Always use the fish and chip shop In groby village. The quality is great and friendly staff and portions are great. The fish and chip shop is very clean and has a high standard of cleanliness by far.

Been meaning to review this fish and chip shop for ages, as its consistently excellent. The fish is gorgeous beautifully cooked with nice crispy batter, the chips are really good, nice and dry. I'd highly recommend this place it's very friendly too.

I can’t emphasise enough how much me and my brother enjoyed our food here! We were served outside by the friendliest member of staff and are 100% going back next weekend at 11:30am for the freshest and tastiest food! We absolutely love both fish and chips and kebabs and this has to be the best I’ve had in a long time. I unfortunately didn’t have a photo of the fish and chips we also shared but it was so fresh and crisp.

This place has gone downhill. Been using for years but the last couple of times has been awful. Fish batter soft, mozzarella sticks with no mozzarella and wrong order given, ordered chicken and mushroom pie and got potato fritter! Will give it a miss now, dont know what has changed?

The portions are huge and great value for money! The fish is to die for. I opted for doner and chips last night and it was piping hot by the time we walked home. The service is quick and friendly. An absolute family fave

Just visited groby fish bar and ordered pie chips and beans ‘ as we’ll as being overpriced the pie was cold as were the beans and they were watererd down. I don’t mind paying top prices for food but come on serve it up better’ poor

Travelled from Markfield as they were shut and just fancied chippy tea.. wow! So glad I did.. fast service, Fantastic portion sizes, very reasonably priced. Can’t really criticise it.

Having visited on a few occasions the fish and chips here are amazing. The tikka kebab is just out of this world Give them a visit you will not be disappointed Well done guys..

Best chip shop I have been to. Staff, cleanliness, quality of food customerservice excellent. The passion for the food that they serve it is unreal. Also please make sure if you go here try there own made chilli sauce absolutely delicious.

We regularly use Groby Fish Shop & cannot overstate just how clean, friendly & delicious the experience is every time. Our current favourites are the mixed kebabs with large salad - splendid (& healthy) in every respect. Good people working hard to provide great food at very decent prices - well done!

Prices are outrageous and so expensive and the food or chips aren’t even good and the staff Take so Long not just do they take their time making the food but it takes them like 2 mins to give you change

I have been meaning to review Groby Fish shop for ages. We use this chippie every week and are so pleased that we have a great chippie in the village at last. We always have a great meal and they always remember what you like. All the staff are friendly and the litle touches like a little tray of chips whilst you are waiting mean alot. They deserve every success ( so we get to keep them)

My partner and I visit groby fish bar regularly , and thoroughly enjoy eating a kebab inside . The kebabs are amazing and the chips are just as good . The staff are always friendly and take time to talk to you whilst you wait . Even giving samples of chips and other bits of food whilst you’re waiting . Very efficient service all the time and I wouldn’t go anywhere else . Donna and Andy xxx

This chip shop is the best in a 10 mile radius. We live 15 mins away from Groby but travel despite there being several chip shops in our area. The staff are very friendly and efficient and the food is top notch every time. Would recommend highly.

Great food, always made to order and served with a smile. Had scampi and haddock, plenty in a portion and large fish. The chip portions are big too. Highly recommend.

Groby Fish Shop is the best chip shop we have come across. Service is quick, friendly and efficient. Chips are always freshly cooked and come piping hot as is the fish. Portions are excellent and outstanding value for money. When we have placed a large order, we have been rewarded with a couple of free bottles of fizzy drinks. When my wife has waited in the car whilst I go in and order our food, staff have noticed and offered a sample portion of chips to take out to her to keep her going. I have never come across that before! We freeze any leftover chips and use as 'oven chips' when needed - just as delicious the second time around. Groby Fish Shop - heartily recommended (making me hungry just writing this) . . . .

A group of us regularly use this chippy and the staff are friendly and can’t do enough to make sure we’re all happy with our order and visit , I would definitely recommend a visit to this recently refurbed establishment.

Found myself really hungry on the way home and stopped for a cheeky sausage and chips. Shop has just been refurbished and is spotless and nicely decorated. Food was first class with little free chocolates to pig myself a bit more. Highly recommended

Always good food and cooked fresh so it’s always hot! When you enter, if they need a few minutes to cook what you’re after, they give you a little tray of chips to eat whilst you wait! Always good customer service here and the food is a reasonable price.

Staying local for a few days. Dropped in around 2.50pm for some lunch. A huge whale of a fish freshly cooked along with freshly cooked chips, lovely light and crispy batter! Friendly staff. Well done!! Fantastic

Se trata de una toma de distancia, no un restaurante. Tenemos una venda bien cerca, pero en la milla extra para usar este. Las fichas están mucho mejor. El pescado es un tamaño bueno para mí, y puedo comer con los mejores. Mi esposa tiene un montón en uno pequeño. El bateador, mantienen fresco, está bien. En cuanto a las patatas fritas, una porción estándar es fácilmente suficiente para nosotros dos. El servicio es eficiente y el costo razonable.

Had a Friday fish & chip / kebab / burger supper - All very nice - kebabs really good!!! Pity ordered too many chips as the large portions do contain a lot! If you are in the area recommend it!!

The batter was an issue that I cannot easily get over... Sort it out... Buy a Groupon for making batter? The chips and curry sauce were alright.

I went to Groby Fish Bar after work for a quick bite. Ordered a small chips with cheese and BBQ sauce with a jumbo sausage. Both items came quickly. The sausage was nice and the chips were crisp but not overdone and the icing on the cake was the chips came with Red Leicester cheese on them which is a nice touch.

Ordered a kebab meat and chips, the money was taken and the young lad on the kebab counter forgot about me and served other customers. Only when the boss asked what I was waiting on did the young chap remember, the food was very good but the 15 minute + wait was not acceptable

Fast service, big fish, good range of other foods - and far, far too many well-cooked chips.There is limited parking outside, but it's close enough to other parking areas for a very short walk.
