Great Central Cafe & Bar in Leicester

I use this cafe frequently at lunchtimes and for breakfast. Their English breakfasts are one of the best in the whole of Leicester, tastes fantastic and excellent portions! Just as good at lunchtimes with sandwiches and omelettes etc. Great value for money as well, would highly recommend!

Perfectly positioned and they have all the usual cafe style menu items. Quick service, reasonable prices, and decent food. I had a herbal tea and a chip cob. Hit the spot nicely!

This is my go to breakfast, brunch and lunch spot. It’s right next to Lane 7, Novotel and Highcross which is suitable for anyone who is in the city centre or even far. I enjoy the chilled atmosphere and attention to detail when it comes to individual orders. I highly recommend. :)

NEW OWNERS! Really friendly new family has taken over! The shop is clean and hygienic now. The new hours make much more sense if your looking to get a coffee before work as they're now open at 7am! Yay! Had lunch two days in a row now and can't wait to give breakfast a try tomorrow!

Sorry to say I am left unimpressed. Today I recieved two meals via deliveroo but sadly the meals wasn't great. The meals were tasteless, the sausages didn't taste like pork however I'm not implying that it wasn't, the miniscule amount of beans, tomatoes and especially mushrooms are hideous. I was really looking forward to receiving my meal and trying the great central but sadly due to my experience today I will put it on my avoid list, sorry Great Central just not a great experience 😞

They dont have much choice on the menu for a meal. Not many seats inside. The full English was okay. Staff are friendly.

This place isn't worth the money you pay at all. I paid almost £6 for a baguette extra bacon mushrooms and beans I got 3 peices of bacon a tiny tub of beans not even enough to fill half the baguette and 6 mushrooms, if that's extra then I dread to think what the standard is. Absolutely disgusting!!! Should be ashamed taking so much money and not providing what people pay for I wouldn't even rate 1 star but had to

Ordered food from here today from uber eats, the food was burnt!! Cold and couldnt eat it, was absolutely disgusting tbh.. will not be ordering from here again

Brilliant little Coffee Shop with a great selection of snacks. Not over priced. And always a warm welcome.

Lovely modern cafe coffee shop with a good selection of food, drinks and friendly staff. We had takeaway panini, nachos and a sausage cob. All were delicious and good quality. Wouldn't hesitate to pop back for food and and drink again. Its located in a newly pedestranised area opposite the renovated great central station an area well worth a visit now👍

A small coffee shop on the edge of the city centre always a big fan of independent shops . A decent coffee at a decent price . I've had a bacon cob from here before. Where they asked how I like my bacon cooked. Other cafes please take note

Below average. Food is kept warm in a bain Marie. I know it gets busy but I would always prefer to wait and get good quality food.

Great spot to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre. Great for a quiet area to work or catch up with friends over a coffee or a pint.
