Duke Street Grill in Chelmsford

Went in for a kebab after drinks with friends, worst kebab I've ever had, don't waste your money. The good reviews are made by staff or their friends.

Best Doner in town. Real meat fillets not processed elephants leg and great value. I returned back and there was no quality doner, just awful processed doner, when I asked what had happened, the staff just looked ashamed.

Have ordered from here a couple of times, with the food not being alright from time to time. However today I had people round, there was 10 of us, and we ordered something in. We chose this Turkish place. When we called to place the order they barley had all of the things we wanted. And for 2 platters and a wrap it came to £100 (where in Places 30 mins from here you can get one platter to feed 6 people + for half that price and the quality of food is very high)They then called back asking for card after previously saying they can’t take card and want cash. After an 1 and a half hours they arrived and the guy wouldn’t let us even check the order without giving him cash. We took the food in, with some of it cold and there was a lot of missing. As we had some only chicken eaters in the group they said they will replace the things they were run out of with extra chicken, which they didn’t and therefore some people not eating a lot and therefore having to make an sandwich. When we called up to complain about the limited food and the temperature they really couldn’t care and said we could get half price next time we come, which without a doubt next time we go to their restaurant to order they probably won’t recall it and lie so we won’t get it any way. ABSOLUTELY DISAPPOINTED AND WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THEM AGAIN

This guy is a complete nuisance to the area! He keeps us all up all hours with his karaoke machine playing Celine Dion over and over again. His food hygiene can’t be great with the amount of time he spends on that machine and not cleaning that grabby shop. You got to be really drunk to even consider going in.

3 out of 4 times when this place is supposed to be open it hasn't been. Tonight the Mrs called for a delivery and was told that they were closed because the manager hadn't ordered any meat! Seriously! A kebab shop with no meat! Shocking

I can't believe how you can make a kebab so tasteless!! & I had garlic & chilli sauce!! Even the bread wasn't cooked properly If u hadn't have been so hungry I wouldn't have ate it & now I wish I hadn't. Utter rubbish Don't go there

My third visit and it’s confirmed my experience the first two visits, Absolutely exceptional, this is kebabs but at a gourmet level, just delicious I’ve eaten in many restaurants that don’t even come close

Ordered via Just Eat website Yaprak Kebab which claims to be British Lamb Shoulder marinaded in special sauces & herbs layered daily good on a wood Spit..... well funny enough this was "PLAIN" Doner Meat £8.00...... No sauce no marinade no grill... My Partner ordered Combi Kebab £9 and this came with 3 pieces of Chicken and funny enough the same kebab meat in my so called special marinaded Lamb!!!! They are a a joke didn't want to listen to my complaint DO NOT USE...total rip off...!!!

Really disappointed with the food I received ordered pizzas both were covered in flour. Barely any cheese on it. Can honestly say worst pizza I've had. Wouldn't recommend to anyone. We didn't even get a proper greaseproof paper for the pizza instead we got chips paper what a joke.

Last time I ordered I loved the food it came with rice and home made outta. The only issue was delivery driver trying to chatge more then didn't have change to give me. This time the food was awful overcooked black/burnt no rice and a cold shop bought pitta and food cold. Really disappointed will not be ordering from here again

Thankfully this place has reopened. Probably the best kebab (at least takeaway) in Chelmsford! Love it and can’t wait to go back.

Great takeaway place with really tasty Turkish food at sensible prices. We have had four takeaway meals and none have disappointed. In fact we all agreed the food was better than the Bogaz restaurant where we ate recently and were disappointed. I do believe that although it is listed as a grill it is in fact only a takeaway and not a restaurant.

So ch good food, really delicious. Go for the Turkish/Mediterranean options. The kind of place you want to visit during the day. If you're looking for a late night kebab shop, this place way over shoots the mark. Great service, insanely good prices.

Got Donna meat and chips from here today and it was Awesome! Definitely going back!!
