Meal out with friends We were welcomed on arrival. The restaurant is modern and tasteful and you could see a lot of thought has gone in to it. There was the main menu and also a spring menu, so plenty of choice. The food was FABULOUS some of the nicest food we have ever had in a restaurant. Thank you, Chef. We will be returning at a later date. I would highly recommend this restaurant

If you only eat out once a year , make it here ! Wonderful experience start to finish , the food and the team here make it the restaurant others need to aspire to just get close to. 10/10 well done guys,👏👏👏👏

Another fabulous evening out at the Grand Cru restaurant! We were there for the Tom Jones tribute act. The owners at the Grand Cru are very welcoming; you feel like you have an experience of personal service; they get it spot-on. The food is fantastic! Great value tribute nights - I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Grand Cru!

This honestly is a fantastic gem of a restaurant in the village. Sharon and Bernrd are fantastic hosts and the food is superb. Highly recommend.

What a fun Afternoon at the Mamma Mia Lunch. Warm friendly welcome with an arrival drink, followed by lots of lovely Greek Tapas. Service attentive and the performance was brilliant! The whole room was up dancing! Can't wait to see what the next event is!

Absolutely fantastic. The food was delicious., I had the salmon and prawn skewer which tasted so fresh and a main of lamb which was so delicious. The service was excellent. Our waitress was called Maisie, she couldn’t have done enough for us. Extremely polite and very engaging. Cannot wait to go back.

Visited here after hearing so many good reviews. Arrived at 6.30 and were greeted warmly by the owner and had a drink at the bar. At seven we were seated and ordered the tasting menu and wine pairing. By 8pm we had been served the amuse-bouche and the ham hock bonbons, by 9pm we were still waiting for our main. I asked the waitress to check on progress and we were served within ten minutes. For our final course the owner suggested we have cheese as the pudding was cooked and we were “in a rush”. By 9.50 we had paid the bill. The food was lovely but there was far too long between courses to actually appreciate how each one complemented the others. The only comment made about the delay was that everyone had seated at once. This was not the case and seating is surely for front of house to manage.

What an amazing place. The food was fantastic the service was second to none. Maisie the pirate was friendly warm and professional with a wicked sense of humour. We were made to feel so welcome. Bernard the chef, what can I say apart from WOW. The guy knows his way around a kitchen such a talented guy. We will definitely be back. 5 stars. Thank you to all the staff. What a great team.

Came for an afternoon tea and it was utterly delightful. The food was delicious and the service was wonderful. Can't recommend this lovely restaurant enough and we are looking forward to returning.

We chose this restaurant for a special anniversary (Sunday) lunch, and were absolutely delighted. A party of 8 adults felt welcomed and attended to from first stepping inside until we finally left. Sharon had been great to deal with from my first enquiry and was especially good in creating a vegetarian dish for the day to meet the preferences of our veggie friend. The quality of every item on the menu was impressive. I hesitate to pick one out, but the sea-bass tandoori starter was top of the list, enjoyed by four of us. Service and attention to detail were exemplary. Well done to such an excellent team, front of house and in the kitchen!

Visited for the first time last weekend for Sunday lunch. We were celebrating a birthday so we started with cocktails and had the 3 course Sunday lunch menu. The food was outstanding but the service we received was even better. Everyone enjoyed every course! Wine was served perfectly chilled and staff were attentive but discreet. The place is furnished beautifully too although it took my Mum a while to find the hand dryer in the ladies! Great food, place and people and we can’t wait to go again. Thank you 🎉

Before we even arrived the service from owners Bernd and Sharon was so professional and considerate. Bernd informed us of the ingredients of a requested meal for my vegan nephew - we felt assured it was suitable for him. Sharon called back and offered us an earlier reservation based on us having a child with us. Very thoughtful. We were warmly welcomed and my sister was instantly recognised by Sharon as who she spoke to on the phone. The decor is gorgeous, clean and modern, vibrant and intimate. The staff are accommodating and took great care. Lovely cocktails, extensive wine menu. The food was delicious! Every single dish was enjoyed by each of us, piping hot, well seasoned, gorgeously presented and all served together. Not a single fault! Dad gave it a 10/10 and my nephew personally informed Sharon that he “reeeeally liked” his chickpea curry! Fathers Day was a day early based on some of us living in another city - but this was a fabulous celebration and we will definitely be returning as a family and individually with friends. Another fantastic experience at Grand Cru. We have never been disappointed in the many occasions we have visited. Excellent service from Sharon and wonderful food twists from Bernd. We went as a family to celebrate mum's 94th birthday and she was made to feel very special. She had a fantastic time and the food was a treat. A nice wine was recommended and we were able to take our time over our meal.

We came for a rare date night. From start to finish the service was excellent. The decor was gorgeous and the food was even better. The scallops were heavenly! We will definitely be back :)

Best steak I’ve had in a long time My wife enjoyed the Lamb and my family all had a great meal. We discussed whether to rate this 4.5 or 5 stars but there is no half option. Why the discussion ? Simply the wait between the stater and the main course , approx 45 mins which to be fair they apologised for so in the end we ignored that and rated it all as 5 stars Loved the decor , the staff are super attentive and the food was superb Cost abut £300 for 5 including a couple of drinks . No desert as full so it was on the slightly expensive side but worth it It sits between a good restaurant and fine dining Will be back again Thanks

Wow, have just been to Grand Cru tonight with my husband, quite possibly one of the nicest meals I've ever had. Seriously high quality food, cooked to perfection, and presented perfectly! Sharon and her team give fantastic service, you dont feel rushed in anyway, giving you time to absorb each beautiful course before the next. Oh and did i mention the fabulous cocktail? Simply divine! This place is a little Gem! Thank you Grand Cru... I will be back!

It was my first time visiting Grand Cru and I was very impressed. Firstly, the food was absolutely delicious - all fresh and cooked to order. I am coeliac so was quite nervous about going to the restaurant as it’s difficult to find places that fully accommodate my dietary requirements. However, I rang the restaurant a few days before I was going to check and was told they could accommodate me and that they’d have lots of choice. First glance at the menu and I was concerned but the lady who served us reassured me and told me pretty much every dish could be adapted for me. I chose to have three courses - all of which were beautifully presented and I didn’t feel like I was missing out on anything, despite everything being gluten free. They even had gluten free bread for my soup! Besides how amazing the food was, the restaurant itself is so beautiful inside. The staff were welcoming and the extensive drinks menu (including so many cocktails!) is also worth a mention. I’ll definitely be back!

I had a beautiful lunch at the Grand Cru today. We were celebrating my birthday and had a lovely leisurely lunch. We ordered off the set lunch menu. It was absolutely delicious! The staff were attentive but not obtrusive. They were warm and helpful. The lady even suggested that I may have an alternative to the menu choice with my steak if desired. The steak was faultless and cooked to perfection. The food was all beautifully presented and we were so full that we asked to share a dessert. The lady who served us couldn’t be more helpful. As an extra treat she presented me with a Happy Birthday plate complete with a candle. An excellent lunch. Great surroundings! Well worth the money for a birthday treat! We will definitely be returning!

Very poor customer service, food, drinks over priced. My Wife had the scallops for a starter and had food poisoning the following day.

On arrival we were spotted by the senior male waiter and young waitress but NEITHER came over to greet us and we stood there a while before we were shown to our table. We ordered our food and finished it, and the only person who asked us if our meal was OK was the lovely young gentleman who took our payment. The menu was very limited but the food was lovely but not spectacular considering the final bill. We were seriously underwhelmed by the service and value for money. The restaurant is beautiful yes, but apart from the lady who brought the food to our table and the young gentleman who took our payment, the rest of the service was not very good for the prices being charged. Would we go again or recommend it ? Definitely not!

This was the 2nd visit in 2023 and both times have been absolutely amazing. We had the taster menu with paired wines both times and the quality and presentation of food was outstanding. Service was good and the staff are all very pleasant and friendly. The owner is absolutely amazing and looked after us so well. I can’t recommend Grand Cru enough.

Visited Friday. Absolutely stunning. Food fantastic. Staff brilliant, owners very polite and pleasant and took the very slight criticism we had worth every penny although quite expensive. Having said that we will be definitely be back. All 4 of us had beautiful food with no complaints at all tastiest food ever, many thanks and see you soon

Beautiful surroundings, lovely friendly staff that go above and beyond, and the food is just superb. If you haven’t visited this restaurant yet, you are missing out on a real treat.

Overall an excellent dining experience, we will definitely be back! It has taken us four years to visit, and The Grand Cru did not disappoint. The service from arrival to leaving was brilliant. The cocktails and wine were excellent, and the food was simply divine.

A welcoming reception and elegant surroundings. Great selection of wines and other beverages. The service is really good and very attentive. Quite a nice varied menu and the food was amazing.
