Hings in Gloucester

Very disappointed.. this is normally the Chinese takeaway that will be our first choice as its always been nice. Very disappointed.. food was really bland and no flavour at all, we had ordered a few dishes and all of them tasteless. I'm afraid we won't be using them again.

I am afraid last eve the satay curry was not very nice Chicken is boiled? We cut one piece was pink inside Weird.. Not nice at all We are regular customer I not happy customers now

First bad experience with Hings Had over 10 dishes of different foods. People told me that they were not impressed with the food. We ordered a meal for two before being good small order but a big order . My be a different

Has good lunchtime deal very good food and value always delicious. Has good range of dinner options also picture of both posted. There are a good selection of set menus if feeding a group. Very clean good food and hygine they offer takeaway there is no restaurant option. Parking is free and can be found on Bristol road and side roads close to it. Disabled access is good and can park close.

I Didnt order from here for a while as the last meal was warm and not the nicest. I have to say this time round the meal was was tasty no complaints. We also popped over for a lunchtime chow mein and curry and rice which are always piping hot and tasty.

First time trying this Chinese and the food was horrible. Wouldn’t return.

The nicest chinease in gloucester by far. Moved to the area and was recommended hings and would not go back! The chow mein is to die for. Food cooked fresh to order( you can literally hear them cooking in the background). Really tasty and fresh. Huge portions too

Best Chinese we have found in Gloucester! Shame they don’t deliver all the way out to us. Crispy chilli beef is delicious. Spring rolls are scrummy, rice is so fresh and fluffy (some places it’s stodgy-not here!) Very tasty, only place we use!

Best Chinese in Gloucester, I've tried them all. Beef curry is amazing, not chewy like most. Satay chicken is unreal and the rice is like no other Chinese. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Rubbish service they dont answer the phone shame really as their chicken chow mien is greasy and you can taste the the burnt pan that it was fried in .. Clean you pan tour chow mien has the flavour of oil and burnt try harder They dont answer the phone

We have takeaways regularly from Hings it has always been tasty and hot, you know it's all freshly made as you can here them cooking out the back. Lovely food and the man on till ordering is a great help.

Very nice chinese, not my local/regular chinese but I will definately be ordering from here again. Food arrived on time, piping hot and very fresh and tasty. I would recommend the chilli beef and salt and pepper chips, in fact, every dish was nice. I would not normally expect the thin noodles in the chow mein but they were very nice. The curry sauce is also great value as it comes in a large pot and could easily be enough be 2/3 people.

We’ve just ordered from Hings and we are so pleased with our takeaway. Speedy delivery, excellent quality of food, we’d highly recommend the hot platter! Really meaty ribs, tasty seaweed and delicious crab claw. We will be ordering again!

I ate from here for the first time this year and can't complain. Food was fresh, great special rice and prawn crackers. Very extensive menu and didn't take long to come out. I could hear it being cooked fresh. Prices reasonable for take a way. Highly likely I will go to again - next time I'm in Gloucester. Only a five minuet walk from the Travelodge - just past the old Toys R Us store on the left hand side of Bristol Road.

Not many decent Chinese takeawayseft In Gloucester but hings is definitely our go to place now. Food has never disappeared and the price isn't bad either

We had a takeaway last night as this place was recommended to us by a local taxi driver. The food was excellent and possibly the best in Gloucestershire and certainly as good as I’ve ever tasted.

After trying many Chinese take aways around Gloucester I found this to be almost as good as China town in Birmingham. Friendly and helpful staff .

Must have changed the products or Chief as food taste and appearance has changed or since we both had to go to the toilet incredibly soon after almost finishing the food, thankfully I didn't eat the prawns as well not sure wat would have happened! Also not the first time we had slightly pink chicken well second and last. Dissapointed really as this was a very good takeaway.

I have always used Hings when I fancy Chinese food, the food is almost always great. There has been occasions where the food is just about warm or the taste isn’t quite there, however this is a rarity. What I will say is, the manager is a little on the frosty side. For someone who has been using Hings for 15 years, it would be nice if he could crack a smile or provide some sort of customer service. Other than this downfall, I’m sure I will always use Hings, he has the best tasting take out in Gloucester. I’ve tried many others in the past and none come near to his standard.

We have used Hings as our go to for Chinese takeaway, because of their consistent ability to deliver fresh, well cooked, tasty Chinese Takeaway delivered to your door. But I have to call out a superb chicken and black bean sauce and prawn chilli we had on Thursday, this was way better than restaurant delivered Chinese. Said it would come within 30mins and it was here by 20mins. Excellent Chinese on every level
