I thought that the service was excellent. Our waitress Sophie was outstanding in her grace, attentiveness and delivery. Full marks ! We will definitely go again next time we are in the area.

Been going here a number of years now and it just keeps getting worse and worse…….. Arrived here one afternoon in May. Walked in through the already open door, approached counter and asked could we please have - - - To be promptly told ‘We Are Closed’ Bearing in mind it was only 3pm on a Tuesday !!!! And was also informed the sign outside said this 🤨 As you can see by attached photo taken of the said sign….. I don’t think so 😠

Fabulous breakfast on Monday 11th March , great service , fabulous waitress , she went out of her way to help us . Great food , lovely atmosphere ?, views and ambience . Fantastic facilities . Really great up market vibe to this cafe/restaurant . Superb for a day out at Goodwood Circuit or just pop in for lunch , coffee or breakfast .

What a lovely cafe! I went here with my 82 year old mum on my day off and we both had an amazing time, my mum had cheesy chips and a cup of tea which she absolutely loved- so delicious. The staff were very pleasant and attentive and made sure that what I ordered was up to a very high quality standard and therefore this made our lunch even more pleasing. I have been to this cafe before and therefore thought it would be a perfect place to take my mum out to lunch too, we even saw a helicopter.

I’d actually rate this higher than the Aerodrome. Great service for a coffee or a more substantial snack. There is plenty of room for outside seating including over looking the circuit. Enjoy a beer and watch the cars go round. Nothing could be better.

Requested plain sandwiches Cheese and tomato Plain ham No onion Waitress said no problem. Arrived thick bread sandwiches were 3 slices with filling cut into quarters held in place with stick. Coleslaw and crisps. Unable to eat as just to thick gave up smell of onions on coleslaw awful. £20 for this with 2 teas Never again Retired couple

Only redeeming feature of this place is the location and view of the race track and airfield fro its terrace. There is no customer service, and the quality of coffee served is really poor and the food totally non descript and without merit. Why of why, are the staff so unsmiling, unfriendly and unwelcoming.

We decided to have lunch at Goodwood aerodrome cafe. Nobody welcomed us with a smile or hello. We found a nice table outside and after waiting for ten minutes I went and checked that it was table service. I was told that someone would be with us shortly but after a further 30 minutes, nobody had taken our order. We felt very disappointed as it was a special day but left hungry and thirsty. We would not return.

We have been visiting Goodwood and both the cafes for years, but I must say the changes they’ve made post Covid are not for the better. The Aerodrome Cafe menu has been reduced in choice and the cost has rocketed £10.50 for a bacon and Levin down baguette that cost £6odd in the Motor Circuit cafe before Covid temporarily closed it, is a massive increase. It also appears that the size of the portions changes depending on when you visit. The Aerodrome salad I had this time, was half the size of the time before ! The chips supplied with the burgers are now are supplied in a small silver pot reducing the portion size considerably, not a problem if they are with a Bap but when supplied with a burger you feel cheated for the price. It appears from the changes in the Old Control Tower Cafe menu that Goodwood are trying to make the Aerodrome Cafe all about light meals and at a higher price point and the Motor Circuit Cafe akin to what they called grab and go (albeit eat in) with there no longer being any salad options or specials available. Indeed if you are wheat intolerant, following a diet or perhaps are diabetic the Motor Circuit Cafe now offers little or no choice. At least there are options available in the Aerodrome Cafe. It’s a shame that nearly all the original staff pre Covid have left or been replaced but it’s always nice to see the few that remain when they are on shift as things seem to run more smoothly. I can’t fault the food it’s always excellent even if the menu tweaks are not to my satisfaction. It’s up to Goodwood how they wish to run their Cafes and I appreciate that all cost have increased, but they no longer provide the value they once did. From other reviews it would appear I am not alone in my views, but obviously there are always others that will be very happy with the changes.

This cafe used to have a simple range of good value cooked food and a range of fresh sandwiches and baguettes. The staff were always happy to provide a variation on the menu, but now it’s been changed. The baguettes have gone, and the range of sandwiches has reduced to three. Why change something that was popular, and certainly not broke. If you still want our custom somebody needs to put this café back on the rails quickly. A month ago I woulf have rated this a 5

Used to come here on our motorcycles a few years ago so decided to drop in this morning for breakfast. Asked for two bacon sandwiches a tea and a coffee . Was told not sandwiches but a “baguette “ was available so ordered that . Tea was a cup, not mug or pot . Coffee in a cup . The bacon baguette when served was a small roll . It was okay , nothing special….. the cost of 2 small drinks and 2 bacon rolls ……£19.20 … I wasn’t really paying attention when I was ordering but saw later as I had to pay by card as cash is not accepted ! Definitely NOT be returning here .

I cant review anything edible or drinkable I'm afraid. Arrived and when ordering at the bar I was fairly abruptly told it was table service. Sat for nearly 20 mins and no service at all so decided that was enough time wasted. Shame as it was my first time there and the location is amazing.

We waited a little while for our food, but it was busy at Saturday lunchtime. When it came, it was delicious. No complaints.

I visited Goodwood after a couple of years and went to the ‘new’ cafe where the old flying club cafe used to be. I loved the bigger outdoor seating area and was served promptly by the friendly and helpful staff at my table. I was quickly served with what I considered to be the best bacon bap I’ve ever hard (Goodwood collar bacon if I recall correctly). My Americano was pretty good too. New loos are a vast improvement on previous facilities. Will definitely be back soon.

I’ve decided to leave a rare review as I was disappointed to see a negative one so high in Google search. I’ve met car enthusiast friends here for years and even arranged impromptu business meetings by the circuit, the food is always great and the staff friendly & helpful. Given the frequency I have visited the other reviewer was obviously having a bad day! Keep up the great work and hopefully reopening soon. FIVE STARS.

There are two cafes on the race track site, to get to this one turn immediately left as you come off the main road and you will see the Motor Circuit cafe a little way ahead of you. We have been here a few times now and it can get really busy but there is outside seating on the ground level and also on the upstairs balcony overlooking the race track. On this occasion we arrived well after 11am on a Saturday and they had finished serving breakfast so we ordered a toasted sandwich. As we chatted to the lovely lady serving us we said how sorry we were to have missed breakfast. Amazingly she said no problem we could still order it as she was the one cooking it! So a full English it was. What fantastic customer service, above and beyond to keep their customers happy. The breakfast was fantastic as always and the coffee is always good too. We like to go upstairs so we can watch whatever is going on down on the track. If you have never been before, a word of warning. You have to go back outside and up the black wrought iron stairs to get to the upstairs cafe area. In the recent wet and windy weather it was quite a challenge to negotiate with a tray of coffees in your hand! But its so worth it for such a lovely breakfast, a really great team who all, without exception, give excellent, friendly customer service and of course you get the great view over the track. Thank you Debra, your kindness was appreciated and we have already been back!

This is a great cafe and to watch planes specially on a clean day , the tables are clean the toilets are clean. The food is excellent the drinks are very good. You can sit outside or inside.

I come here regularly for a coffee and to watch anything that's happening on the circuit of which you get a great view from the upper terrace. Not overpriced either. Recommended.

The motorsport display with GRRC was great to see, breakfast in the Aerodrome Clubhouse was excellent. Back in the new year

This used to be a lovely little cafe with amazing staff, food and views of the airfield. It has been replaced with an ugly impersonal building clearly designed for catering for corporate events etc. The food was lovely and it was very clean. However the staff are sadly too far up themselves to offer a half decent service. The impatience and filthy looks when my autistic son took a few seconds longer to choose food - there was no queue. We tried to sit at two different tables - “oh you can’t have food there”, next table “oh that ones reserved” - no sign. The place was almost empty. Not welcoming at all. We will not be back. The best bit was them requesting a tip at the counter before they’d even done a thing. Oh how we laughed. I’d take your custom elsewhere.

Very nice vent for breakfast with friends, average breakfast. Nice setting not masses of space inside so if busy could be a problem. One of the best things is the setting overlooking the airfield in the middle of the racing circuit.

Possibly caught on a bad day, although not busy ladies seemed to be having problems with processing orders, ordered an organic bacon brown baguette £4.50, sat outside, came back in after 20 mins to be told my order had got lost, was offered a complimentary drink, followed by a bacon baguette on white unfortunately. Nice retro setting, clean cafe.

We quite often pop in here after an early round of golf to see whats on the circuit and have a cuppa and a sarnie. You can sit outside on the top deck and it gives great views of the pits, start line and track. Easy parking. Worth a visit if you have not been.

I sed this place about once a month for a few years, I loved the full English breakfasts!! However, over a year ago the quality deteriorated and after being served inedible, over cooked sausages I went elsewhere for my naughty treat. After a year I returned on 20 Aug 2019 and sadly nothing has changed, the sausages were overcooked and solid as a rock!

Brilliant little cafe next to the racetrack. Good menu and food was delicious. We had to wait quite a while in a queue to order, but when the food arrived it was lovely.

Visited this cafe for a spot of Lunch on a glorious day. We sat inside in the cool part and had a really enjoyable hour or so in this new, modern building that is tastefully decorated and a pleasure to visit.

Good food all freshly prepared. Sandwiches and hot meals. We can watch the aeroplanes and the cars. All very interesting.

The breakfast was standard fare but not overpriced and you can't beat the view! Watching the cars take laps was so fun!

Visited during Spring Bank Hollies, had a wander round viewing the motor racing track and finished off with coffee and bacon bap watching the aerial activity. Great views and tasty food.

Such a dingy little cafe which is a shame as it has so much potential. The staff were rude and then absent, dirty plates left on tables, chef refused to serve food despite advertising kitchen open. Over priced machine coffee. Desperate need of a hoover and bleach. Such a nice location, an awful awful cafe.

We called in for a “light bite” for lunch having visited before.

Love this location particularly on a beautiful sunny day. Occasionally have the opportunity to take my laptop in here and do some work upstairs whilst overlooking the circuit. Probably my most productive working time and will end up buying another coffee as I stay a little longer to enjoy the environment.

Visited 18th August.Service by the staff was very attentive and helpful, the bacon rolls were great and was both the coffee and lemon drizzle cake.A ideal stop when at the race track.

Good for a relaxing stop and a nice coffee. has a good view of the track so if a function is on, its great. Plenty of parking close by.

This café venue deserves highlighting. The Goodwood Aero Club Café at the Goodwood Motor Racing Circuit is unique. If you take the stairs to the upper level, you have the benefit of watching cars on the circuit and aircraft on the airfield. So a little gratis entertainment!

We ate here in April. The food was simple, hot and well cooked. It was nice to sit at the side of the track, listening to the cars race around.

We came here for breakfast on a lovely bright day and it was quite magical hearing the sound of the cars on the track and then subsequently watching them.I had the full English which was nicely presented but unfortunately the sausage was poor and very dry.My partner had scrambled eggs which she enjoyed.To be frank the food is not the reason you go here but I shall be going again because I loved the experience..

We visit here quite regularly to take our classic cars and watch the numerous races and events. The Aeroclub café is retro in looks and ambiance with some fantastic pictures of former races. I have the full English breakfast with black coffee and it always delivers on both taste and presentation. They are also accommodating and will substitute one item for another. In the summer we sit outside on the tables but inside is also good when cold or raining. When there are no events on we like to go for coffees and cakes and sit on the terrace taking in the track and the flights form the local runways. Parking is ample when quiet and toilets are also well maintained. My only issue with the café is the terrace tables get busy and people reluctant to walk away so others can sit and dine.

This cafe was a welcome respite on a cold and windy day, and the hot chocolate was particularly welcome. The food and staff and location were all excellent.

Inside the Goodwood circuit gates with a view of the home straight from upstairs. But otherwise unremarkable, plain and basic, despite a whopping £4.90 for a mug of tea and a coffee.

We stopped in for a simple lunch on a Saturday afternoon before checking in to the Goodwood Hotel. Unfortunately there was nothing going on at the racetrack but that meant that parking and service were easy and quick. We ordered downstairs and took seats upstairs in the bright, sunny first floor space. Service was pleasant and patient. Lunch was delivered to us.

Had a lovely full English, the cafe was busy but not too full, the staff were working hard but had time to ensure everything was as required.

I never know if & when this place is open. Even at a recent week-end event I didn't bother to join a huge queue for the paddock located NAAFI wagon & left to find a breakfast in Chichester. When it is open it's OK but nothing special.

After a fantastic flight over the Sussex County side we stopped off for Breakfast at this reto cafe. Very accessible with friendly staff. The menu is small but just right I had the full English breakfast and it was delicious piping hot. Great views over the Goodwood race track. A must return visit is a must.

A great place for a Sunday breakfast. The full English was let down very slightly by over cooked bacon and accompanying tepid cappuccino. Otherwise a fun breakfast.

We regularly visit and we can't complain at the food, although a little pricey it's a great location and the high quality food. However on our last visit a few weeks ago (mongol weekend) we had ordered breakfast for 4 people with drinks. A waitress came over and told me to put my 3yr old sons juice under the table as we hadn't brought it there. It was a juice which we had brought from home, he is a 3 year old! would you tell someone with a baby that you can't give them their bottle because it wasn't brought there? Are Goodwood so desperate for money, that even after spending £30 on breakfast it wasn't enough and a toddler who likes his own juice, should be told he can't drink it and we should buy him a drink he won't drink all for a couple of pounds.

Had a quick lunch pre fight, good range of food all freshly made. Very nice chicken salad sandwich. Fast service even though it was busy

We got there just after 11 to be told Breakfast was no long available - which was the main reason we went there and I had not spotted that fact on the website.

I brought a cousin down to Goodwood for a driving experience, and afterwards we went for lunch and coffee at the old Control Tower Café.

There is a lot of history here, if you are lucky you may even get a glimpse of one of the spitfires which are based here

If you want the best breakfast in Chichester then look on further. the staff are fantastic, the quality of the produce is superb. Best bar none.

A unique cafe with grandstand views of the race track at Goodwood - great on track days when you can eat out on the open balcony. All for free, except the cost of your breakfast of course.

Stopped by for coffee and cake - thoroughly recommend the Coffee & Walnut cake, delicious! The café is full of character (it is in the old Control Tower building), with limited seating inside, but plenty of seating outside. Refreshments were fabulous, and service excellent! Nothing not to like...

We had lunch here, great setting right next to the track and looking out over the downs. We sat upstairs where the best views are. We only had bacon sandwiches and coffee but the ingredients are very good! Enjoyed it and will definitely be coming back.

Once again we visited this quaint little cafe on side of motor circuit. Had lovely bacon and sausage sandwiches. Staff friendly and helpful. Happy to bring a spare sausage and a bowl of water to our retriever -Frog. Frog therefore gives the old control tower a 5 wag review :)

Took my 2 boys for lunch, its a little expensive (McDonalds is 2 mins away) but the view is great and we chose to go on a track day so a good selection of cars out on the track and a Spitfire in the circuit. All good fun, will return

Love this cafe and always visit when passing Chichester. Lives up to the Goodwood ethos of high quality and service. Often something interesting going on at the circuit or airfield and nice outdoor terracing wfor when weather nice. Great food, smiley staff.

Have visited this Restaurant several times on our cycle rides and Service and Cake is great. But on this visit Security at gate warning about construction going on. Cars and Motorcycles just advised but cyclists told to walk to cafe, and it's not close Why can't we be warned to take care like other visitors. One of our group was not happy and told them so. Bit of a Jobsworth I think.

Cosy cafe with outside and upstairs seating, with friendly service. Cafe food on the menu, with some local ingredients. Good value, and great view of the track.

Flew into here from Cardiff in November 2016. Excellent service throughout. Food was great, and the service was excellent. It could be better sign posted from the apron though.

Perfect spot to have a drink and either a snack or hot food and watch the cars go by on the track alongside. Small and cosy with seats outside and an upper terrace for better views.

Had a really lovely Full English Breakfast (served before 11am) here recently. Really good value and not greasy or over the top, just really nice produce served very well. The staff are very polite and helpful and it is just a nice place to pop into for a quick breakfast or lunch if you're passing.

I stop here fairly frequently for a coffee at the same time watch the aircraft take off from this Battle of Britain Aerodrome..Take your camera for some excellent photo's

I often visit Goodwood racing circuit and grab a coffee when I'm out riding my bike (motor) and would normally grab it from the old Aero cafe on the back side of the paddock. This has undergone a major rebuild and so services transferred to the the front side of the track and to this site, which is the site of the old control tower.

There is no better place to visit on a lazy Sunday. And where else can you see a spitfire take off, land and taxi, while sipping a cappuccino! Very friendly staff.

Great place is you are into cars as overlooks the start line at Goodwood. Good menu and good service.

To say they are a delight to visit would be an understatement, the cafe has been a frequent visit location for my breaks and done nothing but impress and welcome me, it's staff are friendly and endearing as well as insightful, their food can be described as a treasure for your taste buds, I've only come here three days in a row and already have been inclined to visit so much I've spent over £30, the experience is that addictive. I can honestly safe this has been the best dining experience I've had in 2016

Just what you need after you've been on the road for a while. Great setting, great value for money and the staff are always very cheerful and jovial. You have to try the breakfast. Brilliant

My wife and I stopped here to have a Coffee and see what was going on at the race circuit. The Coffee was brilliant and the cars going round the track were a great sight. We also had the added bonus of watching the Spitfire take off and land twice while we were there. We didn't eat but the food coming out looked great.

Very pleasant surroundings an with excitement of cars racing around the racing cct and various different aircraft taking off including a spitfire.

This cafe is at Goodwood motor circuit & airport. Good food, nice staff, great view & location. Good place to meet for coffee & chat. Easy parking, reasonable prices. Steve. Goodwood flying club.

If your going to Goodwood track or airfield please do try this old venue. Nice food and not too expensive. If its a race day you might struggle to get in ! So if your picking up your new BMW Bentley, try unwinding here. Just watch out for StMarys corner if your new to your Bentley !

We were filming at Goodwood and needed food for a crew of about 15 people. We had various demands and needed the food to a deadline. The staff were incredibly helpful and made sandwiches, salads, pasta and some additional potato/coleslaw side plates up for our team. It arrived on time and the staff were very attentive to our team whilst they were busy with the general public downstairs. The food was very well cooked, sandwiches were lovely and everything was well organised for us. They even did GF bread for sandwiches.

Great place to stop for lunch especially if there are some cars using the race track. Current location of the cafe is the old airfield control tower which has a balcony overlooking the track and pits area. Food is good value and very tasty. You might even see one of the Spitfires based there fly over if your lucky.

The atmosphere is always a brilliant one at Goodwood and the Old Control Tower cafe is no exception. The service was as usual second to none and the food, well the organic items they produce don't disappoint. The Sussex lager is one I would recommend of course if you are not driving that is... I had a wonderful baguette containing Goodwood's own Organic bacon, own Levindown cheese and sweet chilli sauce. The portions are very reasonable too. All of the customers seemed in a good mood there (not surprising with the beautiful weather we had) and the staff were as always very friendly and helpful. The only thing I had against the cafe is the queue. It wasn't a particularly long one but the food and drink was definitely worth the short wait. Would highly recommend and will be visiting myself again soon!

Lovely outlook at the Aero cafe, and nice light lunches and cakes served here. Helpful staff and good service complete the experience. The temporary location allows views over the pit lane to watch the track day cars race past. The new aero club will re-open later this year.

We visited The Old Control Tower to watch a friend on the track and we all had lunch beforehand.

Great for a well prepared and tasty bite to eat -- not fancy but very honest. Love the egg and bacon baguette as well as the coronation chicken jacket potato. The fries are a big favourite with my daughter. Plenty of choice on the cake front and good coffee as well as good array of teas. Can sit inside or outside and very pleasant to sit upstair on the deck watching the cars on the track most days. Team who run the cafe are always very friendly and helpful. Parking is right outside the door and toilet is on the ground floor. Can get very busy on special track days.

Popped into this interesting location for tea and bacon sandwiches....the cafe serves a selection of food using quality ingredients. Very impressed with high class TeaPig tea bags priced at £1.60 for a nice big mug. Large selection of these teas on offer. Bacon sarnies were delicious. Service was excellent. Friends who live locally use the cafe regularly and I shall definitely drop by when in the area.

I have been here several times for coffee and or lunch but only during the week and have always found the staff to be polite and friendly the food is good value for money as they use local goodwood produce as I was informed by a lovely young lady who only seems to be there on a Thursday (shame)

We visit the Aeroclub cafe regularly and are always greeted by friendly staff. The food is sensibly priced if you're looking for a spot of lunch, a coffee and cake or a good place to watch the Goodwood activities with a drink! Thoroughly recommended - especially the Brie and bacon baguette with sweet chilli!

Don't bother; terrible. Had to wait for the 'specials' to be put on the board at 12.00. There certainly was nothing special about the choice.

Took family to lunch at the Old Control Tower Cafe - Waited 15 minutes with two hungry children before anyone reluctantly took our food & drink order, ignoring the fact that our table was filthy. Had to ask for our table to be cleaned, & even that was incredibly difficult as the member of staff tasked with cleaning the table cleaned two other tables & ignored the clear instruction to clean table number 7. The cafe wasn't busy, there were plenty of staff milling around. One other table inside was occupied at the time of our arrival with a few people sat together waiting for takeaway baguettes.
