We used the venue for our China wedding anniversary... everything promised was delivered. Good food cooked to our taste and more!

This was the venue of My sister's wedding and it certainly did not disappoint. This venue was recommended to us by family friends; following this recommendation we then set up a meeting with one of the venue managers Miah. Miah went above and beyond for us to show us each part of the venue; we then discussed the arrangements with Miah who offered numerous valuable suggestions and recommendations to us about how the wedding should run on the day. Additionally Miah gave us a very competitive price with a full breakdown of costs and no hidden fees. The day itself ran very smoothly thanks to Hitesh who was the duty manager. We met with Hitesh in the days leading up to the wedding; he was considerably helpful in terms of putting forward ideas as to how the day should unfold. Additionally Hitesh was a calming influence in terms of reassuring us that we had nothing to worry about on the day given his vast experience running large scale events. We can't thank Hitesh enough for making sure that the day was executed to perfection. I would highly recommend this venue to any couple who are searching for a wedding venue.

Date night which was well needed with the hubby... we came across this hidden gem over Facebook so we decided to book... how ever please phone to book if you can not navigate through the site and they will always accommodate you!.. So arriving on site the outside looks amazing right by the river waterfall and stunning lights and scenery around the large free carpark. As you enter the building its very welcoming bright lights very clean and well presented, staff members are super friendly. They take your temperature and have sanitising stations around the building. Very covid safe. All colleagues wear a mask you you do while walking around the venue. We walked into the main resturante room which is huge! Well decorated and such a stunning setting. Well dressed tables very well presented and lit. The lighting set was stages amazingly giving the whole room such a magical setting. Not too hot or too cold just the perfect comfortable warmth, the music was very calming and relaxing. Not over powering but very fitting. The menu was lovely with a wide variety of dishes to choose from with a al a carte end and well as a set menu. Such a reasonable price too... You can buy soft drinks from there but as a added bonus you can take in your own akacholic drinks which means you can keep the wine flowing with no added expense and you can let the food fo all the talking. So much to choose from off the menu with not your typical Indian cuisine dishes, there are so many variety of dishes to choose from and they will even customise each dis to your liking... from milk currys to the exotic variety right down to the vindaloo and ghost chilli dish. They can change any dish to what ever heat you like, they have no issues in adding extra heat or making it to a mild or medium. The chef is very experienced and certainly knows what he is doing. Just do you know they do cater for family's also :) Perfect weddings or party venue also which has another side for private events which can seat upto 800 people (obviously when covid restrictions are lifted) Very covid safe with large spaces between tables so you don't feel cramped in. Get booking now!! The presentation of the food was stunning and the taste is out of this world! The portions are big so fab for sharing and getting a taste of everything. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Service was excellent nothing was too much trouble. They have a desserts menu but I'm afraid we were far to full to sample it.. so full that they even boxed up what we had left over to take home with us! They are in no rush to get you out and it was such a relaxed warm welcoming atmosphere filled with laughter and fun. We didn't want to leave. After being overwhelmed with the quality and the amazing taste of our food we were greeted by the server with a warm hand wipe which was a lovely touch. We met the owner whom took the time out to speak with us, he was very friendly, understanding and a pleasure to speak too. This whole experience left us feeling fulfilled and happy. We would certainly recommend you to try. We can wait for our next excuse to go back. More date nights needed. The sooner the better.

We were made to feel really welcome by the owner and his staff. The tables are really well spaced out in this beautiful venue, and we didn't feel like we were near the other diners. The food was excellent, we all enjoyed our meal. Soft drinks are available, but you have to take your own alcohol, which we knew in advance. and helps keep costs down. We will definitely be returning, and recommending to friends. Would make an excellent venue for a party or wedding, rooms are stunning. Free carparking on site.

Four of us had a nice day out in the Peaks,we were hungry and so Googled where to eat in Derby. Tarka stood out because of the excellent reviews,we weren't disappointed. The meal was really nice, but I've ate a lot of nice meals, this review is all about the excellent customer service we received. We'd ordered Roti with nans to follow. The nans took longer than expected, which wasn't a big deal really, but the managements response was. We were given complimentary Teas and a rice pudding dessert, they also apologised. The level of professionalism was bang on,exactly how you'd expect a well run establishment to react....and beyond. Would definitely recommend Tarka, especially Shiraz who went above and beyond.

We have been to this restaurant about 8 times now . Tonight we brought friends for their 60 th birthday celebrations. As we first entered we were told they no longer take cash . Luckily I had my card on me , which my partner didn’t . We were seated and all of a sudden a girls started singing extremely loud . We couldn’t hear each other speak . After a few songs thankfully they turned her mic down . We were served starters … How disappointing, 2 soggy dishes of onion bahjis . Always been crispy before And the calamari was so tough to chew . Obviously frozen out of packet for £10 wasted . My husband did enjoy his dish of lamb . Mine and my friends butter chicken tbh was ok , way better tasting in my local takeaway . £15 for approx 1/2 chicken breast cut up , some pieces were tough , like cooked for previously and then just thrown in a sauce . The garlic and cheese nan was nice . But how disappointing this restaurant was for us , after hyping it up to friends . I don’t know what has happened but for the amount of money we paid , we felt our local could have cooked it better and fresher ! So disappointing!
