Absolutely shocking disgusting service 2hrs late no answer there phone once food come it was stone cold and tasted like it had been sat for ages and the wong tongs had no filling was just folded filo pastry wouldn't order from here again was a loyal customer

Order a take away last night, restaurant closed at midnight and gave a 50 min wait for delivery due at 00.10 wich is perfectly good, except at 00.30 when still nothing arrived and the restaurant was vacant I call to see what was happening, no answer from restaurant, I have a random mobile number call me back they seem half asleep asking who I was I said I order a take away they said give me postcode so I did, and they said its 2 mins away and hung up, the drive arrived at 1am with cold food I didn't want anymore the restaurant had been closed for a hour so its definitely a min of an hour out of the shop, I said I didn't want it and tried to cancel order, he dropped it on my doorstep and left, I tried to selvage something but it was cold food and hard fat stuck to the chicken were it had been sat for so long, it went in the bin, avoid at all cost

Absolutely disgusting service for one they don’t even speak hardly any English. My son made a order without my permission, we tried to cancel but there was no option so we phoned them and they just said can’t cancel it’s been made and hung up, the worst customer service I have ever seen do not order from them wankersssss

Awful service! Rang to cancel an order straight away and was told rudely “no no no cancel! Bye!” And the man hung up! No explanation or anything. I have never experienced such poor customer service. I rang back to find out what was happening and no answer… they’ve blocked our number! Absolutely disgusting!!!!

Absolutely shocking. Worst Chinese I've ever had hands down and was a rip off. All veg looks old, most thinks burnt, no seasoning on salt and pepper, bland sauces. Honestly terrible. Wouldn't last where I live.

I should've read the reviews before trying this place. 2 hour wait for an oily mess. I don't like wasting food but I threw most of it away, if I had eaten much more I would have been ill as it was so so oily. Puddles of oil on the surface of everything and on the outside of the tubs. Ribs were really dry, chips were cold and when ringing to chase the order the man on the phone just fobbed me off saying 5 to 7 minutes. Try another half an hour, why lie just tell the truth.

For me it's the worst chinese food in gloucester. Distasteful . Made with old oil or heated several times. I threw everything into the bin.🤮🤢

Awful place. Silly me ordered on just eat then paid cash. Was ready for collection way before the time they stated. Had a notification to say the food was ready to collect, arrived 5 minutes later. When I arrived home the food was cold (not warm), chips were soggy and prawn crackers were soft and were stale. Rang the restaurant for fresh food or refund and they refused. Cancelled the order on just eat so it looks like we didn’t get our food. My partner then went to the shop where they then said they couldn’t speak English and we were liars.

Absolutely disgusting restaurant they take card payment then do not deliver your food and are abusive and rude on the phone! DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE ABSOLUTELY VILE.

I popped in yesterday for a quick snack, late afternoon. Place was deserted and no orders while I was there. Order was one pancake role........took over 25 minutes; thought the chef had died! To be honest, it was very tasty and nicely cooked, if a bit small. Having read the reviews, I don't think that I would risk a large order.

Place will be shut down. Environmental health will be getting notified.

Always had good service from here. Food arrives on time, if not early! Food is nice but SO salty! Deffo need to lay off the salt shaker. Other than that not bad.

One star is too generous, ordered a couple of times through just eat and it’s always late, this time it just didn’t turn up. Kept calling the restaurant and they kept saying “2 minutes” and then hanging up. Absolutely shambles of an establishment that deserves to go out of business.

Awful. Food was rushed. Delivery time was 55 minutes, delivered in 20. Chicken balls were overcooked. Spare ribs were dry and covered in sauce at the same time. Wontons were just folded pastry with no filling. Pineapple fritter was greasy and overcooked. I'm never ordering from there again. And the delivery driver couldn't find my address even though I told him exactly where I live twice on the phone.

Ordered on NYE through Just Eat. Food was marked as delivered but never arrived. Called over 200 times and never got an answer. Still waiting on a refund nearly 3 weeks later.

Absolutley shocking ordered for a delivery and it said will be deliver in 55mins. I was waited for 2hrs and still no food delivered. I phoned them but went to answer machine every time. So I drove upto their restaurant and a rude man kept saying 5 mins. I waited for 20mins to pick up my delivery. There were other 3-4 people who came with same issues. I paid for delivery but didn’t get refund. This restaurant and customer service is very poor and don’t recommend it. I will never use it again.

We ordered 6 pm New Year’s Eve through just eat. 9:30pm still no food we rang the restaurant who said it had been delivered. We never received the food and we rang the restaurant who said the driver tried to deliver and I don’t understand English.. then the phone was put down and our numbers blocked. Absoloute scum bags conning people out of hard earned money!

I ordered over 40gbp of food on just eat and the booking was confirmed for delivery at 7.30pm. It was to feed the whole family . They never arrived and despite over a 100 calls never answered the phone . AT 10PM the website suddenly flagged the order DELIVERED. Of course IT NEVER WAS and they never answered the phone up to 11pm that night. We made by then 200 calls which connected just to an answerphone . I guess many people were disappointed. Is it a real take away ?

Put the order in at just gone 6pm. Said it’ll be delivered by 7:14 I thought okay this isn’t bad. Come 7:45 nothing. I rang them over and over on my house phone and mobile and didn’t get through once Messaged just eat and they said it’ll arrive by 8:10pm okay finally our food will be here. Nope.... 9:30 my food arrived STONE COLD. I asked for my money back and they said they aren’t going to !!! Going to ring you later and demand my money back. £30 F*cking pound on stone cold food 2hours late. I don’t think so DO NOT EAT HERE

Last night me and my partner fancied a chinese and decided to try this on what a big mistake first of all the lights were all off when we arrived and he threw us the bag of food and closed the door. Then we went back to the flat well the next morning I was being sick and so was my partner the chicken balled were greasy and tasted burnt the crispy beef tasted like it was from the scraps of the over the prawn crackers tasted like a bin. I called them demanding a refund and they ended the call and I called again asking for a refund and they ended the call on my what rude horrible people if I dont get my refund I will be going to the health and safety department to close this place down.

This place was dreadful, the food took 1hr 50 mins to come even though it said estimated delivery time 30-50mins. I had to call to chase it, they said it would be 5 mins, when it was much longer. No apology for the delay. Then half the order was missing, when I called to tell them they said they would call me back, which they didn’t. I called back politely asking for a refund or the remainder to be delivered. They accused us of lying and said the food was in the bag when it wasn’t. Hung up on me several times. No refund or the extra food. The worse service I’ve ever had from a takeaway.

A lot of bad reviews for these guys but every time I order the foods been BANG ON!! I live far away and its ALWAYS HOT. I feel like they have changed their ways and deserve a higher rating. Keep up the good work Golden palace

I order in Foodhub and I request my food on delivered at 9:30, but they didn’t did it even send to wrong place. And when I call the restaurant asking about my food ,the owner admitted they send to wrong address, and they will send again for me. But I been waiting for an hour I get nothing, so I call again and they said they can’t find the address so need a lot time to get it . So I wait started at 10 till 11:30pm for nothing.and the owner call me and he was blaming me saying is all your fault cause you give us the wrong phone number so they can’t find the address keep blaming me and fxxking me saying (if you not happy with this just cancel it we don’t care ) I was feeling so ridiculous,I was trying being nice so I keep telling myself it’s alright maybe they just misunderstanding. But for that attitude I really can’t take it. Pls don’t order food in here anymore let’s get this shop close. I can’t believe the owner can said that to they customers if they’re not really care the business why they don’t just close. Don’t order any food in this restaurant , if not you must regret. I ordered at 6.40pm and got the message food would arrive at 8pm. At 8.30 I phoned them and they said the deliver left at 8.18. Numerous other calls were avoided. At 9.30pm just confirmed I would be refunded my money back. Avoid at all cost.

Placed and order this evening for delivery and after 2.5 hours it still hadn’t been delivered even though they said it had been. Eventually had to go and get it to find out the driver had been told not to deliver it. The quality of the food was a 1 and out 5 even after all of that wait. Poor, poor.

Amazing experience! Will definitely order again. We were quoted 1hr 15mins and came in 35! If I’m being honest I’m shocked at the other reviews, claiming they wouldn’t answer the phone or the food took forever to come, but from my experience that couldn’t be more false from the truth! Also the food was beautiful. Overall a very positive experience and would totally recommend!

Have to be honest - booked a take away at 1800 on Sunday and advised there was a 75 minute wait for delivery. The delivery arrived exactly on time. The crispy shredded Duck was perfect as was the chicken in black bean. Would recommend.

Ordered from this dump through Just Eat and after a 2 hour wait for the delivery, my partner phoned them to which they were extremely rude to her and said the refused our delivery. People should think twice before ordering food from these crooks.

Late and salty. Make sure if you order from them, if you've got a house name that you give details of where you live. Honestly not worth the really long wait.

Order food here 6/1/2020, asked if he used the chicken balls out the fridge which look like they've already been cooked and exposed to all sorts of bacteria, and to amazement the Asian guy that runs the place forgot how to speak English. Will update tomorrow if I get food poisoning

Genuinely impressed. Bought in store, about 15min to cook (so cooked fresh from scratch, not the pre-cooked tripe). Chicken Balls light perfectly crispy batter and tender chicken; Salt and Pepper Squid; and the main thing, so simple but often disappointed from other Takeaways their Prawn Crackers, super crisp and fresh. I eill definitely be making it my goto Chinese

If I could give no stars, I would. We ordered online, delivery took over an hour. Once delivered, the food wasn't even our order. I called them 3X with no answer. I then had to drive to them and give the food back. I was met with very little english (conveniently). They called "the boss" who came to the takeaway with our food, which was now cold. No apology was made, he argued with me that he had to go back to my house a second time to give me the food I had ordered. Anyway, long story short, I left with the correct, cold food and a reluctant £2 delivery charge. DO NOT order from them! Save yourself the hassle, money and breath.

My food didn't turn up for 2 hours and 15 mins , And it was cold by the time it arrived, not only that but my son answered the door for me as I had been poorly and the food cost come to 23 pound 80 pence , so my son gave the delivery driver 40 pound 2 20 pound notes and the delivery driver only gave him 6pound 20 p back instead of 16.20 so I got skanked on 10 pound . Rang up but no one came back with my money .

I tried to call up to ask the contents of the egg fried rice and just asked is the egg fried rice only egg and rice, they said you want to order egg fried rice I said no I am just asking what is in the egg fried rice and they then hung up on me.

Took 2 hours to deliver, and delivered completely the wrong food when they did! Tried ringing but they literally don’t answer their phone, had to drive down there to try and get the right order!

Ordered from this place, received the food late, chow mien was greasy and not mixed at all, just noodles with a layer of "chicken". opened the beef and found a black long hair, was not impressed. Rang, no answer. Do NOT order from this place. Too expensive for the quality of the food, should be a third of the price.

Awful . We asked for no veg in the crispy beef and they gave it with veg and it wasn’t even a full portion . The plain noodles tasted of disinfectant . We ordered the sweet and sour chicken balls yet they failed to give us the source just the dry chicken . The chips were undercooked . Had to wait over an hour even though we ordered it before hand , there was even 4 people working at the time . When I picked up my order and paid I get home and have a call claiming I never paid . I had the receipt in hand and they wanted me to pay again??? I went down back to the shop and showed the receipt and asked for the sweet and sour source which they failed to do . However they said we already had it , which obviously we did not 🤬I do not recommend this place as the employees were rude and respectful to their customers .and do not give the correct order

Rude and unprofessional staff on the phone, had to repeat myself a few times for a simple delivery request (which still fell on deaf ears) and in the end they did not take card. Will not be attempting to order again

we had a delivery last friday evening which was 15 mins early and was looking forward to the food, but it was awful and very salty, the egg fried rice was brown and absolutely awful, the chicken satay in sauce was horrible, have received an order before a few months ago and it was nice but not this time, the only thing I liked was the vegetable chow mein, son too complained , wont order again

Placed an order via Just Eat while drunk. Fell asleep waiting for order. Driver refused to leave food with my neighbour and when I enquired where my food was they said it had been delivered. Food paid for. Refused refund and so have just eat....

i waited 2 and a half hours for my food, very excited to eat chinese with my gorgeous family and what greeted me at my front door was hairy egg fried rice, pork chow mien and chips. plastic shard in my curry and chicken balls that tasted like squid. and just to add fuel to the fire, you forgot our prawn crackers. everything tasted like it was “dripped it car oil” and tasted no better that my cats piss. highly recommend if you want a week off work. terrible. oh and also, upon eating this disgusting meal, i felt like i was in im a celebrity doing a bushtucker trial. i would rather be eating kangaroo balls right now.do not recommend.

My partner and I decided to order from golden palace through just eat this evening and we're happy with the quality of the food. However this was ruined by the fact the delivery driver clearly cannot read or hose to ignore the one and only note we placed with the order "do not ring or knock on the door we will come out and meet you". Now have two very awake children crying at 11.30pm and two aggitated dogs. Struggling to enjoy the food.
