We often visit here as it is local, but we have come away feeling very upset and disappointed today. Would always recommend this place until we recently visited. Found one member of staff ( who I believe is the owner) very rude whilst we were ordering our breakfast. We arrived just before 12:30, we noticed they closed at 1pm but thought it was worth stopping by, we would rather have been politley told they wernt taking anymore ordereds instead of the man shouting because he had to put more bacon on and cook another breakfast. Felt very uncomfortable being there. We asked if there was a problem and the response from a member of staff was " its like Karen's Diner, but a male version" which is sad because we didn't go or pay to be spoken to like that. Feel very put off visiting again which is sad☹️

Great steamy breakfast cafe, best breakfast cafe in Burton next to Paul’s Cafe, Mac’s Cafe, Greenhouse Cafe and Cafe Malt.

All round great cafe, the special at dinner is a winner for me, meat, vegetables, mashed potatoes and gravy. At a very reasonable price also.

We received a warm welcome from the two ladies, our order was promptly and efficiently taken, after a short while our breakfasts were served to our table, food was hot and freshly cooked, the cafe was clean and has a 5* rating. Would certainly breakfast here again if I have the opportunity

I've been using this place for years even back before Graham took it over. The food is excellent as is the service. The staff always meet you with a smile and if your lucky a bit of banter to go with it.

This is the best cafe in burton for your breakfast by far. I suggest the bacon, sausage, cheese and beans sandwich. Really messy but it's just the way they make it. Want a great cafe go to Grahams.

Graham, Linda and staff are great, always get your order correct and best of all it’s hot and plenty of it. Need to change an item? It’s never too much trouble to change an item on the fixed menu also you can have your egg anyway you like it. Don’t expect the Ritz, it’s a transport cafe and the food is good home cooking. I’ve been visiting for years and would still recommend to anyone who wants a basic meal for a fair price.

The fillet minton was outstanding. My dining partner had the scallops which were wonderfully fresh and cooked to perfection. The best bernaise sauce I have ever encountered!

This is a great little cafe. The choice of breakfast items is endless, doorstep sarnies of all kinds and about 5 or 6 different full breakfasts for the light eater or the downright greedy! There are hot meals as well with mash and veg, curry, chilli, and sweet stuff as well such as chocolate or cakes. We had breakfast sarnies and it was lovely, soft doorstep bread stuffed with hot, fresh filling - YUM! The staff and owners are really friendly and it has a very pleasant atmosphere. Super value as well. We will definitely go again. Recommended.

called for a breakfast today, not too bad, but the egg was floating in grease, needed to be strained a bit longer, but main thing is they need to clean the filters as even after leaving the cafe I still could smell the cafe on my clothes 2 hours later, this is not my first visit I have been using the cafe for over 5 years when I visit family and never smelt this bad before on my clothes, I will not be returning, but please cafe owner get your kitchen filters cleaned

Great value cafe that serves excellent food! From a bacon butty to a full English with lots of other options on the menu including curry etc. Don’t forget to try the lamb/braised steak dinner on alternate Tuesdays. It’s delicious 😋. It’s spotlessly clean, has additional upstairs seating and the staff are lovely. A proper cafe serving proper grub. Plenty of off road parking too!

I ate breakfast here and wouldn't tell anyone that cared about me. Traditionally huge, greasy and meat-centric. Bloody marvellous and totally politically incorrect. Bravo.

Fab food great prices.....best fry up in Burton on trent. Choice of breakfasts are great from veggie to full on meal lovers. Snacks and cooked dinners ate also available all propper home cooked. Graham and Linda are a great team.
