I started working beside Rigos a couple years ago and it’s been the best hidden gem ever! I then asked if they sold decaf tea bags and they didn’t at that time, they went out their way to order decaf tea bags to ensure I got my tea in the mornings before work! I honestly love the place and will be going there so much more often for breakfast and lunch! If you’re in dumbarton, give this place a try it’s too good to miss! “Excellent” is an understatement!

Instead of giving to the giants of the coffee world, support the local coffee cafe business. Excellent flat white. Strong and full of flavour. All too often I ask for a flat white and receive a latte. Great selection of food/snacks available. Not forgetting the girl that served me..couldn’t have been nicer.

Rico’s catered for my daughters buffet for her Christening. I couldn’t have faulted their food and every else seemed to enjoy it too! The only thing I would say was the price was quite expensive for the platters that we got.

Caught a nice wee snack here before going to watch Dumbarton playing in a home game. Basic, clean, well-run carry-out restaurant offering hot and cold snacks. Hot food is served in polystyrene containers and can be eaten on premises with a few tables and breakfast bar sitting arrangements. Some cakes and scones which looked very tempting were on display. Friendly service and very reasonable prices with a cup of coffee only 50p!

Stumbled across this bistro today and have to say I was pleasantly surprised. They do a range of pasta, sandwiches, paninis, jacket potatoes, soup and salads. They also have a small specials board. There were four of us, we didn't have to wait long and the food was piping hot. One of group ordered chips and I have to say as much as they aren't my favourite thing, I was in there sharing. They were really nice! We had chicken club sandwich with the yummy chips on the side, chicken burger, chicken goujons and a jacket potato with cheese and beans. All appeared to be freshly cooked and the portions were a good size. We all enjoyed, clean plates all round and were stuffed afterwards. They also do a takeaway service - though I'm not certain at the time of writing if the hot food or specials can be taken away. In addition I have paid more for less in other places. I'd happily go back here.

Lovely wee place that sells nice Food, good variety on menu and staff always polite to serve you. However, I feel that the place does not upgrading, some nice new wallpaper and paint to brighten up the place. Highly recommend.

The prices are very reasonable. We all had the cooked breakfast. The sausages were cheap and really quite awful. Otherwise the food was good. A smile to strangers on entering cafe would make a difference. Only locals seemed to get a welcome. Please, please buy better sausages it would make a good breakfast great!

Dropped into Rigo's Bistro for the first time today. I had a lovely baked potato with bolognese filling, side salad and coleslaw. My mother had the spaghetti carbonara with garlic bread. Absolutely fabulous food at fantastic prices. The portions were enormous. Definitely be back soon. Very friendly and attentive staff.

Used to be tucked away in a dead end off of high street but due to the works is now on a main road. I don't think Rigos gets the recognition it deserves. Good service and incredibly fresh tasting food. I'd thoroughly recommend this as one of the best on Dumbarton High Street.

I've been visiting Rigo's for years, and have always been fond of their pasta dishes. The spaghetti Bolognese is particularly good. This is a tiny café, and often very busy, which tells you something about the place. It also does takeaway food; the soup is generally a bit disappointing, but the sandwiches and melts are well worth trying. Prices are very reasonable and the staff are friendly and efficient. There's not much choice in Dumbarton but Rigo's could hold its own anywhere.

This small bistro serves delicious home made soups, pastas and freshly made sandwiches. Afternoon teas are excellent value for money. The service if first class and the waitress went out of her way to ensure we were well catered for. The restaurant is spotlessly clean and has a lovely friendly atmosphere. On my visit l enjoyed minestrone soup with a slice of crusty bread followed by a generous portion of spaghetti bolognese which was delicious. The coffee was freshly brewed. l will definitely visit again.

I'm lucky enough to work just around the corner from Rigo's, and invariably go there for lunch. The staff are always friendly, and the food is flawless. Things to try must be the minestrone soup, the Cajun chicken pasta box, baked potatoes are excellent too. My favourite EVER Carbonara can be found here also. Well done George, Richard and all the staff. Keep up the good work. Well worth 5*.

One of the best meals I have ever had, all of the dishes were homemade and so fresh. We hired it for a private dinner and were able to bring our own drink. Totally disagree with review of it being over priced as a 3 course meal is only £10.95 per person! Excellent value!I have been many times since for lunch and afternoon tea. Everything is so fresh and delicious, highly recommend!!Excellent friendly and fast service, felt very welcomed hence my return many times.

..we asked Claire if she would provide us with "afternoon tea" but not in the restaurant, instead in St Micheaels Hall in Dumbarton to celebrate our Ruby - 40th - wedding anniversary. Needless to say that Claire and Josie surpassed our expectations and we were suitably refreshed with a fantastic selection of proper "afternoon tea" fayre - including bite-size mini strawberry tarts ! Brilliant. We would recommend Rigo's for any function, and even George can't muck it up !Muchas Gracias, senoras !

we visited for a coffee and a cake and were disapointed with the value for money. The cakes were bought in and not home baked, the speciality coffee was tiny and not what we expected, maybe this should be pointed out to customers in the future.

Excellent value, great service and lovely food.Unlimited tea in a proper teapot, not fine china but very pretty as were the cup, saucers and side plates.Choose 3 different sandwich fillings with or without salad on white or brown bread which were very fresh and delicious.Cut into dinky triangles with the crusts cut off,4 sandwiches each of each filling. Warm scones with butter, jam and clotted cream,2 slices of spiced fruit cake each and 1 gorgeous mini strawberry tart each. All for £14 for two.Fantastic would rival any high end afternoon tea in a posh hotel. One of the best afternoon teas we have had and we've had a few.Need to book at least 24hrs in advance, not opened on a Sunday.

It was a lovely place to eat and chat. Great staff and service all around.

Been updated recently and not an improvement. They built the square in the middle of the bar so to get in you are funneled past the bar. This means if people are standing at the bar it's often blocked just to walk it. The room to get past is small so the bar people can't stand easily and the people entering are blocked. For such a large place they have managed to reduce the accessable way in and reduce the table space. We tried to come in and while there were tables there were groups of 3 spread over 2 tables so we couldn't come in. I don't like what they have done. It's become a bit of a local bar for local people.

I was staying at the Golden Jubilee for work and walked here because it was close. I ate here 2 nights, tried the steak pie and the chili. Both hit the spot on a good wet night. It does have seating beyond the bar. The kitchen puts in more care into the dishes and I found everything to the sticky toffee pudding delicious.
