Staff are super friendly and food is amazing

I placed an order from Deliveroo. All the food was spoilt as something had leaked. The driver insisted on leaving the food with me and it leaked all over the carpet. How difficult is it to secure something properly? All the bags and containers were split open. Absolutely disgusting!

Some weirdly bitter reviews for this place! Been coming here on and off for years, the food’s always been decent.

How can you not give this place 5/5 stars, the customer service particularly is fantastic. The lady I spoke on the phone too, thank you so much!!! Go in person guys

Quite possibly the worst Chinese takeaway I’ve ever had. The chow mein was far too watery, hardly no meat in the mixed meat dish and it was just all swimming in water. The chicken balls were okay, just far too greasy and thick.

I genuinely do think that might’ve been the worst takeaway I’ve ever had in my entire life. I called up and ordered then went the shop to collect it, I should’ve had a clue by the very sad looking goldfish,that the food wasn’t going to be that great. Unfortunately, my hunger took the best of me and I dived in hoping for an authentic Chinese experience.. I didn’t get authentic Chinese experience. Maybe a local prison in China would serve food like this but I don’t think on the streets of Shanghai you’re getting anything like this. It was so bad, the food was so bad. Every single thing I ordered was terrible noodles terrible and flavourless undercooked squid spring undercooked yet somehow over fried spring rolls flavourless ribs, The soup is just awful overall. just a terrible experience. I didn’t think you could get food this bad anymore, not in this day and age but you definitely can and it’s from here. Please don’t go here if you like yourself. Please don’t go here if you want to make lasting memories of your loved ones. I would recommend if you’re having a particularly heated debate about a last will and testament your involved in with a distant aunt? Sincerely I hope this a front for a heroine operation because if this business is hoping to survive if its food it should be closed down immediately

I am not sure why some reviews are so harsh. My girlfriend and I love the food from here and order it regularly. The honey chili crispy beef is delicious, as is the chow mein and many other dishes. The price is reasonable and the people are friendly.

I ordered Chicken Chow mein and chips. The chips were hard and stale with hard black bits over them They were hardly warm. The Chow mein noodles were nice but the chicken was disgusting. It was all fat. Needless to say I hardly ate anything

A low-key little takeaway shop with dim lights and a relaxing vibe about it, Golden Eagle is a nice place to grab traditional Chinese food with plenty of options and cheap prices. The staff there were really kind, throwing some fortune cookies into our bag and not taking long at all in cooking our food. The food itself was nice, the chow mein and rice were of good quality but the vegetables used were a bit of a let down and quite watery. I would have hoped for slightly better quality food but I would go here again for the cheap price.

We ordered takeaway from here through Deliveroo. After a long wait they phoned to say they'd cancelled the order because of a "mix-up" and refunded us. They didn't even offer us the choice to receive the meal late, they just said we'd have to order it again. Needless to say it's now being ordered from a different restaurant.

Awful food, I ordered the ginger and spring onion chicken dish and my partner ordered the satay chicken. The chicken was rubbery, the worst chicken I've ever had in my life. There was also nothing satay about the sauce as it looked and tasted like they came up with something random on the spot and couldn't even be bothered to tell us that they didn't have satay sauce. My partner and I also had bad stomachs the next day which proves that the ingrediants were low quality and probably undercooked. It was very expensive for what it was, do yourself a favour and order from somewhere else. Wouldn't even leave them 1 star.

Worst tasting food Iv ever had… chow mein had almost a cups worth of liquid to strain off it, no taste at all was just mush.. and all the containers weren’t closed so all the sauce from other dishes had soaked to the bottom of the bag

I totally recommend getting food from the golden eagle. You will find the same stuff as other Chinese restaurants in the area. However, it is remarkably cooked with more passion. Also, The prices are ok and the staff are friendly.

Really tasty food. Clean and tidy shop. Waited five minutes for food too cook. Good service.

I don’t know how they find it ok to sell this slop and be happy with it. The chow mien was slimy, the sauce for the ribs was also slimy and tasteless, I can’t even be bothered to list all the issues with the rest of it. My partner spent £50+ on a load of inedible food. We feel scammed to be honest.

DO NOT RECOMMEND My partner and I have had takeaways from you in the past but will now stop coming in. We kept seeing the small dirty fish tank on the counter top and its really upsetting. Its too small, unclean and it has no plants or anything else fish need. We've spoken to staff in the hope that it would be changed and give the fish a better quality of life but nothing has improved. If it stays the same we wont use your business again and several friends said they have already stopped ordering food from you.

Says they give free cake and crackers with orders over £25 and got nothing

The food , ooo the food where do i start , first of all , the spicy ribs , caramelised to perfection , moving on to my beloved tom yum , subtil and balanced , then the duck , tender and swimming in flavor . The staff in 2 words : professional and efficient . a culinary journey never to be forgotten , a big yes from me

Was the worst Chinese food myself and daughter have ever had. The chicken from the chicken chow mein was the worst chicken I have ever tried to bite. It was chewy and tough. The sauce lacked flavour. It came with two black mushrooms and 2 massive watery broccolis!? Lots of lettuce leaves? Hardly no bean sprouts. The crispy chill beef was flavourless and dull. Even the prawn crackers were hard. I didn’t feel comfortable eating any once I tried it so I took it ALL back and they kindly gave me a refund. I think if your used to really nice Chinese food this place will never ever live up your expectations. Shame, as it’s my local :(

Been to quite a few chinese takeaways around Fishponds/Kingswood and this one was the best for me.

So I decided to give my self a little treat, I pre-ordered my meal in the morning, I waited like 2 hours! The food is ok, nothing special. Also you guys really need to brush up on you customers service skills, I had a rude yuck mouth with a nasty attitude called me, because I ordered the same food twice! I explained to her that I made a mistake ordering the same thing twice! Her attitude was very nasty and disgusting!!

very poor. ordered at half 7 and they stated it would be with me no later than 9. It arrived at 9:40. dont order from here, food is poor, staff are unhelpful, and delivery is the worst.
