Great food at a good price with great staff really friendly and smiling always a joy to visit

Hi ordered food last night a X-Large kebab with cabbage and onion , a double chicken burger with cheese and chicken with wedges , chicken and wedges was good but the X-Large kebab was very small plus it had lettuce not white cabbage on which I don’t like plus the double chicken burger with cheese I ordered had no cheese and this isn’t the first time I’ve been let down by them normally it’s no wedges but gave them a second chance , I would say now your better off going to diamond kebabs or baba kebab , might be slightly more expensive but not a lot and you will get what you order , I hate doing this but I’ve contacted them direct and they never get back to me

Ordered on Uber eats and delivery driver cancelled my order because of a blocked road and didn’t want to drive around another way so they took my money and won’t answer calls

My small family moved to kingswood in September. We set off to look out for local fast food store that provides excellent food on price and quality. It’s been 4 months now since I came across this place, we go there once every week , the staff always provide excellent customer service and they are especially patient and helpful.the amount of food per serving is incredible big , it makes sure you will be full and definitely not a bit hungry. I recommend everyone to come here to get lunches or dinner! It’s definitely worth the price!!

Lovely kebab great after night out

Ordered on uber eats a scheduled delivery 5-5.30. Money pending, nothing came. Rang and they said there was no order received for me. Tried again an hr later on their website, money taken...nothing came. Rang and they said my food was still there. Food should have been here 40mins ago. Complete joke!!

These lot are theifs don’t order from them I ordered on Uber eats didn’t receive my order called the store and whoever picked up maybe the owner was too disrespectful and also told me I wasn’t getting my money back theif

The amount of food you get for the money and it's amazing the customer service is amazing the best is Bristol I only order from golden kebab always been a fan since they first opened 28 years ago have tried other but they done come close

Just finished a large kebab at £8 takeaway. The price is very good for the quantity of kebab offered. The salad is not the best at all and mine was not enough. Per total I am full after this dinner at 23:30 but the service can be improved. The sauces I got were garlic (tasty and light) and signature one, chilli (tasty and not spicy hot). Hope this review is helpful and constructive!

The delivery service is the pits. Dont bother with these gimps, they don't know what they are doing. Waited nearly an hour and called for an update....the guys says its out for delivery...another 30mins pass so I call back to be told by someone else they've just cooked it and they are waiting for a driver!!!!!!! Avoid

The food is good but our orders hasn't been right couple of times. On 1st occasion we ordered it online so there should have been no problem getting it right. We thought its their first mistake and left it but this time I thought we will just let them know but even before we explain they were so defensive. Hope it gets better in future.

Twice I've ordered here and twice my kebab had no salad why oh why who's has kebab with no salad - should be box saying bloody salad

The food is good, my orders have always been right, however the delivery is shocking and the staff can be very rude if you ring up and ask where your food is especially if you have already paid for it!! The food has taken over an hour to be delivered on more then one occasion, that being said the delivery drivers are nice and polite.

Literally the worsrt takeaway we ever had, 1hr late, when we called the shop every time they told us delivery was 2 mins away…. Hour later ir arriv s, cold and uneatable

Ordered small kebab meat and chips, but a small handful of chips was a bit mean in comparison to what we normally get, can hardly see the chips under the kebab meat. We asked for mayonnaise to be served separate as was sharing meal and only 1 of us likes it. Food was absolutely smothered in mayo including the separate salad, which we tried to separate from the mayo. Hardly ate any of it despite spooning off as much as possible. Ended up at local chippy, very disappointed as usually good.

I orderd food through Deliveroo and my order never arrived! It said it was delivered when it never was and there was no driver near my house. Very bad customer service and very disappointed. I never got my money back of 30£

Stopped for a cheeky burger on the way home from the pub.... I was a little tipsy, but from what I remember it was really good value for a 1/4lb cheese burger and we would definitely recommend

I just ordered from golden kebab house for the first time through Uber eats after seeing it had good reviews. My order a diner kebab with mayo, cheesy chips and a kebab wrap. Our food arrived within 20 minutes so very fast service however when the food arrived the doner kebab was stone cold and the chips where cold and stale. We attempted to contact the store directly and report the problem asking for another kebab as we questioned good safety if the food arrived very quickly and was cold we believed it was not freshly prepared. We did not ask for new chips as we were happy to microwave them despite paying £15 for this order with NHS discount. The response we received from the store owner was appalling , calling me bro on the phone shouting as staff saying it was freshly prepared there is no way it could be cold. Trying to keep the situation calm I stayed I’d be happy to bring the product in so he could see for himself and that I’d be happy to collect the food myself this time for him to continue raising his voice shouting that UberEats takes 50% of Shia profit and it’s their issue and not his. This situation could have been handled far better from the stores end, no offer of a refund or apology. Will definitely not be returning. Ridiculous you can spend money on food which is inedible and get screamed at by the owner as if I made the food 😂. Avoiding in future

Used to be a big fan of this place. I think it was taken over by new owners not too long ago. Prices have since gone up and some of the previous deals have been discarded entirely. Nonetheless I’ve ordered a few times from here in recent months and wanted to give them a fair go. Anyway, deliveries are literally always late, most recently by 50 minutes. Food is always lukewarm and the quality of the kebabs are not what they used to be (I’m convinced it’s old kebab that’s just reheated). I normally use their own app to place orders but my best advice is to use UberEats, it cost marginally more but delivered by a third party so you’ll get your food on time. All in all, it’s not the worst kebab shop I’ve ever ordered from but it’s far from the best. With so much choice in the local area, you should try the other takeaways and kebab shops before you settle for Golden.

Waited over a hour for the food after 30mins arrival time...rang up they said it on it way..40mins later still no food rang back up didn't want 5onoffer a refund or any food..shame as I've been using theses for years but last time very ill use them....bad service bad attitude on the phone to...now I got 2 kids that I got feed....avoid at all costs Update on the refund side.... Ordered a large Mexican hot pizza, after eating two slices I was about to go for another slice and I took a bite and some toppings came off. I then found black hairs 🤮!! I then checked the rest of the pizza to find another black hair on a piece of red pepper. Definitely do not recommend! I have also been sick not long after eating the pizza.

I've been using them for several months now, started by phoning up and then using their own app. Golden kebab, , you need to have someone take a look your app, it's got bugs. I was going around in circles and I almost went somewhere else for my food because of that. I have just ordered via just eat, simple, straight forward ordering. I've kept the stars at 5 due to the quality of the food and the service I've received previously.

Very poor timing. Waited 2hr plus for delivery! When phoning after 1hr20 minutes they told me my order was out for delivery. After calling again 20 minutes later they said my order was in the kitchen. The first person obviously told me what I wanted to hear!! Absolute lies. I would not recommend this place

Me and my partner ordered our food at 8 and the food was with us not long after. The delivery driver was kind enough to bring it up to our door (were top floor with no lift so really appreciate that), the food was great, large portions and great value for money.

Really stingy on sauces and salad. Paid £8.50 for a large kebab and they put the smallest amount of sauce and chilli Peppers on. When I asked for more the guy just looked offended. Advice to owners let the paying customer have as much sauce and chilli sauce they want!

Quality of food poor compared to other takeaways.

It was good ! I went myself and ordered fries and chicken sheesh (large) with chilli sauce = £7 and I was full. Service friendly with an ok wait time. They’re obviously busy with phone orders. It’s on a busy road and parking was a pain (had to park on a side street). Would use again as the FOOD was tasty!

We pretty much ordered every week from Golden kebab house during lockdown. Absolutely lovely people in there, great meals and quick delivery times. Only gripe is they always forget our cans of drink even when I make a point of asking them to remember, but it's no big deal as the food is always so lovely.

I've ordered from 'Golden Kebab' many times without any issues. Today, however, the food was disgusting. I ordered the 'Kingswood Special', it arrived in good time. The lamb and chicken shish were both stinking and rancid. I tasted both and they tasted disgusting. I won't be ordering from here again, and actually feel sick and ill having tried to eat the rest of my food

I ordered through just eat. And God dam is was the best food I've eaten from a take away in a long long time first time ordering and will now be making them my regular takeaway. I had lamb shish and partner had chicken fillet burger everything was cooked perfectly arrived in quick time and staff were very polite..

Ordered off of the website - chicken shish with cheesy chips. Asked for all the salad. It has turned up with no salad, I have phoned to ask where my salad is and been told it’s my fault there’s no salad and basically tough. I have the order confirming salad. Awful rude customer service would never order from here again

Will never order again from here total rip off and poorest kebab I have had in years. I would not recommend you waste your hard earned money there.

Ordered two mixed doners and got two COLD (LAMB ONLY) doners, so decided to ring up the store only to be called a liar and spoken to by an argumentative member of staff. The guy called me a liar claiming I had only ordered lamb, this is the 3rd time you guys have messed up my orders and now when I ring up I was not expecting to be called a liar and spoken to with such disrespect. Very poor customer service. Last time I ordered a big bottle of coke and because they didn't bring it the guy offered us a can of coke that was his originally...🤦🏽‍♂️ unimpressed.

Ordered almost 2 hours ago, called after 50 mins to see when order would be delivered only to be told they didn't have my post code! (Yet didn't bother to call to ask for it) Got told it would take 10 mins, Called back 30 mins later to ask where it was again to be told "you rang and changed your order earlier so we need your address again" I then cancelled part of the order as 2 of the people had fallen asleep! The rest was delivered in the next 15 minutes but the order was incorrect, I asked for a mix chicken shish and Lamb doner yet ended up with chicken doner which was disgusting. Worst I've had.

Where to start, the exterior looks like it's been there since 1985, the interior isn't much better. I dread to think what the hygiene ratings are, but if it gets a surprise inspection, there's no way they're getting 4/5 starts. I mean, I expect Greece and stuff in somewhere like this, but it clearly hasn't been deep cleaned in a few weeks.... Now let's talk about the food... my kebab was dripping in Greece, like more than it should have been, The salad wasn't great, I had 1 wedge of tomato and 3 slices of cucumber, I asked for extra chilli peppers and got a total of 3... It was meant to be a large, but the equivalent of most other places small... Chilli sauce may well have been ketchup, plus I Asked for extra garlic mayo and again, portion was miniscule. 4/10 definitely will be avoided in future. Shame though, had really high hopes for it. I didn't eat the pizza myself, but that looked pretty good to me. Maybe I should have had that?

I enjoy the food from here but they always forget part of the order, drinks normally. This is always rectified but it's still annoying. I ordered 2 portions of cheesy chips 2 drinks and chilli sauce, when It arrived I had no cheese so rang back up only to speak to a very rude person who put the phone down on me, i was given a replacement within 10 mins but I do not expect rude service. Delivery driver is lovely and very apologetic cannot fault him

The delivery was extremely quick however the quality of the food was absolutely horrendous (sick face emoji)! There was a black hair infused in my re-heated chips, the chicken burger was flavourless and the bun was soggy. & not i have a stomach ache. 1000% Not ordering from here again!

I recently moved from Yate closer to the City. I fancied a kebab after a few pints and moving. This Kebab house had the best reviews on Just Eat. I ordered a Large Chilli Doner and 4 pieces of chicken. The Kebab was what you would expect, a good portion, a good chilli sauce and plenty of salad (to make yourself feel better after the kebab). The chicken wasn't the best but OK, I had one large drumsticks and three Wing type pieces with the stupid rib cage bones on them. The drumstick was OK but the others didnt have much Chicken on at all which was a shame....What chicken I did get was good though and good skin to match, and i know it is pot luck but pieces of chicken you get and after a large kebab didnt really need the chicken, just got it to make delivery. But i doubt I would get the chicken on its own or with chips as a meal...the Kebab though, can't fault. Delivery was before expected time and all food hot.

Ok, so ordered a tuna, prawn and anchovy pizza today. It had 3 old inedible prawns but the rest was ok for the price. Now.. my second part of lunch was 3 pieces of chicken. I got 2, and they looked like they'd been sat on a dry heated shelf for a week, completely disgusting. I'd try somewhere else folks.

Food was very cold I asked for mayo on my burger & got ketchup. 1 of the pizza's was burnt. I will give them a second chance but not happy with my order this time.
