Go Gos is one of our favourite restaurants. We love the food, always received great service and the marina location is beautiful. Today's visit was no exception. My wife and I dined at lunch and had Salt and Peppar Squid and Baked Camembert for starters and the half rack of Ribs and Piri Piri Chicken espetadas for mains. We had no room left for desert so just had coffee. Service was excellent and the food well cooked and presented. One small gripe and although we did not mention this to the staff we were sat close to the entrance and it was a little cold, not uncomfortably so but I did leave my jacket on throughout. Had it not been for this the score for ambiance would have been higher. We would have preferred a table in the main dining area.

It was perfect for a birthday brunch. Service was fast and super friendly. Have always loved the setting, ambiance & decor. We were all very happy with our meals.

Outstanding food, we were the only ones in at 4pm on a weds. The chips were to die for. Very friendly staff, couldn't do enough for us.

Our experience at GOGOs was wonderful. The table service was great and the food was even better! We were very well taken care of. The biltong was chef's kiss, we also had steak, ribs, onion rings and chicken wings. Our chef was Roney, and he did a fantastic job. We will definitely be returning.

Never been so disappointed with food before. For how much we were paying for it, it was not worth it. No one came round to check if the food was okay. Small portions, big prices.

Stood for ages at the front waiting to be seated. Ribs were really burnt on half of it. Food was OK. We didn't order super expensive or loads of drinks and I felt £220 for 4 people was a lot, especially when the food was OK. Don't think I'll be going back. Felt a little embarrassed I told my family it was a great place to come and I felt a little let down.

The food was tasty although the meat was as only lukewarm Maybe it had been standing in the kitchen For a longer period whilst we ate our starters Food definitely needs to be hotter. The only other negative was we were celebrating my wife’s 60th birthday and the restaurant refused to either provide a birthday cake or let us bring one along. This restaurant needs to be more flexible and have more consideration for customer needs.

Best Calamari I have had. Has to be my favourite restaurant. The food, service and ambiance is outstanding. Gogos always gives you a great dining experience.

Had a table for 6 booked for lunch today (Christmas eve) and it didn’t disappoint!! Food was great!! Service was great!! Such a lovely location, usually really good but on this occasion the food was disappointing. Espetatas are a go to dish for me but they seem to have cranked up the heat on the marinade, the chicken was dry and chips lying in fat. My friends fish and chips were average, but the wine and service were good. Disappointingly empty for the Saturday before Christmas, so surprised the food wasn’t good.

Excellent food, service and atmosphere in a fantastic location. Extra points for being dog friendly and allowing my to bring my dog as I was staying in an Air B&B and couldn’t leave her there alone. I love this restaurant and always visit when in the area, ribs are amazing!

Amazing meal..beautiful place and the fire and twinkly lights made it feel lovely and Christmasy. Food was great and that Malva Pudding was to die for!! The only thing we said was it would be great to have at least one hot pudding (not Sorbet) to be on offer for us Lactose intolerant/Vegan eaters, how about a Malva Pudding made from non dairy butter with Vegan Vanilla ice-cream!? :-)

Thank you we had a nice meal, however we were in the walkway & frozen by the door keep opening & staying open when not closed properly, we has to keep coats on. Also the lighting in this area was not at all ambient & very unforgiving. altogether this made the evening busy & unrelaxed. However the servers were friendly & accommodating.

This was a very pleasant restaurant. Decor was tastefully done and the ambience was wonderful. Relaxing music playing xmas tunes and service was perfect. Attentive but not annoyingly so. Food was outstanding. The chef definitely knows how to cook. We went for a works department meal and were glad we chose this venue. I will be coming back with my husband very soon. Thank you making us so welcome - we had a great time :O)

GOGO’s is reliable, always good food and the ambiente is nice and relax. The staff do make a difference, all of them which shows the quality of leadership and team management. Highly recommend

What an amazing find. We went in November but I imagine it is just beautiful in the summer. The food was fantastic, really well cooked and presented and good proportions and the menu was interesting and different. I absolutely loved it and will be back again as soon as I can! A hidden gem.

The food was lovely. I had the brisket. It was delish We all had the Malva for desert. It was just as good if not Better than our sticky toffee pudding. Much lighter and the sauce/custard was much runnier so it soaked in to the pud. The staff are friendly and can’t do enough for you. Will definitely return.

Has a lovely setting by the river. The interior is lovely. The service was poor. The restaurant was half empty waited 20 minutes for our drinks. The food was expensive had a lamb skewer. The lamb was tough. Asked for some mint sauce said they didn't have any yet the lamb was marinated in mint sauce. Won't be rushing back!

I am a vegetarian and I really only look at the veggie options on a menu so cannot comment on the breakfast menu as a whole but there are several excellent veggie options here. This time I had the avocado on sourdough with two poached eggs and it was absolutely delicious. The last time I came I had the eggs Florentine which was lovely too. I think the hot drinks are quite expensive at £3.70 each. That is a lot of money for tea but the coffee is of very high quality so is probably worth it. The outlook over the marina and the river at GoGos is beautiful and the ambience is nice.

The food was good overall. Vegan burger just okay - chips were yummy, fish and chips was lovely, meat sharing platter was okay (small for price), beef short rib really good, brownie was lovely. Dishes were quite expensive, so not great value for money. But we enjoyed our food and would go back because of the service and atmosphere. The atmosphere was excellent. The service was excellent. Our waiter was attentive without making us feel rushed. It was lovely to be on the marina and although the chairs in the restaurant could be more comfortable, we had a lovely lunch in a relaxed and pretty place.

Delicious and tasty breakfast, a variety of choice, good portions, freshly prepared . Relaxed environment, great friendly table service, clean inviting well laid out with great views of the marina and Windsor race course. Highly recommend.

The passionfruit martini, food and wine list are all very good. The portion sizes are healthy, so order accordingly. I found the price to be a little on the high side, everything considered. Having said that, I am sure we will go back for certain occasions. The staff are incredibly friendly, kind and fun.

The location is great. The service was excellent. Charlotte was very nice. I think the food was average and quite expensive.

We had a very enjoyable lunch at Gogos today. The ladies shared the camenbert starter while the gents had the boerie starter. All very good. 2 burgers and chips, 2 rib eye steaks and 2 racks of spare ribs. All very yummy. Malva pudding was amazing. Large portion. Thoroughly enjoyed everything.

The cocktails were watery did not taste original and noticed too much ice is put very poor in that regard .

Been a few times before so we expected great food. The service was excellent and corrected a couple things without any issue. The food was mainly good and enjoyable just not in the excellent range we had before.

While there was nothing particularly wrong with GOGOS in equal measure there wasn't anything special in the food, location, or ambiance. The staff were lovely and welcoming, there are just better places for quality food.

Lovely restaurant for a weeknight dinner catch up. We always have lovely food here and great service. I have been for brunch on weekends too and it is amazing. Great cocktail selection, lovely coffee, and amazing food !

A very relaxed lunch with friends. Excellent service and delicious food. I normally have the big skewer kebab things but the slow cooked beef brisket was outstanding. A great menu with a real South African bent. We will be back. Again.

We always enjoy Gogos restaurant but we had very slow service and the wind was blowing really hard and letting in a fairly cold hard breeze and flapping canvas. Having asked , the very nice young man said he could not do anything. I think this should be checked befor guests arrive. Otherwise we had a good evening. Thank you.

Been coming for many years and had a lot of special celebrations at GoGos this was by far the worst meal we ever had there friends travelled 2 hours for our get together and I was embarrassed seeing their meal ! Where has that little bit extra to make the food appetising gone barely any meat on my half rack of ribs and the whole rack half the size they used to be fish and chips looked so dried up soggy batter and fish seemed to have disappeared inside I could go on but as we didn’t want to make a fuss in front of our friends we didn’t but worth saying as we’re do disappointed

This is the first time I'd been to GoGo's and it won't be the last. We were greeted with smiles from when walked in, to when we left. All the staff were very happy, helpful and welcoming. The food was exceptional, the customer service was also excellent.

Be warned that if you're not a large table or don't apear to be affluent, you're quite unlikely to get much attention from the staff. Even if it's your anniversary. Food was tasty albeit a tad pricey, to be expected of the location. Previously, they had some South African staples which have been dropped from the menu - monkey gland sauce and melktart, quite a shame.

We went for my daughter’s birthday breakfast. The food was great, however as it was a nice sunny day the restaurant was quite busy and the service was fairly slow. But would definitely still return.

Booked for a wedding anniversary meal. The service from start to finish was poor! The staff seemed to be concentrating on people sat in the outside area. The main restaurant was pretty empty and neglected. The food, when it arrived was tasty. Waiting staff were few and far between, and we had to go up and ask for a drink at one point! After we'd finished our meal, no one took the plates and no dessert or coffees were offered!!! .unheard of. So we just paid and left...annoyingly in our haste, I'm sure a service charge was included. Nice meal but really disappointing service.

I had to give everything 5 stars I have the two most minor critiques. 1st being the chairs which felt really big and being sat in the corner infornt of a rail gave very little leg room ( honestly wasn't that bad) second I had the ribs and so did a friend we both found a few to many bone fragments but my friend said it was probably the way/the tool that was used for cutting the ribs saying that a bone saw was the better way to go. Honestly everything else was amazing staff were smiling and happy food from starters to main was phenomenal. Also as I am South African I must say it was really nice having a castle. My compliments to the chef on the cauliflower bites and the ribs the rest of the food from the other 3 members of my table also got a massive thumbs up. It takes thirty minutes to drive from my house to gogos so I wasn't sure at the start of the evening if we were ever going to do it again but after last night I'd WALK just to have another meal there. We will definitely be back soon!

A planned and very much looked forward to lunch left us feeling underwhelmed. The menu was amazing ( we had already chosen before we arrived) we had already also recommended the place to our South African friends before arrival as the photos and menu looked fabulous. Unfortunately, as we have found in other places over the summer, the service was way under par. We waited ages to be seated even though we had a reservation, I had to find someone to seat us in the end. We waited ages for someone to take our order , again I had to coax someone over. The restaurant was not understaffed but full of students and teenagers badly managed hanging around not really doing their job. In the catering trade myself and having 2 teenage daughters who work in hospitality whilst at uni , the staff need to managed and trained better. One was walking around with an iced coffee whilst we were without drinks. I think when the customers feel like they’re in the way and not welcomed as we did, they tend not to return regardless of how amazing the food is.

First time visiting for summer evening dinner. Was packed for a Tuesday evening but atmorsphere was great and food was superb. Staff very very polite and obliging. Definitiely going back.

First time we have visited this place. Drove over an hour to meet family. Very awkward to find and park. Restaurant felt very tightly packed in with tables, and not much room to move. We were a party of 7 and the service was awful. Everything was very slow and we spent a lot of time waiting. We were never asked if we would like more drinks, if the food was ok. We had to constantly try to make eye contact with someone in order to try and get a drink, or order food. Some of the waiters were rude, and one had an attitude problem, making us feel uncomfortable. Once ordered they even forgot one of our parties food so we had to wait until they made it before we could start, meaning our food was getting cold. When it did come out there was no apology. The food was overpriced for what we recieved. The chicken was extremely dry, the steak over cooked. These dishes also don’t come with any accompaniments and if you want a bit of salad with your steak for example you have to order this as a separate dish. I can’t see how they can charge over £20 for just a chicken breast and chips. Drinks were also overpriced, and as in a previous review this place has a captive audience because of where it is.

Unfortunately the service was poor. I had to go up 3 times during our experience. The lamb was over cooked and a little dry. The hummus with pitta was one slice of pitta only and we were charge £2.50 for an extra piece. This was our second visit but overall a poor experience compared to the first .

We had a lovely evening, restaurant called during the day to see if we were still happy with outdoor tent table as the weather wasn’t looking great, service was great and staff friendly, it was mums birthday and they presented her desert with a happy birthday message and candle! Food was amazing and lots of it! Would definitely recommend and will be returning

The location, the scenery and the overall atmosphere is amazing. Absolutely love going to this restaurant. Few slight issues such as extra menu and table water not coming when asking the staff, especially because it wasn’t overly busy when we visited, and the warm bread starter was actually toast. Other than that the mains were incredible (though the chips were a little overdone) and I would recommend to anyone wanting to eat at a nice restaurant. The issues we had are something we have not experienced the other three times visiting so hopefully just a one off. All servers are extremely friendly as well, which adds to the experience. As a side note, it would be good to have more vegetarian and vegan options, as there were only 2 mains to pick from. The vegan burger was incredible but would be nice to have some choice.

We were a party of 6. Service was awful Chicken was very dry Coconut and crayfish salad was mostly coconut and lettuce , hardly any fish. Beef burger was over cooked and dry. Have been to gogos many times before and it’s been really good but this time the food and service was awful. We had friends with us that travelled from London so we wanted to take them somewhere nice but gogos was very disappointed. Reluctant to return now.

I booked a table for dinner for a special occasion, for a birthday. However it took so long for us to be asked if we would like to order a drink, it was a very long wait until we were asked if we could order a drink which wasn't a great start. Then it was a very long wait for both food and drinks. Our starters arrived before our drinks had even arrived, which wasn't ideal at all. I also put a note on my reservation to state that it was for a special occasion for a birthday- but nothing was organised or brought out to celebrate the birthday not even a small dessert which I'm very disappointed about. Food However was the only part of this meal which did not disappoint. Service was awful and very delayed.

Felt a little bit let down this time as we've been before and really enjoyed GOGOs but we will definitely go back again for a lunch - beautiful location on a warm summer's day. We were a table of two dining on a Wednesday night to celebrate a birthday. The food was tasty (it is expensive), we both had the chicken skewers and the staff are really nice, super polite and smiley. We had to ask to place a drinks order after 10 mins or so as no one came over, no great drag, but we only ordered two pints of beer and then had to chase those up as they hadn't appeared almost 15 mins later. Food probably took about 40 mins to come out which we felt was a bit slow. There was a drunk guest who seemed like a friend of the bar staff or off-shift employee rudely and loudly harassing the bar staff intermittently all night. The main restaurant area was deafening loud, but good atmosphere if you're looking for lively.
