Greggs in Canterbury

Went In to wait near the till around 13.40 today and i saw no sign saying where the queue is. I waited fairly near the till on the right side and the customer assistant refused to serve me until she prioritized someone who arrived after me as she said i wasnt in the queue. I found this extremely annoying and I felt I didn't want to buy after this as I didn't like how I was treated and spoken too. The Lady was rude.

Just tried to buy two sausage rolls and they wouldn’t give us any Kerch up or tomato sauce said company policy How ridiculous Disappointing

It would appear I had terrible service from the same young lady who works there as a previous poster. Was very busy had two hot sausage rolls one for me and one for my little girl which were given in one bag. When I realised how hot they were I asked for another bag so my little girl could have hers separately and she refused to go up to the counter to get one!! She wasn’t at the tills at the time but huge que and could see her colleagues were under pressure. Any way, waited for ages trying to get their attention but couldn’t so asked very politely the young lady again as her colleagues were really busy would she mind just helping out and she point blank refused again!!! This isn’t the first time I’ve had bad service from this individual. Would suggest she either gets a non customer facing role or Greggs give her some much needed training!!! She will be losing them business.

I went In today and ordered two takeaway drinks. They did take a while to come out so my Mum had sat down. She has MS so can't stand for long periods. I sat down with her and had my drink. The lady that served us came out very aggressive and rude to tell us I said takeaway. I apologised and said I didn't realise it meant we couldn't sit with takeaway drinks. She didn't just then go she continued to have a go at us both in a very rude and sarcastic manner which led to everyone staring at us. There are ways of handling things in a polite and professional manner. Especially when I did apologies. I have reported this to HR who are looking into this further. We won't be returning again and find it disgusting to discriminate against those with disabilities.

We popped in here a couple of times, while in Canterbury. Nice friendly service, good selection of food, and worth a visit.

Nice greggs, pleasant staff and breakfast sausage and bacon bap was nice and warm last week. Vegan sausage roll was stone cold. Needs to be improved.

I always love and appreciate a Greggs store - this particular store did more and beyond! Had my day made by the trainee, Kieron - absolute excellent service, smile and brilliant sausage rolls! Thanks so much!

I love eating at Greggs or simply getting a take-way. The sausage and bean slice is really tasty and great for breakfast or lunch.

Thank goodness for Greggs and the quality food together with great service. If you need a snack, a coffee and a sausage roll will get you through.

I do love a greggs sausage roll. However most branches cannot get temperature right. This branch is an exception same great sausage rolls served by friendly staff at the right temperature.

As with all Greggs I found the staff to be friendly and polite. had to wait a while to get a nice hot sausage roll as there were none hot on arrival. although this is not unexpected. the shop was not one of the tidiest I have been to and during my stay no one cleaned a table! leaving at least 3 of the 5 tables covered in crumbs! the drinks display was being topped up as i had my coffee but the food displays were a tad lacking content even at 2 in the afternoon! However once they came out of the oven the Sausage Rolls were up to the traditional Greggs standards!

Lovely Sausage roll and can of coke for £1.90 can't go wrong,the bacon rolls are good as well. Service can be slow during busy times.

With a few tables and coffee with a bacon roll at £2.25 it really is hard to beat. Lady serving was very pleasant too.

Fancied a quick hot snack only to find the food cold ! The only good thing to say is the doughnut tasted nice. Unfortunately won’t be visiting again.

Had a beef pastry, could not find any beef very disappointed after Gregg's was recommended by a friend.

The take away food is always great! It’s a shame that the staff are always so unfriendly and they seem to always have problems with the payment system, as I have been charged twice on three separate occasions now!

Sometimes you just a snack and a drink, when you walk in its a Greggs and it could do with more cleaning at times. I orderd a sausage roll and a bottle of water, I was asked if I would like to add anything else well how could refuse a cake. Of I am under no illusion that it's all pre baked "it is what it is" the food was good service was good. And when I walked out it's Still Greggs. But for quick snack it's ok.

Had a toasted cheese sandwich here today. A good price and very good service. The place was very busy but I managed to find a table to sit and enjoy it at. Soon finished. It was very nice.back out to the shops....

I was feeling hungry and wanted a quick snack and Greggs came to the rescue with some jam doughnuts.

My 3rd visit in the last 2 weeks was no better than the previous 2. On the 1st, they had run out of sausages by 10am despite claiming to serve them until 11am. My 2nd visit was greeted with the news that, again by 10am, they had run out of rolls and baguettes (isn't this a bakers?). This mornings 10am visit found they had run out of rolls, again, but I was still able to order a sausage baguette. When I got back to my desk, I unwrapped it to find........undercooked bacon and not a sausage in sight! Poor

On a cold winter's day,the tasty coffees with a sausage roll and cheese and bacon wrap were hard to beat.The Staff were friendly,service was prompt and the small cafe was comfortable.

Had a bacon roll and coffee, found the bacon too salty but coffee was ok. Staff were so so, could have been friendlier.

Popped in for a bite of lunch, always love the sausage rolls, pasty bakes, cakes, buns & baguettes etc but we tried the pizza slices for the first time...(was told the BBQ chicken pizza slice was the best but for some reason they never seem to have it anymore?)so we had a pepperoni slice & cheese slice, even had to wait for them to be freshly cook but unfortunately they weren't very nice, very doughy, not cooked enough & didn't taste very good It's a shame but wont be having them again But will still go for the pastries

Me and my friend stopped by here for a coffee and something to bite. Amazing value for food here, and yummy too!

Good range of hot and cold lunch items. Very reasonably priced. Very clean if you chose to sit inside to eat.

Nipped in a few days ago during lunch time. 4 staff members were serving the speed of service was great. Food was hot. When i asked the manager at the till for a meatball baguette he said they are in the sandwich selector and even went to get new one. Great service

My husband and I went into Greggs for a quick snack.. sitting down to eat I noticed the cleanliness for very poor.. I approached a member of staff and asked if something could be done to sort this problem.

Nice food. When it is crowded it seems rather cramped & there is not all that much seating. Centrally located in the shopping area of Canterbury.

I am a huge fan of greggs and the lovely assortment of pastries and sandwiches. Every greggs you go to has the same food at the same great quality, with the same ridiculously low price.The pepperoni pizza slices are the best thing year round, but if you go during the festive season you have to try their festive bake... its Christmas in a puff pastry slice... AMAZING!

Always there when you need them. A small seating area in here and a great selection of warming pastries lovingly heated from frozen on the premises. I like a steak slice and a chicken slice in succession. Kind of like a yin yang thing with me. The dark gravy and tender cuts of reheated steak followed by the creamy richness of the industrial produced chicken. A couple of gingerbread men to take home for the the kiddies and a Belgian bun for me as afters. Nice coffee here, although I tend to pop over the street to pound land for crisps or drinks, the latter to wash down this happy shopper banquet. Any visitor to these isles should visit greggs at least once during their stay and return jealous that such tasty wares are to be found in every town on these shores

It amuses me that I'm writing a review on Trip Advisor for Greggs. Surely everyone knows what to expect from Greggs?! Well... if you don't, I advise that you go for the sausage, bean and cheese melt because they're great. Good for a cheap lunch, this branch also has a few tables so you can sit in and eat your pasty of choice in relative comfort.
