The food here was really really good, flavourful and great portion

Took the kids for a half term treat. Paid £50 for three burgers, two fries and a shake. The food took 35 minutes to arrive despite asking twice and was no better than Burger King. They were clearly prioritising Deliveroo takeaways and the staff just didn't care that the sitting customers were all waiting for food. I thought it was odd that the restaurant had lots of empty tables at lunchtime in busy shopping centre. Now I know why. It's a shame. GBK used to be good

One of the worst burgers I’ve had. The smash burger is a very thin slice of questionable meat. Elements of the order wrong. Staff friendly but service very slow.

The good news was the milkshake was great. The smash blue burger would have been great too if I got the bacon I ordered as an extra. The chicken burger would have been good if the cheddar cheese ordered as an extra came with it and when raised with staff as missing they actually brought that not another cheese. The bean burgers, well not helped by not getting the vegan cheese they should have come with and then being told the American dairy cheese was the vegan one (no laughing matter as we've a family member with a serious dairy product allergy so really potentially quite serious). Those bean burgers were salty and over spiced (surprising as we discussed taking out the fiery relish). For the staff yes we were offered to have everything re cooked and a offer of free drinks was appropriate but we didn't accept as had starving kids with us. What really let the staff down was failing to bring out the some of the replacements, getting others wrong and then telling us dairy stuff was actually vegan. They also struggled with the menu system. I wouldn't have paid the full price except I had to before even the food arrived. I write this having had a perfectly good meal in Wetherspoons with bigger portions, no issues with service and less than half what we paid for botched mediocrity

Really disappointed at where this chain has gone with its menu. On top of that the personal side of it has gone and we were all sick after eating there. Not returning

Chicken dry and overcooked no chicken wings or onion rings on menu very overpriced sub standard food staff were very friendly though but still won't be recommending to anyone.

Despite the 3-stars we actually really like this restaurant. The front-of-house staff are always extremely friendly & helpful and the ambience/ interior decor/ location is great. However the new menu is disappointing with less choice than the previous one. Last night (11.9.24) I'm not sure our burgers were cooked properly. I don't think a beef burger cooked 'medium' should have a 'well-cooked' hard outer crust. Sadly we've had better burgers at a local pub, which is ironic given this restaurant's name.

Meet a family friend with children before going in to town for some food. Great fresh beef burgers for all for all 7 in the party. Clean throughout with friendly staff. We will be back.

We went to GBK in Cabot Circus. You have to order then pay via QR code. When checking out, the website automatically applies a 10% tip, there's no option for no tip, other than having to enter a custom amount of £0.00. You have to pay and supposedly tip before receiving any food or service. I put the food order in at 16:40, and didn't recieve any of the food until 17:11. The restaurant was not very busy at all, probably about 20% full. Other diners who came in after me were receiving their food well before mine. During the wait, I ordered another drink. This drink never made it to the table, in fact, it was never made at all, resulting in me having to go to the bar and asking for a refund. When the food did arrive, it got taken to the wrong table, and it was also cold. It was over cooked, which isn't the end of the world, but being stone cold made it rather unpleasant. When I was asking for the refund of the drink, I spoke to the person at the bar, who said he's sorry, but he's the only front of house member of staff. This experience was very similar to the experience I had at GBK in Street, ironically that branch is now permanently closed, I wonder why..? This wasn't a cheap bill either, so overall this was a disappointing experience to end the day out on, I wouldn't recommend, and I certainly won't be going back.

Overall a pretty poor experience. As with many larger chains, somethings been lost in translation between the concept and the delivery. I've had better burgers from local kebab shops unfortunately. Not the standard you expect for the price you pay.

I recently visited GBK and was thoroughly disappointed with the experience. The food was lukewarm at best, which made it hard to enjoy. On top of that, the service was extremely poor and slow. We waited far too long for our order to arrive, and when it finally did, it was clear that the food had been sitting around for a while. To make matters worse, the servers were unwelcoming and seemed uninterested in providing even basic customer service. Overall, it was a frustrating and unpleasant dining experience. More servers/better management definitely needed.

Really nice but burgers seem to be getting smaller

My friend and I love it here. It’s our “date” night lol. The service was much quicker than we are used to, we never really minded anyway. The burgers were a little smaller than usual but the flavour was there, worth it. Will be back again.

The food is so expensive, and the burgers are so small , like the kids ones , the fried chicken is raw. I wouldn’t recommend it

Pesto burger was lush and unique!

What a very surprising lunch me and my girlfriend had here. Passed by a few times over the years thinking it was just another burger place but finally decided to check it out and wow we were very surprised. Customer service was unreal, were told a 40 minute wait but only ended up waiting around 20 minutes. Being checked on after we've just started eating is also a massive positive in my opinion in the case of it not being up to your personal standard you are able to communicate that with the staff there and they seemed very eager to make sure that what you ordered is what you wanted. Being able to choose the how you want your burger cooked just adds something different that I've not really seen anywhere else. A huge part of going out to eat is so have something you haven't tried before and GBK really took that to the next level. However, every place comes with a negative and in this case there was two really small ones. The machines they use to make the milkshakes made an awful sound that reminds me of the high pitched sound a dentists tool makes, really disturbing sound. Next was the seating, of which I'm all for a social seating setting but the tables were within about 20cm of each other being able to hear the table next to me talking about their drunken night out where they were "spewing all over the floor" was slightly off-putting but then again, we do live in the UK. Would really recommend a visit, ended up spending about £30 for the two of us and came away feeling fairly full considering we ordered 2 burgers, a basket of chips to share and two drinks.

A very poor experience in this restaurant. Got seated immediately after arriving which was good, and the drinks came quickly too. But we had to wait an hour for our food to arrive. The restaurant was half full, but I noticed the waiting staff turning people away at the door as the service was so slow and they couldn't handle any more customers. Unfortunately, delivery drivers were being prioritised. Behind me they were in a long queue collecting food for delivery. This wasn't pleasant either. When the food finally arrived, I experienced further disappointment when we found our burgers to be burnt. For the price we paid, I found this to be totally unacceptable. I informed the staff that we were very dissatisfied, and received avery weak apology. When I complained on the website, I was made to feel that GBK were not at any kind of fault, and that this was just business as usual. Looking at other reviews, it really does seem as though this is how GBK operate their restaurants. Shame that. Anyways, I won't be visiting any of their restaurants again.

chicken burger was pink - the excuse was its chicken thigh. no it was just pink.

Just walked out of this absolutely abysmal place. Burger was rock solid and burnt.. none of this 'needs to be well done business' thanks.. food took 40 mins to come out , and so did everyones today. Literally every table were complaining. We asked for our money back , didn't eat the food and got attitude, with no sorry from the person who gave a refund - argued about the amount going back to us. Several people were complaining as well as us... I'd suggest this place if you'd fancy an early death - either from waiting , or the char'd food that'll surely give you cancer - if you're lucky you might pop it before you finish ...

I never thought I'd go to a burger place and have the best salad I have ever had! A satay chicken salad. I thought I'd get food envy of my husband's burger, but he actually got food envy of my salad! The lighting was nice and low, which helped me as I'd just had laser eye surgery. The staff were quick to get me some water when I wasn't feeling too good. The reason for 4 stars on service is purely because I wish it was more table service.

Shaun greeted us with a big smile and a positive attitude. Made the whole experience very welcoming. We were informed about the waiting time but the food was quicker than what we expected. Shaun went above and beyond with customer service throughout our whole eating experience. I have never had customer service so amazing. We will definitely be coming back soon!

Incredible chickens sandwich, only docked it because the bun was burned black on one side. I had the Korean and the rest of the group had the Pesto that also looked amazing. Sodas are bottle and not fountain. Fries were plain, no salt and a bit greasy. Onion rings were great and the best option for a side if you need one.

Ordered the small burger and fries meal. I'd had it before and it was fine. This time the burger was burnt. I sent it back and the waiter returned telling me it wasn't burnt it was meant to be like that!!! First problem with that... Is he saying I'm making it up?!? I've eaten there several times and it was fine, never had to complain before and wouldn't unless I had to. Secondly... Apparently they have to burn the outside so the inside is cooked!!!! The replacement was just about edible but still left a charred taste in my mouth an hour later. They only really do burgers so you'd think they'd know how to cook them?? Only get 2 stars because the bean burger was ok

Food is very tasty but without using any deals or vouchers it's genuinely like getting robbed, very expensive. Luckily we had a taste card so had a nice discount. Essentially the price with the discount should be what they charge in the first place. Staff are great and the place is clean and all that jazz. As a note expect pink in your burger unless you ask for it to be cooked more. Medium = pink and is how it should be!

Food taste ok but the potion for money is not a fair value £14.4 for a small kid size burger no sides at all and 330ml coke not impressed

Bad hosting. Empty restaurant. No one for greeting. They are angry towards customers entering the restaurant and not waiting at the entrance despite the restaurant being empty.

Very disappointing. The briosh bun was so small, i thought it had come from a childs play set! Felt conned, and yet ANOTHER establishment that must make a killing on the fries . . . Ridiculous prices, for a small amount.

The service is terrible, you need to even call the waiter very loudly for them to receive you or they will ignore you standing at the door waiting for a seat. You can even see a lot of empty seats but they keep just saying wait a minute, two minutes. Wouldn't even care that you were standing at the door the whole time. I'm not sure if they're racist or not because my friend and I aren't white so they didn't even try to accommodate us, but when we waited ten minutes before sitting down and then came the white people, they quickly went to accommodate them. If it was really racist that's very upsetting and sucks. Being a frequent diner at GBK I was saddened because this was also the first time I've encountered this. Objectively though it got me into a bad service situation, their beef burger and scalloped fries tasted good.

I haven't been in GBK in like 6 years so it was a pleasant surprise. Staff nice, but you order yourself through the app (or by the bar like before) which for me always lacked the personality. But so is GBK. Food on the other hand... Give those chefs a raise! Had a naked burger, loads of delicious coleslaw and little side salad, with that truffle fries. Sweet baby chesus... Yeah it's a bit pricey (when you have 5guys in front) but definitely worth it! So, sooo tasty. Coleslaw had a bit of celeriac and it made all the difference! I probably be back!

Food was late but not too bothered about that. Issue was it was absolutely stone cold. Second day running just eat have delivered my food stone cold. Have you stopped using insulation bags or something?

The staff is attentive and friendly. Atmosphere is pleasant. The food is OK, few dishes were not available, like their famous onion rings.

GBK is a decent place to get a meal, although we found it didn't quite feel like a date and more like a fast food experience. The food was pretty good, although it took some time to come.
