Menu was very fancy and good was presented beautifully. I would just say there was a lack of regular food. Also a severe lack of vegetarian food. Service was very quick and environment was gorgeous. Staff were lovely, the shop was tidy and presented lovely. The extravagance of the menu and lack of vegetarian options was a little disappointing though

I visited the coffee shop on Friday with my elderly mum and 2 grandsons - one of whom is autistic. The service by Tom was exceptional, my grandson is very particular and will only go to places he knows because when it comes to eating foods and drinking hot chocolate they have to be served "his way". He had placed his order to Tom with my help however we weren't explaining correctly, his hot chocolate must have frothy bit then the sprinkles with the marshmallows on the side - Tom took note and promised he would bring it out. Oh the plain scone had to be served with 2 butters. Tom you are an excellent staff member and the coffee shop is very lucky to have you, you came back to check he was happy with his order and you did all this with the biggest smile 😃. My husband and I visited today - so I could have a more relaxing cuppy in peace and yes I saw Tom and thanked him. When paying the bill today it was Mrs Gloagburn who was serving and I expressed my feelings about Tom (that how I learned his name), she asked me to leave a review and thanked me for my comments. Food is always so good here, it is a treat to come but so worth it. Today it was breakfast and my goodness the eggs benedict were out of this world tasty. Thank you for such good service.

I visited this dog friendly establishment today with my family and our rescue dog that we are trying to socialise. We thought it would be a nice place to take him because you can sit outside and have something to eat while introducing the dog to a new environment. The dog did get excited at times and barked at other dogs and people who came to see him, the young girls and boys who were serving us thought he was a lovely dog. Unfortunately some people in the restaurant objected to his barking and we were asked to leave by the management. We had just received our food, which was very nice but was spoilt because we had to rush it. It makes me think the management prefer the clientele in the restaurant over dog lovers. The two stars I have awarded are for the friendly staff and food.👎

Not cheap, but a cut above many farm shops, with tasty selection of soups, sandwiches, cakes and treats. Well stocked gift shop with something for every style and taste, including books, clothing, toiletries, and jewellery. Food, produce, deli, sweet and savoury gift foods - everything you could hope for at a Perthshire Farm Shop! Also a fast zip line outside to entertain bigger children and let off steam between drives, so good stop if going much further up the A9.

This farm shop is well worth the short deviation from the A9 . The food is always delicious and the farm shop is well stocked with interesting items. The non food items are always interesting as well although I would like to see more Scottish products rather than nice but Chinese things.

Each element of the cooked breakfasts was cold. This was mentioned to staff. When the plate was brought back, the waiter confirmed that the eggs had been reheated in the pan rather than cooking fresh eggs. The eggs were also very charred. The link sausages, when brought back, had been cut lengthways. Upon receiving the bill for the full amount, I politely pointed out that breakfasts were cold and not finished as a result. The response received was that all other tables in the farm shop enjoyed their breakfast. One of the owners asked a member of staff if she recognised me because she had not seen me in the restaurant before... how peculiar. I do not understand the relevancy of such a question whether it be a long-standing customer or a new customer. I found the customer service, particularly at this point, poor. The drinks were later deducted from the bill. The overall staff morale appeared very low.

Not dog friendly, first thing you see is a big notice on the shop door that dogs are not welcome inside, fair enough as food on sale but cant understand why no dogs in the cafe, they seem to be allowed with you outside in little wooden huts, very depressing and unwelcoming. Breakfast was good - the kids pancakes were awesome, Mediterranean eggs were ok - maybe hollandaise and the tomato didn't go that well. What put this review from a 4 to a 3 was the general attitude of the staff. No smile. When I walked in we thought my kid and said "morning" to someone at the door, they barely acknowledged me. Staff went through motions in the cafe, asked the right questions but had no spark or smile. I'm the gift shop, the lady on the till was passive aggressive because I interrupted her "sorting" to buy some of their overpriced stuff.

Stocks a variety of products, has a butcher & nice frozen goods - it is very expensive & is clean, slightly remote location. Main reason am rating as three star is due to the cost; if you want to buy a gift such as a jug of olive oil for £25 or a scarf for £88 this is an ideal place. The cafe sells sandwiches for around £10. As a consequence of the prices it attracts an older crowd.

We adore this place for food/dining, but sadly is becoming too expensive and the portions smaller and smaller as you will see in my photo! smallest amount of salmon on one potato pancake, the other had a poached egg? £13-95 The shop is also very expensive, example a baby muslin with cow motif £24 I bought the same one at Blair Castle which I also thought overpriced for £20 Boxes of chocolates are roughly at least £1 cheaper or more elsewhere. Although the food is really good, we won't rush back for the above reasons.

As a someone with a wheat allergy, I was disappointed with the lack of wheat free options. Particularly on the fairly long specials menu (there were none bar the soup) . I asked the waitress to check a couple of possibles in the main menu, which, despite looking potentially wheat free (though not marked so) were not. I ended up ordering a half portion of soup, and a gluten free sandwich. When they arrived I got a full portion of soup, along with regular (not gf) bread. Which the waitress then removed but did not substitute for gf. A requested glass of water did not appear, along with requested salad dressing. The food that I did have was, however, excellent, very tasty. And the restaurant was very busy and the staff very young. However, requiring wheat free is not a fad, and my allergy can be severe, so I feel strongly that the staff need some coaching in the importance of getting it right. I did complain when paying, and was grateful for a reduction in the cost, however I won't be back and wouldn't recommend to anyone with food intolerances.

Had daily special Bruschetta with Halloumi, Bruschetta was very dry, hard and crisp. Disappointed that the cheese scone was a scone with cheese on top, don't think there was cheese in the scone. On a very good note the teapot was a decent size. Farm shop is worth a look.

Found this farm shop in a book of off the road places to stop. It is in a great location, has a play area for the kids and reasonable parking space. The café had a wait for a table but once seated, the order was taken quickly and the food arrived very shortly after the drinks. The price of the food and drink is what causes me to mark the venue down - we ordered the bruschetta and got two small slices with hardly any cheese and basically salad - £12.95?! Other dishes with chicken and seafood where either same price or a £1 more but I didn’t see their size. Kids offer was more reasonable in price but both kids didn’t eat theirs as they didn’t like the cheese or the ham - needs to be more simple and soft bread. Great for a coffee and cake treat - but even then it would still come out around £10 a head. Farm shop itself also on the expensive side of things - so although I would like to say I would be back to support a local business - I can’t afford to.
