Absolutely love the onion bhajis which I get every time I go to the farmers market on a Saturday. Always served by the loveliest, friendly people too.

We visit stroud at least once a year and are always amazed by various vegan food available in the local area. Girish's vegan food stall is one of those places we always go to get some munch every time we're here! Never fails to impress.

...and ended up buying various things. Then: oh they have dal and rice too? Great, I'll have some of that. And what's that? Mango lassi. Ooh, two of those as well! All of it delicious. And all vegan too. Have dropped in for some street snacks at Stroud Saturday market a couple of times now - it's really good.

Always buy their food at the farmers market Stroud and at Forest green football on a match. Their Dal is so tasty and creamy. The samosas just amazing and so crispy. Its not just their food that so nice its the people who run it as well

Sampled Girish's stall outside Forest Green Rovers New Lawn stadium the other week. This was different class compared to your standard pre-match fayre. I wasn't sure what to expect with the football club's vegan ethos...but the burger was absolutely superb, a lovely spicy taste and the samosas looked very tasty too. Definitely recommended. Friendly service and great value

Initially I started buying the samosas from here, which are absolutely amazing - crispy pastry with a gently spicy, comforting potato filling. I have a stall at the farmers' market so I'm there every week and I always get some samosas to cook at home (where they turn out just as good). Then I tried the onion bhaji wrap which was also delicious. I'm gradually working my way through his whole menu (the daal is also delicious) and can vouch for everything on there. It's all cooked fresh but the samosas remain the real stars - in my mind at least.

Stroud has a wonderful choice of places to breakfast on a Saturday morning but we always find ourselves drawn to Girish's for his amazing, fresh, hot samosas - one is never quite enough! - and his incredible, beautifully spiced daal. We are not vegetarians but find this breakfast irresistible and much more satisfying than your average bacon roll! Perfectly accompanied by a cup of fresh chai or mango lassi in summer, my son's favourite. All served with a wonderful, friendly smile. All in all, a great start to the weekend.

The stall is usually opposite the Carphone Warehouse just up the road from Walkers great little bakery. Girish's Vegan Indian Food is fresh, tasty and lovely grub. Munch it whilst strolling the Saturday market or take it home for a real treat. Quality Indian food from a street stall ~ well done.

Excellent. Samosas and aloo tikkis to die for! Pakorras are great too. They also do vegetable curry, dahl, chai and more, but I've not tried them.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal here the other night - it was all very fresh and the spices were very well balanced. Delicious paneer options and we were very impressed with the naan. By comparison to others, this is perhaps the closest in taste to the authentic flavours of India and Nepal. Glad to have this as our local and we'll be back in a heartbeat. Good value and great service. Thank you.

Superb restaurant, the menu is really interesting and if you want it the kitchen will cook things hotter or milder in spice. The staff are very good and service is prompt. It gets busy, especially on a Saturday night so it's advisable to book rather than just rock up. Recommended!!

We have used Saffron for a few years and it has been super tasty. Unfortunately, the last couple of times just haven't been the same. The bread has suddenly become very dense, thick and almost undercooked. Today my chicken tikka didn't come with the usual salad or yogurt dressing. I love these parts and I really missed them. It was really disappointing as they are an integral part to the dish. I think we're going to try somewhere else now. Such a shame.
