Food not great but service a big 0/10 Guy at the counter shouting out and very aggressive. Must have been a bad day but a bad experience for us. Will not return. Fountain much nicer staff and better food quality

We ordered a takeaway the food was so salty making it very unpleasant. The duck was dry and the sauce was salty the ribs were dry and the beef and mushrooms was tasteless and the rice was very dry. Clearly not cooked fresh. Spoke to the restaurant and they were not that helpful saying I should have taken the food back. Such a shame as normally very good but won't go back there again

Good quality, hot, freshly cooked food. Really tasty and big portions. Food is better than the Chinese restaurants in Dorking. Highly recommended.

Lovely, freshly cooked, generous portions, tasty, quality ingredients. These newish owners know what they’re doing. New menus are in their window and available inside this takeaway, but all menus online are a few years out of date and difficult to read. We will be back very soon to try some more dishes.

First time ordering from here and it was fantastic. Ordered crispy shredded chilli beef, sweet and sour chicken balls, egg fried rice and prawn crackers. Even though we had to travel home the food was still hot. The beef was the right amount of spice, the chicken balls were great quality chicken and the rice was a great consistency and lovely flavour. We will definitely be back.

Absolutely fabulous Chinese takeaway. Food is better than you get in any of the Chinese restaurants in Dorking. I order regularly. The portions are large and all the food is really fresh and very tasty. Friendly staff always helpful.

We've been here a good few times now and the food never disappoints, flavours are superb, portions are generous, and the meats and seafood very good. They use good quality ingredients and the beef is always beautifully tender. Service is good too and if ordered in advance is always ready at the arranged time, and finally good value for money

This is the first time we tried this place and we won’t be going back! The beef with bean sprouts was tasteless and insipid and the sauce was greasy/gloopy. The chilli spare ribs were chewy and didn’t taste fresh at all. Aromatic duck - the duck was over cooked and really dry. I didn’t even bother trying the spring rolls!! Overall, a complete and utter waste of money and very disappointing.

We used to eat take away from The Golden Palace regularly when we used to live in Dorking and thought that it was great. Now back for a visit and find that it has changed hands. Sadly the previous owners did not pass on their expertise to the new ones. Poor is the right description. I had chicken with chilli and garlic, but cannot imagine why the latter two ingredients were in the name. There was nothing chilli or garlic about the taste. The chicken was chewy and it was bulked out with onions and carrots. Some gloopy snot coloured sauce was in it but I am not sure what it was. My wife had Singapore chow mein which she described as pretty tasteless. We won’t be eating from here again.

Poor quality . Chicken dish was not good. Gentleman who took order was not interested. Won't be going back.

After a shaky start following change of ownership, they have upped their game. First take-away from here was 50% grease but that was then.

We always have our Chinese take away from here. We ordered in the restaurant and didn’t have to wait long for the food to be ready. The waiting room has papers dated from a few weeks ago! The food itself was yummy and the portions were large – perfect for sharing. I enjoyed the crispy chilly beef and the lemon chicken dishes. Would recommend.

At the end of a long day, a quich chinese just hits the sport, popped in on Friday for Sweet and Sour Chicken and Special Fried rice, great value at around £8, cooked very quickly, Its not the very top quality but its a good, solid take away with friendly staff, will return soon

Singapore noodle is great in this place. Very good price and nice service. Always quick ! See you again !

La peor comida china que he comido.Se suponía que era un buen chino para llevar para mí y mi madre después de un par de días muy ajetreado. No fue así.Los langostinos estaban cocidas y duro y el bateador demasiado gruesas y pastoso.La salsa dulce y amarga era absolutamente horroroso y probado de vinagre y no mucho más.Las patatas fritas eran apenas cocinadas y el pollo con champiñones y brotes de bambú fue muy desagradable salsa marrón oscuro glutinoso'.Comí unos bocados y luego lo tiró en la papelera. Mi madre era igualmente impresionado. No me esperaba comida gourmet estándar, algo comestible. no se puede ir allí y no se lo recomendaría a nadie.

El Golden Palace ha sido mi takeaway chino favorito para más de 10 años! ofrecen consistentemente bueno, sabroso, comida caliente y el personal es siempre amable. que ahora se mudó alejado de la ciudad de acuerdo con la otra persona que dijo que es una lástima que no ofrecen un servicio de entrega - puedes llamar su pedido por adelantado, y estará lista para tiempo y caliente.deliciosos, frescos y deliciosos chino un comida :)

Give the "crispy" duck a miss, the worst I have had, I think it had just been refried from the previous day, the skin was like plastic.

Ordered tonight based on recommendation all the dishes were overlooked or cooked earlier and reheated. Really poor rice, chow mien ribs all overlooked. Arab Ommatidia duck ok as was chic sweet & sour we will not use this takeaway again!

This is our favourite chinese restaurant in Dorking. The food is amazing and the service is second to none with friendly staff. I highly recommend the Specail Fried Rice and Roast Pork in Yellow Bean sauce. It is a treat; you won't be disappointed!

Nice food. Promkpt service. Pleasant Staff. Not the most extensive or varied menu but very tasty none-the less. We use it a fair bit and are quite happy to return there.

Had a takeway from them for a large group. I think everyone enjoyed it, very tasty. Why does it have to more than 100 characters? I have no more to say.

Have been using The Golden Palace for over fifteen years now. Always friendly service and the best tasting chinese takeaway in Dorking and yes, I have tried the others.

Came from the midlands just for this (and some friends that live close). Felt slightly peckish from a long journey and ordered a light bite. Pleasantly surprised by the quality and quantity of the food. I would say that the chow mein was quite positively the best sample of true eastern culinary delights that I have had in many a year. The golden palace can certainly teach my local chinese a thing or two. Golden Palace.... they have lived up to their majestic name.

By far our favourite chinese takeaway in the area. Friendly staff a good menu and perfectly happy to prepare dishes in the way you want them (I dont like onions). They prepare an excellent crispy duck which is always a good sign for a takeaway and the crispy chilli beef or crispy chilli chicken makes it onto every order I place which is just about one a week!
