Green Tomato Cafe in Brighton and Hove

Food is tasty and comes really fast, servers are friendly and will make any adjustments without hesitation. Would definitely recommenced if you want a proper full English (which they sell at any time of day!) or a sandwich at lunch.

Lovely staff, a nice place to get some food and work a little bit. The food is always good, with veggie and vegan options which is always a massive plus! It's nice that the food is almost all locally sourced and they're very sustainable, so there's less guilt knowing you're contributing to help businesses be more eco-friendly and animal friendly :) Also very affordable, especially compared to other veggie/vegan places!

5 pound offer for meal deal on door but just for one filling. Waitress looked like she shouldn't have been there, possibly standing-in and couldn't speak English properly, also not that friendly. I ordered a Baghette and drink which took for ever and the bacon was undercooked I could have choked on it. She Also sat and had her lunch in front of me when I ate which I thought was rude. Dirty looking place.

Ordered eggs Benedict and 2 milkshakes the eggs was mushy and like eating olivers gruel ! And the overpriced milkshakes was thinner than milk. Will not be ordering again !! Thanks but no thanks !!

I have always walked past this place not thinking to go in. Today I did and it was the best cooked full English I have ever had! Everything was perfect and the service was amazing. I asked for an ice coffee the man explained he does not make them much so was unsure but it was exactly how I wanted it and tasted amazing. Will definitely be coming back.

The service was great in fact faultless the food was average I am afraid. I had the full English and the bacon was pallid and under cooked. I'll try again.

I went in this place for a quick meal with a friend, we had an English breakfast and a vegetarian English breakfast. The member of the stuff were friendly and welcoming but the ingredient weren't as fresh as should be. Wasn't a terrible experience and I eat every thing but with a simple dish as the one I had, the ingredient are every thing.

Been here a few times and can't complain, usually get a full english for £6.50 which is very cheap! I think they have just had a referb, it's very clean and not cramped! would recommend for a quick fry up in the mornings. They also have vegetarian options, omelettes, jackets potatoes and cakes.

I have been here a couple of times now and each time the food has been excellent. I had toast, eggs and mushrooms and my husband had a fry up. The service was great and the food arrived swiftly. We will definitely come again.

Terrific wraps with a whole load of combinations you won't see anywhere else. Service is very friendly and you will soon find yourself amongst friends. Naughty toddlers very welcome, which adds to the family atmosphere. I would recommend to families and people who like a busy and informal place.

This is a local cafe on Western Road in Brighton, great, efficient service and lovely food. Best English Breakfast I've had in Brighton!

Big portion sizes and good value Limited breakfast options though. Not the best quality fry up in Brighton but good none the less. Toast and beans let it down.

I often pop in to the Green Tomato for a take away coffee and have meant to try a breakfast there for years now. Finally I want with my family for a brunch. We all had a large fry up, which included all the trimming in generous quantities. the sausage and bacon were both good quality and we enjoyed it all. The meal was of a high standard and was excellent value. We shall be returning soon.

My partner and I were staying in Hove for a weekend away and on Saturday morning were looking for somewhere to have a hearty breakfast to set us up for the day and The Green Tomato was perfect! I had the light breakfast of egg, sausage, bacon, tomato and beans, while my partner enjoyed smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. The portion sizes were super! For such a great price as well. We didn't have to eat until dinner time! The orange juice was lovely and fresh too and plentiful. The best bit though has to be the owner who was happy to chat to us about the local area, made us feel very welcome and made our visit very enjoyable and comfortable so we left full and in a good mood. Came here for first time even though I live round the corner. Had a great breakfast. Good quality food and prices not bad ever. This is highly recommend

Big Portions and economic prices make this place a firm favourite with the young clientele. Free wifi too and decent coffee as well!

If you want a good quality sandwich, breakfast or meal this is a lovely little cafe. Always good quality at reasonable prices every time I have been in.

Had lunch here with the kids. They had super jackets with cheese and beans. I had a scrummy avocado and halloumi wrap. Breakfasts look A-mazing so we will be goung back to sample those soon! Super friendly staff and service.

Regularly come here for breakfast at the weekends and we love it! The food is great, lovely service and lovely atmosphere. Not tried the rest of the menu, but if you're looking for a great cafe breakfast in Brighton you'll love this place!

Looking for somewhere for a light lunch.The food was very tasty,interesting selection and very varied.The staff were so friendly and cheery.Loved it.Will definitely go again
