We shared a delicious lunch yesterday of tasty quiche and 3 wonderful salads, the best we've tasted in a long while. Then we shared a generous slice of coffee and walnut cake, accompanied by roasted apple tea, all lovely. We came away happy and well cared for.

Terrible scones and ignored two emails of complaint. We ordered ahead for a cream tea for ten (take out scones) they were all dry and one burned. 40 pounds spent, an email of complaint sent, resent and ignored. We are local and there are better places on Arundel.

Piled into this Cafe. Lovely decor lovely ambiance. We ordered 2 oat flat whites and a cake and spoke to the owner who a) made his own cakes and b) said it was the busiest day ever. Arundel had a duck race, 3 live bands singing 40s music, country music and 50s music, vintage car show and an Artists Open houses Art Trail. Coffee excellent. Cake excellent our order came in a timely manner. It was 3pm. There were 2 or 3 tables free. The owner went home. The service went downhill. Firstly why is the owner going home on his busiest day ever? Second order of coffee took ages. Four staff remained. We eventually received our second cup of coffee (still delicious) but not after later customers got served before us. We then noticed (at 15:35) that a barrista was turning customers away. We asked where they due to close soon. She said no takeaway only because we have been sooooooooooooooooo busy. This is the same barrista who stood at the counter waiting for the orders. Instead of speeding them up by doing the tea orders so the other barrista coud focus on the coffee orders, she was looking at her phone. If one wants to know why we have low economic growth and productivity. Look no further than the humble cafe. An owner who is not committed even of his busiest day of the year (surely one would leave when the last customer leaves) and useless gen z staff who could not cope with a busy day. When I return to the Artists Open Houses in 2025 I doubt this cafe will have the same owner if it is Open at all.

I’ll start this by saying that the staff did try to make this right in the end. However, I stopped by to get some lunch with my partner. I ordered a tomato quiche and some salads on the side. The quiche arrived with white and green spots of mould 🤢. Additionally, the salads looked just thrown onto the plate and the portion was MEAGRE. The meal was about £17 so extremely overpriced for what you get. I notified them about the mould and they offered me a plate of salads instead which was fine. Except my partners food arrived and he got the charcuterie board. The pita was very hard and brittle, and the meats were all sweaty. We decided to leave as it just wasn’t what we wanted. Thankfully the staff apologized and they gave us our money back. The cafe itself is really cute and the salads on display looked delicious. It’s just the food hygiene needs improvement, along with portions of salad (or reduce the price), and general presentation of the food.

The staff are amazing, I needed lunch prepared for some friends who were joining me at home but I had no time to prepare so I asked if they would arrange the catering as for example supplying the food and they accommodated the needs for my vegan and vegetarian friends. The food tasted delicious and I would go back again.

What a find! Stopped off in Arundel to break up a journey and found this gem of a place! I was in food heaven. We enjoyed great quality coffee and the most delicious sausage roll and accompanying salads.

A lovely venue but despite asking for oat milk twice I was given dairy. Fortunately I noticed after a few sips, but as i have an allergy this could have been really severe. They did exchange for oat milk, but they did not apologise or appear to have any concerns around allergy safety. I did not feel like staff had the knowledge to make sure my lunch would be allergy safe, so left to eat elsewhere.

The Chef Dan kindly agreed to prepare a selection of salads for 10 people from the menu as a take-away, as catering for a family get-together nearby. He also made a fabulous cake. Great food loved by everyone and easy to arrange. Good value too.

Somewhat smaller than the photograph suggests. Probably a bit cramped when full. Four of us had breakfast which was excellent, freshly cooked where possible, finally found someone who can do a runny egg, all of us were impressed and said we would return. I had the American breakfast, jumbo sausage, fried egg, hash browns, bacon, pancakes and maple syrup, with a slice of toast and butter, excellent value at £6.50 plus two teas. I don’t mind the tea bag being left in so I can choose the strength but others might. One colleague had poached eggs on toast the other two a standard breakfast fry up which they said was good. The only problem is that are moving in a weeks time across the river to a busier area. If they continue the high standards there they should do well. Unfortunately as in their current location parking will still not be easy. The current place is very clean and nicely presented, the staff were friendly and helpful, we will definitely give the new location a try.

Lunch with friends in this charming cafe with a lovely menu. I had the moules frites which was amazing, my friends had the scampi and the vegan burger. Very generous portions and delicious food served in a trendy relaxed environment in a prime spot by the river. Staff were lovely, food was fresh and served quickly - would highly recommend 👍🏻.

Lauren the manager and great hostess made me feel so welcome and the atmosphere was so homely. Can’t be more thankful to Lauren. She serves the best Guinness in Arundel

I came here for the first time today and was amazed by the decor and thought the staff were lovely. We had a fabulous mocha, one of the best I have had for a long time. However, after deciding to come back later and get some cakes to take home I really liked the look of the pecan pie and although it was £5 a slice, I thought I would treat myself amongst buying some other cakes. The huge disappointment came when I got the cakes home and saw that the pecan pie slice had been cut into half the size that it was in the cafe - I wondered why the lady in the shop went out the back with the whole pie and now I realise why, so pretty deceptive, cos for £5 I only got a slither. This means that if you bought the whole pie you would need a mortgage! It’s such a shame because I probably won’t go back in there again as I feel I have been cheated.
