Had an absolute sarnie dilemma when I visited this Gregg's, wor lass had sent me out to get a tandoori chicken baguette, law and behold there were none when I got there, messaged wor lass with the situation and she was pretty miffed about the baguette crisis, told me to ask behind the counter. Asked the lad if there was any in the back, off he went and returned with not one but two tandoori chicken baguettes. Absolute hero. Wor lass got what she wanted and I got a steak bake, lovely stuff. The Gregg's itself is located right next to the bookies, pasty and a gamble, a match made in Stanley.

Ordered from the heritage cafe today Couldn’t decide what to have as there’s loads of delicious choices to be made Decided to order the chicken parmo with chips And two lots of quiche and chips And of course the sprinkle cake and custard Everything arrived piping hot and delicious Can’t wait to order again soon

High Streetcontact before arrival regarding ordering a meal with my unusual requirements already heralded a good choice of place, not big in size but big in soul and atmosphere there, I was taken care of from arrival to departure every second, the kitchen and its chef are a wonder, in the whole of England I have not eaten such surf and turf as here, I was full and happy, the staff took care of every second that nothing was missing. rested and satisfied with although a short but successful trip I returned home
