The negative was I asked for barbecue spare ribs, didn’t tick the box for barbecue sauce, didn’t tick the box for syrup, so was expecting dry barbecue spare ribs, no got ribs soaked in something, not good!!! BUT special foo yung and chicken fried rice was lovely and hot and tasty.

worst Chinese food I've ever had.

We rang after the delivery window passed and there had been an “error in the kitchen” and it hadn’t been cooked! Had to wait another 45 mins before it arrived.

Won’t be ordering again . Food was cold. Chow Mein had no sauce and was bland . Sauce was congested like it been sat for awhile . Rice was bland and like cardboard. Had to order from somewhere else . So upset

I don’t like leaving bad reviews as this is someone’s business and how they pay the bills but after my last experience I feel I should. I’ve ordered from here 2x. Chicken chow mein is slimy and chips stale. Last time I was violently sick. Lost 2 days of work and now can’t even smell or eat Chinese food without feeling sick. Health inspector needs to visit

Oyster sauce was just water, crispy chilli beef was soggy and not crispy and the chow mein noodles were mushy. Spring rolls were okay. VERY unimpressed with food quality - for £40.

me and my autistic deaf som called up and was denied service, when i started crying she said she would find me and chin me and my son out of our Council flat. this is shocking

Last night me and my family came to eat out. We found mould in the corners of the room and this put us off our food. To add to this my son who had is arm removed last year was giving his cutlery but could use it due to having one arm, therefore i told him to eat with his hands since he is still a young boy. The workers then got funny with me for having a son with a disability and were constantly making fun of him behind his back. This behaviour is unacceptable to a public restaurant.

Was ok, I ordered a pancake roll and received 2 x spring rolls, also the food wasn't hot it was luke warm, should be delivered using an insulated bag. Plastic bag does cut it.

keep giving us day old rice with our food and beef in the curry was like leather so wouldn't surprise me if the Currys were a day old too!

chicken balls weren't cooked properly - could only eat 2 of them. rice was ok, rice cracker were alright. got a whole bottle of soy sauce, so that's nice.

This is our favourite chinnese takeaway in Gloucester. The food is always fresh and fast delivery. The Cantonese style chicken is superb and the chowmein is great too.

I wouldn’t wish this place upon my worst enemies. *DISCLAIMER*** This review is intended for the establishment of wing wah manchester and not this exact restaurant but as it is not on tripadvisor we feel that this restaurant is partially responsible for the betrayal we experienced. If we could, we would leave -54 stars on this takeaway, truly shocking to say the least. I have met a lot of catfishes in my life but never have I experienced a fish bar pretending to be a chinese. I don’t know how they have the cheek to use the respected name of chinese takeaway on the front door. If I was to request a last meal, I would much rather choose my son’s ( Dave Kebab) sick over this any day of the week, and he eats a lot of kebabs, well tries to anyway he doesn’t have any teeth yet. We should’ve seen the red flags as soon as we entered the ‘chinese’ takeaway, it looked and smelt like a fish and chip shop, we should’ve realised at this point to walk away with our heads held high and our tastebuds still in tact. But I am used to ignoring red flags when steven cheated on me with stacey next door, she was well ugly. If you’re reading this steven, I am taking the cats! We ordered ‘salt and pepper chips’ which I tell you now was a horrific mistake, one that put our lives in danger. These were fish shop chips with salt and pepper seasoning with approximately 0.14 of an onion mixed in. Now I don’t if you’ve ever eaten sh*t off the street like I have before but these chips tasted worse. I have never seen such a bad mix of 2 things in my life and fish shop chips should be destroyed instantly. We ate 2 chips each and out the car window they went, straight onto a biker named Timothy, he smelt the chips and decided to throw his bike away and go live in a cave underneath mount everest far away from any life whatsoever in fear that someone may throw a fish and chip shop chip covered in s+p at him once again. Now, if you think that was bad wait for the main event kids, ‘salt and pepper’ chicken. I am no chicken expert, I raised chickens for 45 years but I am no expert. But when you process a chicken and turn it into salt and pepper chicken, there should be no bones or fragments left inside, but then again like I said I’m no expert however our neighbour Sandra CLEARLY is an expert because she’s done it for 3 years at chicken camp and think she can tell me how to raise my chickens. FYI, CHICKENS DONT NEED SUNLIGHT SANDRA!!!! Just love and affection. Peace. There was a huge bone in the chicken and I wasn’t impressed and it could’ve caused me immense harm but luckily I collect bones so I know my bones and can spot one from 786 yards away. I am deeply unsatisfied by Wing Wah Manchester’s service and will never return even if I was forced to and my life depended on it, I do not like eating bones in my chicken and I do not like salt and pepper on fish and chip shop chips, for this reason, Dave Kebab will never hear of this place for his own safety and the safety of his future family. Messed up the order three times and the last time I complained there's no say I'm not allowed to order from them again what a joke they mess up then blame the customer

ordered a takeaway and was given the wrong bag with the wrong food in it. An apology was quickly offered and despite living just out of Gloucester a driver was here quickly with a fresh, and correct order! Very impressed, can’t fault the service and the food is excellent.

Ordered food around 21.45 from uber eats, its 23.47, still no food, line busy after calling 43 times... if you can't get your orders out in time, stop taking orders, the food however is excellent having had an order sent via a friend, what a shame to have to write a bad review.!!@

Ordered through JUST EAT and have complained through them but they refuse to do anything! The chicken balls had overcooked/hard batter but RAW chicken inside - literally made my son gagg The Chinese pork was SO tough, i couldn't chew it. The rice was hard/lumpy. I've tried calling the restaurant but no answer whenever I call. At £28 for the meal, I'm fuming that it was so bad :-( We rarely have takeaways and this was meant to be a treat!

Absolutely awful service took 1.5 hours to arrive and contacted restaurant and they did not care and offered a bottle of coke for compensation … avoid this restaurant by all cost spent a lot of money for and less than satisfactory service and meal . Never again !!!!!

I ordered chicken satay it did not come with the meal and after ringing and asking for it to be delivered they refused. I also ordered salt and pepper chips I received chips with no salt and pepper!!!

I've ordered from here several times recently because I work at Gloucester Rugby at the end of their road. The delivery driver will drop it to the Rugby Club gates for me for no extra cost. The food is always really hot and tastes good! No complaints what so ever! I know this place has been here years so they are most definitely doing something right. Thanks 😊

Hadn't been here for a while but SO glad I did cycle to pick up a house special fried rice. Food didn't take long to cook & when I got home, I was happy that I went as my food was delicious, fragrant & cooked to my perfection. One knows when it's right & Wing Wah Chinese restaurant is the right choice for Chinese food!

Ordered on a Fri evening via Just Eat, as my usual Chinese was closed. The order was accepted straight away, delivery time estimated as 45mins but was delivered early by a pleasant and friendly guy and it was still quite hot. I had beef curry, fried rice and a pancake roll, which were all really nice. The curries are large and definitely no shortage of meat! We all enjoyed our dishes so Wing Wah will certainly be a consideration for future take away nights.

I love the Cantonese chichen with satay sauce.. The amount of chichen you get is crazy and instead of soggy batterd balls is crispy like kfc chichen but the chicken 🐔 bits a massive x it's a must 👌

I don't order takeaway that often, so when I do it's a treat, was not disappointed. More often than not, i find chow meins and Singapore noodles too salty but this was not i'm glad to say. Good all round value, will be ordering again

Prawn curry and fried rice. Beef curry and chips. Chicken Satay. Food was hot and delivered fairly quickly. Satay sauce VERY nice. Chicken over cooked (I suspect reheated). BOTH curries were tasteless and had a LOT of onion...which would have been ok if the rest of the food was ok. Called to "complain" but got fobbed off with "nobody else has complained" and "we will mention it to the kitchen staff". No offer of recompense (not surprised) Voting with feet.

Never order from here! Chicken was undercooked and chilli beef had no beef in whatsoever...just batter. When I phoned to complain I got told that "their chicken would never been uncooked but that they would send a driver out to collect my meal and give refund". Half hr later no delivery driver showed so phoned again to be told that "no way would their chicken be undercooked and that they were not sending a driver out to collect but I could take a picture into them tomorrow". Appalling customer service and Appalling food. Will never ever be ordered from here again!over priced horrible food. Please don't waste your money!!

Lousy meal last time but I gave them another chance tonight FACT Special Curry totally inedible, insipid as was the Singapore Chow Mein. I hate complaining but clearly, yet again they've changed their staff and this meal was the worst ever I've used Wing Wah for some years but I think this will be the final time. I really hope they sort themselves out before it's to late!

I am sorry Joanne, you are absolutely wrong!!! What's wrong with your pallet that you cant tell the difference between beef & chicken. You are being spiteful. No matter where you say you grew up. Let me tell you how it really is............. I came on here to write a review because I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious my food is. I got more chicken than I was expecting, big pieces of the sweet & sour chicken, tender & I thoroughly enjoyed it. I also ordered the veggie spring rolls, beef chow mein, chicken fried rice as I have a little one to please. Which is exactly what it did. We got a bag of Chinese chips to accompany our meal for free. Quickest service I have experienced yet. Very clean little Chinese take away restaurant. Thank-you Wing Wah, we got our moneys worth. I will definitely be going back.

I am spoiled, I grew up in Singapore but this was the worst Chinese meal I have ever eaten. We had sticky beef, szechuan chicken and sweet and sour pork and we literally could not tell the difference between each dish they all looked and tasted the same. We have no idea what the beef dish was made of - it tasted like plastic and was so far removed from a traditional 'sizzling beef' dish. Shocking. This is not chinese food.

We used to order from wing wah every 2 to 3 weeks because we quite honestly think they're the best in gloucester. Now it's once every 6 months to a year. It's gotten very expensive and I find it's simply not worth the cost. We ordered here last night, and was quite disappointed for what we spent. I think this will be my last time ordering for quite some time if I'm honest. On top of this I'm constantly bombarded with emails from them, but you'll never find them ever offering a discount.

Whilst the meal was adequate I find the policy of charging so much extra if you order online a total rip off. You also get charged 40p service charge for ordering online. Whilst the prices are given when you order online, you cannot see the normal shop menu so you don’t realise you are being charged around £1 per meal, or more, extra. Once bitten, twice shy! Other Chinese take aways are available that don’t rip people off this way. Order nr 14243967. Price when ordered online £41.70. If ordered in shop, or via phone, £34.70. You decide!

I'm visiting the area. I've had many Chinese meals all over the country. This one was bad for the sweet and sour chicken Cantonese style and egg rice and 1 portion of chips. Well all was well until I ate the chips. They look golden very appetising but when youbite into them they're very hard and very disappointing. I may just of caught them on an over busy day and my chips didn't get as long as they needed. I'll go again when the opportunity arrives.

Oh dear, this takeaway was totally underwhelming The curry was watery with minimal taste, the pieces of chicken were, for want of a better description, slimy. Sweet & sour chicken was better but not by much. Chicken “balls” (they were sausage shaped) although plentiful, were a bit greasy. Sauce again was watery. Our favourite takeaway was closed so we tried here, but never again I’m afraid.

I don’t normally write reviews but thought I had to with this one. Tonight was the first time ordering from here and definitely will be the last. The food was awful and most of it was inedible. The curry sauce was like thin gravy with no taste to it at all. The chicken balls were more like chicken fingers in a real greasy batter. The only good thing was the crispy seaweed but after paying £33 I expected to be able to eat more than that. NEVER AGAIN.

Without a doubt the best Chinese in the city, I have ordered a variety of dishes from their menu and been impressed every time with not only the quality of the food but also the fact they deliver (and yes it can occasionally be slow if you order mid evening on Saturday night but only an idiot would complain about that)

My goto for meals. Quality always good with plenty of it. Last time was a straight beef curry, boiled rice and spring rolls. Curry had just the right amount of 'bite'. My usual is beef chow mien which is excellent after a chicken noodle soup.
