Gopal's Corner in City of London, Westminster

Roti canai, one of my all time favourite dishes, so stopping at this restaurant was a must. I don't usually order mutton roti canai but I decided to give it a go. I wish I'd gone with the chicken or even daal. Dont get me wrong, the dish was perfectly fine, but I feel that the curry sauce by itself or with chicken is better suited for this dish. Ayam goreng, was piping hot, but a bit dry, so I dipped it into the roti canai curry sauce and immediately it elevated it. No meal is complete without the teh tarik, and this, albeit a tad sweet was so comforting and yum.

Friends recommend this place. We ordered fried fish with curries on a banana leaf. The fish was tasty, the curries were too spicy for us, portion sizes were good. The curries were quite cold. Would have preferred if Lentils or Dhal was an option as we would have enjoyed the meal more!

Easily the best place I know to grab a quick meal. I’m a regular at both this branch and their Oxford Circus one. I love both the roti canai (chicken is my fave) and the masala dosa. Only downside this time was that the dosa was a bit cold. Excellent prices for central London.

Best roti chenai. The roti was traditional crispy of tasty with a rich chicken chenai. The chicken was very succulent. A bit of a wait but we'll worth it.

Came for lunch with a mate. Food is amazing. Flavours are truly authentic and full of spice. Food took unusually long - otherwise there would be 5 stars to this review. The curry was not ready apparently (strange at 1200 noon) Staff friendly. Prices reasonable. Rotis cooked in front of you! Amazing crunch and lightness. Fish curry amazing with good size fish Chicken curry great flavour but only a few tiny pieces inside sadly - would like more next time Mee goreng was perfect level of spice. Will 101% come again

Excellent service by Chadani and Sapana. The mutton was exotic and most well cooked. Made my day memorable.

Well that was different. Interesting selection in a great venue. Nice and spicy, well cooked rice making a great selection of flavors.

Quick dinner after seeing show at nearby theatre. Food was prepared quickly and tasted great in the busy Victoria Market Hall. I had chicken roti and wife had noodle-based meal. Would go there again.

I go often as this is the only slightly more exotic food available around Victoria. Not the best laksa ever, but it does the job midweek.. Imagine my surprise when this fluffy haired guy was at the till and serving the food. I mean, cover your hair with a cap or tie it up like everyone else does.. I don't really want hair as a laksa topping, thank you very much. This is not acceptable and I will not be coming back.

Delicious fast and friendly. Great location in the market halls opposite Victoria Station. Chilled atmosphere and home style cooking. Reasonable price.

On the second floor of the market hal. Quick service. lWe tried the roti canai on 2 occasions - both chicken and beef. We love dipping the flaky bread in a delicious sauce. We'll definitely come back as am keen to try a murtabak next. The noodle dish smells amazing and the banana leaf platter looks great so don't think you can go wrong with any choice.

I really like the food. I recommend the masala thosai and the roti cana with dhal. The atmosphere is nice too

Good quality Indian/Malaysian cuisine. Portions are good. Taste is authentic. Had tried the banana leaf veg Thali and tea at Cargo Canary Wharf branch of Gopals.

Visited on a weekday at 1200 and we had a one dish meal of Mamak Mee consisting of yellow fried noodles with big prawns,tofu puffs,bean sprouts all in a tasty sauce and decorated with slices of red chillies , spring onions and a piece of lemon. The noodles were very tasty and we enjoyed it very much.

As Indonesian, I can say that the food is authentic and really good. I’m surprised people gave less than 4 stars. I guess maybe it’s because of the location. Been living in UK for +12 years, this is arguably the best Malaysian street food in UK. There are some menus that you can only get in this place, for example Banana platter with fried fish. I’m surprised they can get a supply of good banana leaf here in UK.

Very yummy! They were out of massala thosa so I had a plain thosa, which was still very enjoyable. Sambar and chutneys were equally tasty.

That's where we looked up online to search for the nearest Malaysian Restaurant to us, just a 10 minute walk away from the Malaysian Embassy. 📍Gopal's Corner by Roti King @ Market Halls, 191 Victoria St, London SW1E 5NE There was a constant line of customers throughout our entire meal there. It was the main store that bustled with life. 🍃Banana Leaf Platter with Fish Kari Ooohhh, this was too good. I've missed Malaysian style Banana leaf rice so much, and this hit the nail on the head. The salted chillis crunched with the various curries, and the spices.. It was fantastic 🥘Plain Thosai Crisp on the outside, and soft inside. It was delicious, and skilfully prepared 🧋Teh Ais Somehow, this didn't hit the mark as I thought it would, but it was still pleasant, especially after a long night of travel via bus from Newcastle to London.

Absolutely disappointing. Ordered the £13 banana leaf platter to be met with a small portion of curry that was lukewarm, 2 measly poppadom, a massive pile of rice and some lukewarm vegetable concoction. Absolutely not worth the money, far better options in the halls.

The vegan option on banana leaf is amazing. Fast service. Really reasonably priced. Highly recommend lunch/dinner here!
