Quaint pub Drinks must be ordered at the counter and paid for immediately

My friend and I stumbled on The Grosvenor on a trip to London Friday lunchtime. We were served by the boss who was immediately welcoming and friendly. The beer was excellent and obviously the cellar is kept in good nick. A couple of locals were in who were also friendly and made our visit enjoyable. I don't think they do food any more other than chips but that made it feel more like a pub than a bistro. My friend and I both agreed we would love to have The Grosvenor as our local!

The staff were really friendly and the pub has a cosy outdoor area outback which can be hired for BBQ's in the summer

🚇 Pimlico 🍺 £4.95 Amstel ❤️ Traditional nautical themed pub with a village pub feel. . My Son and I visited here back in May on a mooch around Pimlico and this was the most traditional boozer we visited in the area. The pub is just a five minute walk from Pimlico Tube and pretty easy to get to. The one thing you notice as you approach the pub is how different the building is compared to the surrounding buildings of the Tachbrook estate which was built at the back of the pub after the WWII. Inside you immediately get a feeling you’ve walked in to a village pub out in the sticks, there is a real cosy relaxed feel here. The decor is traditional with a nautical theme running through out with some amazing model ships and a proper red pub carpet for good measure. Due to covid restrictions at the time it was table service only and we were served by a really nice lady who took our order. The pub has plenty going on to keep you entertained with live music, quiz nights, pool table and darts. . This pub was a great find and it was great to visit a pub that hasn’t had to change it’s environment to attract punters. I loved this traditional old school boozer which evoked memories of how the pub landscape looked prior to the mid 90’s. If you want a proper traditional pub experience, then The Grosvenor in Pimlico is a must visit. . 📊 Information correct on visiting 21/05/21

Came in on a cold night to a roaring open fire, and a Guinness!

What a pub should be. Cosy and historic interior, fresh and well poured beers at a reasonable price.

TERRIBLY rude and racist staff (the guy in the blue sweater this evening). He denied my friends and I entry, even though we were returning from a protest and were clearly tired and thirsty. He was only letting White people in, and was immediately locking the main entrance door so that my friends and I cannot enter!! And when we questioned his behaviour, he started saying things like “I am not racist, I am against colonialism”, which is ridiculous. I am appalled by this experience, and request the management to immediately look into this issue. This is unacceptable!

Terrible service - the person at the door didnt allow us inside because we were just returning from the protests for palestine. Instead he let a few others in based on his preference. When we asked why he said ‘he was not raacist and agains colonialism’ which he brought up without any provocation. He was indeed being selective and ruined our whole day when we just wanted to get a snack and drink after a long walk at the protest.

Lovely and cosy atmosphere. Has a pool table 🎱 , few outdoor seatings and plenty of indoor space. The only problem is that they do not serve food, according to the bartenders they haven’t been serving food since after the pandemic. Apart from that, the bartenders and everyone’s very friendly. Highly recommended.

Absolutely racist and inappropriate staff at the entrance of the bar today at around 5:30pm in a blue sweater. He refused to let me and my friends inside because we were people of colour. In the meantime he allowed three white men inside at the exact same time. He started yelling and explained how he was against colonialism and was not a racist. Was shocked and upset with his atrocious behaviour. Never going back to this pub and suggest any person of colour to be safe and cautious too.

Lovely old fashioned pub with young locals and a pool table! Just over from Vauxhall Bridge on the Chelsea embankment side so nice place to stop off for a quick drink whilst out walking yhe Thames Path.

Great little country pub in central London very close to the river Thames.

Lovely pub not too far from Vauxhall and Pimlico station. Has a great selection of beers, wine and spirits. They also serve food as well as light snacks. There is a dart board and pool table as well as several TVs to watch sports. The manager of the pub that served us was friendly and welcoming. Definitely plan another visit soon

This pub is really cosy, I love the ambience and the prices are very affordable, the music here is great and my classmates always come here to party!

Proper traditional pub, a real gem.

Spot on local has been for eternity, the occasional tourist unfortunately comes in or a group of students but it makes good vibes I guess.

Not serving food, and it’s smoky. The server did offer that you could have your own food delivered and eat it on premises… I suppose that’s something.

This pub has Gamma Ray on tap. For that it gets five stars. Other great attributes include: excellent pub style food, quick and friendly service, well light rooms with lots of space and a sun trap garden out the back. One of my favourite pubs in West London.

Just popped in this rustic pub, in a bid to escape the masses. A charming pub with lots of old school character. Great view, outdoor BBQ and seating area mixed memories of bygone days. Well worth the visit.

They no longer serve food. We've been stopping by a couple of times a year to eat and been told that 'temporarily' they have no cook. So do not expect to eat!

Nice place but the bbq area is extremely dangerous and should be reported the night I was there they had a bbq under a plastic roof the fire brigade came and told them to put it out the manager was shouting at on lookers from an estate

This is a really fun funky pub with a great vibe I'd never expect to find in Pimlico. Feels a mix between a nice locals pub, student dive bar, but with a cool vibe and atmosphere missing from the increasingly numerous chain corporate feel pubs taking over every corner. A unique gem worth visiting. Only one beer on cask unfortunately.

One of my go-to pubs in this area. It's not too busy, has a new pool table, and a piano!

Cosy little pub, had the fireplace on the go when I went in, great Guinness and friendly staff. The piano and guitars out for guests to play as well as the pool table on the other side of the bar sets this place above a lot of the pubs in this area!

Forgot my tomato sauce and salt had to eat my fish and chips plain super disappointed and was quite greasy

We visited this nice pub today. Well priced. Unfortunately the resident drunk influenced everyone who entered, making the whole experience uncomfortable. Everyone sort of acknowledged him politely but it would have been better for all if he was not there. No food being served. Will not return. Had vape smoke blown in my face inside the pub which was a first. No need to experience that again.

I liked this pub; you can bring and eat your own food and enjoy ur drinks, the food service finishes at 5pm i guess. Service is good but if you would like to sit in garden after 9pm you have to go to street side or inside the pub because of the neighbours, they are getting angry because of the loud speaking which was interesting to learn. Staff was kind.

Loverly little pub, looks smaller on the outside then inside. Decent bar, nice staff and a typical pub decor. Has a few seats out front.

A really lovely pub, very friendly. Didn't see any cask ale, but enjoyed my visit. I think they might have music on there sometimes, there were some acoustic guitars & a piano there, & some musicians arrived, just as we were leaving.

I first came into this pub nearly 40 years ago when it was called "The Spread Eagle", the pub now is quaint and has a dark, mysterious look about it, it has darts,a pool table and an excellent music system with a large screen attached. A lovely welcoming atmosphere by the staff who were very knowledgeable about any thing concerning the establishment! The chef came in and was very adaptable in his menu, trying to please despite it being late on a Sunday afternoon! A small outside space topped this gem of a pub on a busy road, 5 stars and definitely worth a second visit!

Went to Visit a Friend who lives around the corner from This Pub and decided to go in for a pint. Got Chatting to Paul who served me and what a Gentleman he is. Lovely man with loads of Character and Great Stories. Ended up staying there for hours. 10/10 Paul. Next time I come down I’ll order food. A pal lives round the corner so met him at his local for a couple of pints. Seems like your average boozer for a quiet drink.

A traditional London pub with well priced drinks (Guinness at £5 a pint when I visited), a dart board, a pool table, and excellent food in the form of ribs, brisket, and more from the BBQ plus sides like mac & cheese. I'll be back!

Good beer with friendly staff and welcoming locals. Proper old-fashioned pub to relax and enjoy yourself in. Variety of seating from stools to leather sofas, open fire and, when it's back on again, good grub. Would happily recommend.

Old style pub, lovely staff very welcoming, they have a dart board but its to close to the pool table, would benefit to be moved to another location in the pub, interior needs a little upgrade, apart from that it's warm and friendly

Ok nice pint staff full of themselves.

Arrived as strangers and left as friends. Everybody there was so nice. The owner actually went out and picked up kabobs for us. Nicely poured pints and great atmosphere. If you are in the neighborhood this is a great place to sip a pint and have a chat with locals.

Spent a wonderfully chilled afternoon at this pub this afternoon. Our 3 small dogs were welcomed and fussed over and were given a water bowl and treats. We had the halloumi fries and the nachos and were very happy with both. Will be going back again soon - thank you for looking after us!

Traditional pub. Serves pub food. Decor bit dated and tatty but staff, friendly and efficient. Offered tab which was welcomed! We had two meals, Guinness x 2, g & t x 2 for £32. Good value. Would recommend
