In general terms the quality of the food was adequate, if a trifle expensive for what you get, however the prices of drinks were absolutely ridiculous; a total rip off. My advice is check before you buy.

We have been to Casa Ciro many many times and I don’t normally do reviews but this restaurant so deserves a five star award as in my opinion it is the best eatery in Worthing by far. We have just had yet another beautifully cooked three course meal from the Christmas menu. All I can say is WOW! The food was absolutely delicious from beginning to end. We were only a table of four amongst big party tables. The atmosphere was fantastic and the way Casa Ciro served so many plates of delicious food with ease was incredible to witness! Keep doing what you are doing. You are simply the best! Can’t wait to be back very soon. Many thanks.

Not one to leave a review but wow! Being from London we have our fair share of top end Italian restaurants and this is on par with them! Great service and a great atmosphere which is hard to come by in this climate! The restaurant was heaving for a lunch time in a small town, was like being in London! This showed us we were in the right place. I had the sausage ragu with fresh pasta which was very unique and packed with flavour. My partner had the Lamb which was so succulent it melted in your mouth! The creamy sage polenta was amazing! Service was good although slow at times which is to be expected with how busy it was. Clearly a spot for the locals as everyone seemed to know everyone! Great job Casa Ciro! Will definitely be recommending to our friends in London!

Disappointing Carbonara This will unfortunately be the first negative review I've had to write on TripAdvisor and it hurts that Casa Ciro is the restaurant I'm writing about. For the sake of time management and my general laziness, I will be referring to Casa Ciro as "CC." I have loved CC ever since I was young. My first experience in the restaurant being (from what I can remember) a relatives birthday dinner, that ended up with everyone leaving happy and fulfilled. I've since frequented the restaurant on many occasions, again leaving like I've had a meal worth paying for. Regrettably, this time was different. It was midday, around 1pm. Lunch was on our minds and we had a yearning for Carbonara. It was a decision between CC and another popular Italian restaurant in town. Remembering how good our previous experiences were at CC, we decided to go there. Our minds were set on Carbonara, thus we had no starters and I don't even remember glancing at the menu. Service was good at the start with water being given to us within 2 minutes of being at the table. Undoubtedly, we were very excited. On came our kind waitress, who took our order quickly and left us to relax and enjoy the atmosphere, of what was turning out to be quite the busy lunch service. We sat and conversed stories of old and tales from the past! Soaking up the midday atmosphere, eagerly awaiting on our Carbonara. Finally, it had arrived. Approximately 33 minutes after we gave our order to the waitress. I was in disbelief. My mind couldn't comprehend what was being placed in front of me. Thoughts of previous Carbonara being served to me in CC rushed through my head like the record breaking speed of the NASA X-43A scramjet, going speeds of Mach 9.6. "Is this really it?" "Is this bowl of pasta really it?" "Is this the Carbonara that I am being served?" "Is this the meal I had been so excited about? The meal that had built up so much anticipation in my head? "No. It can't be." I muttered to myself. I refused to believe the bowls of pasta served to us was our order. Surely there's been a mix-up, right? Wrong. I was wrong. Undeniably wrong. The two bowls of Carbonara were our meals. This is what we had been given and we were to eat them with satisfaction and haste. Haste was indeed the case, but satisfaction... That's another unsolved problem. Satisfaction felt faraway. Distant. Removed. It was as if satisfaction was an exotic alien civilisation, the type astronomers are chasing to find and discover, but never do. This was not a bowl of pasta. This was a mere forkful or so of pasta. The Carbonara itself could have been served to us in a wine glass, whilst still having room for 175ml of 2013 Jean Philippe Fichet. We were obviously heartbroken. Disappointed is an understatement. This was notably unlike CC. £26 for two forkfuls of undercooked pasta. Some would argue that the pasta was al dente, which it certainly was not. The bite was crunchy and dry. The texture of the pasta would also lead me to believe that the pasta is dried, and not fresh, which is entirely not what you would expect from a restaurant that claims to take inspiration from Italy; "taking inspiration from the heart of Italy" (this is written on the homepage or their website). The actual Carbonara itself was very sticky and congealed, which is a tell-tale sign that the egg base of the carbonara was cooking for too long on too high of a heat, and or the chef didn't add enough pasta water. I try to never complain unless it's absolutely necessary, having worked in Hospitality for most of my adult life (if you know, you know). On this occasion, I simply mentioned to the waitress that our portions were tiny, and asked if this was normal (knowing it was indeed not normal for CC). The response I received was rather pointless, simply being told "are they? Sorry". Not the service we expected from CC. It's safe to presume that CC was just having an off day, like everywhere and everyone does. And I forgive you. But that doesn't mean this experience won't interfere with our opinions of CC, because it certainly will and does. Who knows? It could be the reason we decide to dine elsewhere in the future. Respectfully, The Potion Seller

I am a local business owner and have been using Casa Ciros for over 15 years and found it to be a wonderful place and have held many an occasion here. It is with great sadness this evening we went in with our 9 year old twins after a trip to the cinema, and were greeted by a blonde waitress (Wednesday 30th October) There were numerous seats unmarked for reservation however we were asked to sit by the door on arrival, informing us that we had 15 minutes till the kitchen is shut. The waitress then brought us menus and said that the free kids meal is only for under 10’s - we stated they were 9 and she said nothing and placed the drinks menu for me to catch! We decided to take the decision to walk out - we do not expect to be treated in this way, and I hope The young staff are educated how someone should be treated.

Had lunch at Casa Ciro in Worthing, West Sussex opposite the Worthing Theatre and it was fantastic! The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, perfect for a midday break. The star of the meal was definitely the cannelloni—so rich and flavorful, with perfectly cooked pasta and a creamy, cheesy filling that was just spot-on. Every bite was delicious and you could tell the ingredients were fresh.

This meal was so disappointing. We had our wedding reception there in 2008 so just wanted to go for a meal. We arrived at 1pm ordered drinks they didn't arrive. They had one waitress downstairs and one upstairs. We reminded the waitress of the order she said she had forgotten we said we were ready to order. When she took the order we waited and she came over 20mins later to say they didn't have the meal I wanted so I ordered something else. Eventually at 10 past 2 our food arrived which was OK nothing special. We asked for the bill but good job I checked the meal that they advised me was not available was on the bill. I questioned this with her and asked her why she said " oh I was distracted " very poor service and sadly we will not be returning to the restaurant. Poor service and incorrect bill

Table booked for 1930, with a party of 12 everyone arrived on time. We didn’t get asked for starters until 20.05 and they didn’t come until 20.30. Food was good, with the calamari and pate being very nice. Now I’m not sure of the waitress was new, or nervous but she was so rude. She slammed 2 dinners down on the table and it seemed like we were an inconvenience to her. We didn’t get our main courses until 21.15. When they came, the steak was good but the linguine arrabbiata was dreadful and the carbonara wasn’t much better. I had the seafood pasta and for £17.50 i expected more than 2 mussels. Overall the whole evening wasn’t the best. If your a half decent cook then you can do 99.9% of these at home. Service was really bad from one of the staff (the other being fine)

We have been going to Casa Ciro for years, unfortunately, in December,The food was awful, I boasted to people, how it's still as good as it ever was with the previous owners who built it up, probably 30/40 years, ( we and a lot of our friends have been going there for years) and when the new people took over a couple of years ago they vowed not to change anything, including the staff ,they were very good ,most have been there years, and we got to know them. One of them brought the recipe out for one of the dishes i loved.. It was that kind of place! For a long while, it was as good as it used to be with the new people, why would you change what is working? It started to go downhill a bit and It went down even faster between the 20th of December the 29th with different friends On the 20th. I had cannelloni ,the top was so burnt and hard, . It was like a lid so I had to lift off and eat what was underneath, which wasn't a lot in the end. My Husband and my friend said send it back but, I'm quite a slow eater. I thought by the time they brought another one out, the others would be finished.I did tell the girl to tell chef, it was so dry ,I'm not sure she did ! I expected somebody to come out! My husband and I love the pate & garlic bread! Had it as a starter every single time we went there, Within those nine days,(the pâté was significantly smaller than it used to be on the 20th ) there was even less pâté on the 29th,, and I don't know what the garlic bread was. It look like crusts of a French stick, the patty didn't taste anywhere near as nice The prices have gone up, but they have also trimmed down the food so much now, it is very noticeable, all very stingy ,On the 29th, My friend had goats cheese that made her feel queer, she left it all. Not saying it was her meal, but it was a coincidence. That little round of cheese sat on a bunch of" bagged" salad from the supermarket, and three slices of "garlic bread "nothing like the garlic bread they used to sell, cost..£13/£14 My wine spritzer was mostly soda water, again on the 20th, the spritzer was lovely, The garlic bread? they used to do in the oven? it came out really crispy, one of the things we loved and always had ...that was ok on the 20th! 29th Couple of bits of French stick garlic butter on,flashed under the grill I would guess .. Nothing like it used to be After the cannelloni episode on the 29th , I decided to go back to my other favourite, lasagna!, It was a big bowl of mush! Mostly tomato sauce(passta?) and mozzarella, that's stringy cheese that I do not like! that never used to be on the lasagna I enjoyed many times in Casa Ciro, I ate some of it, I was looking for any pasta or mince? Finally, at the bottom layer, there was some pasta and the mince was scattered about in lumps. Sadly, I think they have either changed the chef or, the owners have told them to cut down on everything, not nice Finally the desert that looked half the size of what it used to be, banoffee pie,£6?£6.50? that used to come with banana/toffee/ crispy base, a lot of cream and something like , a dusting chocolate powder across the top and over the plate, to look nice,!.. it was not nice.. Small wedge of Banoffee pie put on a small plate with no trimmings whatsoever There was a load of cream,, squishy. Banana, (very ripe) about 3 bits, I couldn't find any toffee. very disappointing all round. We all left some of our meal which is unknown in Casa Ciro , Once upon a time, you couldn't get a booking for a couple of weeks. I am sad for a couple of reasons, mainly, it was the go to place when we met up with friends , it was always good. The standards were high. The food was always the same, the service was brilliant and, and you would take friends there with confidence, you knew what you were going to get. the other reason ?I think these people will lose this business overtime. I'm not the only one that's noticed. The bill on the 29th £156 funny thing was , (my friends, have a young son,) I said "if we can't get booked into Casa Ciro(as we rang for two days, both of us, nobody answered the phone!!,) will have to go to McDonald's"(wish we had)

The food was amazing but the atmosphere and service was very disappointing. I haven’t been here since before Covid and decided to have our xmas celebration with two other friends. Shocked at a glass of wine being £11 a glass but no suggestion of a bottle being cheaper if we were having more than one glass. The restaurant was half empty, no atmosphere at all and we felt rushed to order our starter and main. No one came to ask if our meals were ok, we had to ask for drinks on three occasions and they only brought over one. The staff were polite, but appeared disinterested and just chatting in the bar area rather than attending to the few occupied tables. Sadly we will not be returning as there are many other places in Worthing to eat who would be far more welcoming.

I came with a group of friends on Sunday December 10th for a meal before going to the Pantomime. The food was excellent and the staff were amazing. They went out of their way to accommodate us. I am a wheelchair user was looked after very well.

This place is amazing. We went for an early dinner for my brothers 18th birthday meal with family! I couldn’t recommend it enough, we were a table of 15 and they were incredible with booking and pre-ordering it was really easy! I mainly spoke to Dylan whilst there who was really useful. The food was amazing and great options that suit everyone. They were happy with my balloon and cake and decorations which was great, so happy with the whole experience!

Had a lovely set Christmas lunch with friends. As usual it was faultless, great service and staff all very pleasant. It’s our favourite restaurant as food is always consistently good and we are never disappointed.

Restaurant was nicely lit and we were greeted upon arrival. The tablecloth was made of paper which was disappointing. Garlic mushrooms to start which were really nice. I had the linguine marinara as a main and the seafood didn’t smell too fresh and was very dry. Quite an expensive meal that wasn’t great. Probably won’t be going there again…

I visited on a busy Friday evening with my husband and daughter. Every course was excellent. My particular favourite was the Pollo Palazzo which I chose for my main course. The restaurant had a lovely feel to it and the service was excellent. We live quite far away but we would certainly visit again.

Words aren’t enough to express how amazing an experience I had here. My family and I booked a couple of weeks in advance and let me tell you, it was worth the wait! Firstly, I just have to praise the staff. The service was exceptional! Never have I felt more welcomed and looked after in a restaurant. Notably, the dashing, handsome young man who served us the bill with class and suave! As for the food…delicious! I had the Camembert to start and the pairing with the jam and the garlic bread was nothing short of unreal! This definitely needs to be a staple of the main menu! For my main, I had the steak with garlic butter, which I was told was made in house! Let me tell you, those chefs are talented! It was absolutely fantastic! For dessert, I had the tiramisu which was the perfect way to end such a lovely meal! It was very well presented and tasted heavenly! The meal was accompanied by Prosecco and Rosé which went down a treat! My whole family enjoyed the meal and we are eager to go back! Unfortunately, we live over an hour and a half away but this will not stop us! Thank you to the whole team at Casa Ciros! Keep up the excellent work :)

A usually good restaurant with nice food. All staff pleasant and efficient but the evening was ruined by a rude and slightly aggressive server who was either having a very bad day or isn’t cut out for the hospitality business. Food was late out (30 minutes plus) and when I asked if it was on its way was spoken to like a misbehaving dog. Literally! Shame as I have been there many times and have always been impressed. I won’t return.

This was our first time visiting Casa Ciro for a birthday meal on Monday night and we loved it there. It was fairly busy considering the neighbouring restaurants were quiet (and a few not even open). We opted for the £25 fixed price menu as it had a good choice of starters and mains, and good value for money with a glass of wine. The house red was surprisingly good too. We opted for the whole plaice and chicken with mushrooms in white wine which were both excellent. The serving staff were very friendly and professional. We'll definitely come back again. Worthing seems to have better places to eat now than Brighton & Hove!

Half term visit, pizzas hooray!! booked table for after cinema trip with two girls under ten. Menu online for children stated pizza options. When I booked 4 days before, I was told they had had some trouble with their pizza oven but it was being fixed as we spoke. "Won't be a problem" kinda thing .... On arrival l, extremely cramped, busy with retirement crowd. Once sitting, we ordered pizzas but told no pizza option today. Great. Girls had limited options and chose a chicken n chips main and garlic bread starter (burnt) . I asked if as though no pizza and they've had to choose something else - could we have a scoop each ice cream for them complimentary? Definite No!. After that, we didn't see our waitress again and paid 10% service charge for the pleasure. Too busy and cramped, poor service, no pizzas in half term kids deal week(!), kids deserve good quality food too !! (ours was ok but theirs just looked dry and bland or over cooked) and no amends or appreciation to make dining experience better. Could have been saved into a good experience but it seemed no-one cared enough My advice... Half term week - go to pizza express or Brio.

Nice and friendly atmosphere. Sicilian caponata was ok and mainly aubergine and not many figs which I was looking forward to eating. Avocado al Forno was great as a starter. For the main course, we had Insalata di Mere and Pappardelle Julia and the latter one was delicious 😋 I really enjoyed affogato with liquor as a pudding. In front of the sea and we parked the road nearby for free Saturday evening.

The restaurant is on a side street in Worthing and is expensive compared to other restaurants that are in better locations with higher rent. Terrible service at the time Sunday early evening 5pm we were the second couple and the other one left shortly after we sat down yet my friend had to ask the waitress to order who was busy chatting. The design of the restaurant means there are blind spots so the waitress should have popped her head around the corner to make eye contact. She did not bother. My pizza picante was Excellent however I did not have Tiramsu at £9,50 when most places charge £6 Donatello Brighton, Fratelli Worthing £6.95, £7.50 Mangiamo Worthing. Worthing is a tough market. There is plenty of money as there are many old codgers however they don't spend money in sufficient numbers on dining out. My friend wanted to bring another friend 82 plenty of money and spends lots on wine. My friend was so disappointed with Giuseppes he will not return with his affluent friend.

The problem with this place is the manager. My friend has Parkinsons disease which makes speech very difficult. She was told by the manager to get out because she was drunk. She only drinks Coke. She was in tears and I gave the manager a piece of my mind. The manager insulted my other friend saying he is too fat, and banned him saying he didn't want him here. He patronises customers, saying that you have to sit here, insulting them by pointing at tables. His pizzas are small thin and inconsequential at an enourmous price, over £20. The manager is stark raving mad, charging up and down the tiny seating area talking to himself and making hand signs. This guy is a bully to his young staff who are amazing in their manners and attentiveness. Many customers complain, but are ignored because that guy is arrogant. there are many pizza places in the area where you will get friendlier and more respectful service.
