After looking at the menu i plumped for the fully loaded burger which came with fries and a drink of your choice, at a cost of £12.50. I haven't been here before and was expecting something quite special for the price. OH how I was wrong , after waiting over 30minutes i was finally given my order which came in a nice ,what i can only call , a small shoe box. with great expectations I opened the box to find some over cooked fries ,a small pot of Mayo and a sad looking burger . The fully loaded burger came with house sauce ,lettuce ,tomato , 2 pieces of pickle a slice of cheese and thin squashed over cooked piece of meat which was dry and tough. I would have been better going to MCDONALDS AND GETTING 2 BIG MAC MEALS which would have been tastier and cheaper . I cant see myself stepping over the threshold at this place again....

Had to make it myself and came in a tinfoil box Had to pay an extra pound just to have it on sliced bread When asking for ketchup the waiter pointed at the table and told me to do it Fuming I am a victim of this rubbish

Had a lovely grilled sandwich here. They have a large menu to choose from. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food arrived quickly, no complaints at all.

Went for a hangover cure. Best decision ever made. Exquisite customer service and an iced coffee of dreams!! Will be revisiting every day from now on until my last day on earth. Ps don’t doubt yourself finishing the paralyser because each mouthful brings joy.

The food is really top notch and their fresh orange juice is amazing. Well priced too! Only gripe is the very slow service. Will be back!

Almost an hour wait for an average breakfast at best. Ordered at 10:40, food arrived at 11:35. We were told it’s been plated up which was about 15min. It’s very clear they prioritise online order over customer in the shop and is was not busy. Ordered the loaf of breakfast as it was their signature dish and quite disappointed with it, it’s very dry, would be better with more tomatoes/beans and cheese. Sausages were the cheap ones. £16 for 2 breakfasts with tea isn’t too bad, but coupled with the really long wait, we won’t be returning.

This place is by far the best about and I’ve tried most, breakfast, sandwich, pancakes and smoothies are all fantastic, breakfast loaf i would highly recommend. Staff are very nice and it’s comfortable, tables are not too close together nice seating areas, all round great experience.

Never in my life have I ever been spoken to in such a terrible manner. I had organised a charity netball tournament in aid of Cancer Research UK and had contacted several businesses within the local area for support with raffle prizes, all of which were more than happy to oblige and wished us luck with our event. However, when speaking to a male member of staff at Greasy Pig (who I can only assume was the manager), I had a much different experience. He was aggressively shouting down the phone calling me "disorganised" and couldn't believe I was at University because I had such terrible organisational skills. I politely responded to him, despite his terrible attitude however towards the end of the phone call I'd had enough and called him out on his rudeness only to be called a "stupid f*cking b*tch". Obviously I hung up. Two minutes later, I was then called back by this establishment so that he could finish his rant and continue to shout profanities down the phone. He then demanded that I apologise to him (??!!) and stated that I relied on people like him in the community. He also said that I needed to improve my "customer service skills" even though I was the customer in this instance, and remained calm and polite through the outrageous exchange. This man was rude, aggressive and pompous throughout the phone call and I am literally in shock that he is still employed. He gave the excuse that the cafe was "very busy" and that's why he had reacted in such a way. After reading many of the reviews on here, it seems this is an excuse they use a lot in order to dismiss their terrible customer service. Do yourself a favour and choose another cafe in the local area that provide lovely customer service and better food for a much better price. It's a shame you're not allowed to give 0 stars on here, because they definitely deserve it. What a lovely way to treat someone who has been a customer in the past and was just trying to do something nice for charity!!

This is a small quirky little diner style eatery. Situated in the heart of the university area of Leeds. We frequent this place maybe once every few months when we want to fill our stomachs with good hangover cure food! Everytime we come here the food is always cooked to perfection, staff are always friendly and helpful and the prices are always reasonable!! If your looking for tasty, filling, big portions at great prices - then this is the place for you!!

Having noticed some great reviews we decided to order breakfast after an evening away in Leeds. Ordering at 10:30 our delivery time was estimated at 30mins. Over an hour later we called to check on order, to be rudely spoken to by a member of staff saying, he’d not even started our order as he was busy. The order delivery time then kept creeping up, at 12:30 we had to cancel our ‘breakfast’ order due to a failure to deliver any food. Not only are we disappointed by the poor attitude on the phone. We were also kept on hold for 20 mins attempting to cancel the order. It’s fair to say on our next visit to Leeds the Greasy pig wont be an option for us.

Came here today after hearing about the Paralizer Breakfast! My husband ordered the Paralizer and I ordered the 1/2 Paralizer. The breakfast was cooked well, the waitresses Empress and Demi were lovely! On the whole I would definitely recommend this place for value for money and quality!

Visited here for the first time one Saturday morning for a late breakfast. It's very basic, prices are low and the focus is on fried breakfast options. Parking available on the street outside. We both had: bacon, sausage, egg and cheese muffins. They both came with a hash brown on the side and were actually really tasty. In total, because I upgraded my drink to green tea and purchased another two hash browns (50p each), it came to £11.00. Not bad for two breakfasts. We'll be back - great for a comforting, simple breakfast. Nice to see that quality products are used, too (Heinz, HP, Twinings, Teapigs), although the fruit juice available could have be improved instead of the carton, concentrated stuff.

Soy vegetariano, así que asumí que iba a ser sólo productos cárnicos grasientos jaja. Me siento aquí en mi resaca en un real aur de la comida en frente de mí. Cerdo grasiento eres el único niño.Además, traté de ofrecerle una propina a un repartidor y ni siquiera lo quería. Qué gran amigo, gordo, gordo, has enojado a una joven con resaca muy satisfecha. :)

Absolutely delicious food and the milkshakes are unbelievable also! Service was very fast and the staff are mannerly- priced very well for the standard and quality of the food! Worth a Visit!

Me duele escribir una crítica negativa para un restaurante independiente pero creo que también la tengo. Recientemente vino con amigos (también en UOL) después de una gran noche para el desayuno. Usted paga / ordena al ingresar (estilo mcDonalds), solicité uno o dos cambios a mi pedido y me dijeron que no podían - ¿qué es esto el Ritz? Pedí el medio paralizador con té. A pesar de que estábamos sentados en una mesa, el té por alguna razón vino en una taza de poliestireno. Las campanas de alarma ya estaban sonando en mi cabeza, que si no se les podía permitir lavar una taza, ¿cómo sería la comida? ! La comida vino. La salchicha parecía todavía un poco congelada y sabía a agua, los hongos estaban fríos, se intentó freír el huevo y por alguna razón, media lata de tomates picados estaba en el plato (quiero decir, qué tan difícil es cortarlo un tomate por la mitad?).

Ordered a delivery 10:30 sat morning, it came in about 20 mins needed it to help with a little bit of a hangover. Ordered the scrambled eggs on granary toast with extras: veggie sausage, grilled halloumi, smoked salmon and mushrooms.

We really enjoyed our breakfasts (2 x half 'Paralysers') and I also loved the fresh coffee. Clean surroundings, adequate basic seating / tables and cheerful decor. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. An interesting menu. We will come back again.

La mitad de la carne no ordenados para mí comida y esperamos 45 minutos para que llegara (nos dijeron que esperar sería el caso) cuando mi comida llegó finalmente el vegetariano salchichas frías como habían sido en la nevera. Mi amigo preguntó que llevarán luego cuando mi comida era regresar las salchichas estaban calientes en el exterior, pero todavía congeladas en el medio. Love this place after a night out! The food can take a while to arrive but is well worth the wait. Great value for money, too.

Visitamos este abrevadero antiguo por primera vez desde que el año pasado la universidad de izquierda y de nuevo, no me decepcionó. Después de una noche muy pesada con algunos amigos, nos encontramos para recargar las baterías y abundante comida comer algunas. Los dos de ellos ordenados el paralyzer y yo, el pan del desayuno. Ambos eran encantadores y abundante y preparado bien. Un amigo y yo también tenía la galleta de chocolate y crema que choco batido muy rico pero vale la pena!

Vine aquí un domingo por un día el desayuno, la comida era buena, no demasiado grasienta y me gustaría comer aquí de nuevo si la espera no fuera tan larga. Tomó 50 minutos para el desayuno, buen trabajo no venga a la hora del desayuno!

Este lugar sirve un buen desayuno mucho menos más grasienta que la habitual cuchara grasienta lo intentaría de nuevo saludos.

The food itself isn't bad (standard breakfast fare) but the restaurant is so incredibly slow. The nice woman on the till is very friendly but to wait 45 minutes for a sausage sandwich the size of a shot glass and two breakfasts that you could have made at home is really poor. It's good value only if you really love waiting.Students will keep going because it's open on a Sunday but there's a Co-Op round the corner which would honestly be like 10 times better.Overall: highly recommended for people who don't have a kitchen at home and love waiting. Would recommend a 200-page book to pass the time.

Went to the armley branch. Absolutely brilliant food had the half paralyser. nearly gave up struggled to finish it too full .Food lovely presented .place Fantastically clean and excellent service from the staff .Recommend it to anyone best cafe in armley.

Visiting my student daughter, used trip advisor to find this cafe & it's only a 10 minute walk from her flat.Great quirky little cafe with an unusual menu but very appealing.A very popular place that filled up when we were there.Next time we visit Leeds we will visit the Greasy Pig again.

Have now had the pleasure of visiting this establishment twice and have been genuinely delighted! The standard and quality of food has been extremely high, the menu varied and interesting and the quantity superb.The staff have been pleasantly relaxed and made my visit a delight ( almost too relaxed as i didn't realise that the soft drinks were self service and you have to approach the counter to order but hey that was my lack of understanding and hangover lack of attention) and were very attentive and prompt with the great food.I would think that all the customers - it was packed after Leeds Festival- had as good an experience as i had -they were certainly complementary in their conversation and i agreed with them!Carry on Greasy Pig - can't wait to come again!

This little gem of a breakfast bar is just down the road from my house, so i visit often. The food is so good, especially when hungover. Good size portions and the menu is huge so you have so much choice. The staff are lively as well sometimes if new the staff can be a bit slow as they do not really know what they are doing but I've never been in a rush so i don't mind. The food is a bit expensive for what it is, especially as it's in a student area. But it is yummy so on occasions i treat myself to a breakfast there!

I had heard about the Greasy Pig before yet never been, so decided to try it out this week. We all had pancakes with a selection of different toppings. The price was extremely reasonable and they were SO tasty. I also want to mention how lovely the service was, we were served by a young woman with some tattoos and piercings and I have to say she was so nice, extremely attentive and friendly. I loved the atmosphere here and will definitely be returning.

Been several times throughout my time at uni and it's never disappointed. Would recommend the pancakes, paralyser and milkshakes. If you're a student you need to go..simple as!

We had stayed over at Headingley Lodge after a night at the cricket as a treat, and needed somewhere to get a good breakfast. I'd heard of Greasy Pig so after a quick glance at the website menu we set off.The venue is a pretty good size for a cafe, not too cramped, and with a big wide ranging menu.The young lady on the till was friendly and helpful, as well as happy to accommodate the whims of a fussy, overtired 5 year old ginger child.Between he four of us we ordered a Loaf of Breakfast, a 5 stack of pancakes, a sausage muffin meal and some peanut butter and toast for the aforementioned fussy one. As well as 3 cans of pop and a latte. This cost just £17, a bargain given the portion size and quality.The food arrived and look spectacular, my Loaf was soft and buttery, the sausages plump and meaty, the hasbrowns full of flavour and the bacon was some of the best I've had at a cafe, crispy and tasty. My wife's pancakes were delicious, soft and moreish, served with butter and maple syrup. The sausage muffin was fantastic, abolish all thought of the famous fast food chain version, this was meaty, thick and juicy. the toast was thick cut, smothered in butter and came with a big tin of peanut butter.all in all a superb, inexpensive breakfast, we'll be back again for tea one day.

Every thing I've tried from the greasy pig has been really tasty. The chilli on the nachos is the best chilli I've had, you can tell its home made. It gets busy at the weekends but that's because it's so good! When I went on Saturday they had a muffin bar that had muffins ready so there was no wait at all. The sausage pattie muffins were as nice as always

So unkind! My coeliac friend was treated appallingly. They accepted no toast on her plate yet utterly refused to swap gluten filled sausages for anything else and offered no discount on the breakfast for the missing items. Never ever have me and my breakfast buddy experienced such an unkind, unhelpful establishment and we breakfast together a lot. Greedy grasping pig would be a more apt title for this highly unpleasant establishment. We cheered up a lot when we went across the road to the Victoria Corner Cafe to find friendly cheerful obliging staff and a very nice breakfast. Thanks Victoria Corner Cafe, we like you a lot but we won't be going back to the grasping pig any time soon.

As a student there is nothing better than a big greasy breakfast in the morning. A short walk from anywhere in Hyde park, greasy pig is the place to be. I have returned many a morning for a paralyser and if that did indeed paralyse me, I'd be happy. So much option and seeing fellow student hangover faces is a great treat over breakfast. Great hygiene and lovely service, you need get greasy at the greasy pig.

I visited on Saturday afternoon the food as usual was excellent. However the attitude of the girl behind the counter was appaling. After ordering and paying for another orange juice I waited for it to be delivered to my table I enquired where it was told they are in the fridge get it yourself. I will not be using Greasey Pig again.

After waking up feeling slightly fragile after a night in town. We decided to order some breakfast. Not knowing this was possibly the worst idea we could of ever thought of. After placing an order over the phone we were told to wait for a phone call to tell us to come and collect our meals. Over an hour... An hour.. We rang them back, to which they responded to come in 15 minutes. We walked down and found out, they had no sub rolls. They said they rang us... But with full phone signal we didn't receive any call. Therefore, our order has not been put through. After placing our order AGAIN. We waited the best part of an hour for our food. We collected it, without drinks. It took another 20 minutes to receive our coffees and by this time; our food was cold... We got no discount, the service was extremely poor along with the women making herself a coffee, before even acknowledging us to complain about not reviving our drinks. Once we got our order, it was wrong, no sauces along with being cold. To which I downloaded this application, made an account to specifically complain about how disgusting this experience was. TL;DR: Ordered a breakfast, took 3 hours, was cold, no discount along with bad service.

Always come here for a hungover Saturday brunch, sometimes have to wait for a table but the choice is worth it; still yet to find somewhere that is as extensive and as cheap; 20 pancakes for £14!

Came here recently with some friends after a heavy night out. The food was just what the doctor ordered as it sorted out our hangovers. They have lovely milkshakes as well. Will most likely return to try the pancakes amongst other things as it's just down the road. Only negative was the 30 minute wait for food to takeaway

Fabulous food! Very picky and very fussy where I normally eat. . This place is very clean, hygienic and quality ingredients are used. Won't eat a burger anywhere else now! Love the healthy options too - the egg white omelettes are delicious. The staff are always very professional and friendly. Good for takeaways when you're in a rush but the decor is so nice it's good to eat in too! Love the pink pig theme !!

We ordered breakfast over the phone at 12.30 for five of us which was a £36 order for Greasy Pig. They said it would be a 30 to 45min wait as they were busy which we totally understood. After an hour wait we called to enquire where our delivery was they said it would be 20mins. We were annoyed but again were understanding. Another half an hour went by without any sign so we called for the third time which they were really apologetic about and said it would be delivered in 5mins. Another half an hour passed and then they finally delivered. Refusal of discount for the TWO hour wait and no added extras.The picture is of my "loaf of breakfast"

Amazeballs food had nearly everthing on the menu friendly staff wicked buzzing atmosphere n music its a must go place all food freshly prepared well done greasy pig no place like it

Amazing Breakfast, surpassed all expectations.Food is cooked fresh so be prepared to wait 20+ mins but it's worth it, I promise you.Only slight niggle is that opening time is 9am, could do with being an hour or 2 earlier.

I visited Greasy Pig twice this week for lunch whilst working in the local area for business.The menu is absolutely vast and I found myself spending ages deciding which food to order as everything looks so good! Whether you want a snack, a hearty lunch or a dessert, you are spoilt for choice.The food is incredible. It was served quickly and the portions are very generous. Even the seasoned chips (which cost £1) were so fresh and tasty. Expect to pay between £4-8 for a meal including a drink but it is worth every penny!I am genuinely disappointed this restaurant does not exist back home in London and I will definitely be visiting again next time I am in the area!

My boyfriend and I used to be Nimkat goers but on his birthday it was closed so we tried out Greasy Pig having heard great things, however had not been as the name put us off a little. We were not disappointed! We were kind of expecting a little old café, but we were wrong. The food is delicious, the decor is lovely and the people were really nice. Since then went back once more just us and then took my sisters when they came to visit from London. A really yummy place with a lot of variety! It can be a bit of a wait for food if it's busy but the people are really nice and we have really enjoyed it every time we go!Planning on coming again today, and looking forward to it! :)

The menu has a great selection with many things to choose from and the staff are really friendly. The food was average and a bit on the greasy side (reflects the name!).

Came for brunch with friend and was surprised by the extensive menu. Foods were good and the portion is big. Would definitely come back again. Btw, the milkshake was really good, the sweetness was just right.

I visited the greasy pig for brunch a couple of weeks ago. I had the half paralyzer and my boyfriend had a breakfast bap with chips. The food was pretty good, but we ordered milkshakes which took a while to arrive. However, the girl serving was rushed off her feet and we did tip as she was doing her best to keep everyone happy. There wasn't any atmosphere - but we didn't expect much from a cafe. After hearing such great things about the Greasy Pig, I would say it is slightly overrated but I would probably visit again. I think this place is best for students with a hangover!

reading the last review sounds absolutely ridiculous its a great place with really nice food and a good atmosphere. I was in there this morning and girl serving me was nice and gave me a free mince pie on the way out. I'd recommend to any students in Hyde park

We arrived just after 11. The restaurant was quite busy, however waiting over an hour for pancakes and a full English breakfast was ridiculous. One set of pancakes came first and then the full English 5 minutes later. Both meals were consumed well before the other 2 sets of pancakes were served. When the pancakes finally arrived they were uncooked. We told the waitress politely and she took them back to the kitchen to be cooked again. Once the pancakes came back, one set was cooked and the other was still under cooked. We complained to the waitress who told us 'they are meant to be like that'. I asked for something else off the menu, but the waitress insisted that I was wrong and the pancakes were fine. When I insisted that they were still wet in the middle, the waitress stormed back to the counter shouting they were fine infront if the whole restaurant. Shouting then continued between the staff in the kitchen. Not very professional attitude even for a diner. I did receive 1/2 my money back for a meal that I didn't eat. I would not recommend this place to anyone and would definitely not go back.

Fantastic food standard ! Best BURGERS in Leeds by far truly got to try it to believe it! The chef is very passionate about food. He puts all of his heart and soul in the food. I have tried everything on the menu it all tastes amazing. You get quality and quantity in everything you order.

Thanks to TripAdvisor for pointing out this delightful caff. I have recently retired from a job in Victoria Road and must have passed it many times. The name may have put me off - how wrong that was! I was looking for a light lunch and had only a £5 in my wallet. I need not have worried. Out of the vast number of tempting options on the wall I chose a dish which sounded more upmarket - the Posh Tart for only £4.99. Excellent bagel, three scrambled eggs, smoked salmon with a hash brown on the side. I felt I was in the Big Apple again, it was so good. It was quiet, so service was friendly and prompt, but this is in a whole different league from "fast food" so it would be worth waiting for.Another reviewer made it sounded as though it was just a student dive, but I recommend it to any of us who now have more time on our hands and less cash in our wallets!

Service is brilliant, only slight downside is that the waiting time can be quite long especially in busy periods but this is made up for by the high standard of the food ! The milkshakes are amazing

If you don't try anything else, (the yummy pancakes n fruit .... the sausage muffins etc) you must try this yummy scummy sticky toffee pudding unlike any I've tasted before.Mmmmm its soft spongy cake and thick toffee sauce, tasting a bit like bonfire toffee with ice cream. OMG. I've had it 3 times this week.

Hangover must ..... Breakfasts are deliciously tasty staff are chatty helpful and easy going. The chef was great in changing my beans for extra mushrooms and happy to cook my bacon crispy. It's a must visit for the students of Leeds. I just wish they delivered !!!

The food there is delicious. I live about 5 minutes away so will always pop down for some comfort food, whether hungover or not it never disappoints. If there was one small criticism it would be the customer service. The students who work there often look dead behind the eyes after what appears to be years of drug abuse. This can cause mistakes with orders, whilst beware if ordering a milkshake expect to have it as desert as it will often be so slow it comes after the food. In a way however this element adds to its charm as though brain cells of the staff may have died off long ago as the 10 joints a day take their toll, it doesn't stop them being friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend, i've taken my girlfriend, Dad, Sisters and all of them love it. Personal fave has got to be the falafel burger, though im not a vegetarian it is still delicious.

We have been here many times and have tried lots of dishes, all of which were excellent. There is a 'paralyser challenge' of enourmous proportions which my bf managed! The food portions are large, varied and tasty with juicy burgers to breakfast muffins that excel, veggie options and other healthy dishes plus Tea Pigs Tea served in a piggy teapot n other drinks. The atmosphere in here is always great and often due to its other customers who are always sociable and entertaining, as well as its lovely staff all of whom were cheerful with us. Perhaps other reviews may have caught someone on a rare off day? We find everyone, even the chefs really friendly.The prices are not reflected in the large portions of belly busting yummy things to eat and are very fair I think. The place itself is great inside with the decoration in one of my fave colours plus I like pigs and want one of their tea pots!its always clean with good music. I'd recommend The Greasy Pig to anyone as a definate must try. It far exceeds any other 'cafe' in the area. They even do deliveries if you don't want to go out. Bonus.

I got to greasy pig all the time... Great breakfasts and delicious burgers! I haven't mustered up the courage to try any of the food challenges yet but they do look like fun! Highly recommend the cluckin great chicken burger

My first visit as was working in the area. First impression good. Excellent menu displayed on boards with lots of choice including healthier options. My food was delicious . Good service from lady behind the counter but the other fella who initially served me was quite sullen & was like that with others who came in - he needs to cheer up as he's putting a dampener on what is a nice little cafe
