Went in for a panini and lady was making it on dirty worktop, she put the panini on the worktop not a plate. She was not friendly at all. Once I received the panini was so shocked it was not made properly! Cheese was not melted with ham properly made me so sick. Was in a rush to grab lunch and regret paying £4 for a disgusting sandwich and poor customer service, lady was miserable too.

We become regular visitors to granny's after working in the local area. A decent feed but nothing groundbreaking, banging coffee though. Priced slightly high considering the service. Worth a visit to bump into other trades and do some networking. No sign of granny anywhere though.

Had the best sausage sandwich with egg and brown sauce on a crusty white bread! To die for!

I've stopped off for breakfast and a coffee from here a few times now and it's great, never been disappointed. Plenty of options and happy to take special orders. And they don't just do breakfasts and sandwiches. Try the burgers and burger fries as well. Proper good burgers!

It's ok they are not doing massage on chest & stumuck & only half leg doing

Over priced and a bit of a con. Ordered a best at £3.75 asked for it to be a double decker I.e 1 extra slice of bread in the middle to make it a bit more stable. Charged me a £1 FOR THE EXTRA SLICE!!!

Best placed for a proper home cooked breakfast! Always pass by when I don't feel like cooking breakfast (and sometimes even if i don't mind) because it is by far the best breakfast and tastes just like home - if not better!

Always loved this place, hands down the best breakfast around. Bumped into the owner (I think) today and they're obviously using the closed period to renovate and modernize. He said he's looking forward to opening again with a select menu that sounded really promising, so I can't wait for that. Would absolutely recommend.

Never go anywhere when you are starving... Actually you should do. Really enjoyed the food here. Quick service in a small but very tidy place. Nice art work on the walls. It was nice to see people of all ages coming in to have a tea and a sandwich. Prices were very good, service by staff excellent. Oh yes.. my sandwich was very filling.

Great breakfast...friendly service and fast

Came here on a Saturday morning with my 6 year old and we had a breakfast. Everything tasted lovely and staff were friendly. No complaints from my daughter which is what it's all about!

The perfect answer to that breakfast craving - Had breakfast several times here and always perfect. Freshly made and tasted amazing both the full breakfasts and the sandwiches also great with one of their coffees. Would highly recommend for those breakfast cravings!!

The best toasted bacon sandwich and cappuccino all freshly made without much of a wait. Nice clean premises well decorated with plenty of stuff to read whilst you are waiting for your food.

My son and I had a lovely lunch today. Hot chocolate nice but severed with milk foam not cream. My son loved his fish finger sandwich. My full English was yummy. Lovely lady taking orders.

Had a pork sandwich - the pork was tough and gristly. Need to provide better quality of bread and meat.

Visited Grannys pantry at the start of the month. One of the best full English breakfasts I have ever had....Top quality food and service to match. Highly recommend a visit!

A menudo acercarse Grannys durante el fin de semana cuando estoy menos de sensación para cocinar mi propio desayuno. Siempre me hacen un completo inglés (o tocino y sándwich de tomate si im prisa) por un buen precio! Excelente comida, excelente servicio, gran personal! Y un gran café fresco para terminar!

I have been here a few time regrettably, as it's the only one around you forget and go in and waste your money. Cheap food expensive prices. Sausages & bacon are ALWAYS uncooked plus there cheap vile ones, sauces are cheap and don't even taste like tomato or brown, mushrooms undercooked aswell basically still raw there baguettes are French sticks (like you don't know the difference) I really don't know how this cafe even can open. The old lady is snobby and rude & the young cook looks like a ball of Grease. This establishment is nothing but an overcharged way of getting food poising would never recommend and I really don't know how they get customers.

My friend and I often pass this cafe in Clarence Road and decided to give it a try. We sat inside and I went up to the counter to order 2 coffees (1 black and 1 white). The lady serving was having a conversation with someone and ignored me for a while and then took my order. I sat down and waited and waited and eventually 2 white coffees arrived not what we had ordered!! How can you get such a simple order wrong??? The coffee was OK but much too expensive for a cafe of this type. Sorry but definitely won't be returning!

Popped in here whilst In the area - just really for a coffee - but after browsing through the menu , although I had had breakfast and it was not 11 ish we decided to have an egg and bacon sandwich. Very tasty. Although it is a small shop type restaurant the food and especially the full breakfasts looked good. Sat and read the newspaper over the coffee. Not at all rushed and a good little restaurant to meet friends.

I've only been here a couple of times, and it's never open when I walk past, but when it is, although the service is very slow, the food is always good. Not much dining space, but if they had a little renovation, it could be really popular.

I saw this place whilst out for a walk and so we headed here for breakfast. There weren't any other customers when we arrived and it was so pleasant to be welcomed in such a friendly manner by the proprietor and the staff member. Ironically we sat at a table to discover it hadn't been cleaned and when I ordered my breakfast with brown bread they got the order wrong and served it with white! Considering we were the only customers it seemed a bit sad that the order was incorrect. When it eventually came my bread was only toasted on one side. The place is under new management and I assume they are having teething troubles. On the upside, the prices are incredibly low as the menu is more styled on a "greasy spoon" cafe model than the bistro style I had expected. The service was responsive, inasmuch as they are happy to adapt the menu and quick to sort problems. Most importantly the cheerful manner of the staff is really welcoming. I will return to give them another chance, at which time I hope that I can rate them more highly.

Just called in whilst taking the dog for a walk. Great fry up, washed down with a mug of tea! Staff very friendly and good service! They even treated to dog to a fresh bowl of water whilst she sat outside! Good atmosphere but it's a great cafe not a place for your wedding Aniv, good value! Loved it!

They are a good breakfast stop there food is of the best quality worth going to even if you just want a cup of tea or coffee

Popped into this place and noticed it had been a year since my last visit ( and last review) so thought it would be fair to write that this time around there was no wait and everything seemed nice and fresh with friendly service. See you in 12 months time!

Whilst working in the area we regularly ordered sandwiches from this place. It was getting to the stage where we had to order the food 45 minutes before we picked it up because they really do take so long to make the sandwiches. I'm not one for writing bad reviews as I don't want to hurt businesses but after 7 separate occasions waiting for what seemed like an eternity I just had to write a review. Perhaps next time it will be fine so I can write you a nice review. What a shame.
