Green Meadow Golfland Country Club in Monmouthshire

I was shocked that there were no disabled parking spaces and I had to drop my elderly disabled mother at the front entrance then drive a fair distance to the tennis courts car park to park my car. I am also disabled and have to use a walking mobility aid which was quite difficult as I had to walk on the main road to the venue to get back. There was no dropped kerb to allow me to use the very narrow inadequate footpath. Very very disappointed at the lack of disabled parking for such a large and well used venue.

Today we visited for Sunday lunch. The only thing available was Christmas lunch at £29.50 for 3 courses. No option to have less courses. My husband and I ordered breaded brie, what a joke two tiny segments arrived each. I would expect at least twice this amount. The roast beef was disappointing - three tiny segments of roast potatoes and then overcooked bland looking veg. The Bailey’s cheesecake was bland and again tiny. I do not make a habit of complaining but honestly this food is vastly overpriced and of very poor quality. I do not mind paying at all for good quality food. This is not much better than school dinners. On a positive note, the place is very clean and tidy, and all staff are polite.

Great place for a party, warm cosy and beautifully decorated. Disappointed there were no parsnips which is standard for a Christmas dinner. No extra gravy. The meal itself was hot and really enjoyable. There were rolls and butter but they didn't serve any starters. The meal we knew when booking was main&dessert only so to have rolls and butter was just odd. No crackers and no wine although there were wine glasses laid on the table. Majority of our glow sticks didn't work. I've been to lots of xmas party nights at various establishments and have always had complimentary table wine&water, a drink on arrival and xmas music. Only 1 xmas song was played by the dj all night!! We did have a great time and the service by all the staff was 5*

Went with a group of work mates for a meal after work. Lovely atmosphere, polite staff, cosy place and scenic, but wasn't too impressed with my food. I ordered a cheese and onion toasted sandwich, but it was just bog standard. At first, I received the wrong one sandwich, which was returned and when the correct one did arrive,it was barely toasted on the top and the cheese wasn't melted and onion was still raw. I returned the supposedly toasted sandwich asking if the cheese could be melted? The waitress once again returned with the sandwich and my request had been met with the cheese melted, however, it appeared that this must have been done in the microwave as I ended up with a very floppy toasted sandwich. I may have well just as well as ordered a plain sandwich, which will probably be the case if I do ever eat there again! I expected better quality with the food, but my experience was very disappointing!

This place had gone so downhill. Ordered panini and chips and waited 25 minutes for them to arrive. There were no funerals being catered for and when the chips arrived they were anemic and soft. Ironically there were a few that were overcooked. I asked for them to be just put back in the fryer to crisp them up but this took an additional 15 minutes. When they arrived there was a mixture of white chips with some brown ones - better than the first offering but not by much’We couldn’t understand why there was such a diversity of colours/ crispness if they were all cooked in the same fryer at the same time ! I wish I’d taken a photo as that would have explained it much better. Poorly staffed as there was some golf stuff going on and only one person behind the bar who did her best. Another funeral contingent came in but were only there for drinks and the bar was 8 deep! They had informed the club that would be the case but there were no other staff on hand to alleviate the situation. Dreadful management and food

Service extremely slow Took over an hour for a plain baguette Salad and sandwich, also charged £5.25 for plain bread and butter for my son. Service bad. Food okay. Overpriced. Constantly looking for staff to offer, pay etc. would not return.

Service was great, food was delicious and the decor of the place looked fab. Portion sizes were large but didn’t affect the quality. Will definitely be back and be telling family and friends

We booked GreenMeadow Golf Club for a graduation celebration for 14 people. The staff were welcoming and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. They even decorated our table space with banners, balloons and table confetti. The food was fine and reasonably priced. A lovely place with beautiful surroundings for our family get together.

Recently held a dinner dance /party for 80+ guests. Fabulous venue, beautiful function room with bar and dance floor with the added bonus of an additional bar and seating area. From when we booked the event through to actual event, staff were helpful, friendly and accommodating. Food on the night… three course roast dinner followed by tea/coffee and mints was fabulous and excellent value. Hot and delicious. Also catered really well for a variety of dietary requirements with no compromise on quality. We brought in our own entertainment ‘The Brothers of Blues’ from Abergavenny who were also amazing … really got the party going. Dance floor was never empty. Would definitely recommend the Green Meadow Golf and Country Club.

Not impressed on this occasion. Bar tender rushed off her feet. She was clearly stressed having to deal with 2 bars to serve which made her stroppy/rude. Food wasn't that good not very hot or enjoyable unfortunately on this visit.

Attended here on Easter Monday for lunch, have to say we were not disappointed food was lovely, staff very welcoming lovely surroundings, will definitely be returning.

What an amazing place, friendly and family orientated resort, well kept, clean and one of the best places around. This has to be no1 in Cwmbran.

Pathetic amount of food put on for a family function. So much so that members of my family were ordering takeaways for when they got home. So just a word of warning if you decide to do a birthday/anniversary there… do not go for the buffet it’s an absolute rip off.

Enjoyed the course . Golf pro very welcoming. Tee off time punctual. Club house staff friendly. Toilets clean. Food good value and tastes good selection.

Made a reservation on the morning of 24 August 2021. The occasion was the celebration of my Mother's 95 birthday. We arrived as arranged at 7pm, and were seated by a window in the Restaurant. Before the waitress returned to take our order, I had managed to swot 3 large bluebottles - the more I killed the more seemed to appear... Not conducive to the promotion of an appetite by any stretch of the imagination!! On looking at the menu, it became clear that there was little resemblance to that which was published on their website. The website gave the impression that there was a good choice when in actual fact the choice was very limited. We consumed some of the drinks we ordered on arrival and then left to find another restaurant. Very poor. I would not recommend this restaurant.

Had a very enjoyably evening meal. Staff very attentive. Food took some time to arrive but it was well worth the wait. Well presented hot and plentiful. We all had a lovely time.

Had a delicious Sunday lunch here today. Really well organised in terms of COVID-19 regulations. Great table service. Carrot and butternut squash was outstanding. Lovely pint of real ale, well kept. Highly recommend in these difficult times

Booked a table for afternoon tea for my mother in law’s hen do.Walked in to a lovely restaurant to a table that was very well set up for us. However there was a big brown stain hidden underneath my teacup! A lovely girl come and served us tea and coffee but as there was only one jug on the table and 8 of us the milk run out very fast so some of us had to wait for more milk.The food then come out. We had a lovely selection of sandwiches which were lovely but the bread was slightly stale.There was a very unusual platter of cakes which consisted of chocolate cake that seemed to have a lemon like frosting which was a bit odd. Lovely scones with jam and cream, big slices of carrot and a blueberry and maybe oat muffin?There was plenty for everyone and we couldn’t even finish it. The girl made sure our teas and coffee stayed topped up as well. All in all the customer service was lovely and so was the platter just a shame about the stale bread and the big brown stain but can’t complain for £9.50.Lovely hen do! Praise to the lovely lady who worked at the bar, brilliant customer service.

My friends and I regularly meet on Fridays and choose a different place every time. Today was no exception so we met at the GreenMeadow golf club. When we got there it was extremely busy. But that did not stop is getting a table in the bar area which is very cosy. I ordered a latte and a fresh turkey baguette and fair due the latte was lovely and the baguette was hot and very tasty.

Have been let down for our Christmas night out with just weeks to go very disappointed! Friends past and present looking forward to a get together.

We booked a table for a family Sunday roast and weren’t disappointed. The service was great with friendly staff. Our waitress, Sinead, looked after us well. The food was all fresh and piping hot. A good variety of vegetables available and a selection of desserts to tempt everyone in our party. Well done Greenmeadow!

This golf club also supports the many wakes from the nearby crematorium. As a consequence the catering is better than the avverage club but remains sturdily in the Golf Club tradition. Good nosh without frills

Attended a function here last week. Buffet looked ok but fries were soft and cold. The chicken pieces were also undercooked and cold. Sandwiches were good however but the sausage rolls were lovely.

I am completely biased about this place as I go to the gym here.

My wife and I got married at the golf club on the 26th August 2017, the day and night went absolutely fantastic and our guests seemed to enjoy every minute of it. Nicola the wedding co-ordinator is a fantastic credit to the golf club as nothing was ever to much to trouble for her and we were looked after from the moment we booked our wedding here back in 2016, I would recommend anyone to the club, All the staff at the club worked extremely hard to provide the perfect day for us. Thank you to everyone who made our day so special.

A friend and I had occasion to visit this lovely little golf club for a game, the pro shop staff were very helpful, the buggies were great and the course was spectacular.

I have always loved coming here and it never disappoints. We came for a surprise 65th birthday for my Nan and the staff made sure that they delivered to their highest standard. We came with a large party of 21 people, which for a normal venue would be a major issue, but not for these guys. All dishes came out on time and was pipping hot and none of it was sent back, which to me is amazing working within hospitality myself knows how hard this can be. Unfortunately I wasn't able to take down the staff names who served our table but if you could pass on my thanks it would be much appreciated. I will be returning in November with a party of equal size and I hope that we will receive the same service then that we did today. Thank you to everyone you are doing amazing

Came here for Sunday lunch with the family. All slopped on one tiny plate. Cost over £65 for 6 of us absolutely dreadful food and terrible value for money. At home half an hour later and we are ordering a Chinese as we are so hungry. Never again. Sorry love the club and the staff but this really was awful.

Chips were very good ham thin gricery store types though plenty of it the egg was only right for one in our party of 3. For the price it needed to be right.Friendly staff and good service to the table

Whilst working away from home I tend to take my golf clubs in case I get a spare few hours. I was only staying up the road from here and decided to go and have a look. What an absolute beauty of a course. The scenery is amazing. The course was in fantastic condition to. It is a test for any golfer. There are some really picturesque holes here. I strolled in around 3pm on a Thursday and booked 18 holes with ease and only for £10!!!! What a bargain. I was expecting much but how wrong was I.If I am in the area again I will be coming back. My birthday weekend away in September with the lads will be in Cardiff and I will be bringing them here to have a good crack. Enjoyed it

Planned a surprise anniversary party from 4000 miles away. Nicola the event organizer was great to work with and the food of chicken in a basket with chips followed by home-made apple pie and cream got rave reviews from the attendees. Nice room, nice atmosphere, good food and drink all at a reasonable price.

Attended a dinner at Green Meadow and was so disappointed to see the main course come out just dolloped on a plate. No dishes of vegetables, no he's y boat. Just looked down here's your dinner.It's hardly surprising that there was no one else in the hotel other than our party. You can't live on funerals forever, or maybe you can.

I had won a voucher for four people for afternoon tea here and it was a lovely surprise. Beautiful location, fantastic service by friendly staff and freshly made sandwiches and plenty of cake. The sponge and carrot cake seemed home made, the scones and muffins delicious. Maybe the sandwiches were a bit ordinary, cheese, ham and egg but we were quite happy with it. A lovely afternoon, thoroughly recommended.

We had a lovely surprise visit on a Friday lunch time. Beautiful surroundings lovely friendly staff and cheap pub prices for a great plateful of food. Budwiser on tap wine by glass or bottle very reasonable. Yes we will return.

Lovely establishment with a warm feel and very friendly staff, our visit was for a birthday, the food was lovely the staff are great and we enjoyed it very much the pub area is very authentic and a great atmosphere, incredibly relaxing. The only quarrel I have is that on our arrival we noticed a dessert trolley, the temperature that day was mid 20 degrees and the trolley remained in the heat from our arrival to departure, I did not eat anything as they were fresh cream desserts, might I suggest the trolley and the contents be refrigerated until required, there was also flies which put us off, regardless this didn't stop us from thoroughly enjoying our visit and we will definitely be returning.

Enjoyed a meal here once again and it never fails to disappoint, there's a good choice of food, either from the special offers or the A La Carte menu, and a choice to eat in the Restaurant or bar. The food is always hot and delicious The waitress was very helpful and friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.

I visited her today for Sunday lunch with the family & have to say, I was very impressed. The surroundings are just beautiful & the club itself is lovely. Service was great & the food was wonderful. Everything was perfectly clean, sparking even. Will definitely be returning! Oh & not bad prices either. Totally recommended.

We came here yesterday to celebrate a colleagues retirement. The food was OK, nothing special, in comparison to the building and grounds it was definitely not up to standard. The waitress brought our tea and coffee in first and had no interaction with us as costumers and looked rather unhappy to be there. She then proceeded to bring our food out, even though the whole parry had not arrived and again with no communication to the customers and a miserable face. Every time we ran out of tea and coffee we had to get up and leave the room, go to the bar and ask for more, rather than staff asking if everything was okay or if we needed anything. We were not allowed to arrange the tables so that we could sit together as one group so lots of people had their backs to one another- the staff said it would disrupt other customers even though nobody else came in. Quite dissatisfied, I had higher expectations of this place.

For my parent's Ruby Wedding Anniversary I arranged an afternoon tea party for 36 people at Greenmeadow Golf and Country Club which was held in their Llansor Suite. The food was of excellent quality and the service and staff faultless. Everybody commented on how lovely an afternoon tea it was. One guest had food allergies which was considerately managed without any issue. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone with an event to plan.

My husband and I enjoyed another great Sunday lunch here yesterday. We hadn't booked a table but we were made very welcome and given a table in the conservatory. The conservatory is always well laid out with lovely table linen. We had the set three course lunch, we both chose the leek and potato

We booked for a buffet following a cremation service at the nearby Gwent Crematorium.The room overlooked the course and countryside and was a very pleasant location.The buffet itself was fine, plenty to eat, and the hot items were piping hot.Obviously a popular spot, as when we arrived there were three other funeral groups already.

Our table was booked for 1 o'clock we ordered our food by 1:15 it took over an hour to arrive, although food was good it let themselves down by the wait. I suggest if you go there book your food over the phone if you know the menu.

Dim lighting throughout the spa area, very difficult to do your makeup in poor lighting.Excellent back massage. Staff very helpful and friendly.Very ordinary tea. The sandwiches were good but none of the cakes were home made. Ginger cake, lemon drizzle cake mass produced slabs. Welsh cake, scone and meringue typical supermarket variety.

I organised a surprise 65th birthday party for my husband.the greenmeadow golf and country club made it so special.carl was so professional in helping me with the arrangements.and on the day all and I mean all the staff went out of their way to make his birthday so memorable.i must add that the buffet was remarkable.many thanks

Have been to a few functions here and have to say this one was the best. Staff were very helpful and efficient without being intrusive. The food was outstanding both hot and cold choices and plenty of it! The room was decorated and very welcoming for everyone. I would definitely recommend here to anyone looking for a function room. Well done all.

Myself and my girlfriend attended a surprise birthday party last night held in your function room. We had a nice time and bought many drinks. What I do not appreciate is your staff, one lady in her late fortys of stocky build and blonde hair in particular asking my girlfriend as to 'what was in her bag'. The bag at this point was open on the table and upon the response of 'excuse me' from my girlfriend she proceeded to pull the bag toward her and rummage through it. I, not being sat at the table was appalled at your staffs behaviour. I find it extremely intrusive. On questioning it became apparent she was searching for non corked alcohol. I demand that she be disciplined as to not to affect the experience for future guests. But we shall not be visiting your establishment again.

I recently attended this venue for a wedding anniversary meal. A private room was booked for 43 guests. The room was light and spacious with doors opening up to the golf course. We were all seated on 4 large round tables. Food was pre-ordered and came in timely fashion by the very helpful staff. The set menu did seem a little dated and 70s... however it was served hot and was a delight. I had soup to start followed by a roast beef Sunday lunch. Everyone was happy with their food and all the meat options were plentiful and well cooked. My wife had the vegetarian lasagne which was homemade and we'll cooked with nicely browned cheese on top with chips as requested. For desert, the desert trolley came around with a few cheesecake options. Wow.. Very enjoyable! In all we had a good time, lovely room, staff and good honest food at reasonable prices. I will be returning..

We recently visited the restaurant with a work colleague and his partner. The atmosphere was very relaxed, we were not forced to take our table early and everything was very relaxed.The food was superb value and we all enjoyed what we had very much.I would highly recommend and we will visit again.

Very disappointed with the afternoon tea here today. Had the afternoon tea a couple of months ago and it was excellent. Booked again today for myself and 2 friends and very disappointed. Not only had it gone up by £1 per person but we also had a lot less just a few sandwiches and cakes. Also if you ask for anything other than tea or coffee you get charged extra. I had a Redbush tea as I don't drink Caffeine and got charge extra for it. They also buttered the scones this time without asking and as I don't eat butter couldn't eat. Very disappointed and yet again for the last 3 times in a row I have been overcharged. Luckily today and the first time I noticed straight away but the 2nd time didn't notice straight away and would have cost me more to go back to get refund. Please always check your bills before leaving.Needless to say won't be going back for afternoon tea!!

Recently visited for an evening function. Whilst the tables were presented beautifully that is where the positives end. The food arrived and it was the same quality as a school canteen. The soup out of a packet, the main course of beef dinner was thin canteen style poor quality beef, frozen roast potatoes and then what seemed like tinned vegetables. There was no extra gravy included and the only sauce was mustard. Members of staff quickly hurried out leaving nobody around to ask for any more sauces and not one member of staff asked anybody whether the food had been ok or whether there had been any problems. Then it came to dessert and it was complete chaos. Nobody had been given a choice so on asking apparently there were two choices- lemon roulade and apple pie. The staff then started bringing out bowls of each of the desserts and it appeared to be pot luck which you had. Obviously people started to protest as it would of been nice to have a choice, plus they had poured single cream over all of the desserts so there wasn't a choice of what you would like a accompany your cake and if you didn't like cream you were a little stuck. There appeared to be lots of lemon roulade left and by the time the waitresses got to my table they were just shouting 'lemon roulade' and then one waitress literally through a bowl of it down in front of my partner. Everyone was quite shocked as the way she through the bowl down was disgusting. She then returned with Apple tart and continued to shout at us and throw the desserts in front of us- at one point somebody made a comment that there was no need to be so miserable and what happened to good service. They then ran out of apple pie and so people were no longer given a selection and some were left with smart price vanilla ice cream and a cone in what looked like a children's dish. The dessert quality was the same as the other courses, cheap and poor, clearly out of a packet and the apple pie was over cooked and cold by the time it had been thrown on your table. I understand that this was a large function, but surely at £20 a head the food quality could of been better. My works canteen serves better meals than what I recieved here. As for the service, the waitress who had the terrible attitudes, got very patronising when people asked for a choice and then through the desserts on to the table really needs to be spoken to. Considering the surroundings are so beautiful the functions do not match this quality.

We are not golfers ourselves, but use the bar and restaurant frequently.The staff are friendly and welcoming, with the bar meals well cooked and very reasonably priced. They have a daily two course special lunch which is always good value. There has just been a refurbishment carried out, so the bar surroundings are beautiful. There are a number of function rooms available for large formal gatherings or small parties. The grounds are well manicured in a lovely setting, The whole atmosphere of Green Meadows exudes quality.

Today we had to travel 80 miles to attend a funeral at the Crematorium in Cwmbran, so we searched on google to see where we could eat lunch nearby before the funeral. We found that the Golfland Country Club was just next door. We thought that maybe as outsiders we might not receive much welcome, but how tong we were. As soon as we entered the bar area we had a lovely welcome and were offered a lovely table overlooking the greens. The staff were so friendly and the food was so lovely. Following the funeral we returned there for a pot of tea and were welcomed in the same manner. I highly commend this lovely venue. Thank you for making a sad occasion a more pleasant one for the three of us.

Have recently visited green meadow golf club as part of a birthday function. The food was pre-ordered but starters were still missing and incorrect. Main meal was shocking, particularly considering the money that is charged per set meal (although I did notice prices for food in the bar etc. we're significantly lower). Quality essentially cheap pub grub and cooked poorly. Service was also particularly disorganised. Very disappointed and will not be returning through choice.

Booked in for afternoon tea here after hearing lots about it. Don't understand how it has such a good name. The building is nice, and so is the conservatory room where you get your afternoon tea. Cakes on the stand were good, though there wasn't even enough for once each, which meant we had to ask for more. The sandwiches were ok but the bread was a tad on the stale side. The stand was filthy, it looked like it hadn't been cleaned after the last lot was delivered on it. The staff were ok, not very polite or friendly but not terrible. When we were looking to pay we had to wait ages for a member of staff to find someone to take payment, why she couldn't take for it is still a mystery to me. No serious problems here but definitely won't be returning.

After visiting Greenmeadow golf club a few times, I have left it until now to leave a review after several instances of going there and feeling unwelcome by the management. The staff here are absolutely fabulous and do their best to do all they can and this has been the case on several occasions. Whilst on the other hand the management or more senior members of staff seem to lack in customer service or just common courtesy.In previous months me and my guests have been asked to leave by a member of the golf reception for hanging around to have a chat for 15 minutes after a game of golf. To then attend a family function in January which was poorly run, food quality was poor and nothing was done about it, despite emailing my concerns and calling to speak to a manager several times.I would not recommend a visit here, they are no doubt judgemental and biased and seems as if they do not welcome non-members. Quick enough to take the money for golf but even quicker to ask us to leave if we had finished playing golf and we were not members. Whoever the lady is running the golf shop should maybe think about this and being so rude before doing it in future to others. Her attitude was VERY poor, maybe something she needs to look at.I will not be in any rush to return here in the future.

Six of us for sunday lunch yesterday and we were all very impressed. £13.95 each for three courses, tasty starters, superb mains with plenty of it and a good selection of deserts off the sweet trolley to finish, if you have room for it. Lovely lunch, friendly staff, nice location, well worth a visit...

Had a fabulous meal here for our works Christmas do, food was lovely, I had egg mayo, breaded plaice (was beautiful) and Christmas pud. Staff very attentive. Couldn't fault it x

booked a room for after funeral refreshments , nice environment with views over the golf course, staff could have been a little more friendly, when we asked for another jug of coffee the waitress informed us it would be an extra £12 as we had gone over our "1 cup a person" quota, we were quite surprised as we paid quite a lot for the catering, overall the food was of a good standard though.

Spent a weekend in Cwmbran to attend a funeral. Thursday 25/09 had dinner at the Green Meadow Country Club although the menu is limited it was fresh, plentiful food, well cooked, excellent service and the view from the dining area is glorious. We attended the after funeral buffet on Friday 26/09, plenty of good food, tea and coffee and of course Welsh Cakes!!On Sunday 28/09 we went back for the three course Sunday roast dinner, amazing value for £13.95, choice of starters, main meal was a choice of three meats or vegetarian options, so much meat and tasty fresh vegetables, dessert was chosen from the sweet trolley. All this in the vaulted conservatory dining room with tables decked in white linen whilst eating dinner overlooking the golf course and rolling hills in the background - what's not to enjoy!!!

What a lovely meals we had. It was extremely busy; the place to be on a Wednesday night. We had excellent service and meals, plus the wait wasn't long at all. The older lady behind the bar was extremely helpful and went and got the waiter he was prompt and extremely helpful. I have to say we never waited for anything, considering how much work the staff had to do. We'll worth a visit. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

My family and I have been visiting the club for a couple of years now for there bar meals and restaurant meals, both in the afternoons and evenings. The service is always very good and the food is always nice, fresh, hot and reasonably priced and a great location too.Well worth a visit...

Great service, top quality food as always. Staff are always warm and welcoming, we go to the gold club a few times a year for a family sunday roast, and they never disappoint. Lovely warm and comforting environment, well continue to go back time and time again.

Great place to check out at lunch time. The menu is varied and reasonably priced and the afternoon teas always look good. Try the dish of the day with desert - well recommended. Service time can be a bit slow but who wants to be rushed! Just a great place to chill with great views of the 18th green and the mountains beyond. We eat here quite often on Saturday lunchtimes - the BBQ chicken and cheese panini is a favourite with a bowl of curly fries.

Booked ahead in case it was busy for Father's Day, however when we arrive late in the afternoon it wasn't crowded and was very quiet and peaceful. Opted for two drinks as we looked over the choices for the Sunday Lunch - the three courses for £14.95 is great value considering the portion sizes and quality of the food. After having our orders taken we were shown to our table in one of the side rooms where only another large family were dining.Starters, the egg mayonnaise and leek and potato soup, arrived promptly and were delicious. It then wasn't too long before our mains arrived. The beef and chicken were both very tasty. Plenty of veg on the plate, peas, carrots, cabbage, roast and new potatoes, stuffing and a sausage wrapped in bacon with the chicken and Yorkshire pudding with the beef. Very filling but so delicious it's hard not to eat it all.Desserts were also very nice - the chocolate cheesecake and hot chocolate fudge cake are recommended. Service was pleasant and friendly and we didn't wait too long between courses to have plates cleared. The place was kept very clean and servers were always about if you needed anything.Views out on to the golf course are, as always, spectacular. It's hard to believe that this beautiful land is at the top of Cwmbran and near to Pontypool. Very lovely, peaceful and exclusive. Will be back as we liked the look of the A La Carte Menu and the 'Two Meals for £12' Menu.

Went out with friends last night, what a lovely venue, lovely setting with a lovely views through the windows, the atmosphere was really nice and calm. The food was superb and piping hot. The service was excellent, the waiter and waitress were really attentive and very helpful nothing was too much trouble, the restaurant was quite full we never really waited. Would definitely return and would recommend it to anyone. We visited on 06.06.2014.

Went here for a "Wedding Do". Brother paid for enough people to be fed however there was no where near enough food for everyone and wasn't being replaced quick enough.Wouldn't recommend for a big function. But nice setting and place.

Good value for money on the two for one deal and nice views over the Golf Course. Friendly and efficient staff.

I joined a party of friends for afternoon tea at The Meadows and we enjoyed ourselves very much. The sandwiches and cakes were delicious, and one friend mentioned several times how much she enjoyed the coffee. The tea was also good, and waiting staff were on hand to bring hot water, more milk and whatever else was required such as a high chair for the baby. We sat back and chatted and enjoyed the lovely view across the golf course with the mountain in the background. Although close to town the location feels secluded. My only criticism would be that the decor is a little dated, but okay if you don't mind chintzy/frilly. When we'd eaten our fill the staff brought plastic bags so we could take sandwiches and cakes home. There was certainly plenty of food available and I would recommend The Meadows as a great place for a special celebration. Restaurant meals are also available, and Greenmeadow Golf Club is also a popular venue for weddings.

Went to the golf club as part of a lunch group,The restaurant looked out on to the golf course which was a very nice view, the staff were very friendly and efficient. The menu was varied with something for everyone, They had a meal of the day which was main and sweet for 7.95 which was really good value, those who choose from the menu were also pleased with their meals which were also good value. Would certainly go back.
