Pete's Pan in Birmingham

Regularly, this happens that the courier can’t find me. I am disabled but I have to open the front door as they have no clue of where I actually live. It’s quite simple but I don’t want to go through that again. Food is four star.

Chips were lovely but the kebab was awful. Swimming in grease not a very nice taste at all

Amazing food could have feed three people

Made to feel very uncomfortable in here. The staff were well aware of me waiting to take my order and even acknowledged me be by saying they will take my order after they have sorted ongoing order. They then proceeded to continue to serve everyone around me whilst looking at me. I can only put this down to the current state of racial poltical tensions. Sad really as the older gentleman who I had previously interfaced with was very friendly. I shall not be returning.

Just had fish and chips, the batter was soggy with no crisp and the fish dry and flavourless, . Straight in the bin

Very tasty good size piece of cod home made chilli sauce was nice but I like it with more of a kick but al round it was really good

Customer service needs improvement!! They called me randomly, I called back expressing that I’ve had a missed call from their number and the lady who picked up was very impolite! I don’t appreciate spam/prank calls when I’m at work!!! Do better!

Call in today Ordered large fish and chips. the chips were so so and the fish was really dry all round the edges and not very nice. if it wasn’t so far for me I would have taken it back very very disappointed. Won’t be using Pete Pan again it used to be really good but not now ☹️

Food wasn’t the best. Curry sauce is extremely watery and the batter on the fish and the fish itself was hard. Chips on the other hand were nice but very disappointed.

This is the best chippy. The food is really fresh every time and brilliant quality and the staff are really polite and very helpful will definitely recommend every time

The prices are are absolute joke 15.80 for 2 kebab burger meals that is a rip off and the chips wasn’t that nice at all. That sort of price you would find in London not Birmingham and when seen some of the prices of some other stuff just a joke won’t be using there again

For two burger meals to cost over £15.00 I am disgusted. If the food was upto standard I would understand but it’s not. Chips dry and inedible and the meat was only just edible. They need to lower their prices on everything before I think about going here again. What a let down

Started coming here recently and won’t go anywhere else now. Very tasty fish n chips, proper mushy peas and tartar sauce.

Hadn't been for a few years, but it used to be lovely. So popped today and ordered 2 mini Fish, Chips and Curry sauce. Got home and the chips were dry and old, no salt and vinegar and curry sauce, Fish was edible, but was dry on edges. Will not be going back there again.

Very disappointed with the quality of the 3 meals purchased, the food cost me £19.60 and they've ended up the bin. The quality and standards have slipped. Won't return. Chips extremely dry and in edible, no amount of salt, vinegar or cold curry sauce would save this.

Was so disappointed, my plaice did not taste right in fact the tail part was cold & hard which made me wonder if it had been frozen, the chips were inedible, dry & just about warm, it cost me £20 just for me & I wished I had saved my hard earned money

I ordered a chicken meat and salad but it came mixed meat and I don't eat donner!! When I rang they told me they could could.do me another but I would have to collect which takes away the point of paying delivery. Husbands donner burger was all thick end cuts of meat not happy at all

Fish was full of batter and not any fish inside it gna stick to dads lane even its further away

Driver was in a different road at our number I had to phone him to find us but he did in the end thank goodness the other house never took our order

Food quality doesn't match the prices

Hadn’t been here for a whilst but was passing and thought let’s try it as was always good, unfortunately this time apart from the battered sausage all had a funny taste to it and chips were old, wouldn’t normally review but quite expensive too, disappointed for the money, went in the bin.

3 scollop burgers with salad and 2 cones of chips was £17.30. A scollop burger without salad is £1.70, so I was charged an EXTRA £2.60 per burger (!) for a couple of slices of cucumber, tomato and a bit of lettuce. I queried the price at the time and they said it was right, that's how they charge. TripAdvisor reviews also say it's expensive, they're right! Left a bad taste to be honest. Won't be back.

Overall a very good experience. Service was efficient and friendly. Food was good quality, fish well cooked with a nice crispy batter. Chips were good and the portion sizes were generous. Dinner for 4 adults and 3 kids was less than £35 which I think is good value for money and everyone had plenty to eat. Pete’s Pan a great plaice to come for fish and chips.

We have used Pete's for years and before when his dad had ravens hill chippy. Still a great chippy.

Visited tonight £12 for fish and chips..£6 for mini...The mini was tiny and wouldnt even fill my kids!! Nice food tiny portions at a rip off price..NEVER AGAIN!!

Really Great Fish and Chip Shop. Rightly so one of the best in terms of food, choice and service! Excellent VEG options too. Also girl in the cap who's name I didn't catch is always amazing and polite and really cares for her service and delivery. Highly recommend this place!

Passed by here so stopped to get some food. Staff were all pleasant and friendly. Chicken kebab meat and chips was nice. hot and tasty. slightly oily but that's most kebabs. The fried chicken was nice and tasty too. Had a good crisp coating.

My oh my, what a delightful surprise. My partner and I were famished after the boring life duty of Christmas shopping. He googled for the best chippy around, and this gem popped up! We both had a mini, mini fish and chips. It was utterly delicious and the mushy peas were mega tasty. The fish was delicious and the chips were incredible...I will being visiting in the future. Thank you 👍 Also the fellas had ace customer service. Nice feel to the place

Go when it's busy otherwise the pre cut kebab meat can be put on the griddle and it's yuk!

This was the best chip shop in the area - but the last few times, the fish has been overcooked and dry. The most recent time, the staff, though friendly, were busy talking to each other and customers, presumably leaving the fish in for too long. Amount of chips also seem to be incredibly variable - I wouldn't bother with any size but the smallest! The largest portion seems to be barely any bigger!

9th August. First time here for a long time we had large fish n chips, we was sharing so we wanted a big portion, a nice young lady asked if I wanted cod and yes I did the fish was smaller than I thought it would be but it was cooked while I waited and it was cooked to perfection, the chips were good with no bits mixed in again they were cooked just right. The portion was was smaller than I expected for the price, however there was enough to share. It was very tasty and cannot fault if it was a slightly larger portion it would have got the full 5 stars but after saying that we were both full when the last chip was eaten it was the best fish n chips we had for a long time. Well done and thank you!....a few days later 12th August I went back and ordered a completely different dish there is no need to tell you what it was but I have changed my rating to 5* and yes this fish n chip shop will take some beating! I am so lucky to have this shop near to where I live....well done Pete's Pan...

Mini fish and chips portion size was just enough for kid’s portion Amount of chips for the price was ridiculous Potatoes are cheap ! went by recommendation Wouldn’t go again stick to my usual chippy May Lane !! Staff are rude and unhelpful too !

Ive been regular since grand opening and i can only say after having my regular order of fish and chips with the family tonight. There was 3 different looking fish ramped in a bag. It was over cooked and dry. Just nasty!!! food has gone down drastically.

Everything nicely done here. All very spick and span. -2 for use of veg oil rather than dripping. Chips to my mind need dripping to give of their best. In veg oil, chips can only be alright.

Went to Pete's Pan earlier today because I've heard good things about this chip shop. I ordered 3 meat spring rolls and 2 pieces of tinned roe. The roe was nice but the spring rolls we're Vegetable there was no meat in them and they we're over cooked.

Don't normally leave reviews but in this case I felt I had to, been to Pete's pan for the first time this evening, after living in the area for many years, and I wasn't disappointed. £5.80 for a mini fish and chips and a can of full fat coke, a little on the expensive side, but worth every last penny. Truly delicious, my wife didn't have any think, but when I got home I could she her eyeing them up, green with envy she was.

Wouldn't go anywhere else for my chips... Delicious

We've started using Pete's Pan as our local chippys gone downhill but we can't be happier. We been a few times and the staff are friendly and food is excellent.
