Come into the restaurant and was met by a lovely man called Marcus he's was very welcoming and helpful great customer service and easy to talk too it's was nice to be greeted and made to feel welcome when I am not from.around the area 10/10

The crane is my local and I think the staff are amazing. Shannon and ang are lovely on the bar and the floor staff izzy and Jake are great. They all go above and beyond for you. Place is great for food and chef are friendly aswell.

I visited The Crane and had a very enjoyable experience. Although it was a very busy Wednesday the servers Macie and Tink were very welcoming and apologetic for wait time even though it wasn’t anybodies fault. The food was very enjoyable and I will 100%...

Visited today 4/4/24 could not fault, food was superb, staff were friendly and helpful. Big thank you to Lewis, Maddie, Jo, Alicia and not forgetting chefs Tina and Ciaran. Will definitely return.

Came for bank holiday friday was a great night thank you jo

No social distancing. Staff not enforcing one way dordction when customers were not adhering to it. Ordered food and it came put within 5 minutes. For 2 meat dishes there was concerns it may not have been cooked properly but the meat was fine. Chips were just like fries you get from a market stall. Overall dispointing but for half price it was food. Update: April 2024. Much better food and service. Now changed to Hungry Horse family. Definitely going back again, great local pub!!

2020 - It’s a nice pub, the staff are nice, the food is hit and miss hence the missing star but the kids bit outside is a plus. 2024- The management has changed since my last review and they seem to think serving freezing cold food is acceptable because the only hire one person in the kitchen on a week day afternoon. Maybe if you managed better you wouldn’t have this problem and i don’t understand how the management explain their mess up by adding more fault and admitting they are cutting cost and not hiring enough staff. The manager was also nowhere to be seen until i had to raise my voice and was letting on young girl run the bar and serve the food. We had to wait 7 mins at the bar just to order the food that came cold because the girl was serving food. The manager? Just chilling out back. Her name is Joe and her attitude to running a pub successfully is just embarrassing for the pub and green king as a company. I used to manage a green king pub myself back in 2009 so I know this is not how they expect their staff to be.

We love this place the staff are very accommodating and friendly, never had an issue other than the last time we went, my wife ordered a rump steak well done and it turned up medium rare, after informing the gentleman at the bar he appoligised...

Went there today and had the Steak and Ruddles Ale pie and mash. Gorgeous. You can easily taste and smell the Ruddles. Gravey nice and thick. Even the San Miguel tasted fine. Service was lovely and quick. Very busy but the place is huge so you're not cramped. Even had a little TV at our table fitted into the partition wall so watched the Wales/Irish game.

Truely the best steak and ale pie 🥧 I've had for a long time. Great staff, really friendly and helpful. Recommend it to everyone!

I had the best mighty mixed grill from here I think I have ever had. I absolutely loved it. £13 for a mixed grill is excellent based on some pubs these days. This is a green king chain. I will definitely be coming back with my wife for some food and drinks and maybe the kids. Well done to all the staff they were very happy,polite and helpful.

Myself, my mom and dad and friends visited today. Asked for a table of 5, to be told no problem. Acting manager Katie, polite friendly and welcoming. We all had food which was delivered quick delicious tasty and hot. Thank you to the chef for 5 cracking meals. Staff service with a smile, good beer. We will be back 😎

I was served by Katie at the bar and Destiny at my table today and wow! The service was amazing, I was eating alone and felt so comfortable! Katie was serving multiple customers on her own and still managed to do that at her best ability, I only required a tap water and she even managed to make that amazing by providing ice and fruit slices! Destiny was also so lovely, spoke so politely and made sure I received the best service! I live round the corner and definitely feel like I can visit the crane alone more often, thank you ladies for making my visit memorable :)

First of all, when i stepped in here i was greeted with great customer service from Kaytie, eager to help and works with a smile, who was always on hand to help whenever needed. The food was top notch, i believe it was the chef called James who cooked my food and it was wonderful, and you could tell it was genuinely made with love. Also, Alica is great on the bar very friendly and helpful. It all adds to the great atmosphere. Its not my first rodeo here, yet i get pleasantly suprised every single time. I swear by this pub. These staff are a credit to this place.

Came in for dinner, Michaela was so helpful with recommendations on the menu as I’m vegetarian. Service was quick and food was good.
