We have been coming to this restaurant for years. The food and service are still excellent, the staff lovely, and we do enjoy our visits, however, some suggestions for improvement: Turn the lighting down - the lights have suddenly got a lot brighter (no one wants to see my wrinkles ;-) The music, although very nostalgic 80’s and 90’s, would he best substituted for something more authentic/Indian. Please start accepting Amex again. You used to. Why stop?

Looking to grab a late night bite, so thought we’d try Gingers. Shown to a nice table, ordered some wine and some food. The Duck Honduras? Was fabulous. Service was very good and price was fine. Definitely go again one day. Thanks guys.

Having been to this restaurant for many, many years and been very happy our experience last night was truly disappointing. We dined early and the restaurant was full, good for them. However, it became apparent that they could not cope with the number of covers. We didn’t mind waiting and the waiters were of the usual high standard but the food was far below standard. I ordered my usual chicken shaslick. Firstly, they could not bring the hot dish to the table (Health and Safety) as they couldn’t get to our table without pushing through diners (have more table been added?). My food was piled high on a plate which did not look appetising at all, I had to ask for a side plate. Worse was yet to come. The vegetables were not al dente but raw. I could not put a fork into the whole onion for fear it would have flown across the table! My main issue was the chicken. One piece was practically raw, highly dangerous! My dish was returned. I was offered an alternative but declined as didn’t want to have anything else and would have had to wait for an age. My husband’s meal although edible was not of the usual standard and he did not finish it. The bill was presented for the full value which unlike us we disputed. In fairness it was obvious that due the chaos our complaint hadn’t filtered through. We were offered a free meal but paid for my husbands. In summary, have they added more tables and therefore couldn’t cope with the number of covers or were they short of kitchen staff? Food quality/safety is of the upmost importance. Hopefully, it will return to its usual high standard.

Food and service are excellent! Highly recommended!! My dad and I are regulars and wouldn't have a curry from any where else!!! Treat yourself - you'll be glad you did!

An absolutely wonderful restaurant; the food is only surpassed by the charm and hospitality of the staff, including the owner, who is the consummate host.

Excellent curry here yesterday evening with two friends. Everything was perfect. The Chicken Tikka was so tender. Rice cooked to perfection and nicely seasoned. Naan's were spot on. Tikka masala flavoursome and not too sweet. Everything was hot. Great service and waiters weren't pushy which is always a plus in a curry house. Five stars all round. I cannot wait to return. One of the best Indian dining experiences I have ever had. My friends said the same. 5*.

Awful takeaway - ordered vegan food and the curry had paneer in it. Bad experience - don’t list food as vegan when it’s not!

First visit for a while but we received a very warm welcome. Went for the Early Dining offer which was excellent value. We had a variety of starters and main dishes, all were really tasty, good sized portions and well presented. Enjoyed the draft Cobra aswell. Restaurant became busy later in the evening, and we were not surprised given the excellent food and good atmosphere. We will be returning much sooner next time!

Had a fantastic meal here last night with friends. Food, service were both excellent at at a very reasonable price. Staff all went the extra mile to ensure we had a very memorable evening. This was one of the best Indian meals I have ever had. Highly recommend this venue. Huge thanks to you all and we will be back very soon.

The restaurant was cold (but the staff brought our two portable heaters (which did help ) Had a King prawn dish ... I counted three prawns in it . Poor value for money .

Decided to try this restaurant as haven’t been for a couple of years. Decor and ambiance are great improvement, food was delicious and service great. This will be our new go to Indian .

I went there with four friends last night. The staff were very friendly and attentive and the restaurant was clean and nicely laid out. We started with poppadoms, which were fresh and crispy and the sauces were really nice. For starter I had Malai Kebab, cooked perfectly, with fresh salad. My main was chicken dhansak, which is normally hot. I like dhansak but it's normally too hot for me, so their chef made me a medium hot. My meal was very tasty and my friends confirmed they also enjoyed their meals. Will definitely go there again.

We ate here last night to celebrate a birthday. The service was great special thanks to Jay and Rishikesh for looking after us so well. Even a birthday plate appeared - nice touch. Food was delicious and having a complimentary drink always a bonus! Will definitely return.

This is what £33 pounds of Ginger gets you With 2 breads which along with the curry had absolutely no flavour not even salt Absolutely disappointing and the customer service. Well we were trying to decide which Indian restaurant in Hayes to go to. Then we thought we’ll we haven’t been to Gingers in ages so let’s go there. That was an excellent decision and we had a really wonderful evening. All the staff are brilliant, the food was excellent and the ambiance was incredible. Loads of people enjoying a great night. We realise that we’ve forgotten how amazing it is to go out and just enjoy yourself after Covid. So book a table and have a great meal out and forget all the troubles of the world for a few hours.

Great company. Fantastic food. Loved the duck and lamb shaslik. Staff fantastic as ever. Thank you for the free drink.

Gingers used to be excellent but sadly after the takeaway last night, we will never eat there again. The Chicken Dopiaza was devoid of flavour. The chicken tikka masala had hardly any chicken in and was the strangest colour. The bombay potatoes were warm soggy...

We have eaten at Gingers on a number of occasions. Good quality Indian food and friendly service. Varied menu Typically always popular and busy but service is normally efficient. Recommended

As well as the standard dishes, there's a good selection of different 'Chef's Recommendations'. Service was pleasant enough if a bit casual. All our food was good quality, with plenty of flavour. A bit pricier than most but worth it.

Great food and spot on service, the special banquet offer is excellent value. Two couples had a really enjoyable evening. Very busy but the Staff coped very well. I recommend the Railway Curry which is a specialty Lamb dish.

We've been here multiple times. The food is delicious and the service is excellent - very friendly and they recognise their customers which is important for a local place like Hayes. The range of dishes is very good and we've never had a bad one. Everything tastes fresh. They also have great veggie dishes and a Paneer Tikka which we haven't found anywhere else. My only recommendation would be to provide lime pickle as standard with the poppadoms and get a better quality mango chutney. Otherwise keep up the great work Ginger!

Have visited Ginger on several occasions and have always enjoyed our meals. Service is friendlier than average and food is a high standard and nicely presented. There was a little conflicting information on what the banqueting night included but all resolved amicably. The restaurant was very busy but we didn't feel rushed. Will definitely carry on dining here.

We had a Friday night meal out here. The restaurant was not too busy. It took ages to order a drink. The food was ok but not much more. Generally a bit underwhelming.

We picked this as location suited but most of the 30 did coming a curry would go down well. We booked well in advance and they let us do the usual decorations and they did the buffet for us.

I haven't been to Ginger for a while, but went with friends for Wednesday banquet night. Even though the restaurant was full (do book), the service was quick and efficient. The food was well cooked and spicy enough for my taste, with a wide selection available, some of which are peculiar to this restaurant. We will certainly not leave it as long before we visit again.

Went for the Sunday Buffett, very good welcome and friend Key service, the starters was served to us at the table. We then ordered the rice and bread and helped ourselves to the meat selection very good food and good value for money will be back when next free for Sunday lunch.

Returned again to Gingers, and took advantage of the 'early bird' £10.95 menu (papadum with relishes, starter, main, rice/naan) which was excellent value. We started with four large Onion Bhajis and a well-filled Prawn Puri, both excellent dishes and almost a meal in themselves, followed by Chicken Balti/ and a Chicken Shaslick, which came out sizzling and was exceptionally tasty. Shared a rice (plenty for two) and a plain naan, washed down with draft Cobra. Service was also excellent, and the staff are always friendly and informative about the dishes. Well recommended!

We have sampled a few Indian restaurants around the area and this is far up there with one of the best! Delicious food - the chef's specialities are divine and the customer service was top-notch! Even gave us a complimentary drink at the end - so rare these days. Highly recommended!

I ordered a take away last night and I can firmly say it was the worst curry I have ever ordered. The quality was poor, greasy and had had a horrible taste. All four of us had different dishes and all felt the same.

It was freezing outside, so the warm welcome from Team Ginger was well received. We were seated - and out came the Poppadom - fresh coconut and fresh lime pickle raita, mango and onion salad. A cut above the norm for your local curry house - these dips had NOT been under the cling film all day.

Often visit Gingers with family, friends or work. The food is always nice and good service, never had any issues. They were also able to advise which foods were gluten free too.

Had dined here a number of times in the past but standards appear to have fallen as chicken off the bone dish had small bones in it. Meals were served and rice arrived later. Finally the tell tale sign was the standard of the Loo with lock coming off door and dirt around the sink. Also the chicken seemed like it had been pulled from either legs of wings as was long and thin not breast.

El director era fantástica, con el asesoramiento y la atención, y todo lo que no podría haber sido mejor (aunque raciones eran generosos, así que más ordenados: no fob que con raciones minúsculas aquí). Mi hija mencionó que la selección vegetariana era excepcional.

Nos arriesgamos un martes por la noche y volveremos! La comida era deliciosa, el servicio era genial, con cada miembro educado y cortés. Arroz de hongos será recordado como de hecho tenía setas frescas y no como otros restaurantes indios donde no puedes incluso ver un hongo! Tenemos ganas de probar otros platos.

We have been regulars here however the last two times have been disappointing. No lamb chop twice in a row also the service and food is not what it used to be, you used to get a small free drink after the meal but that's now gone from our last two visits. We will try somewhere else in the future. Not sure if new management or chiefs or under staffed they need to review before others start to do the same and go elsewhere.

We went for New Years eve and we were not disappointed! We have been to Gingers previously and enjoyed the food but this evening was very very good. Gingers put on a DJ and cleared the floor for dancing. Our meal was very good (party of 5) and everyone really enjoyed the food. Service was excellent cheerful and friendly. We will definitely be back!

Went with a group of friends who all reckoned the food was "really lovely" so what do I know.... well I know it was OK and on a par with others locally - but oh so mediocre really. Nothing awfully wrong, but nothing awfully good either. Suburban curry satisfying the non-discerning. The menu lists loads of dishes all with "an exciting blend of spices" but none of the descriptions actually say what spices so you have no idea what you might be getting. Would I eat here out of choice? No. I'd go to the Lahore Kebab House and get a proper curry. Would I tag along with friends? Probably - but wouldn't expect a great curry. Service was done with a smile.

Recently moved to Hayes, so trying out the various takeaway offerings locally. Shanghai, nope, not good. TomBell, bad chips. This place, faultless, absolutely loved it. Can see why it's packed. Look forward to returning in the future.

Great Family Meal and as I say in the title by far the best Chicken Naga in Kent! Also a nice touch on our previous visit was that they presented my 10 Year Old daughter with a free Lemon Sorbet when we were leaving( and already paid the Bill... So not fishing for tips!) as the waiter had over heard her saying she wanted one and meanies that we are saying NO!

We ate here on a Saturday the place was packed, but the service and the food didn't suffer at all. We will definitely return. If you are thinking of going on a Friday or Saturday I would strongly advise to book first.

We, friends, regularly visit ginger and I feel it is the best in Bromley because of their service and food. However, their service ups and downs because it gets really busy at the weekend and surprisingly people wait for table instead of going somewhere else. They just need to recruit some more staff at the weekend for the best service at the busiest time. I love to invite people here because of its range of delicious traditional curries and different house special dishes. And with friends, party is always like party here. And I thank them for the complimentary drinks on the house, lol.

I visited Ginger on a Wednesday night for their Banquet - 5 courses including everything except king prawns for £12. Great food, friendly service and clean restaurant. Only things I'd like to see is a hand wash bowl in the restaurant (like at Nandos) to save customers going all the way to the single toilet, and a Dyson or more powerful hand drier as it can get busy. Would definitely return

Newly moved to the area, and saw Ginger on the Hayes High Street, so gave it a go.The place was very busy and had to wait for a table but only around 5 Mins. The staff were attentive and set up a table as soon as it came free. Once seated and settled, it was time for poppadoms and dips which were still warm and the dips fresh and obviously made on site and you could tell the difference- a score there then. Ordered mains and drinks, only waited 12-15 minutes before the meals were served, we all enjoyed our choices, but the pick of the bunch was one of the house special dishes. Everytime staff passed they smiled and asked if all was well without being intrusive just being attentive to all their customers. All in all a good meal, keenly priced and all served up with great service, I am sure we will be back again and again.

Visited on a busy Friday night, food was very nice but there are to many tables in this restaurant. Drinks being spilled when people walking past tables not good. Service was average and some waiters not on the ball. I would visit again in mid week because the food is good but never again at weekends.

We often get a meal delivered. but it is nice to go in and eat now and then, really nice food and good service. Easy to park at night, well worth a visit.

Always loved this restaurant although there was a point where it got complacent. Glad to say Wednesday night visit and value was superb. It’s not your bog standard Indian restaurant they know how to play with flavors it is worth a try, good food and good service we have been several times to this restaurant and the service and the food has always been very good.

We have been to Ginger's a few times and each visit has been first class. A good, varied, menu and all the dishes we have eaten have been of a high quality. I particularly like chicken madras, and the flavour/spices are just right for me - and the sauce is not bright red as in some Indian restaurants! The staff are always welcoming and helpful e.g. there were no limes with the poppadums on our last visit but this was quickly offered once we mentioned this to the staff. An excellent all-round restaurant and good value.

I am a global traveller and I have foods that I typically order from Indian restaurants. I requested Gingers 'chicken tikka'; it was the best I have ever had. My companion ordered the 'salmon shaslick' and was estatic about the deep and complex herbal infusions.Our waiter (and co-owner) was polite, friendly and effecient.

I only really have dry tandoori dishes in Indian restaurants due to the sauces not really agreeing any longer!! The big advantage of this is you can properly access the quality of the meat and the attention to spicing and cooking... I'm pleased to say the chicken was very well spiced and nicely cooked staying succulent. Everyone else on the table had positive comments also.. The only slight negative was that drinks orders were a little slow and were wrong on a couple of occasions.. I would return!

For 3 years I have been a frequent diner here. I return along with various friends because we always had an enjoyable time here. The food is typically first class served fresh and hot, the service very friendly we always received a warm and genuine welcome. The sunday buffet is very good. They also have a large A La Carte menu portions large and the menu priced fairly. The restaurant is clean. HOWEVER. In recent months there appears to have been a change in staff and management .... it is no longer friendly, the staff ignored us, the food remains good although scrimp and other foods liked by our vegetarian friend has been removed. The tradition of being given, on departure, a small glass of port, sherry, liquor or spirit has ceased.

If you're hungry and fancy a good quality Indian meal. Gingers may not be the best place to order from as after placing order and chasing 1.30 hours later they claim you didn't answer. If you want to get on in the food delivery business it is imperative that in your business model you have the ability to fulfill the delivery part through. Amateurs

Ginger has been a fixture in Hayes for a number of years. Clearly more popular than its two competitors on Station Approach, it's appeal derives from slightly unusual menu choices that are a cut above the traditional suburban indian options. Clean and well managed, Ginger provides a great choice and a warm atmosphere.

Have been many times normally mid week the place itself is very nicely done out and the quality of the food has always been very good had the tandoori mixed grill for main this time and it was superb all in all a very good Indian with attentive polite service and at a very good price always a drink on the house at the end which is great up with the best in the area will be back very soon.

went to this restaurant on the recommendation of a work colleague who had said the food was very good. The place was packed on a Wednesday night, surely a good sign. The service was efficient from the moment we walked in, so we had no reason to think that boded well for the food. However, this was not the case. More of the same average food full of colouring and flavouring, such as is standard fare from all the other indian restaurants. Won't return despite the low prices!

The food is nice here. We have eaten here a few times and have not been disappointed. It is a busy restaurant as they do take aways too. The take away portions are a good size and just as tasty as in the restaurant.

Met some friends for a catch up Friday evening and decided to try Gingers. Didn't book and wanted to eat around 7.30 but as only 3 of us thought it wouldn't be an issue, we were right! Got a table straight away and as we haven't seen each other for a while probably outstayed our welcome by not leaving until 9.30 but we didn't get any pressure from the staff. Onto the food.....the choice was good with the chefs recommendations quite extensive. Wine choice was limited but some good options for the different meals ( we settled on a rose blush) I had the lamb rogan which was delicious and presented to the table with flourish. My only criticism was the 3 meals didn't come at the same time and were a few minutes apart, considering there were only 3 of us I didn't think this was a large logistical issue! Overall very pleased we tried Gingers and will definitely be back, if only for the lamb rogan!

Used this takeaway for the first time. Good choice of menu and the food was very tasty. We pre ordered by phone and collected the food ourselves and the waiting time was reasonable and ready for collection as advised on the phone.

In december 2013 I wrote a very positive review because I have had some great meals at Gingers. Sadly my last two recent visits have not been good resulting in this report. The staff have changed, the service has gone downhill and more of a concern so has the food. We visited this sunday lunchtime. The buffet was not ready until 2pm , the food was not hot enough and this needed to be brought to the attention of the staff. The selection is also more limited and not topped up, this includes the salad. I hope the management read this report and take action to avoid losing regular customers

This is one of our favourite take aways in Bromley. The food is fantastic, and delivery arrives in time.Favourites are lamb passanda, king prawn malabar, and paneer koftas makhani.Prices are reasonable, and food is fantastic.We have also eaten there (as well as take aways) and staff are attentive and friendly - highly recommended.
