Lovely atmosphere with quick and friendly service from Michael. Would strongly recommend for live sports and beer garden.

Very poor service, food standard (1hr wait had forgotten order 30 min wait) this is mid week and afternoon, Shall not go again and advise you to do the same.

The food here was OK. ( lasagne ) Salad a bit discoloured, but not bad. It’s was quiet for a Sunday yet we still had to wait for 40 minutes. Nice staff, reasonable prices.

on tuesday they hosted a darts tournament, it was run well and was good fun. they had food and a free drink for everyone who entered. highly recommend going to it if they do it again

Me and some friends were involved in the darts tournament, it was extremely fun a very smart idea everyone was laughing and had a smile with some really nice food as well as the atmosphere.

Me and a friend went in for a darts tournament on Tuesday. All staff and the people playing were friendly and it was an all round great experience.

Terrible customer service. I thought the bar man was going to implode. You could cut the atmosphere with a knife. He was that angry, generally, when I walked to the bar I nearly left.

I’ve visited this place twice now, and I’ll definitely be coming back! The food is unbelievably fresh and bursting with flavor—huge bravo to the chef! 🧑‍🍳 Every dish feels like it’s made with care, and the quality is just top-notch. Not only is the food amazing, but the place itself is spotless, which makes the whole experience even better. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, creating such a warm and inviting atmosphere. It’s rare to find a restaurant that nails both great food and great service, but they do it effortlessly! Highly recommend to anyone who appreciates delicious, high-quality food in a clean and friendly setting. Can’t wait for my next visit!

Typical British pub/restaurant all on one floor, wheelchair accessible, food good at a fair price, nice atmosphere and have sky sports, basically if your looking for a Sunday dinner and a drink with friends its ideal, if you wanting to impress your girlfriend you need a proper restaurant. That said l would definitely go back

First time coming here I pass here all the time it was busy but the food an Service was great definitely worth the money I had pie my wife had gammon and I had the Lava cookie and a few drinks.

Visited on the 10th of March. I would rate this 1* if I could. Having previously visited the pheasant and had a great experience, I decided to take my partners family there as they were visiting Leeds. £80 bill and an hour and a half later the food had not arrived. About an hour into waiting I went to the bar to ask about the food. The man behind the bar (didn’t get his name) probs between 40-50 years old, couldn’t have looked less interested if he tried. I asked if our order had been forgotten (this was after I saw him print a receipt and go into what I presume is the kitchen?) which he replied that it was a new chef who had got mixed up and it was getting plated up. That’s fine, human errors happen. So I sat back down. 20 mins later still nothing, we went to the bar once again this time to ask if we could have a refund. He agreed, we got a version of an apology but was also met with “well I’m not in the kitchen”. While I can appreciate that, as front of house staff he is seriously letting down the rest of the business. If the kitchen is at fault, if we are unable to talk directly to them unfortunately it’s the front of house staff that deal with the flack from customers. He didn’t care about putting it right. Will not be returning.

First time visiting Pheasant in well over a year and I have to say its so much better since the last time I was here, it was like being in a different pub. Didn’t have any food this time round but the menu seemed great and we will come back to try some of the new offerings. I asked the guy behind the bar if he could put the Leeds Rhinos game on for me which was no problem for him at all which I was so thankful for! The only thing that could make a trip to the pheasant better would be a better selection of ciders for my partner. ✨

Ordered 2 steak sandwich waited 30 minutes no food arrived despite 4 table's who arrived after us being served asked at bar said another 5 minutes when food finally arrived it was cold clearly forgot about it usually never have any complaints but won't be back after this debacle

I popped in on my own hoping they were still serving food, and they were yaay. I was made to feel very welcome by Michael who took my order and helped me choose between mash and chips lol. I ordered the chicken and ham pie with..... Chips! And it came with broccoli and lovely thick gravy. I didn't get a picture as I just tucked straight in! It was sooooo nice, I highly recommend it! I also had a dessert, jam roly poly and custard. AND I hold my hands up when I saw the custard presented in a little pan at the side of the jrp I instantly thought hmmm should I ask for more custard... But once I had poured the custard over the jrp I was pleasantly surprised, there was more than enough to satisfy my "bucket of custard" preference. The place was very clean, tidy and welcoming. The staff were very presentable, tentative and pleasant. I will definitely be returning and recommending this place!

Lovely food and very good value.

We walked in and I tried to catch the eye of the member of staff walking by to ask if we needed to be allocated table, he totally ignored us. Bar experience not much better. The food is cheap but that’s because it’s poor quality and small portions. If you like freezer bag to fryer food then you’ll like this. When the food came we had to wander around the other tables for cutlery and managed to find one napkin. Nobody came to ask if it was ok, nobody came to take the plates away and dad’s ice cream never arrived. Zero customer service. Never again.

Lovely place and come here frequently. Just wish they’d adjust their times or post it on social media as we turned up today at 8pm and it was closed. Frequently stop food at around 7.30 as well although on the app it says food is served until 9.

The food was absolutely delicious, unfortunately due to have the doors as place at the main entrance I trapped my finger whilst open both doors at the same time due to other doors been locked this was the only way to open them. I have a haematoma on my middle finger so bruised and painful. But other than that like stated above the food was nice, please sort the doors out.

Six of us went for lunch, and had a good afternoon Friendly staff, good choice of food on menu and excellent value for money

Avoid Sunday dinner. We arrived and was informed of a 30 minute wait, understandable. Asked for a tea and coffee, they forgot, we reminded them and it happened. The meal was 2 chicken Sunday dinners with a side order of pigs in blankets. The food was awful. Chicken was watery, broccoli solid, veg not much better, cauliflower cheese hard, yorkshire pudding flat and small, pigs in blankets???? A sausage, which was tasteless. Roast potato's very dry. The best thing about this meal was the gravy. Never again. Avoid.

Family of 5 of us came for food, 2 meals sent back due to the steak being under cooked, 1 meal had frozen chips that looked like mould, the place itself was freezing, the radiators were lukewarm, To say I’ve wanted to visit for a while and after the food today we won’t be coming back, The puddings was the best part of the meal

Ordered steak, asked medium, came rare. Sent back and came back well done. Never came back to ask if everything was okay. Family spend almost £80 and left most of the mains, desserts were good. Place itself is cold and I get the impression the staff do not care. I will not come back here

Where do I start… well the starter I got salt and pepper chicken, it was basically just chicken nuggets, it hardly had any salt and pepper on on, I got a burger for main which came with chips… these was mouldy and green, I even made staff come back to the table and they just picked up the ones with green on and didn’t offer to get me anymore so I didn’t eat any of them, the food at this place makes McDonald’s look good and even Michelin star, I will not ever come back and discusted with the food and service, all the staff (young) look like they are just there for the money and not to provide a good service and do NOT care about customers at all. Shocking and diabolical!!!!

Would not recommend booking the Christmas Dinner! Waste of money the service was terrible The one day where you really look forward to a Christmas meal with your family. not having to cook, sit and relax was totally ruined by lack of staff with no compassion. The long wait between each course, then not having anything to eat with, we were not attended to and felt ignored. The food was not that great either. Left before the 4th course.

Lovely pub and good choice of beers too

Everyone enjoyed their meal but the chicken and ham pie was so over cooked you couldn't cut the pasty with a knife. I had to break it in half an eat the filling

The small 5 plates for £20 are fantastic quality food and filling enough for 2.

Had a few drinks tonight and they had a singer / guitar playing for entertainment. ( too loud) but decent . Highly recomend.

Lovely food the Plate was warm when food was brought out but food quickly went cold 🥶 because in the pub it was extremely 🥶 cold, when staff were advised its very cold in here we was told the heating is on we felt the radiators they were stone cold and aircon wasn't blowing warm when we went outside it was warmer..... Staff were overheard saying it is freezing in her I'm cold

Arrived at 15.45 wasn’t really busy… we put our food in using the app didn’t get our food or drinks until 16.45 all we could hear was swearing coming from the kitchen staff as food orders were coming in from the system… customers do not need to hear this

Cracking food, great prices staff are wonderful

I come here regularly. They used to have some good vegetarian food options, but they took them out of menu. Only downside to this place is freezing cold ladies toilets. It seems to be same temperature as outside (or even worse) and there's no hot water in taps, which makes it even worse. Other than that, im always happy to come here.

Staff were nice, service was great and the food was tasty, so would deffo call again. Time of visit Sat 5/10 12.30pm.

Stopped for drinks after going to Gagshaw Museum. Unfortunately, there was a 45 minute wait for food, so did not bother. The pub was large and good atmosphere. Outside, there is a large seating area.

This pub was recommended to me by one of our lorry drivers. So as I was parking near by, tried the pub out Staff were great the food was excellent definitely go back again

Small portions compared to other locations. Nobody seemed happy which I thought was just me having lived in Canada 10 years but the staff at the spoons and farmhouse inns we visited whilst over were all pleasant. Good selection of beers, pool table and dart boards. I wouldn't go out of my way to visit again but if I lived nearby I'd go again.

Popped in for a meal last night and stayed for the quiz, fantastic atmosphere and will be coming back next week!

There were 4 mains on the gluten free menu, so I was a little disheartened to be honest. And not even GF chips! 😞 I was very sad. And the salt and pepper chicken on main as disappointing. Almost like salt and pepper were added to chicken strips and chips. No spices etc. Won't be back. Very quiet on a Friday night too.

Called in for a pint and some food. Won't be going back. The Guinness tasted odd, not bad, just odd. There was plenty head on it but it seems flat. It wasn't as smooth and creamy as it should be. The menu items sounded quite nice, though the menus themselves were a bit sticky. I can't remember the name of what I ordered, but it was a buttermilk chicken wrap. Very disappointing. It was meant to have garlic and rosemary mayonnaise on it, but there was very little sauce, making it quite dry. It was also a little on the cold side. The I was charged more than what it said on the menu and told chips were extra, even though I thought the menu said they were included. Small, dry chicken wrap, a few bits of salad and an odd tasting pint almost £11. I would have mentioned it to the staff but there was no check-back after after I was served the food. Not like it was busy either. There were only 2 other people in the pub that I could see. Cementing my decision not to return was to VERY LARGE RAT I almost tripped over as I was leaving. It dashed under the decking area outside. Judging by the hole it went in, there are quite a few of them there and probably has been for a while. Not the worst food and drink I've ever had, but far from the best. I'll probably go to a Wetherspoons next time, instead.

Been a few times with family and friends, recently for the football. Atmosphere is nice, staff all friendly, food and drink excellent. Will be back for the next round.

I loved going to the shop because we did not bring many things for our trip and we need stuff for the baby, at The Range a found lovely decorations for my baby room here. We had food at Ikea, a nice and large area for a family breakfast before shopping.

Dropped in for a bite to eat on a Sunday afternoon whilst with our dog. Lovely dog friendly pub with treats, water bowls and even a doggy dinner on offer. I had the roast beef dinner whilst my husband had the steak which was cooked just to his liking. Friendly staff , clean and pleasant atmosphere will definitely return.

The restaurant has two big car parks (front and back). Disabled parking at the front with a ramp to the entrance. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The food was served quickly and the staff took time to come over during the meal to ensure we had everything we needed and were happy with the food.

Absolute shambles. Booked a table on line for 3 for my elderly mum's birthday. Gave me the option TO DINE or RUGBY. I chose to dine. Booking went through no problem. Arrived on the allocated time just to be told by staff that the kitchen was closed because of the rugby. I showed my online booking to no avail. I must say my mum was devastated. Birthday meal ruined. A Hugh thank you to TGI FRIDAY for saving our day with a wonderful meal and super friendly staff. Hence I won't be going to the pheasant again

Really nice food, actually delicious, only problem was it took over 45mins with no warning of a delay,that being said, once staff were made aware, they were spot on, very apologetic and a complimentary drink for our wait.

My wife and I called in for a weekday lunch and both had Katsu Curry which came with Rice and Chips. They were very well priced at £14.95 for two people, both were very good portion sizes, freshly cooked and everything was lovely and hot as it was a cold day, all in all excellent value for money. The staff were very attentive and pleasant thank you. The only downside I would say was that we had to keep our coats as others has on as it was very cold inside, there was only a small fan heater which was away from where everyone were sat. Other than that we enjoyed our meals, thank you

When looking for pub grub, we normally go to a different local Greene King pub however due to recent poor reviews online we decided to try here instead. It does look nice and cosy when driving past. You could smell the toilets upon entering, and the smell lingered all the way to the table which wasn’t reassuring. The table was a little sticky, and it was very disappointing to see that the menu is much smaller than other pubs of the same chain. The prices were also higher for some reason. The food was freshly cooked and very hot, if a little underwhelming when it comes to taste. I had the fish and chips with a side of bread and butter, however the bread was so stale I didn’t eat it. Some of the cups and glasses were a little grubby too. I don’t think this will become my regular. Not the worst place I’ve ever been but could be really nice if some love and care went into it. It’s a shame, really.

Quite shocked how poor the Sunday roast was. Two pieces of measly meat both looked like they had been boiled no taste whatsoever. Yorkshire was like foam not cooked fresh at all. Cauliflower cheese was just mush. Awful Sunday roast just a total waste of money

Great pub. Went in for some food, and although they didn't have what we wanted they pour a great pint of Guinness (almost managed to split the G, but it seems the table was slightly wonky :) ) Dog friendly pub too which I appreciate. Pool table, sport on the TV and gambling machines if you're feeling lucky!

We visited on a Friday round 4pm we had burger and chips. Really lovely, juicy burgers and very tasty, came with fries, onion rings and bbq sauce, quick service at bar. Quiet inside, Only criticism is there were quite a few dirty tables with plates/ glasses when we arrived and they were still there when we left. Apart from that 👍🏻

Orderd cheeseburger on lunchtime menu brought plain burger from all day menu, more expensive. Partner ordered steak meal well done came out medium rare. Will not be going back
