What a Chinese takeaway should taste like. Cooked well and amazing flavour. Portion size is great and it’s consistent. Cash only on delivery and the delivery is quick and the delivery drivers are well mannered and polite. Reasonable price too

Slowest delivery of food, rang after nearly 2 hours of waiting and were told it was on route but still took another half hour to arrive. Food was cold on arrival, we were obviously not the drivers first stop, had to warm it up.

They took out dirty bins and proceed to touch food with the same dirty gloves... and didn't see anything wrong with it

Been going here for years but had fish and chips from there today and fish far to greasey dripping not nice waste of money shame

Sadly the worst Chinese takeaway/delivery I’ve ever had :( tasteless & undercooked, watery sauces & the satay chicken was coated in something like a batter, very very poor. I’d recommended them to my parents on Xmas Eve and was bitterly disappointed.

We had curry last night and a bag of chips the chips were really delicious as were the curry and rice. Thank you to winny we enjoyed the food so much.from Rene & Alison

Ordered the sweet and sour pork balls but am sorry to say they were saturated and running with oil, I was covered in oil and I needed to peel the batter off and try to just eat the pork which unfortunately was white, fatty and undercooked. The sauce was good and contained pineapple. The staff were brilliant too and the place was clean. Sad to say the food was bad. Maybe oil needed to be hotter I’m not sure. Sorry I won’t return.

The best Chinese I’ve ever had!! The staff are so friendly and the food is 11/10. Food is always delivered quickly and I have introduced many family and friends who love it as much as us! Highly recommend 😊

just recently bought a “large” chips from here. not large at all! the portion was near enough small. such an unhappy customer will not be returning. so overpriced aswell for such a small portion!

i asked for a large chips for 3 people and the portion is really small and i saw chips in a orange bucket on the floor where flies can leave feises in there im very unhappy with the poor service.

Very good food. Some dishes are spicy and tasty, so ask them before you want to try. I loved it.

Just visited to get food . Because I didn't hand the money to her and slid it a cross the counter I got a filthy look . I don't appreciate that and I'm shore no one else does , seems like she has an attitude problem . I suggest you change your job if you don't like it and may remind you about covid !!!

Used to be really nice, the chow mein i’ve had the past couple of times is vile. Much spicier than usual. I’m not sure how you can charge that much for food that doesn’t taste good. The chicken balls are like rubber, like they’ve been warmed up. ordered it and it got to the door within 20 mins, wasn’t very hot either. very disappointed.

Love the takeaway meals here always friendly and very help prices are good too

Food was good, only problems I had we sweet & sour sauce was a bit bland & I think I may have not be understood as I didn't get what I ordered but the mis-ordered dish was still good.

Been using this place for years! Never let me down and always been great food! But past two times now have been awful! 1st food wasn't up to usal standard at all, and now this time I'm currently waiting and it's been just over two hours! And not even turned up! Rang twice and just got told it be with you shortly! Two hours and over isn't shortly! Total disappointment! Will not be using again after 25 years and more!

Truly awful Chinese, crispy beef had a serious lack of beef, veg dishes had a serious lack of veg and on the whole a serious lack of flavour. Gutting takeaway night.

Food the best in glos that's a fact always on time always hot and no matter what dish you have it's always tasty and worth the money all day long

Lovely Chinese food aswell as great quality chip shop food , although the prices have increased in the last few months, the standard of the food has increased. All the chow mein dishes are lovely, especially the Singapore chow mein (very spicy) Other great dishes are szechuan spicy chicken, beef in black bean sauce, crispy chilli beef and chilli and garlic chicken.

Absolutely awesome place ! Me and my mum had a night in together and decided to order a Chinese. My mum ordered a beef curry and I ordered a beef chow mien .

La gente era encantadora y había mucho que ofrecer! Definitivamente recomendaría a cualquiera que visite la zona.

Esta es la mejor comida china que he encontrado hasta ahora en Gloucester, y hemos probado varias. Hemos usado Golden Star varias veces. Pidió un servicio de entrega a domicilio (teléfono directo) ayer por la noche y llegó dentro del plazo y muy caliente. La carne en la carne de res en salsa de frijol negro era tierna y el plato estaba muy sabroso. Lo mismo ocurre con el estilo de Hong Kong de pollo agridulce. Excelente relación calidad-precio también. No puedo recomendar lo suficiente.

This is a very good takeaway, on Friday night after the pub it's the place to get a Chinese. The prawn and mushroom dish was one of my favourites and the duck was spot on. I will be ordering again
