Heath House Kitchen in East Staffordshire

We have visited heath house kitchen since it opened up...the family live round the corner from it. We have had birthday meals, christmas meals and themed nights there along with their general menu. Pie night is a regular attendance for us,tue first Wednesday of every month. Hand made pies, full to the top of whatever filling they have each month and they can be pastry or mash topped pies. This week I had chicken and peppercorn pie with hand cooked chips, roasted charred and buttered veg and an unctuous gravy Other pies eaten over many nights inc minted lamb, chicken and Stilton, baked ham anc cheese, steak and ale and the fish pie filled with cod, scallops and king prawns.. delicious is an understatement.

We had a wonderful meal here last night as usual, having enjoyed many previous fantastic meals here too. The menu choices were spot on, serving sizes very generous and such fresh, flavoursome and beautifully cooked ingredients. Also very friendly staff.

What a find! Had seen the restaurant advertised on social media and saw the seafood menu. Have been twice now and have not been disappointed. The food is amazing, the wine list is excellent and the staff are friendly and efficient. This is a family run restaurant with an Italian background so their love of cooking comes out in the food. They do a superb Sunday Roast too so I’ve been reliably informed! We will without doubt be sampling this very soon!

We have been to Heath House several times now and have never been disappointed. The food is of great quality, well presented and is very obviously freshly prepared. Friday evening is fish night as well as the main menu. I had a beautifully cooked lemon sole on the bone on my last visit and my husband had turbot, also very good. I would also recommend the fresh crab, which I had on a previous visit. Emma is always welcoming and the staff are both professional and friendly.

We had the great pleasure of being taken to this restaurant by friends. What a treat, fabulous food and service. I can't rave about Heath house enough. The service is impeccable and despite half our party being late due to traffic they were incredibly welcoming and accommodating (far more than we deserved). The food was all delicious beautifully presented and top quality produce. To top it of the meal was incredible value. We couldn't have asked for anymore for our special family celebration.

Another Excellent Meal. Steak pie with vegetables and hand cut real 🍟 chips. All perfectly cooked and the right sized portion for me. So full I resisted the array of puddings but settled fir some homemade ice cream When I tried to book Emma went out of her way to rearrange the seating plan to accommodate us. No forced service charge....tip as you feel worthy. Friendly and helpful staff

Hubby and myself wanted to try somewhere different and we chose Heath House Kitchen. So beautiful, calming and cool inside, the decor suits the building (Used to be my old dentist over 40 years ago!) and it has been brought back to how it should be. Very welcoming from the moment we walked in until we left. We ordered the roast Beef/Roast Turkey dinners and they came quite quickly. Wow....Presentation amazing - the food was absolutely delicious and neither of us left any. The meat was moist and very tasty and thick slices, the veg was cooked to perfection, Yorkshire puddings were yummy and the cauliflower cheese, oh that was just Mmmmmmm! Staff were the best and will be double tipped next time we visit as we forgot on this occasion. Well done all 10/10 5*****

Visited here tonight for first time. Not often do I come to TripAdvisor to leave a review but felt compelled. Pretty much a perfect meal. Food top notch, lovely service, nice ambience. Won't be last visit. Really impressed.

Our first visit and will definitely return. From the moment we walked through the door we were made to feel welcome and our customers valued. As for the food, the quality, taste and display was outstanding. We had dressed crab sharing starter, whole lobster Thermidor main and coconut rum rice pudding….and wouldn’t change any of them.

This is one of our favourite local venues. We have eaten here several times over the last couple of years and have never been disappointed: they always deliver. The staff are, without exception, helpful and friendly and the food always delicious and freshly prepared. Nothing is too much trouble. Highly recommended.

What a find. We were travelling to Alton towers from Lancaster area and had looked for restaurants with great reviews. We stumbled across heath house kitchen and took our chance. We were welcomed instantly and the staff were great with accommodating for the children. Our food, steak and ale pie and venison burger were incredible. Super delicious and the homemade chips were excellent! Puddings were exceptional too. We were so pleased we found HH kitchen and would return if we came back that way. We booked for a party of 14 to celebrate a family birthday. We were given a very warm welcome and settled into a well presented function room by the friendly staff. The service was exceptional and the food was even better. A good selection of drinks including local gins was on offer too. If you are seeking a special meal in a comfortable location and superb service this is the one to visit.

Our son suggested that we meet here as it was approximately an hour from each of our houses. None of us had been before. From the outside it didn’t look like the type of establishment that served Sunday lunch (I think it is a conference centre). However once inside we were warmly welcomed and shown to our table. The Christmas decorations were still up, very attractive and tasteful. The food surpassed my expectations. It was plentiful, tasty, beautifully cooked(apart from one too hard sprout). It was quite possibly the best Sunday lunch I’ve had. The service was attentive. I think we have found our perfect meeting place.

It was a lovely meal. Highly recommended but remember to book early! I had the flat iron steak, rare, with chips. Grandma had a roast lamb dinner and mum had belly pork.

We had a great time at Heath House kitchen. The room was decorated for Christmas and we met as a family between Christmas and new year. All 15 of us young and older were accommodated and special dietary requirements were also catered for. Emma was a great host and I would like to thank her for making it a special occasion. Always fabulous food staff always very attentive. Dining areas are well spaced and there is a useful private room if you are a larger party or family party. Plenty of games and colouring pencils and paper to keep children amused

Food was fresh, seasonal, homemade and very tasty. All of us were very satisfied. The staff were friendlt and attentive. Try the homemade ice cream!!

The food was (and always is) incredible, thanks to an excellent chef and sous chef. They’ll always cater for our two very fussy children, and the waiting on staff have never made us feel awkward for our strange requests! The staff always give us a warm welcome and continue to be attentive whilst we are there. There’s even board games and craft activities to keep the children busy once they have full bellies. If you’re looking for good food and a relaxed atmosphere, then Heath House Kitchen will always be our first recommendation.

Sunday lunch / food quality good / portions very small / I’ve had more meat in a cup of bovril / veg selection and quantity not good / if you are hungry don’t bother / staff pleasant and professional. The food is excellent at Heath House kitchen. There is a good but not overwhelming choice. The portion sizes are just right, you can easily enjoy three course and feel more than satisfied but not bloated. My steak was cooked to perfection. However, what made for a truly pleasurable experience was the staff. From the moment the door was opened with a friendly "hello" until we left with a cheery "bye" they were helpful, friendly and attentive without being at all intrusive. They truly appeared to enjoy their work We especially enjoyed their brief impromptu singing at one point. It made for a lovely atmosphere and we will certainly return when we are back in the area.
