The food is so much better under new ownership. It's always hot and certainly is always fresh. we love the sweet and sour from here. The rice is always very well done to boot

I found this place on Just Eat for the first time so ordered a take away from them, the food was fresh and delicious and normally when you order noodles they are dry but these were delightful. The food was delivered in a very timely and I will certainly be ordering again, if you are local definitely give this a go.

Very friendly quick and tasty. Parking easy and a reasonable lunchtime menu. Easy to find with Google maps

This used to be our regular chinese until there was a change of ownership. It always seemed to be closed so never really bought from here anymore until of a spur of the moment order a couple of weeks ago. Food arrived hot and was really tasty! The sweet and sout tasted fresh and not the usual sugar filled ones you usually get. I was really impressed with the food. It arrived quickly and delivery driver was friendly, I do miss the chips and sauce though.

Después de los últimos nos llamó a comfier fue en el camino dijo que la izquierda hace 10 minutos y teníamos una entrega antes de la nuestra? Bien. Luego de 45 minutos más tarde apareció un hombre joven y un coche lleno de sus compañeros. Pregúntale por qué tan tarde se rió y nos dieron en su coche. La comida estaba fría como si hubiese sido en una nevera. Llamó al león dorado donde me dijeron que no me salvo él que hacer y me estaba mintiendo sobre él trae frío, así que pedí un reembolso? Dijo que estaba lleno y sin teléfono me unos 11. 30:00 cuando su fiebre. Así que llevé la comida a la tienda de vacío con el cocinero y él estaba jugando juegos de video en la parte trasera. Cuando finalmente salió al frente que me dan así reír en que le dije por teléfono de que comer solo de la parte trasera donde no he oído él quejándose de mí. Mientras él estaba en el telefono me di cuenta el lugar tenía Pintura despegándose de las paredes y el techo de la planta estaba sucia y la cocina estaba podrido? . Cuando volvió me comer solo y me preguntó qué estaba mal les dije y me dieron un reembolso. Mantente alejado de este lugar el personal es grosero la comida mala y fría. No recomendaría este hotel a mí perro.

Delivery time was fine,food wasn't. We ordered fish cake, we received 2 tiny fish cakes which looked frozen youngster fish cakes, we didn't receive the prawn crackers that we ordered and the delivery man was rude. Never ordering from here again!!!

The sweet & sour was very vingerery Duck was lovely plenty of it Curry sauce was slightly watery Will order from there again but the sweet & sour needs to be rectified

Food was spot on only problem I had an it's a small one we ordered half a duck for a group of us an only got 1 pot of hoi sin maybe send 2 out next time as it's alot of meat

First Time Customers! Ordered a mixture of food & drink and cannot fault anything from start to finish. It was a busy Euro 2016 night with England playing and they still got the entire order to us within half an hour. That alone is astonishing but i have to say that we found the food to be perfectly cooked, huge portions and absolutely delicious. A free gift of spring rolls thrown in also which was very kind indeed. All in all i give The Golden Lion 10 out of 10 in every single way possible. Thanks Guys!! Ste & Loo xx

Food was hot, tasty, great quality and great value.speedy 20 min delivery.my only fault would be that the bottom half of the burger bun was still somewhat frozen/hard in certain areas but will definitely order again in the future. The service was great and they got to are door not long after i had ordered, the person who had presented the takeaway was really polite and the food was amazing i really enjoyed my meal.

this was far the worst food I have had from this takeaway will never use it again and when you have placed your order they call you to say you will need to pay a further pound for delivery even after me spending over ten pounds

Absolutley amazing especially since the new owner has arrived. Not only is she lovely she is always wearing a smile and chats to my 4 year old daughter. All the staff including the delivery driver are really really nice xxx

Salt and pepper chicken is great from here and the chips are great, not like normal mushy chips.

Salt and pepper tofu especially was delicious .. struggle to get tofu from the chinese places full stop on the wirral so was very impressed. Bf enjoyed his salt and pepper squid the best too!

Excellent! We order from here every time we get Chinese and would never go anywhere else. Delicious every time and delivery is always fast. Can't fault the quality either.

Loved the ribs and my family felt the same about the mixed platter. Wasn't so keen on my sweet and sour king prawn but again the chicken sweet and sour Cantonese style they loved.

The food was an absolute disgrace the salt and pepper chips had no flavour or taste in them whatsoever and the curry sauce was cold before the delivery arrived as we was putting the food out the curry sauce was coming out the carton in clumps. I have ordered from here numerous times and I have never had a problem before, as this is under new management I strongly advised people not to order from here again. And to top it all of I rang up and complained however the women whom was speaking on the phone had no interest in my complaint, I was told to bring the food back to the restaurant and they would cook me a free meal even thou the delivery fee is £1.50 and I live quite a distance from the restaurant I am not a happy costumer atall and will never be buying food from here again!

The food was beautiful! Especially the salt & pepper chicken. I'll definitely be ordering again. The Singapore vermicelli was nice. It was a little dry but I'd rather that than greasy.
