The best curry ever the chicken was cooked and moist.absolutely delicious. It's the best Chinese in Honiton. The food arrival lovely and hot. The containers are plastic and not those takeaway tin foils dishes so I can recycle them as well which is very good for our environment

Best Chinese in honiton!! Me and my partner always come here for our Chinese, we have it probably twice a month and it was always delicious and never disappoints us. The lady at the front is also very nice :-)

Sadly very disappointed with the portion size of my Shredded Crispy Chilli Chicken main meal takeaway tonight. The small plastic pot was only just half full, a lot of sauce and hardly any chicken. I normally order from a competitor and the plastic container larger, and full. Sadly won’t be ordering again.

Recommended by a friend to try out this place and holy moly it was the best Chinese I’ve eaten in a long time! Food was hot and fresh. Service was fast and friendly. Good value for money too. Making this my go to for takeaway Chinese!

The food was good, but the atmosphere of the premises and the customer service on the night was lacking. Considerable inconvenience was lack of card facilities.

One of the best takeaways I’ve had from Honiton for a while. Chicken chow mien, special fried rice, shredded beef and chips were amazing. Would definitely go again.

We got a takeaway from here as the Thai place was closed. We hadn’t tried it before so thought we’d give it a go. The food itself was nice but we soon discovered how salty the food was as we were up a lot in the night having to drink a lot!! We won’t be trying it again.

We find Golden Palace a great place to get our Chinese takeaway from, the chowmein has a lovely taste much better than a previous place we used to go to in Honiton and the price is very reasonable too, friendly staff..always pleased..

Amazing food and service as well as affordable pricing. However, their cans of drink were not refrigerated which isn't ideal and their spring rolls lacked in vegetables and were not very full. Overall pleased.

Lovely food good prices but in this day and age a takeaway that does not take any form of card payment is just annoying and it means I won't bother again having had to go out to cash point and back again At least put it on the signs and menus if this is a long term policy

Golden Palace is the new name for this Chinese takeaway which is now under new ownership. Sadly I wasn't impressed with my visit last week. Sweet and sour chicken was more like a soup with the large quantity of watery 'sauce' and the actual amount of chicken was poor. Crispy beef was equally poor and again swimming in a large amount of sauce and a fairly small portion. There was so much soy sauce on the fried rice it was a dark brown colour and overly salty. Sadly my hunt for a good Chinese takeaway within 10 miles of home goes on.......

Great service, friendly warm welcome. The meal was very tasty with plenty of fresh ingredients. It's nice having little extras included too such as prawn crackers, fortune cookies and chocolate.

Nice traditional music, great service from staff and the food is good in great portion sizes! Especially for the price. Cannot complain aside from being what my Chinese friends describe as being English Chinese.

Used to be good restaurant, probably the best round here. Since change of ownership the food gone downhill fast. New owners dont know how to cook the food or give a $#!+ about it, many chinese takeaways are now sold to people from mainland china as previous generation owners are at retirement age and their kids dont really want to work in the food business so they just sell it to one of their workers which is the case here, the mainland people in china cook food that are very spicy and taste quite a bit different from chinese/ Cantonese food outlets we know. Chinese people are proud of their nation and the reason you never see mainland chinese cusine on any food outlet is it is different kind of food and is less popular. Staff is rude especially the lady owner, who talks like they gave you the food for free and dont be fooled by the former boss showing up and serving you he is most likely there to disguise that the business is sold.
