Greggs in County Durham

Greggs is Greggs, know what you are going in for. Usual selection of goodies, pies, pasties, sandwich, pastries, cakes etc and an outside seating area should you need it.

It's Gregg's you all no what your getting tho I think there expensive but every crack head eats there so maby not

Very small and can be very busy.

I loved to visit Greggs. I used to buy pizza, sweet treats including a millionaire caramel shortbread, and gingerbread man for every Wednesday.

You get a great coffee here and the staff are very helpful

I always like Greggs. It's great value for money; even better still if you have the app (my thoughts below). This store is staffed by friendly people. They also provide a friendly service and you are always greeted with a smile. Sometimes it's hard to get a table so often find takeaway is my only option. That said Greggs tend to keep rennovating their stores with no seats at all; so it looks like they are moving towards being takeaway only; also reflected in the decision to no longer use anything but paper cups and bags. The app.. yes I think the app sweetens the deal even more however you would have to buy at least nine coffees or pies to get a freebie. Regular visitor to this store.

Prices up again, only went up a few weeks ago. That's it I am finding elsewhere for my lunch. Also they charge more for eating in, virtually everywhere else as the same price in or out. THEY ARE JUST PROFITEERING !

It is what it is...spot on for a bacon sandwich and coffee on a morning in a hurry, can't beat it

One of the largest Greggs stores I regularly use and its good, staff are friendly and polite. Usually quite a large and good variety of food and drinks on offer with the addition of the small seating area for a quick coffee. Probably one of the reasons the Newgate centre is still open is because of this store and Wilko.

Fantastic customer service. Food was a delight as always. The kind lady warned me about my sausage being hot ;). Only marked down a star because selection of food was lacking compared to other stores I have visited. Steve stars 7/10 Steve xx

Bought and paid for mine and my grandson lunch on the go no seating available so we sat in my to eat the only thing wrong was the Cappachino very weak no taste

Always love the different pasties and bakes, even with a variety of treats and snacks for afterwards. Haven't been in a while, so don't know how it runs during covid but the food overall is great. 10/10

Great little Greggs, the staff are always friendly, will happily tell you when the next warm ones are coming out! however that is if they are not already warm! 9 times out of 10 when i have been in there they are nice warm and crispy just how they should be! Highly recommend if you are in or around bishop and you fancy a Greggs you head here.

My friends and I went into this Greegs store while visiting Bishop Auckland and the service was quick we didn't have to wait in a long line. The staff were friendly and the store was clean.

Didn't seem to be much choice on a Sunday afternoon. I get that wastage can be a problem, but any left over can surely be donated to a shelter or people in need. Huge queue, and super slow service. Would be 3 stars, but hey, tasty food.

Greggs is fantastic good food, just needs more vegan products....

Excellent service... lush coffee

This cafe was one of the few places open on a wet Sunday afternoon and we were glad to be able to get a good cup of tea and a place to sit.

I baught a pasty they gave me a very cold one while another member of staff gave somebody else same pasty out of the oven when there was plenty left on the shelf we paid 3.50 for our items they only paid for there one item. Bad customer service.

Went for a quick cup of coffee and a snack at the height of lunch time crush. Queue to the doorway, but served very quickly by friendly staff. Well done.

Greggs is always busy but I like to pop in for a coffee and a treat on my way home. Staff are always cheerful and helpful.

Not enough staff. You don't have time to stand in queues for 15 minutes when you only have a 10 minute break.

We were looking for a cup of tea and cake at about 4.30pm on a visit to Bishop and at that time there is not much choice on the High Street but we spotted this small branch of Greggs inside the shopping centre. The tea was good and cheap and the cakes excellent and again cheap. The staff were really friendly too.

Usually quite busy during peak times, Greggs offers a large variety of consumable goods. Prices can be a little steep when sitting in if you can find someone in which to sit.

Every time I have ordered a pasty from here for last 6 months now it has been stone cold. Won't bother anymore as just wasting my time getting refunded.

It seems everytime we go to this location in Bishop Auckland everything is cold. Disappointing but when service personnel actually tell you that's how they are I'm inclined to think the quality of Greggs product and employees are falling well below the mark of any reason to return. Use to really enjoy a hot pasty, now we just walk by and go elsewhere. Do not recommend this location.

The pizza here is delicious and so is the sausage rolls. Love this place😀
