I love this place, I come here often whether it’s just for drinks or for food. The burgers are tremendous and the service is second to none even given the COVID situation. Nothing is too much bother for any of the staff!Please, if you’re ever near, call in as you won’t be disappointed.

We were in this place on Friday and the food was so nice and the staff were lovely and friendly always on the ball will be back again

Dropped in for lunch , waited over 25mins for our starter which was salt and chilli chicken .It was overpowered with salt and totally ruined the taste of our main meal . The staff were so unattentive didnt ask if starter or main were okay seemed to be too busy looking after another table.We werent asked if we wanted a sweet menu either . Totally disappointed

Taking advantage of the eat out scheme, 4 of us went and had an excellent experience. We were greeted and informed of the service rules, track and trace number taken, and shown to a clean and sanitised table. Drinks orders were taken promptly and delivered not long after, food orders were taken at the same time. We ordered a salt and chilli combo started for 2, more than enough for the 4 of us to have a bite, burgers and curry, my rodeo burger was and the bites I had of everyone else’s were amazing. Highly recommend and will be back at full price. All staff were aware and consciously following safety guidelines and were still attentive and friendly

Fantastic place. I stop here on bike rides from Glasgow sometimes, and it's always a pleasure. Staff are absolutely lovely, and they make you feel very welcome. Place is well laid out, one way system and screens all in place, and there's a great choice of drinks. I wish this was my local, it's a great place.

I hate to sound like a snob but when we pulled up here we thought it would be a bit naff. In actual fact the food was amazing! We had creamy Cajun chicken pasta and the New York stacker burger and they were both lovely. Very hot. Friendly staff and quick service. The price is decent, not the cheapest type of pub food you can get (e.g. at a hungry horse or something similar) but worth it as the food was so much nicer.

We were seated and order drinks and food. Were waiting forever. while staff continued to ignore us for more drinks even after going to bar to be told it’s table service and other tables seated after us were enjoying there food while we were still waiting for only some snacks as well as drinks and the staff continued to be very rude even when we decided to leave and had to go up to the bar once again to pay.The worst part is the majority of customers where outside and they were in same situation. While staff were inside which was empty but were continuing pretend to be busy.Slightly felt embarrassed for them.Do not recommend, unless you want shocking table service and to be completely disrespected by rude staff.

I booked a table for me my wife, daughter and I in the Glen Lusset Restaurant. On arrival we were directed to a seat, there after told we were in the incorrect seat and moved. In my absence my daughter ordered me a drink which was never brought back. When I sat down I was asked if I wanted a drink, I then ordered a bottle of Corona (to which my daughter had previously ordered), this came without any fruit added as it should be. My wife ordered a Gin and Tonic, again without any fruit added, these drinks should be served with fruit. I asked if I could have some but was quickly told that they don’t do fruit. One of the main reasons we went to the Glen Lusset was due to the fact we seen that they were listed as a participant in the Eat Out To Help Out promotion by the UK Government on their website, only when we had to pay the bill we found out this was not the case. We then queried why this was advertised online but not honoured to which we were told that someone new had bought the restaurant over and they might not get the money back. On the whole a very disappointing experience after years of custom we feel let down. I would find it difficult to go back again based on my experience, being local to the site, being from the area, I am always keen to support local businesses but will very considerate next time, we left and headed over to the Twisted Thistle to continue our evening out, with Fruit added

The food is so fresh and cooked perfectly, the staff are the most attentive I've met. Great local pub. So happy it's now re opened.

Myself and 2 cyclist friends stopped off here for bite to eat and our FIRST post-lockdown pint! Very well organised and nice welcome. Sat outside, table service was great, food superb and pints in a GLASS!!!! Keep up the good work guys!

Don't often write reviews but this was excellent and my first visit to The Glen Lusset. The staff were really friendly and helpful and doing a great job! (especially in the current pandemic situation). I was a cyclist with 2 other cyclists and we ate in the nice garden / decking area at the back over looking the canal. The table service was friendly and efficient and the food was lovely. Great to get a nice cold pint of Tennents. All in all excellent! Keep up the good work! : )

We decided to have Christmas lunch out as we were visiting our daughter and her fiancé from Essex.They live in Old Kilpatrick so The Glen Lusset was a perfect choice, the food was lovely and the staff were so friendly.I opted for the lentil and bacon soup which was really tasty, the others all had haggis Bon bons and everyone said they were delicious.Mains included a turkey dinner and lamb chops both were a a hit and the desserts were gorgeous.Really good value for money , we never felt rushed and we all agreed we’d do it again .Merry Christmas and a happy new year.

I have been here quite a few times with my family & friends on different occasions. Staff are always very friendly & attentive, the food has always been great & the child menu is also fab. Definitely recommend to family’s & for a night with friends/drinks

my son who lives in London was visiting and he wanted to treat us to dinner before leaving for the airport - as the Glen Lusset was on route we decided to come here . I am not usually a fan of pub grub but this was definitely the exception - I had the most perfect rib eye steak . The staff were lovely and very efficient - Speaks for itself that at 5.30 pm on a Monday - it was busy . One to visit again

We went to the Glen Lusset last night for my dads 65th birthday. The staff were so attentive and the food was amazing. You can tell everything is cooked to order as it was so fresh. We had steak and the quality was 100%. Angie and her team ensured that we had a great time and we can’t wait to come back. Thanks again!

First time eating at the glen lusset. Very busy when we arrived as it was Saturday night but we luckily got a table right away. Good choice of food and not too over priced. Service was fast and staff were lovely. Would definitely eat here again. I’m not vegetarian or vegan but I know people that are and noticed there wasn’t a lot of choice for that food group. If ur planning to eat there over the weekend then definitely Book a table as a lot of people had to wait up to 50 mins for table while I was there.

Ordered steakpie without looking at menu ,had it 3times before always amazing, so disappointed mostly sausages and little steak this time, the waiter told me it's a new menu and it's steak and sausage now, anyway paid full price, staff took note, and were very pleasant , if you like sausages rather than steak you may enjoy this , hope you change it back

Recently discovered this gem of a place really friendly staff good choice of drinks and the food is 1st class loved the Glen Lusset burger lol our wee dog was made welcome with a bowl of water and some dog biscuits! Great place!

Had family members visiting from England and was looking for somewhere in Clydebank area for an evening meal. Friend suggested the Glen Lusset and we booked a table for a Thursday evening...and just as well as it was a very busy restaurant. The layout of the restaurant area where we ate was quite spacious and comfortable and the food was good. Not haute cuisine but certainly above "pub grub" standard with a good choice of options, including gluten free options. Prices are good and the service level is excellent and the young servers very helpful. A bit of a hidden gem for the area and only a few miles out of central Clydebank.

The Glen Lusset aka {The Lusset} is a very good pub diner for families passing through the village of old kilpatrick. The menu is varied and averaged priced, It also offers a large amount of gluten free options. I would highly recommend this pub as a place to good for a nice meal.

Popped in here today for the first time after walking over the Erskine Bridge with our adopted dog (looking after MIL dog for a few weeks) and have to say I was really impressed!!! Lovely food and great service and I loved how they were so welcoming to our wee doggies ......... fresh bowl of water brought over for our Molly with some wee dog treats too, lovely touch!! We ate in the bar area (where dogs are permitted) but full menu available. Food is freshly made to order and I was impressed with the service of food, not rushed at all ~ very relaxed but prompt service. Certainly worth a walk over the bridge for sure ;-) KK xx

The food was excellent all 4 of us enjoyed every last bit. So much so I took friend and her boy the very next week.

Walked out after sitting in the conservatory for over 30 minutes without so much as smile from any waitress. No one spoke to us, asked us for a drink order or even gave us a menu. Working in the industry myself customer service is key and when you are busy you at least explain to your table and let them know you know they haven’t been served. Real shame as food has always been great.

We came to watch the football and seeing all the food being served to the other clients we got very hungry have to say the starters didnt dissapoint have to totally recomend the salt and chilli chicken which was on the specials menu

I cannot fault the Glen Lusset at the moment , visited a couple of times now for food , the Lusset itself is a warm , welcoming pub , tasteful decor,and the manager Angie and her staff are fantastic!very accommodating and attentive to our needs and confident to recommend dishes on the menu. Our food was beautifully presented and tasted as good as it looked. Well worth a visit.

Really tasty food and pretty local to us. Decent service. Found the food a little pricy.It was lovely but for it being a local pub the price is on the high side unless you get something off the lunch menu ( smaller).

having dined here 8/2/19 I was not disappointed staff very friendly sorry could not fault the food atmosphere was good I chose the 10oz steak I was asked by friendly member of staff how I would like my steak and it was delivered the way asked for it,.the pudding was just amazing but being a bit nosey as iam lol I was also watching other meals coming out and I was saying to my wife I should have ordered that one and that one they all looked so good .was it value for money a big YES would I come again a big YES

moved to Old Kilpatrick so visited to see what food was like We were given a warm welcome and shown our seats The food was amazing only thing is you wait for ages so be prepared ! we were told this so knew and waited 30-40 mins but we keep going back as its a lovely place to eat and gets very busy! do go try out the food and the daily specials!

Went with family and had an absolutely lovely lunch. We all had different starters and mains and could not fault our choices. The staff were very attentive and cheerful.

Pleasant staff, lovely piping hot dishes, good service. Smaller plate servings for seniors which is a bonus.

We dropped in for a bite of lunch on a walk along the canal towpath. The food was lovely and we sat in the conservatory overlooking the Forth & Clyde Canal. The service was great and the food was incredibly good value for money.

Lovely gluten free fish & chips friendly staff highly recommend would advise booking a table though.

Had a creative and delicious burger from a specials menu as recommended by our waiter who was then genuinely interested in whether I was enjoying it. Would certainly stop by again if in the area!

went along on basis of a colleague recommendation and on a quick read of the positive reviews - have to say sadly my experience was nothing like what I had expected - no obvious waiting staff when we arrived and waited at the "to be seated" board - then a lady appeared and looked disappointed to see us - we were shown to a table in the conservatory and were immediately stuck with the noise level and how untidy the area was with a few tables unoccupied that had not been cleared - our drinks order was taken quick enough and drinks also brought soon - unfortunately the time from ordering food to being served was about 45 minutes - bearing in mind we only ordered classic burgers I think this was excessive - although the menu states the food is made to order the sever never came near us to update us on our wait or apologise for our wait when the food was brought - we were also never checked on at anytime. we all thought the burgers were salty or overseasoned. On finishing we asked for the bill which was eventually brought - half of our plates were never cleared away during this time. After waiting we made our way to pay at the desk. Unfortunately our experience was not a good one - if you look for attentive service in a calm environment I would avoid this establishment

Popped in for dinner. We didn’t have a table booked and despite it being really busy the owner managed to find us a table. Three of us stopped by for a late lunch and sat in the conservatory which was really nice in the sunshine. Staff put a fan on nearby incase we found it too hot which was very considerate. Great menu choices and 2 of us opted for the Glen Lusset Burger and the other one chose Cajun Chicken Pasta. The food arrived in good time and all meals were very good indeed. The burger was enormous - make sure you are hungry and have a good appetite for this one - burger, bacon, black pudding and smoked cheese. Struggled towards the end but it was too good to leave any. The pasta was a good plateful and was very tasty. - served with a slice of garlic bread. We had a couple of drinks each and the bill was reasonable. I would definitely recommend the Glen Lusset. Good food, good environment and lovely staff.

Having visited the Glenlusset previously we had high expectations of a lovely lunch. We weren't disappointed. We previously ate in the popular conservatory but chose to sit in the main building overlooking the peaceful canal below the trees at the rear. It's a pleasant and relaxing setting.

A hidden gem below Erskine bridge. Great meal great staff. All the makings of a place for a relaxing lunch / dinner. Good portions well presented meal also another place you can get a small doggy bag to go. This shows staff and chef your meal was so good you would rather finish at home than see going to waste. Compliments to all for great experience thank you. Hope to come again.

Been in several times for food and never been disappointed yet, even when we had booked for a birthday with 26 people coming for a meal we had quick service and everyone complimented the food. Staff are always friendly.

I have attended this restaurant a couple of times for lunch with friends. It's a lovely restaurant & bar. Myself & 1 friend ordered the steak & ale pie which had the best tasting gravy I had tasted in a long time & big chunks of steak, the hand cut chips were tasty. My other friend had the macaroni cheese with bacon through it. She said it was the best macaroni cheese she had ever tasted. We ordered off the small plates menu, was still quite big, but there were no complaints from us. Dessert was really nice. I ordered the strawberry & ice cream gataux which was very light & I enjoyed it. Others had ordered cinnamon waffles & chocolate cake, both lovely. The waitress Nicola who mainly served our table was lovely. Cheery & friendly. Came over & asked if we had liked our meal. We will be visiting there again very soon. I'll also be recommending it to friends & family. Thanks for an enjoyable experience.

On Sunday 1st July we celebrated our sons christening at the Glen Lusset. The staff where amazing and went far and beyond to help. They made an effort to chat to my family, friends and baby boy. They also raved about our christening cake which ment alot to my friend who made it for us. The outdoor seating area was also reserved so we could enjoy the beautiful weather. The buffet food was hot and there was lots of it. Overall a fantastic day. Thank you.

Attended a christening party at the Glen Lusset on Sunday and had a perfect day. Staff were so pleasant and attentive and nothing was too much bother. The buffet was excellent and plentiful and we spent most of the day outside in the garden area. We will definitely be back to sample the food on the menu which looked amazing as we passed through the Restaurant. Perfect place for a function. Thanks for a fab day

On Sunday we went to The Glen Lusset to celebrate the Baptism of our Grandson. What a wonderful day we had, the staff were amazing, so attentive to all the guests and nothing was a problem for any of the staff. My daughter and son in law had booked the conservatory for family and friends and it was such a lovely sunny day the staff also reserved the outside seating area for us to enjoy the sunshine. Buffet was plentiful and very nice, something for everyone except my fussy old Uncle and the kitchen staff made him is favourite dish, haddock and chips which was so kind of them particularly when they were also dealing with a packed restaurant. Huge huge thanks to everyone at The Glen Lusset for making this special day even more so. Cant wait to return and enjoy some lovely food outside overlooking the canal.

We were recommended this restaurant by my uncle Craig.Great place just under the Erskine bridge .Plenty of different areas that you can sit in.Food was excellent I had fajitas and my boyfriend had the Salmon.

We were staying locally and stopped to see if dog could come in with us to eat..and yes she could if we sat in the bar area! Perfect - a lovely welcoming place with a varied menu it was hard to pick..all fresh cooked to order and all four of us agreed our meals very tasty and plentiful portions.

Well appointed and pleasant surroundings food above average for pub grub but not really a restaurant unless you eat in the dining area to the rear, staff friendly and attentive the choice of beers of is good

Myself and my boyfriend happened across this lovely pub when we were driving around the area. It was my birthday and we were hoping to find somewhere nice for a birthday dinner - we were not disappointed. The food here was wonderful, with smaller dishes to suit my appetite, and a range of veggie dishes too! Such a unique setting, and the service was fantastic. I would recommend it to anyone in the area!

Just off the Dumbarton Road. Good selection of food and served with smiles. Good selection of drinks both alcoholic and non alcoholic. Good size free car park. Some outdoor seating.

Walked in on spec with a friend who lives locally. It was quiet, but that'snot always a bad thing as we were able to get seated at the back right at the windows, which have an equally surprising view (the frontage is just off the main road through Old Kilpartick).

We stopped off for lunch today. Fantastic service and beautifully presented restaurant. Food was very good quality and my only disappointment was the size of the nacho portion. Could have done with a bit more volume and some guacamole. Otherwise would highly recommend

Was looking for somewhere close to Clydebank for lunch and thought I would give the Glen Lussetnin a go. I'm glad I did: excellent meal served by very attentive staff and reasonably priced.

Went on Saturday again with partner. Food lovely as always and staff are just fab really lovely people. I'd recommend the Glen lusset every time best food in old Kilpatrick by far and niece atmosphere . Always busy so says it all so advised to book before hand .

Was in at lunchtime today with my brother for lunch, staff very welcoming, friendly and attentive. Place is lovely and clean, toilet spotless and the food well what can I say “OMG the Macaroni Cheese is to die for” it’s the best I’ve have in a long time and the portion was big well worth the money and the Chicken Chasni was the same. We also had a starter Tempora Chicken was lovely wasn’t greasy at all. Portion size was big. Will definitely be back.

Wow mac n cheese to die for, best I have had in a long time very filling,absouloutly coming back and Trudie the waitress made us feel very welcome could not fault her professionalism first class service.

Serving food in the conservatory, bar and/or outside gives a great choice of places to eat. While the menu is pretty standard fare, the quality does not disappoint and the portions are definitely on the generous side.

Had messaged prior to visiting to enquire about gluten free options and whether a separate fryer is used for the gluten free fish and chips. Got an instant response advising that this was indeed the case. Enjoyed gf fish and chips and a gf sticky toffee pudding whilst my husband had the lasagne and then salted caramel crumble. We both thought the main course and dessert was lovely and that the staff were friendly and the service was great. Will return again soon. Good to see the restaurant catering for coeliacs. Thanks.

Sometimes when you go back to a restaurant it is a disappointment - not so here.Had another lovely meal here with our teenage grandchildren. Our 18 year old grandson(a creature of habit) was disappointed there was no tomato and red pepper soup this time but did manage to find another starter.

Went in to have a drink to find a very busy bar full of football guys. Judy found a seat for us in a quieter area. All the staff seemed really well trained and we assumed she was management. After speaking to her, she told us that she was “just Judy the waitress”. She may well be, but someone is missing a great opportunity here. What a superb asset she is. She was organised, professional and clearly enjoyed ensuring that people had a great night out.if Watch out she doesn’t get “headhunted”.

My Daughter and I went to Glen Lusset for lunch yesterday, we had been meaning to go for a while and so glad we finally got around to it. Menu offered various choices and was not massive as sometimes lunch menus can be. Food was delicious, and I can highly recommend the scallops with pea broth and bacon, cooked perfectly. Staff were very friendly, price was very reasonable also. Will definitely not leave it so long to go back again with the rest of my family.

Delicious home made pub food. Lovely local pub atmosphere. Great setting - overlooking the water and cycle trail. Under Erskine Bridge. Staff very friendly. Good range of food on menu but would highly recommend the macaroni cheese - we added chorizo! Also the steak and ale pie with fresh veg. Delicious. Will definite make a point of visiting again. Dogs and dog walkers also welcome in the pub.

Visited here with both family and friends. Staff just couldn't do enough for us. They were lovely. Food was hot and tasty and the surroundings were immaculate and very pleasant. Can't fault the whole visit and we have and will be back again.

We had the Lasagne and one of the curry specials. Both were really tasty with good portion sizes. All of the staff members we interacted with were brilliant, friendly and helpful. The conservatory is light and comfortable.

Enjoyed a hearty lunch in this well kept pub/restaurant. Enjoyed a pint of well kept beer while I ordered from an impressive menu. In the end opted for the leek and potato soup with a sandwich. This is a very filling meal with a large bowl of soup and enormous sandwich. Presentation was excellent and I enjoyed the view out of the back windows overlooking the canal and cycle path. There is a very nice seating area outside also, but the 'midges' were hungry that day, so stayed indoors. Very pleasant surroundings for lunch with very friendly staff.

Had lunch here on a wet Friday. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, the menu has vegetarian and gluten free options and half portions for seniors. There is a good range of dishes on the menu plus staples like fish and chips and mac and cheese. We sat in the main bar with an outlook over a quiet stretch of the Forth and Clyde canal. There is a large conservatory too.

Myself and my wife went along today hadn't been since it had been revamped. Ordered a bloomer sandwich each. After a 15 min wait (surprising because there were only one other couple in at that time) the sandwiches arrived unfortunately too hard to eat. Both were hard and inedible. They were sent back but rather than wait another 15 mins I paid for the drink each we had and left. Gentleman behind bar very apologetic but c'mon they couldn't even make a sandwich. Lovely place but won't be going back in a hurry.

Just back from a great Lunch for 4 adults, 1 child and a dog! The staff were excellent, our server Trudi was so welcoming and got us all drinks which included the dog! Food was great, service was great and we had a brilliant afternoon. Thank you!
