Carla's Cafe in East Staffordshire

The Caribbean night was great with friendly fun staff. They had an issue with one of the dishes, but to me it was the first night, so bound to be teething issues. Looking forward to going back again today because the food was actually really tasty. 👌 Omg forgot to say never tried Goat before, but wow so soft. So excited today.

Visited Carla's twice in 4 days. The breakfasts were excellent - every ingredient top notch and piping hot! . The Café was spotless and the prices were very good. Would certainly visit again.

Did the usual scan on Trip Advisor for good places to eat whilst away visiting family. Carla’s Cafe came up with 5 Stars so took our attention immediately and we found out why on our first visit. We had some panini’s, full English and some scrambled eggs on toast for my usually very fussy daughter (they have to taste just right lol). Everyone cleared their plate of the generous portions and were sure to return, which we did several times. I Highly recommend Carla’s for some really good British grub, the freshly made cakes were delicious too. Spotlessly clean and Carla is very friendly. We will always return here when in Burton. Thanks Carla :)

Went to Carla's today for the first time as my sister is a regular there. I had scrambled eggs and avocado with chilli flakes on thick brown toast and a cappuccino. It was absolutely delicious. We sat outside as there is a delightful seating area round the back which is a sun trap and has really nice tables and benches. Due to Covid restrictions we couldn't sit inside but whilst ordering I could see it's really welcoming with a lovely decor and is incredibly clean. I would highly recommend this cafe.

Just ordered through just eat and it was very nice 2 breakfasts with toast food was hot still on delivery and fair price highly recommended

I must say, I have never experienced dining like this. The soup was well seasoned and served beautifully. The staff were welcoming and friendly too, overall a fantastic experience and I can’t wait to eat Carla again. 10/10

Excellent buffet for approximately 65 guests at a christening. Personalised Cake, sandwiches, crisps, dips, chips and stuff for the children, nuggets, sausages pork pies and crudités. Would definitely recommend and will most certainly use again. Excellent value and quality for Money xx

Fantastic cafe, very clean and spacious if you would like to dine in. I had previously telephoned my order and given a time to collect. The cafe is so clean and tidy and the smells you get when you walk in is delicious. I was served by Carla who had brilliant customer service and was very polite and made me feel welcome. After only waiting a few minutes, I had my order in a bag and was out the door. There is 2 hours free parking across at the townhall which is a minute walk to the cafe. You can take a loyalty card for hot drinks which gets marked every time you have a drink and after the 7th drink your 8th is free. So to the food! One word! Amazing. It has been years since I've had such a fantastic Sunday dinner, the meat was cooked to perfection. The price you pay which is may I add just £6.50 if eaten in or collected is brilliant for what you get. I would highly recommend Carlas Cafe to anyone who would like to try a nice home cooked Sunday dinner. Fantastic place!

Arriving 40 minutes early for a nearby appointment, we popped in for a cup of tea. Very little food was visible, but freshly baked flapjack was available on request. Electronic payment was available, as was decaffeinated tea. A loyalty card is in operation. The output and collection of take out food is huge and is possibly the largest chunk of this cafe's business. There are only 14 seats in the cafe (with two folded chairs and a folded table). It took a good while to be able to be seated even though our order had been placed and payment had been made. This was largely due to the customers waiting for their take out food to be prepared. Odd that those wishing to eat in had to wait for those eating out to vacate the seats. Could a notice asking that seating be reserved solely for those eating in, possibly? Believing we had plenty of time when ordering, we did not worry about the pace of things. But it took over 15 minutes for two cups of tea to arrive. The flapjacks arrived a little later. We did become a little anxious. Possibly we were too ambitious with the time available to us? A good menu seems to be available with tempting roasts on Sundays. Closes a little early in the afternoon but we were lucky to find this next to our appointed destination.

A little disappointing I thought it was going to be a bustling busy cafe but no dead quiet and small inside . No cakes or anything on show lady who served us wasn’t that friendly just very quiet and looked bored . Food was ok not piping hot like I thought it would be , cold plates so maybe that’s why . I thought it was expensive for what it was too .

Second visit and looked forward to going back when we were next in the area as we enjoyed the food the first time.......however. Food was served on cold plates meaning that it went cold quickly, very thin overcooked bacon and cheap tasting sausage.Disappointed. Won’t go back.

Great food and fast friendly service, best breakfast ive had in a long time, wouldnt hesitate to recommend to anyone, will definately be going back.

Ordered food off the app deliveroo, food came in the time it said it would.Unfortunately the food wasnt edible. Bacon and sausage was cheap and had a horrible taste also bacon was like rubber

This was my second visit, I loved it the first time. I had a small breakfast plus a cup of tea, as I’m not keen on hashbrowns I asked for mushrooms, which they were more than happy to do. The staff are lovely, bubbly and offer excellent customer service. I think the woman may have been Carla, she always had a smile and cheery persona which lifts the mood of the cafe.

3 of us dropped in for breakfast on our way to catch a train.

As a local painter and decorator me and the lads have walked past this place a few times but based on the modern decor we thoutht it would not be the sort of place for us to go for a good hearty breakfast but i was so wrong. We gave it a go a few weeks back and now we wouldn't go anywhere else. It is hands down the best breakfast in Burton. We now order regular for deliveries or call in when ever we can. Cant recommend enough!

Second time I have been here and both experiences excellent. Bacon baps for 3 of us today which were really lovely, highly recommend. I think another table could be squeezed in the middle of the cafe and allow even more happy punters to be served ✅☕️

Good nosh. Just had breakfast and the sausages, in particular,were notably tasty. That, and free 2hr parking at town hall opposite, make Carla's a win:)

We work over the road and whenever we need a hearty, well-cooked breakfast we pop in. Always cooked fresh to order and consistantly tasty. The meat is high quality and all the food is of high standard. We love it more than we should.

Friendly, helpful and welcoming staff. Carla’s breakfast box is amazing! The Cakes are heavenly and I would recommend the buffets. 😋

We’ve travelled the UK for 3 weeks now and haven’t come across a great homely Cafe/Restaurant until today. Perfect place to have a relaxing brunch and easy on the wallet. What a wonderful Cafe 👌🏽 (Great WIFI too)

I returned to this cafe after three years, and was delighted that its food and standards have been fully maintained. Service was prompt and efficient, and the food was tasty and well-prepared. I shall return when I am next in Burton upon Trent, and can recommend this venue unreservedly.

A friendly welcome, followed by a lovely hot, freshly cooked breakfast served on warm plates, with toast that was nicely browned, topped off with a really nice latte.

Enroute from the Peak District we stopped to take a break and a nice man in the grocery store told us about Carla’s Cafe . We went straight there - I believe it is dt across from the uni.Carla greeted us.We had a delightful lunch of tuna melt panini and carrot cake.Myhusband said the coffee was awesome.We both loved our lunch.Carla spent time talking with us and telling us information about the area. Her food is great and she is a delightful girl.PS Her partner made the furniture and it is just great. I hope this little coffee and lunch shop does great as it is a little spot of sunshine on a cloudy day!

A couple of hard working ladies run this corner cafe opposite the town hall. Home made delights, daily specials, polite & inexpensive... Great!

5 of us arrived on the train from Cheltenham. Close to the station. Marvellous place for coffee and cake whilst planning our route for the day.

Such a lovely little cafe. Spotlessly clean and lovely friendly staff. The decor is beautiful. The food was delicious and a really good price. The lemon and blueberry cake was to die for. Would definitely recommend and we will be returning on a regular basis from now on. :-)

Myself and husband frequently visit this beautiful little cafe all food we've had has always been great and always cooked fresh, I also like that you can see in the back cooking area from the counter which proves they have nothing to hide will be coming again soon to see the lovely polite lady's.

I pass this cafe often on the way to work and as I was early one day I decided to grab a bite to eat. It’s in a good spot if you are around that area as it’s close to the train station and there aren’t many other places nearby.

An oasis of calm amid kebab shops and greasy spoons! Lovely breakfast and good coffee. If you're staying at the Travelodge this is right round the corner and so much better than their overpriced and not very tasty food. Lovely friendly staff too.

Stayed in the Travelodge and decided to seek a better value breakfast. I found Carla's just around the corner and I wasn't disappointed. I had a really great breakfast for less than £5.

I popped in here whilst killing some time whilst waiting for a train. It's only 5 minutes from the station. Very friendly welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Had a breakfast roll - lovely bacon and sausage and superb coffee. Will definitely return

My friend and I popped in with our babies on the off chance. A lovely welcome from the staff and we didn't feel hurried at all. The coffees weren't bad either. We will return.

La señora Esposa, El Chico y yo visitamos el café en la casa de vacaciones. Algo sorprendentemente teníamos el lugar para nosotros y por lo tanto, pronto disfrutando de unos deliciosos paninis. Lo más destacado fue el enfoque y la actitud de la señorita que nos atendio, un rayo de sol en una genuina de lo contrario sombrío Burton sábado!

Que fuimos a café justo antes de la hora del almuerzo, Carla's, hambre desayunar perder. El establecimiento de la esquina es moderno y está impecable - mundo lejos del tipo de tradicional "boliche" que a menudo parecen servir los mejores desayunos cocinados, pero no tenía que haberme preocupado - me fue recompensado con una de las mejores que he probado en mi vida.

Me encontré con Carla's Cafe después de asistir a un evento en Burton Town Hall (está justo enfrente) y no me decepcionó. Disfruté de una taza de café muy bienvenida y una galleta mientras el tiempo de ralentí hacia coger mi tren. Es un lugar muy agradable, bastante feliz con sencillez pero eso le da más encanto. Sin duda volveremos aquí en mi próxima visita a Burton.

Popped in last week for a lunch date with my husband and really enjoyed it! I've just ordered us lunch an it arrived at work freshly cooked with 10 mins! Really friendly staff and delicious food.

El mejor desayuno de Burton. El personal es muy amable y si pides en el almuerzo de entrega de trabajo es rápido. Los sándwiches recién hechos también son excelentes con un montón de llenado. Excelente servicio al cliente... Si anillo y las chicas están ocupados, siempre te dan una llamada. Pruébalo, no te defraudará.

Tuvimos una comida encantadora en esta joya de una cafetería. La comida estaba recién preparada y deliciosa, especialmente el home made brownies y limón drizzlecake con arándanos. Entre nosotros también tuvimos una papa de la chaqueta, el queso brie Cranberry panini y un viernes especial sandwich de dedo de pescado.

Excelente comida casera y ambiente agradable. Los propietarios son muy amables y te hacen sentir relajado y como en casa. Llamé para un café cuando yo estuve de visita un garaje local y terminamos tomando café y tarta casera mi hijo tenía una mazorca del tocino . La calidad era excelente los pasteles deliciosos sin duda alguna.

All the staff make you feel at home with a warm welcome every time I've been there. The breakfast is beautiful made with good quality food no cheap products(The best Breakfast I've had in a long time)

We use this cafe on a regular basis . The food is superb . The atmosphere is good with helpful friendly staff . This is a real jewel I can't recommend it enough .

Trabajando localmente y no puedo ir un día sin tener que llamar a Carla's. Todo el personal es muy amable y te hacen sentir muy bienvenido. El lugar parece nuevo y muy limpio. La comida se ve y gustos excelentes y mis huevos revueltos en tostada siempre bajar una delicia! He estado en unas cuantas cafeterías en la zona en el pasado, pero ahora es mi favorito como la comida y una cálida bienvenida que sea un placer para visitar.

Llamé para un almuerzo de tapas, y eligió la hamburguesa de pollo, además de un apretón de leche. Ambos deliciosos, recién preparada y bien presentada. El personal en el lugar era amable y entusiasta, y los otros clientes cenar allí estaban satisfechos con la comida. El café ha estado abierto por sólo una quincena; lo que no ofrecemos patatas fritas, huevos fritos, salchichas, etc. ( ¿aún?) pero para un snack ligero está bien merece la pena.

Hemos estado en una reunión en el ayuntamiento local, y decidimos tomar una copa en la cafetería recién inaugurado. El lugar es muy pequeña, pero están muy bien decoradas (algunos muebles hechas en casa muy inteligente). El servicio era excelente y el personal (incluido el director, Carla) eran muy amables y acogedores. Tuvimos un excelente café y bollos con mantequilla y crema que disfrutamos mucho. Realmente espero que esta pequeña empresa lo consigue.
