Gronant Inn in Flintshire

Whilst staying at presthaven prestatyn me and my mate thought we'd check out one of the local pubs we'd seen advertised, it's a small walk off the sight up a pretty steep hill but it's worth it, we chatted to a couple of people whilst I waited for a pint and everyone seemed friendly, would definitely go back if we were in the area again.

Love calling in here, very friendly atmosphere, a proper locals pub that welcomes strangers as their own , so you ll feel to be made very welcome

This is a great pub for a fun night out. Very friendly and great atmosphere. It was fireworks and karaoke last night and lots of people. They have new outside takeaway and covered porch área and we had a tasty hotdog and chips for the way home.

Welcoming, friendly and can watch big game football when it's on TV. Run by two local lads who are trying hard in these difficult times to run this small village pub. Beers well priced and we'll kept. Thursday quiz night highly entertaining. It's good.

Right on the national cycle route 5, I stopped in for a pint and everyone was amazing, friendly and great drinkers!! They even lost at pool to me, to make me feel welcomed!

Very dirty glass had lipstick on when given to me did not want to use the wash room

Poster up stating masks must be worn at all times unless sat at your table. Nobody, and I mean nobody including staff or customers wore a mask or adhered to any social distancing measures at all.

Not the most friendly of places, but the bar staff put on some great entertainment upstairs especially during the evening. Although the staff share a lot of the same equipment id definitely go again for the entertainment pushed towards adults

Good pint but not a lot of people get there nice quiet drink comes to mind

We visited after spending the afternoon at the Prestatyn classic car show, having never been in before it turned out to be the perfect place for a couple of thirsty visitors, the landlady kindly let us sample the beer before purchasing, we were spoiled for choice. The beer garden was just the right place on this hot and sunny day.

Visited on 16th December with a number of other people, all over 60 years old. Food and service was good. Good atmosphere and considering the age of some of the group (over 90 years old) we were not rushed.

Love it here,atmosphere ,live music +good beer what more could you ask ,oh and a real fire when its cold ..

Worst pint ive ever had it stunk and tasted vile. Barman wouldn't even change it. Never again

Visited Friday and Saturday ,we were staying in lower gronant for a few days, what a welcome manager and locals made us so welcome, go along on a Saturday night they have entertainment it was well received by everyone and inexpensive drinks. Thank you and we'll see you on our next visit.

service no different...beer cost more...Jake Valintine had left his corner as did the father and son farmers...any know there names....still a good local...plesaent staff.clean bogs good ale.....it will do me.

Had a gig there on Saturday night. The Landlord and landlady Don and Jan are a really nice couple and the locals were great treated me like one of their own. Above all a real nice friendly little place and a good pint.

Went last night, 28th July, with my wife and grand-daughter, has to be the most unwelcoming place I have been in for a very long time. Children are allowed in what can only be discribed as the most basic of outdated rooms, the object would appear to get them into the garden out the way. When we asked if they do food we got a very stern NO. Wouldn't bother with the place again. You would think with the amount of pubs closing in the area they would make an effort with families. Absolutely shocking establishment.

Moved into the areas a few months ago now been into the Gronant a few times lovely traditional village pub friendly landlady and young lad on bar will certainly call in again when we have time

Friendly locals gave a warm welcome, beer reasonably priced so much cheaper than the venues at the bottom of the village, Don and Jan the landlords, your doing a great job, see you soon on our next visit

Good pub in a lovely little village close to Presthaven Beach Resort. Drinks are reasonably priced. Only had a sandwich to be honest was not good! Ham on a barm (not refrigerated) and totally tasteless, would not eat here again. Lovely outside area at rear which is really pleasant in the summer months.

The relatively new landlord and landlady, Donny and Jan respectively, have done a truly wonderful job in turning this local village pub into a warm welcoming venue, as it once was many years ago. Clearly they have dedicated much time, energy and thought (and no small amount of money)into turning the fortunes of the place around. Great beer in terms of quality and choice and the same can be said about the food prepared in a new and comprehensively fitted kitchen which has gained a 5 star rating from the local authority. WELL DONE< Donny and Jan!!!This place is well worth a visit and is ideally situated just up from the main coast road into North Wales.

Could do with a facelift, and, from the lack of other customers both times I visited, seems to be struggling. Beer was OK, and the location is good too, but overall left me with little incentive to revisit.
