Absolutely disgusting ..my friend had chicken and chips Chicken tasted hard and was very greasy chips were overcooked and hard too, the shop looks very grubby and dirty I am surprised they can make a living it is never busy in there

Old chips looked like cooked for the 7th time would not go here if I was starving

Lovely freshly cooked chips. The large portion was enough to feed three to four people easily so good value for money.

Bought childrens sausage & chips for£5.70 was absolutely disgusting chips were cold & rock obviously last nights as got there as opened doors man knew they were for my granddaughter no way could I chew on them let alone hertimes are hard ATM & was truly took on never go there.

The man who works here is very rude! However I think hes just racist as was very polite to the white guy in there and awfully rude to my partner who is a person of colour, was really raining he didn't give a bag for our food that was wrapped in paper. Definitely will not be returning. Update! Food is awful

I believe in supporting local businesses which is why I tended to buy from here although the food is okay it’s not the best in the area. I have found one particular staff member to be really rude on two separate occasions. The first time I thought I might be imagining it but today I realised that he is being rude to me. I have no idea how I have offended him However It is for this reason more than anything that I won’t be buying anything from here in the future

Way Too greasy Buttered sausage was wayyyyy to greast Please use some kitchen roll or something to get rid of oil before serving them to customers. Nice customer service though

Chips not very nice cold and cook a long time before serving. Cod was soggy. all in all wish i had not bothered and just cooked at home

Worst food I ordered chicken wings

The elderly man who served me was extremely impolite, and the french fries and fish had a terrible taste as if they hadn't replaced the oil used to cook them for a long time. I wouldn't suggest going to this place again.

This is one of those places. That are both good and bad at the same time. I ordered large cod, regular chips, saveloy and a diet coke. Cost just over £13. So pretty standard pricing I guess. The cos was decent enough, batter slightly on the soggier side but it was tasty. Chips weren't great. They was incredibly greasy, not sure what cooking practices are going on but the chips are disappointing. They was soo greasy that sauce wouldn't stick to them. I only at about a quarter. Saveloy was awful. Really bad taste I've never had a saveloy like that before. I'd probably give this one a miss in future because it didn't quite reach the mark. I went at 12pm. So lunch time.

Its cheaper than other fish shops.

Food is great always cooked well and always tasty. Portion sizes large chips enormous and for the price well worth it. Staff always friendly and helpful highly recommended

Forgot to include the most important part of our Fish n Chips, the fish. Which was over £7 so feel pretty ripped off. The food they actually did remember to give us was pretty average, bland donar kebabs and stale chips (was a quiet night so assuming the chips had been sat there a while). Overall probably just avoid and go elsewhere

Just incase you haven't heard there is a pandemic, your mask will work better covering your nose and mouth, not under your chin as your serving.

Just polished of large cod and chips and it was awesome. This isn't my local fish and chips, it's definitely worth the journey.

Just had my first takeaway from here last night, never tried it before after living in the area for 2 years, huge portions and very tasty, kids loved it, definitely be going here on a regular basis now.

Bought a fizzy orange Lucozade from this shop, when I opened it it didn't taste right and then noticed it went out of date in August 2018. I took it back and the guy took it from me and said all of the drinks in the fridge where out of date. He refused to give the bottle back and then told me to leave. AVOID.

Fantastic service ,value for money👍🏼... highly recommend the chicken kebab and battered Mars bars.

Quite rude chap who served me. It was 9.30 and seemed to be annoyed I came in at that time, sorry but if you don't want customers at that time don't stay open. Food was atrocious, chips were old re cooked didn't have any nice taste to them, spring rolls were hard and sausage wasn't nice either. We've recently moved to the area and get takeaways regularly but never will be back to this place.

Good food but I’ve NEVER been able to walk in and buy what I need without a wait for something to be cooked, and I’m talking about basic fish and chips. When it’s the early evening, why don’t they have the basics ready?

Had sausage and chips. Chips were terrible. Will be going to other fish and chip shop from now on. The whole place also needs a makeover as looks very tired and gloomy.

Ordered from there today for the first time and sadly it will be the last ! Steak and kidney pies were gone off and smelled really bad ! Sausages were over cooked and probably left over from yesterday! Absolutely disgusting and if I’d had time I would have brought them back and asked for a refund

The staff is friendly and the food is always great tasting.

Chips were very nice but the chicken portion I had was one of the worst I've ever had, so disapointedxas I should of gone with my first choice of battered sausage. :(

Possibly the worst chips I've ever had... unsure if it was the taste of chemicals or oil which offended more. Don't bother visiting. No surprise I was the only person in on Saturday evening prime time, guess the rest of the area know already.

Don't stop on this fish and chips the oil is very old and black plus them don't pay any wages to this employees I see on Facebook a employee of them who left because them treat put him living in street don't respect the privacy of this employee plus don't pay any money for the work to this employee greed and disgusting people who serve bad the customers and treat this employees like rubbish hope you get reported to the health safety for the lack of cleanisseness in your establishment madeirense bosses are the worst

Portion sizes vary. They will serve chips so old they have changed colour. Always ask to see the chips and if that is the size you ordered .

Only use it as a last resort as it's very hit and miss. I really hate reheated chips but it's fairly common to get them served up here. The fish is usually okay but the batter can be freaking awful - gloopy and doughy.

What a waist of money, got home with 2 large cod sausage in batter and chips and chucked the lot in the bin, the fat it was cooked in was so old and dirty it left a brown stain on the plat and tasted dirty and really greesy. The chips tasted like they had been reheated 1/2 dozen times. This was so bad that it would probably make you ill

Absolute rip off! Ordered a chip roll and was handed a roll with about 10 chips in and to top it off charged £2.10 for the pleasure! If you are hungry don't stop here .....
