GINGER PANDA in The Vale of Glamorgan

This used to be our go to Chinese... Atleast weekly... for over a year! NEVER EVER AGAIN ordered our usual including a chicken curry. What arrived can only be explained as a broth of curry coloured water, a few mushrooms, few carrots and a cube of chicken. Phoned to say wasn't happy (have never had to complain before) and was told they were happy with what they had sent out. We sent a video of the pot that was sent and even the lady on the phone (Rachael) said "oh christ that's awful" and said she would speak to the manager/chef. She spoke to them and their response was "tough, not sending anymore out and you must have eaten the chicken"!!! Absolutely disgusting customer service, even the lady on the phone was embarrassed at how awful they were, said they have had lots of complaints recently. Only good thing going for them was Rachael who was the poor middleman dealing with this. Never ever thought I'd post this but AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!! This is my go-to chinese. The waiter at the front desk is very friendly, we have never had our orders wrong and it always comes fresh and hot, very decent pricing with the munchie boxes as a smaller one can feed two people with leftovers for just over a £10.

DONT order !! They delivered and forgot the sauce we bought, called them and were told to have it without the sauce as we will be waiting ages for it?? 45 mins later the sauce arrives when the rest of our dry food was cold. Not good enough. Waste of money

We ordered food last night, now have to give them a 4 star on the food it was stunning, although not has hot as usual. We called at 6:55 and placed our order in which we were told there would be a 40 minute wait which to me is reasonable. We then called at 8:05 as still no sign of our food, lady was lovely and apologised and said the driver had left with the order so would be with us shortly. Got to 8:30 still no sign, we only live in rhoose so doesn’t take over 30 mins to deliver here, unless obviously driver has other orders which we kept in mind. Food did not arrive until 9:20, which is over a 2 hour wait although we were told 40 mins. Food was lukewarm. We then ate and went to bed. 10:51pm, my phone starts ringing, and repeatedly for the next 10 minutes, over 15 missed calls from 3 different mobile numbers so I answered and they said it’s Ginger Panda they’ve “knocked the door with my order and no answer” I explained already received so asked for what address it was, not even my address they said they had my number down for 3 different addresses, none of which was my address, I told them not to ring my number again, and they still kept ringing. Abysmal service and very rude on the phone to me.

I highly recommend u try out the tray menu absolutely enjoyed it

Had a really nice chicken chow mein last week 😋

We ordered on a Sunday evening, food arrived quicker than they said which was great. I ordered chicken Satay & spring roll, my partner had duck with a spring roll. I’ve never seen such a runny satay sauce and it didn’t taste like satay either, also, the spring roll was awful, we both agreed on that. Later that night I got sick and was very very sick for 4 days! We will not order there again

Ordered a Munchie box at 10:37pm rang at 11:06 was supposedly on its way then rang at 11:27 still on its way, contacted food hub for first time and they told them it was on its way at 11:45 then didn’t arrive till 12:18am, food turned up cold and soggy and with piles of grease or oil of some sort seeping on the side and the moment i bite into a chicken ball it was like a explosion on oil or grease in my mouth! Contacted food hub for a refund and the restaurant wanted the cold food back to examine, after reading reviews on people saying they sent it back and never received a refund I did not send it back. very poor customer service! Wouldn’t not recommend

Best place to get a Chinese and cater for all needs. Always make sure no prawns are cooked in my food. Front of house is very helpful too

Beautifully fresh food every time. Good size portions, nice ingredients. Only down side is a bit pricey but probably no more than most Chinese take aways. Have used for last few years and will definitely continue to x

Awful customer service. Missing item. Delivery driver took it back with the promise of returning. No food and no refund. Disgraceful.

Ordered the munchies box. Sorry to say it was not enjoyable. That much food in a box with foil results in soggy food. As for the taste....only the onions that accompanied the take away had any taste. Last but not least, there's simply not enough sauce provided. Sorry.

Best Chinese In Barry 😋 without a doubt. Their black bean sauce dishes and mushrooms dishes are very very tasty .

Used the place when it was great wall lovely food went there last night food was dry and not the same never go there again.

Brilliant food and fast delivery plus great vegetarian options. Ordered for 10 people, was freshly cooked and plenty to go around as well as being boiling hot. This will be my new Chinese from now on.

Just order ribs and the where bunt babaqu sauce look like curry sauce nomel nice but disappointed 😔

Awfull service placed order and was told it would be with me in 45- 60 mins, after 1hr and a half rang to ask we’re food was and was told it’s left, half hr later was told the driver was lost, food turned up which was freezing and rang takeaway to ask for food as the order had taken 2 hrs to come and they said yes that’s fine they would re make it, half hr later a child rings me up from the takeaway to say they are to busy to re make and there’s nothing they could do, I asked for a refund and they said it would be with me in half hr, 1 hr later no refund. I then proceeded to ring up to test to see how busy they are and sure enough they were able to take another Order over the phone but the minute I gave my address they wanted nothing to do with it. Strongly advise everyone to avoid this takeaway and it’s underaged staff.

Absolutely disgusting food, chips were stale chicken was undercooked, curry was freezing, would give it a no star if possible, awful customer service would advice no one to order from this place never experienced such awful food and awful people in my life

Absolutely awful. Reheated chips, soft prawn crackers, freezing cold chicken curry. Requested money back and got told delivery driver would be coming back shortly, waited 2 hours for him to ask if he could take my food for "examination" before having my money back which I refused. Rang the take away back up to be told I wasn't having my money back. Awful customer service, disgusting food.
