Ordered takeaway and the garlic bread was lacking garlic, the calamari tasted like cheap microwaved garbage and the pasta and meatballs wasnt very nice at all. Never again

Our first experience in this restaurant. I had Pollo Milanese and my fiance had steak with mushrooms sauce. I really loved my dish and he liked it his steak. He said it could be a bit better, but the sauce was amazing....Everything was very nice 🤌. We will definately come back!

I have never been disappointed, eating here. My friend said it was the best Seafood Risotto she had ever had. This lady eats out in many first class restaurants too.

Been here twice so far, excellent food and service both times. Reasonably priced too. Will visit many times I'm sure. Just to add that we continue to visit regularly, and although it has changed hands since my original review, the quality is always excellent.

1st visit will definitely be back

On each visit we have enjoyed good service from the Chef's wife (I think), excellent food and good sized portions. Great Italian wine list too. My only problem with this restaurant is the lighting, too bright, white and blue, which makes it feel "cold". I realise they took over the restaurant a while back and haven't altered anything with the style etc. Can they use dimmer switches I wonder? Also please update the lunch menu on the front window with faded stickers over the prices. Have read some reviews and in my opinion the pizza I had was the best ever! I feel fortunate to have this lovely family-run Italian restaurant on my doorstep.

A really great restaurant: delicious food and wine. Presentation of the food and service was superb. All 4 adults had a very pleasant 2 hours dining and conversation. Both the mains and deserts were so tasty! Thank you for making our lunch so enjoyable.

Spotted the restaurant the previous week as we were out for a walk thought we’d give it a try. So glad we did. Food was amazing delivered hot to our table and so tasty!! Staff were attentive but not in your face constantly and such great value for money. We weren’t waiting long in between courses either. We’re definitely going back again soon

Excellent food, really friendly staff. I used to live in broadwater boulevard 40 years ago, back to visit a dear friend who treated my husband and I as a thank you for booking her amazing trip recently. Would definitely recommend

Avoid this place, food is shocking, reheated from frozen. All the sauces were watery and food was bland, very expensive for what it was. Found the service to be dreadful, initially ok but that soon changed and we were purposefully ignored. Waited 25 minutes for the bill and didn’t get a goodbye or thank you when we left, just the two waitresses glaring and whispering about us. For a Friday night there were only 6 other people in there with us, tells you everything!

2nd time we have visited this great place on Xmas eve and didn’t disappoint again. Great food, great atmosphere and brilliant friendly staff. You can see from the pics how amazing the food is , this place is a real gem

Visited with my family for a meal for my sons girlfriends 18th. Initially very helpful and nice but that soon diminished. Food was pretty tasteless to be honest, service was ok but continually interrupted by the waiter who, once, poured the wrong drink. When we went to pay, the machine wasn’t working correctly which told me that my card and my wife’s were declined but would work if they split the bill and payed contactless?🤷‍♂️ I found that particularly embarrassing with others around and that is one of the reasons for the bad review. That is a basic function nowadays and should be tested to make sure it is working. Not great and I have now been twice and been left disappointed both times. Unfortunate.

Me and my girlfriend go most weeks to Giorgios, the food and service are always fantastic, wines and desserts are great to. Thank you for all the good memories we have had here and many many more to come !

The service and woman front of house, so rude! We waited 1 1/2 hours for our meal and with 3 children it was a nightmare. We were ignored, and had to keep asking for everything. When we asked for the bill it still took a lifetime to wait then she just threw the bill at me. I have never in my lifetime met such a rude woman. Tbh when the food came it was nice but spoilt having to wait so long. Problem was they accepted 2 large parties at the same time and couldn’t cope. It was so noisy was unbearable. Also be aware - they advertise they accept Meercat Sun-Thurs but when produced they refuse. A friend also tried on a Thursday and was refused. This restaurant needs to get rid of this awful woman then they would be fine.

Do not order or visit this restaurant, their pizza is a disgrace to the cuisine of Italy. Utter cardboard topped with shoddy ingredients; I wouldn’t be at all surprised to discover that our pizzas had been frozen prior to their cooking. Wasted, wasted evening.

Three things that make a great restaurant. I. Food, 2. Service 3. Ambience Let's start with the food. I ordered mozzarella garlic bread for starters and received 2 tiny bits of bread that tasted and looked like they'd been bought from iceland £5. Hoping that the meatballs in tomato sauce would be better, which it wasn't. I couldn't even taste any tomato or garlic and yet again the meatballs were so tiny and felt they had again been bought in a frozen bumper bag. So disappointing. My partner had a chicken dish which she left after one mouthful as it tasted weird. The service was okay, but no vibe at all. The ambience, Italy is colourful and bright, everything in this place looks like a dull day outside/inside, with everything grey and depressing. Here's an idea, employ a decent chef (perhaps italian?) employ upbeat staff, bring some colour to the restaurant, do a few good dishes really well and people will come back. Not a chance with this rubbish. I do wonder what goes through peoples minds when they think, ah I'll open a restaurant, serve below average food and see if I can get away with it. Appalling.

I went to this restaurant with my family, I had high hopes but unfortunately it was rather disappointing. The food was quite expensive and mediocre, and the staff were unwelcoming. You didn’t get much for the money, and the wait was at least an hour. Sadly, we will not be going here again.

Had a takeaway tonight, chicken and mushroom pasta is was really disappointing, the chicken was hard and dry looked and tasted old.

What an amazing meal we had here for Mother's Day. The food was absolutely delicious, from starters, to mains to desserts. Staff could not have been more friendly and efficient, even with what would have been a very busy day for them. Can't wait to go back again !!

This is first cal for us ! Naughty I know but we go nearly every week and never have been disappointed, the service from all is incredible especially as we have some dietary requirements, they always do there best. Food - is really really good, honestly home cooked Italian food. Setting is lovely modern and clean. Me And my girlfriend really rate it here, feels like family even on our first visit (which was a while Back now ) 😂 5* from us !

My partner and I found this gem almost a year ago. We have been coming back ever since! Not only is the food gorgeous every time, but the homely, personal service is bar none. A group of us went for dinner on Saturday night, and after having many fantastic meals in the past, we were extremely disappointed with the service. It took them 3 goes at our wine order. The starters came out no problem but we only had 4 main meal bought out when there was 5 of us. They came and asked if all ok to which we said missing a meal. They disappeared back into the kitchen and came back with the wrong meal ! They said it was correct and even the people on the table next to us said they had heard us say 3 times that it was a chicken dish not the beef that they had bought out.. Finally correct meal arrived and the food as always was great. We didn’t make a fuss in the restaurant but I rang the next day to express my disappointment only to be told that they were busy and short staffed.

I went there early December and had a wonderful meal. Unfortunately I went there again in mid February and the aubergine starter hardly had any aubergine in it, we did mention it to the waitress but she didn't seem to understand. Then, when our main meal was served both meals were served on plates that were chipped around the edges. Finally our bill was totalled up incorrectly. I'm hoping that this was just a bad night.

Gem of a place serving fantastic food

Never had a bad experience here. A group of us have recently had another great evening - fantastic authentic food served by lovely friendly staff. This is s must visit place.

Visited Friday, at lunch time in December. A very lovely waitress served us, food was delicious and served promptly. Didn’t feel rushed and found no complaints! Would recommend highly and a great addition to Broadwater.

Went tonight was disappointing. Heard such great things. Price very reasonable. Calamari was chewy. King prawns were deep fat fried which were just horrible. Lamb was just ok.Hubby's chicken again deep fat fried. The Deep fat frying thing isn't for us. Think we should of just ordered the pasta which looked lovely on the other tables.

Family owned restuarant with an extensive menu which is reasonably priced. On the night we chose to eat it was a busy lively atmosphere which my wife especially enjoyed. Five out of five stars

We had 3 courses and loads of the food was homemade....delicious all of it....mussels calamari lasagne gnocchi swordfish lamb shank plus banoffee pie sorbet and chocolate fondant. Deserves to be a busy little place. Staff are lovely.

We frequented this restaurant often before “lockdown” and it was very good but since “lockdown” ended it has become even better . We’ve had two visits there in the last couple of months and both have been great . Every course has been excellent .

The decor has not attracted us at all, but as it happens in Italian restaurant the worse the decor gets the better the food gets. It was absolutely gorgeous.

Wish I could give no stars but, unfortunately, I can’t. TERRIBLE service, very unwelcoming. Waited for the ten minutes at the door, completely ignored, until we were seated. Found hair in our found not once!!! but TWICE. The second time seemed very intentional as it was placed on top of the food… how the server/cook didn’t see it is very mysterious to me. They gave me a wrong order and refused to take it back and the server was cross at my whole family even though we did not order it and were forced to pay for it. Had too many troubles in this restaurant and we didn’t even have any attitude towards anyone!!! We were calm and polite however we still received terrible service + food within just two visits. Never again do NOT visit!

Amazing pizza! Great service and kind staff! Ordered the spicy pepperoni pizza and thoroughly enjoyed - asked for extra toppings of goats cheese and onion and they happily accommodated!

Food was very good, well cooked and presented. Staff were polite and helpful. The meal was not rushed and the spacing of courses was well timed. A very pleasant evening at a reasonable price. If you like Italian cuisine this place is a good option.

Having been to Italy a few times I can tell you this is proper Italian food.. Hearty portions, fresh tasting, delicious food. The service is great, friendly staff. Highly recommended

Lovely homemade gnocchi in rich creamy sauce - the friendly waitress kindly let me have it as a vegetarian version too (swapped ham for artichokes). Nice, calm environment too, a good place to have a catch up with a friend - we didn't feel hurried away at all after we'd eaten and could sit and enjoy our hot drinks and a chat for as long as we liked. Went the other day to celebrate my daughter's 21st birthday. The food was so good! Not only the presentation were outstanding but the pizza was delicious and very well cooked. The fish and the the stake were perfectly seasoned and nicely cooked too. I even had to take something home as take away too! The service was very nice too, the waiters were smiley and professional! The owners were so kind with us that offered to the whole table a round of shots of limoncello. A very well spend lunch, we will be sure be back!

Made a booking today and visited the restaurant a couple of hours later. The waiter was super friendly and hosted us perfectly! The food was delicious! I tordered pasta and i would say if was hand-made cause it was so tasty!! And the sauce it was so fresh!!! Totally recommend it!

Turned up for a Sunday lunch to find they were not open

Food was good. Sadly the the food was not all delivered at the same time and one member of our party had to wait at least 10 minutes extra. Staff pleasant and helpful. Covid restrictions adhered to. I will not however be returning as the acoustics are terrible you and up shouting. If the place was at capacity would probably have to write notes to each other.

Went here today for my stepdaughters birthday, cannot compliment the food and staff enough. Couple of the party were running late but the staff were so patient with us. The food itself was amazing, best Italian I have had since being in Rome itself. The size of the starters was something else and the mains were just as superb. We had a fab time and this is a proper little gem of a place.

Shambolic, staff not wearing any PPE, tables fully laid up, menus not disposable. Arrived at 7pm on 12th , after 30mins had to ask if we could order drinks, 10mins later our order was taken for drinks & food, 15 mins later 3 out of 4 drinks arrived!!! We have now been here for nearly an hour Then 15 mins later waitress comes over to us & says sorry only have 3 steaks left & not the 4 ordered. This was the final straw & we got up & left. Having been here several times in the past & had a good time. Lots of other negatives about Giorgio's that evening. We would certainly not recommend Giorgios to anyone & will never be returning.

We had been several times before and had really nice meal before, we went last night with the eat out to help out to support local restaurants. We arrived, had to put contact detail on pen and paper? We had already entered contact details when I booked the table, hand sanitiser next to contact detail pad.No staff were wearing masks? No spacing of tables, the knives and forks where already on the table, the menus we the normal menus, not disposable.We sat down for 30 minutes before we had to ask if we could have a drink, so we ordered drinks and food together, as it was chaos in the restaurant, at least two new staff didn’t know what they were doing, and weren’t being shown how to do the job, just stood around. The restaurant seems to serve takeaway orders quickly, if they want to be a takeaway outlet, don’t say your a restaurant.Our drinks arrived finally, but no food for another half an hour, the couple next to us had noticed that we hadn’t been served any food,then the manager came to the table to say that we had ordered four steaks, but they only now had three, Basil Fawlty would be in his element in this restaurant , so we got up and left and walked to KFC, got served with hot food in less than 5 minutes.There is a nice handwritten message saying that a table of four can’t stay longer then two hours.So if we had stayed for our food we could have exceed the time the restaurant states we were allowed to stay inside the restaurant

I love this place! I came today for an evening out after a while. Even though the restaurants was quite busy due to the government scheme that it’s going on at the moment, the waitresses were present and hard working. The food was excellent as the service. The fritto misto was amazing to be completely honest. I would come back again for sure!

Went last night. Party of six. Have been many times as local. Not as good as normal. Stood for 5 minutes. Very busy but not acknowledged by staff. In my view too many people in the restaurant and We considered leaving. Only 3 waiting staff running around. Seated at our table and had to ask for it to be cleaned which is not on due to COVID. Drinks cane after a while but had to ask for beers. Forgot water altogether but the poor waiting staff were having complaints and a couple walked out as waiting too long. We decided to not bother staff. Food good generally. Well cooked. Georgios is popular and busy more so due to the offer. However staff seemed under pressure and unable to be as attentive as normal so poor front of house which is very very important. Owner on holiday apparently and I think should be here to support staff in August due to the deal on the whole month. Or have more staff on duty. In comparison this week in Press in Warwick Street staff falling over themselves checking you have everything you need. Front of house is very important. Restaurants have really suffered this year and we felt sorry for the staff. We go here often and are not used to seeing unhappy faces. I suggested to the waitress that if customers are to be kept waiting that at least drinks and bread on the table will keep people happy.

Booked a table last night for myself and my wife as she wanted to try this place for a while.Turned up and was seated promptly.We then proceeded to try and get service but were ignored by two waitresses who were tending to others.After 40 minutes with no service we decided to leave as we were fed up of being ignored and hadn't been offered a drink yet.The waitress seemed frustrated as she said oh f*CK when we walking out the door. The restaurant was busy but it seems there were casually dressed staff, hanging around the bar, not doing alot and everything was disorganised with no social distancing. I am sure we were not the only ones. who experienced bad service that evening as service at other tables seemed slow.Shame as the food reviews seem good.

Such a disappointing meal. The restaurant itself was set up brilliantly with new cleaning everywhere and the staff were lovely. However the food was very dry and lacked real flavour, could have come from a packet!

I booked this restaurant after it was recommended by a work colleague and Giorgio's did not disappoint, the restaurant is very bright inside and the staff are very attentive and make you feel welcome. The food was amazing, Veronica had the mussels and i had the pan fried pork which melted in my mouth so i will definitely be having that again. I did see a review which said its not the place for a romantic meal, i can only guess is because its very bright inside which i didn't see as a problem, at least you can read the menu. We will definitely be going back and will recommend Giorgio's to others.

Had a fantastic lockdown takeaway from Giorgio's last night. Huge portions and great value. It's a great option until we can sit in again.

We placed an order through Just Eat, which left the restaurant but never turned up to our house. We contacted Giorgio Ristorante directly and they were very apologetic. They recooked the food and delivered it to us themselves. The food was piping hot and delicious, we will absolutely be ordering from here again, hopefully eating in the restaurant soon as well.

So glad to see this restaurant open for takeaway and delivery. - we’ve missed it so much! My husband and I have been to Giorgios quite a few times now, on our own and with friends as a 4, and family 8. It’s become our favourite restaurant. It’s great to have such a good restaurant near to home, the food is always excellent, the service exceptional and the ambiance and friendly Italian charm perfect - prices not bad either! It’s a lovely find. We recommend this restaurant to all of our friends looking for somewhere special to eat locally.

5 of us enjoyed our meals, they were all served hot, large portions and the staff friendly and helpful. They allowed us to take in a birthday cake to. We all shared some caramelised onion cheese garlic bread which was delicious. I had the lasagne which was tasty with a nice side salad. They advertise lunchtime deals so will check those out sometime.

The ambience is great here. Friendly, relaxed but if you want to dress up you can. Anything goes. However, the food is definitely high end. Fresh ingredients and cooked to order with fantastic flavour. Meat was cooked to perfection. Definitely coming here again. It’s not a town centre restaurant, so that counts as a ‘hidden gem’ in my opinion.
