O my gosh... what a fantastic food! Big portions! Great service and well worth it! In all places I've eaten, this is the one of the best Polish bistros!!

Absolutely amazing food. Doesn't matter what you will choose, everything is delicious. Lovely atmosphere and great customer service. Definitely go there again. 5 stars not enough. Should be 10 ❤️

the pierogi were amazing. The pork was tender and the sauce on top was great, especially with the mash

Super friendly staffs, we arrived around 6pm and they ran out of cabbage & mushroom pierogi, ordered Russian(cheese) and meat pierogi instead, I don’t like cheese at all but the skin of the dumplings not only made it edible but makes it feel like this is how cheese should be eaten. Same good quality with meat pierogi. They sprinkled generous amounts of bacon bits over the dumplings as the finishing touch adding more flavor to an already tasty dish.

Surprisingly amazing. Small place but friendly. Great food sizing portions huge! Children chicken nuggets with chips actual real chicken breast fillet! Fries with great seasoning. Żurek amazing. Rosóĺ was great.

Food was absolutely 10/10. It was my first time and definitely not last! Had cheese and mushroom croquettes for starters and potato pancake and goulash for mains. Highly recommend it !!!

The staff were amazing couldn't do enough,attentive and welcoming,the food was delicious and plentiful,lol the goulash with dumplings was to die for only criticism was there were too many dumplings and maybe could have done with a little more goulash (please) , overall excellent 🤟🎅

Miejsce, którego lata świetności dawno już minęły. Jedzenie w porządku, choć mało doprawione. Ziemniaki ledwo ciepławe. Pani z obsługi miła, choć bardziej zajęta flirtowaniem ze swoim chłopakiem niż ogarnianiem przybytku. Na plus - ceny w miarę niskie. Podsumowując, nie jest źle, ale raczej już tam nie zawitamy, nie zaprosił bym tam też nikogo w celu prezentacji dań kuchni polskiej.

Really enjoyed our food here. Staff were very pleasant and overall we had a lovely meal. The only thing I would say is that the decor could do with an update, but that will not put us off returning. Really enjoyed the goulash, so tasty and meat melt in your mouth tender.

The gherkin soup was good, the goulash was excellent. Seems to be struggling though as not many people in. The decor is tired and walls are unclean. They had no dumplings or desert. If this place had a good clean, the ceiling done up, a better menu with deserts and a bit of fanfare on social media it would be successful. They can cook, the food is good as was the beer, but in the UK you need more to get people in. It is a shame as the food is good but that is the reality. People would rather go nandos for bland chicken then proper food.

Porcje duze , ceny takie same jak porcje, wchodzac do lokalu czuc zawilgocenie , sufit sie zapada , bynajmniej tak to wyglada , obsluga bardzo mila , po jedzeniu mnie z dziewczyną i dzieciakami bolaly brzuchy i mielismy pozniej problem przez pol dnia , pierogi odgrzewane z mikrofali bynajmniej tez tak smakowaly , bez smaku , jedyne co smakowalo to gulasz ale mieso z gulaszu bylo jak guma , w menu wiekszosc produktow o ktore sie pytalismy nie byly dostępne. Potrzebna tam jest rewolucja, i napewno z cenami tez. Naprawde szkoda bo miejsce wydaje sie ze ma lub miało potencjał.

My family advise will be that the place need attention from the owner. From the interior to the food itself Not sure what exactly this place is offering. Table cover really cheap and not clean well. The walls are dirty and the place over all. Food was okay. Soup was clear not much inside to eat. Main was good , cocked the same day.

This was my first time here and the food was so good. I thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely be going back again soon

Pierwszy raz z wizytą w the Polish Corner i na pewno nie będzie ostatnia. Super miła obsługa, porcje gorące i jak dla mnie idealne objętościowo, bo nie lubię się przejadać. Mega smaczne potrawy!! Przyzwoite ceny, można zjeść na miejscu przy stoliku i w spokojnej atmosferze. Na miejscu jest też toaleta i a'la bar z alkoholem. Spokojnie mogę polecić!!

goulash is really tasty. Pork chop is crispy and added flavour by minced mushroom. Definitely will return to try other dishes.

We love the home cooked style of food. It’s like your mother would make if she was polish. We have tried various things from the menu and enjoyed them all, especially the goulash.

Small little restaurant run by two Polish ladies. Limited menu all freshly cooked. Very generous portions and very tasty. Not fine dining but a lovely experience that doesn't break the bank.

This is a small restaurant in central Huddersfield serving what i assume is authentic Polish food. It was superb, the food was hearty, greasy (in a good way) , meat and potatoe stodge, when you have a starter adverised as bread and bacon grease you get the idea. I had a chop covered in cheese, mushrooms and a fried egg with fried potatoes which worked , fried potato cake starter which were filling in themselves with a Polish beer for around £18. The place was clean with quick service, all i can say is arrive hungry....

Wchodząc ten zapach odrzuca. Ubrania i włosy przesiąkają w 2 minuty tym smrodem . Tragedia. Co do jedzenia to nie najgorsze ale bardzo wyczuwalna jest przyprawa typu Warzywko albo Vegeta które są pełne różnej chemii która szkodzi a szczególnie dziecią . Kotlety mielone to najgorsze co tam jadłem. 50 procent mięsa i reszta jakiegoś wypełniacza aż są blade w środku. Gulaszowa zupa i sos do placka po węgiersku to jest to samo. Liche surówki w smaku. Dla za zapracowanych i głodnych osób szybka zapychajka. Z pewnością mogę stwierdzić że Polish Corner jest lepsze od fast foodów jeśli komuś sprawi to przyjemność. Ale jako kuchnia polska to bardzo mam średnie wrażenie smakowe . Pamiętajmy że jakie jest jedzenie to wina jest kucharza a następnie właściciela który powinien to kontrolować. Nie wszyscy klienci są na tyle szczerzy że powiedzą negatywnie o daniu. Najlepsze są ankiety z daniami i z trzema odpowiedziami złe ,średnie ,dobre. Z takimi informacjami można wprowadzać zmiany aby ulepszyć produkt. Czasami trzeba nowego kucharza. To taka rada dla właściciela.

Pyszne polskie jedzenie. Mięso odpowiednio przygotowane, ładnie podane, wszystko smaczne, porcje idealne, świetny profesjonalny serwis. I ten kompot ❤

I've only eaten here a few times, but it's never let me down. Delicious and reasonably priced.

I went to the Polish Corner on Friday 20th August for lunch. I arrived shortly before 1200hrs and they opened exactly on time. I was the first person in the café and the service was quick and pleasant. The owner was a very friendly Polish lady who was always smiling whenever she engaged with me. I had pork chops on potatoes with gherkin and sauerkraut accompanied by two beers. The Polish lady wrote down the names of the beers for me so that I could enter them into my UnTapped App. There was a Polish radio station on in the background and when not taking orders the owner was engaged in negotiating her electricity supplier on the phone; I loved this because it really gave the place the feel of an authentically run Polish restaurant with a entrepreneur working hard to make a success of their small business. The only downside was that it was quite quiet, which took away from the atmosphere a bit. However, we are in the middle of a pandemic and Fridays aren't included in the 'Eat Out to Help Out' scheme. I really do hope that this business continues to thrive once we get back to normal.

Just been in after reading other reviews, had soup of the day, (which was chicken). Then I had breaded chicken salad coleslaw and fries. Soup was very flavourful and the chicken was very tender, ( it was a chicken wing put in with the bone still on, which I liked). I enjoyed the main course portion size was very big for both the starter and the main, I will be back next time to try the goulash 👍

Me and my friend decided we would to try the polish corner as we had read great reviews! I called and booked a table a week ago and spoke to lady who confirmed my booking and took my name. Today ... literally minutes ago actually we arrived at the booking exciting to try this restaurant to be ‘greeted’ by a female employee who looked us up and down didn’t approach us as we walked in and straight away made us feel uncomfortable. We walked up to the bar and said we had booked a table for half 6 under my name... we were stared at blankly and asked if we were sure we had the right place whilst looking us up and down. She then after a long pause said she could set us a table up to which we replied actually no thank you I think we will go elsewhere as we obviously were not welcome. Absolutely shocked at the service. Have never had that at a restaurant before. What a shame for the service.

This was second visit here after a previous visit to sample food as we were going to Poland shortly after. Food good and plentyful and staff very friendly. Would recommend giving it a try.

Cute place for family lunch. Good Polish food

The hubby and I came here with our friend who was visiting Huddersfield. It was her birthday and we decided to bring her here. The staff were very welcoming and the food we had was excellent. Certainly will be coming again in the near future. The food was that good we couldn't finish it and took home a doggy bag!!!!

I love Polish cuisine so I visited The Polish Corner, a restaurant with a high rating. I orderd royal pork chops or somthing like this and I was disappointed. It was so greasy and tasteless. Their cook had a bad day probably. And after visiting my hair stank of oil.

I had an excellent pork chop. It came with potatoes, sauerkraut, and pickles and they were all great! Service was quick and it has a nice, sinple ambiance.

Truly incredible food and amazing service

This place is really terrific. Warning: come in hungry!!! The pierogies were light and tasty and the goulash on top of a cheese-filled potato pancake is just indescribably good. I’ve attached a photo but it does it no justice. Tender stew, crispy latke, oozy cheese. Omg.

My partner and I started frequenting "Polish Corner" following the re-opening. Over a few months, we have visited a great number of times. The owners are extremely friendly and welcoming, and the food is in a class of its own. We have tried a variety of dishes and could not be more impressed. Great value for money, too, as the portions are more than hearty and the prices very reasonable. Today, we both had the special- slow cooked beef with Silesian dumplings, absolutely to die for. Thank you, ladies, for all your hard work and customer-oriented, friendly attitude. It is greatly appreciated :).The Polish Corner is certainly our favourite restaurant in Huddersfield, we sincerely recommend it.

A piece of Poland - a country we love. The Polish Corner has delightful staff and the food is excellent - beautifully cooked, freshly prepared and very tasty! The beers and wines are very good. I stumbled across this place whilst wandering around the city centre looking for somewhere to eat. It turned out to be a good choice. Although there were meat-based meals 'specials' on the day of visiting, I was able to have a vegetarian meal prepared for me with no trouble. The croquette potato starter was lovely. The starter and main meal portions are a good size and arrive at the table well presented. The staff were welcoming and the service good. Best of all, a three course quality meal washed down with a pint of Polish lager cost me a mere £17.00. Needless to say, I was delighted and have no hesitation in giving this eatery a good rating.I will return here next time I am in Huddersfield to try some of the other menu offerings.

What a find !!! Lovely food, spotlessly clean with very friendly and attentive service. My mother really enjoyed her Chicken dinner and my Chicken liver meal was amazing. We will definitely be returning soon.

I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Huddersfield. The food is all freshly cooked and the portions are generous. I had a main course and a coffee which for £7:50 was an absolute bargain.

Wife and l visited The Polish Corner yesterday for lunch. We have both eaten a variety of German food and we thought it would be similar. We were almost wrong! Wife had a breaded chicken breast lightly seasoned, as she wasn't feeling too well, this came with boiled potato, red cabbage and coleslaw. I had Goulash soup with a potato pancake ( the size of a dinner plate folded in half) stuffed with meat, bell pepper pieces, mushroom and cheese. Both meals surpassed anything we had tried whilst living in Germany!! They were served hot and steaming. The Polish Corner has a good seating area with plenty of tables, it was spotlessly clean and Aga (the hostess) was so helpful when ordering, prices are quite reasonable. The menu was written in Polish with an accurate English translation. I would gladly recommend the Polish Corner as a very good place to try authentic Polish food. However when you go there, go hungry as the servings are large... The washrooms are very clean. The restaurant has a website so you can look before you try.

I love this place. Authentic polish food, very delicious, huuuuge portions. Reminds me of my polish parents especially my mum's cooking. Staff are lovely and very friendly. Recommend the potato pancakes and the Russian dumplings.

Excellent service and food, would visit again

We went just as it opened so it was fairly quite, we were seated fairly fast with menu's. They do daily offers/specials, the menu was small but a good selection. We ordered two soups from the starter section, was deciding what to order from mains when last said they are pretty big portions. If after the soups I was still hungry then I could order more. I had my eye on the Royal. True to the worx we were a little full after the soup and croquettes. Guess mains will have to be another day Chicken & beetroot, goulash..... Croquettes

The Polish corner was closed for a few weeks as the new owners took over. The place is now run by some of the previous staff and who have maintained that good quality food and charm Having visited the old and the new the quality and quantity are still excellent price the menu has changed slightly but many of the old classics are still there. It’s a no frills place still which is part of its charm and as is usual you get your meals when cooked so you know it’s fresh. Try the goulash soup or pork royale both excellent.

I was looking forward to having some traditional Polish food. The café appeared to have good reviews so I took a trip to Huddersfield to pay a visit. This was last Sunday (3 Feb 19). I got there just after 12 noon, the place was supposed to open at noon but it was shut, no life in side at all, no lights on, no one around. It didn't appear that it would open at all. There was no notice on the door but I did see a TripAdvisor sticker firmly stuck to the door. I asked myself: do they deserve it???? I shan't call again. If you cannot be bothered to as much as write a note and apologise for being shut, you don't deserve any customers!

There’s not many good Polish restaurants in the North of England, so this place may be kind of special. They prepare their food on spot, so it may take a while, but its worth waiting! Don’t expect a fancy decor, it’s all simple, but it’s more authentic that way. I’ll come back.

Very tasty chicken breast with cheese and bacon. I recommend it. Good atmosphere. If you will have to choose between potatoes and chips, pick potatoes. They are extremely good.

this place is a must if you like good wholesome Polish/East European cuisine - and there are few things better on a cold, wet December day! Excellent goulash (please beware - this is advertised as a starter but is sufficient for a full meal!), and the chicken fillet on a potato pancake was also top notch. All topped off by a nice Zywiec beer. Great cooking, good service, great value.

Stopped in here for lunch and was very pleasantly surprised. I’ve never noticed this place before when walking around Huddersfield but I’m so glad I did today. I got the pork with potatoes, served with sauerkraut and beetroot sides. Mash was creamy and well seasoned. Pork was tender and tasted amazing. Would definitely come here again and bring friends to experience classic polish home cooking.
