I visit Greggs at Wetherby jcn 46 A1 regular. I have found the staff to be very pleasant & good at their jobs. It is a busy shop & they always work hard. One young man in particular, named Nikhil (please forgive me if spelt wrong) always takes the time to ask about my day. This really gives me faith in human nature. Thank you all for making my journey more pleasant Barb

They were extremely slow with no sense of urgency, and spent more time chatting to their colleagues rather than serving their customers. The food was undercooked and of an extremely poor quality. Safe to say we will not be returning to that Greggs in the foreseeable future.

This Greggs was poorly signposted in the service area. We thought it would be in the main building but after looking all around we found it outside tucked away between the hotel and the main services. Better signage would help us Greggs lovers! Worse though was the really poor quality of the coffee. Perhaps they were trying to squeeze more cups out of the beans but the flat whites were un drinkable as they tasted like dish water. Unfortunately we only discovered this once we were driving back on the motorway. To finish on a positive the iced buns were delicious.

Handy for a cuppa after work or during a shop. The cafe is situated in the simply food store and it’s clients are generally local. Good service and bright and airy cafe. Huge windows mean it gets very hot in sunny weather. No outside seating.

Chanced upon this food cart at the A1 northbound service centre in Wetherby. Had the traditional cornish pasty - it was served hot and was delicious! Except for the hand-crimped part of the pastry which was too doughy, the pastry and filling tasted great together.

Unfortunately the Railway Inn is still closed with apparently no date for reopening. The Railway Inn is owned by Samuel Smith's brewery and no further information is available.

Oh. My. GOD. Let me tell you about my night at this pub in Knaresborough because, honey, it was an absolute disaster – and not the fun, reality-TV kind. No, this was the kind of drama that would make a telenovela look like a casual tea party. I sauntered in, thinking I was about to have the night of my life – and with this face, why wouldn’t I? The place was cute enough, I’ll give it that, and I thought, “This might actually be fabulous.” But oh no, darling, the universe had other plans. First off, the online ordering system was down. DOWN. In 2024! I mean, I might as well have been trying to send a telegram! The whole point of going to a pub these days is to sip a cocktail while casually tapping away on your phone, right? But noooo. Instead, I had to walk to the bar like some peasant from the 1800s. The nerve! The bar? PACKED. I could feel the wrinkles forming as I waited, endlessly, for someone to notice me. And when they finally did? They had the audacity to act like it was my fault that their ancient system had crumbled. I swear, I was two seconds away from giving them a live performance of “And I Am Telling You” right there. But wait, there’s a twist: the toilets. GORGEOUS. I mean, I walked in and thought I’d been transported to a high-end spa. Marble, mirrors, the lighting was divine—honestly, it was like a little slice of heaven in the middle of this disaster zone. I spent more time in the bathroom admiring the décor than I did actually eating or drinking. Priorities, darling. So, here’s the tea: if you’re after a stunning restroom experience, by all means, swing by. But if you’re hoping for decent service or a smooth ordering process, save yourself the heartbreak. I left hungry, frustrated, but at least with a fabulous selfie from the loo. 1.5 stars – And that’s only because the toilets SLAYED.
