This has become my favourite pub over the years. Staff are all so helpful and try to make everybody happy, especially Jo, Chloe and Katie. Quiz host Bex makes every Sunday fun too!

I come into the Crane having admittedly never heard of it, but what a little gem it is. First off Shannon on the bar was lovely, attentive, and went the extra mile to make my experience better. The food was delightful, well needed after a long day, these Katsu Banquets are TO DIE FOR. I highly recommend this place!!!

Come here regularly staff are friendly and helpful. A good selection of drinks and food is always nice and some excellent deals on the food. Family friendly and love the entertainment here too.

I've been going into The Crane for around 3 years now, and it is my 'go to' pub in the area. A friendly atmosphere, staff are friendly and welcoming. Since I have been visiting The Crane, I have seen some positive improvements with the interior and exterior since I first visited. There is always plenty of entertainment from quiz nights, karaoke, singers, and even during the daytime to keep children entertained with magic shows and animal experiences. Food is good and priced well with offers on throughout the week.

I have been coming to the crane for many years as I live local. The food is cooked to a good quality, and priced reasonably. The staff are very friendly, welcoming and always seem happy to help you. My 5 year old son loves it here, the garden, the toy machine and the staff he interacts with. Good all round day/night local pub. Can't fault the staff one bit.

Came today for some drinks with mates, for the New Years. Food here is lovely and the bar staff go above and beyond for you especially Shannon and Sarah. Couldn't recommend this place more, great atmosphere, great place and amazing service!

We came here with friends for dinner a very nice meal as all ways our friends had never been there before but we go there quite regularly we enjoyed the food and the staff are always friendly and place always welcome

Great atmosphere and service in the bar area and great food in restaurant area. I had a lovely falafel wrap and salt a pepper fries which came in less than 10 minutes. Would recommend.

First time having Christmas Dinner here (2024) and everything was perfect. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was lovely

Complete joke went the bar 3 times waited over 10 mins and only serving one person still never got served the Christmas dinner was pants only nice thing was the Yorkshire pudding wast of money 50 per head absolutely a joke

we went today for a Christmas dinner menu.i use this pub regularly but I don't what happened today we waiting ages for food.it took 2.5hrs for 3 courses.the tables were left uncleared for most of the time and It wasn't very busy in there either.

What an absolute dump I had to leave 1 star to leave a review otherwise it would be Zero If you like kids playing football inside and running around like lunatics uncontrollably because the parents don’t give a flying **** then this is the place for you Good luck 👎

Shocked to be told today that if I wanted a Christmas dinner that I have to order it. As It’s not cooked on site and only warmed up. I wouldn’t want to come into a place to eat knowing the food I’m eating isn’t fresh and cooked off site. I’m better off buying a frozen meal and cooking that. As there’s no difference is there.

Came in for a few drinks and dinner with my wife, food was good but service was exceptional, shout out to Michaela she was super friendly and gave us good recommendations on the food. Best service had in a long time. Thanks! Will be back

Cheap and good restaurant, quiz evening on Sunday, parking right in front of the door

Excellent visit yet again. Fabulous FREE half term events for the little ones on offer everyday. We enjoyed lunch there and was over the moon to receive a great discount at the till, with Feed the family for £15. Always amazing food and service at The Crane.

This place is a great restaurant to eat at, weather that is with family or friends. The food is professionally cooked and i’ve never had a problem with it and the workers have great customer service. Overall I highly recommend this restaurant to anybody near the area.

Great pub, excellent food.. the staff are always friendly and very accommodating. There are always deals on through the week so not expensive, has 2 areas so a bar for the lads and a nice family area for eating.

Came with the family for the Sunday roast and it didn’t disappoint. Our waitress Katie was very helpful and made the experience more enjoyable with the attention to our needs especially with the younger children. Thank you Kaytie

Came here for food and drinks with friends. The waitress who tended to us, kaytie was so helpful and extremely polite. Been here a few times and will definitely come back again.

Good pub friendly staff good atmosphere

Had the sizzling steak, quite tasteless sadly. Not seasoned and the onions and peppers were overcooked. Corn on the cob was cool, butter wouldn't melt and it was soft. Coleslaw was decent.

Came in yesterday, lovely atmosphere, Sarah was lively on the bar and Kyle was very welcoming and is lovely to talk to. Will definitely be coming back again soon

I visited the crane on Wednesday the 9th and it was really pleasant. Food was lovely and service from Madison and Macie was great

Our visit was on a Friday, around 7.00pm, so it was very busy, but the food was worth the small wait, as it was very tasty. Great place for offers on food and drinks.

I have been drinking in the crane since I was 17, seen all types of managers come and go and I can honestly say jo and her team are truly the best by far. Jo’s team are a credit to her. Each and everyone are always happy smiling and do all they can to keep the customers happy. Special mention to Katie, always goes out of her way to make sure we have our drinks, water with ice cubes for the dog and cuddles for our daughter. Overall fantastic pub, great food, and the best pub manager I know. Great job everyone. Best pub in Sheldon by far 👍

I went today, with a group of adults with learning disabilities, I support in my job role, the quality of food, the service and speed, and the attention we received from the staff was excellent, I would also like to thank Megan, who I felt went above and beyond, as I had to get separate receipts, and she took the time to itemise each receipt, without any problem, I would definitely bring a group here again, many thanks

Family friendly, nearly always consistent with food. Only ever had one problem with a meal, and it was put right.

Food was hot and even though 1 order was wrong they put in right, apologized and admitted it was there error which was nice. Table wasn't reserved but they was plenty of room. Nice pub

I absolutely 💯 always love the crane use it all the time on Wednesday the 17th july Megan was amazing phoning me to help to arrange a party of 60 Everyone had a fantastic time Jo was also amazing to sort out any issues with food They were all rushed off there feet with our party but they all made us proud So thank for such a lovely day

We had a lovely meal and drinks at the crane. All the staff were pleasant and helpful. Sarah went above and beyond and made our visit thoroughly enjoyable.

Megan was our server and we had the best experience, she was so polite and helpful.

We booked a last minute table here travelling between Alton towers and London Sat 13th July at 8pm. The food came out in bits and bobs and one of the items was chicken bites with katsu chicken sauce and they were chicken nuggets! The chicken cheese panini steak thing came out with no sauce etc added and we had to ask. The steak was meant to be med/rare it was cremated. The staff were VERY polite and good on the service side 100%!!. They sat us 8 (4adults/4children) in a section labelled adults only and we were sat next to a rowdy group who were loud. There was a quieter area so why they didn’t sit us in the family area I don’t know. The service side saved the place from a 1 star and the food wasn’t terrible but no the hungry horse standard we have had previous

Visited on a Thurs lunch time venue was nice and quiet. Three of us ordered meals very poor quality not very hot. 1 wrong item brought for dessert. Very shocked as based visit on many positive reviews read prior. Unfortunately won't be visiting again. Thank you

Me and my 2 friends went last night for my birthday and for the England match. I thought the atmosphere was amazing in there and despite it being really busy I felt the staff was amazing and did brilliantly with how busy it was. I had a great birthday and highly recommend the crane for food and the service. Thanks for an amazing night the crane staff!

Lovely family meal for Father's Day, seating 11ppl. The servers were fantastic, very attentive, the food was served at the same time, and plates/glasses cleared in a timely manner.... the food was lovely too!!
