Called in for a quick snack. Had the cream tea for two. The warm scones, cream and jam were all delicious and the service was friendly and quick and a reasonable price.

Great find on a rainy day! Just what we were looking for, for a quick bite to eat for lunch. Dog friendly. Nice location in the town centre.

The Vegetable wrap consists of what seems like a thick tomato sauce with sweetcorn in. No veg ! Yuk. The goats cheese quiche slice is no more than 2” wide, barely enough for a child let alone a man! Won’t go there again. Sorry!

Lovely family run cafe. Key thing for us was that they were dog friendly. Two adults, two teenagers and a dog. We had some tasty paninis and two cakes, as well as a few drinks. The service was quick and it was well priced. Definitely worth a visit.

A lovely friendly family-run business far better than the overly-expensive, overly-hyped coffee shop chains in the town. Lovely cakes, pleasant atmosphere and it deserves your support for a local business. Pop in and enjoy, we always do when visiting Ross on Wye

Over several years, I have been a regular customer of this café. However, this past Sunday marked an unusual experience, as I found myself compelled to leave. Normally a reliable choice for lunch, I had decided to bring my children and elderly aunt along for lunch. Upon our arrival, the ambiance was noticeably tense, with customers anxiously awaiting their food and drinks, while the staff appeared overwhelmed. We were seated at our table, but after a considerable wait, I had to approach the staff to request menus. Subsequently, we had to inquire about placing our order. We finally managed to place our order for both food and drinks, including water, which the children desperately wanted due to the sweltering weather. However, our patience was tested as we waited and waited. After some time had elapsed, I decided to follow up on our order and was informed that we would have to endure an additional 10 to 15-minute wait. While I accepted this delay, I requested that our drinks be served promptly. Our water and coffee were eventually brought to our table. Subsequently, we endured another 20-minute wait before I approached the staff again to inquire about our sandwiches. To my surprise, I was informed that my order had been mistakenly cancelled because the waitress assumed I only wanted our drinks. Regrettably, we left the café with an elderly relative who was hungry, and children who were growing increasingly irritable due to their hunger. I understand that miscommunications can occur, and I appreciate the staff's apologies. It is evident, however, that there is a need for additional training for the Sunday staff, as well as a greater emphasis on attentiveness to customers. Regular check-ins, particularly with customers who have been waiting for an extended period without receiving their food, would greatly enhance the overall dining experience.

Service very slow. Waitress bought menus but didn't say to order at the counter. Drinks and a piece of cake ordered took a long time to come out. Then waitress spilled a drink

Visited Ross on Wye whilst holidaying in the area and found this little gem for a cup of coffee! Such a warm welcome and a variety of gluten free options to choose from - often there is just one gluten free option, but there were four or five different cakes to start with (maybe because it is an independent and not part of a chain)! We had the millionaire slice which was delicious - it was a very warm day, so it was a little softer than usual but still tasted wonderful! We would most definitely recommend a visit, especially if you are gluten intolerant!

Lovely independent cafe with good coffee and great homemade cakes. A good alternative to the nearby boring chains.

Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. The menu was varied but not too much choice. We opted for jacket potato and a flat bread. Fresh and well presented.

Pleasant surroundings outside, unfortunately the food was not too a very high standard. Ham and piccalilli sandwich, ham tasteless (wafer thin and breaded, supermarket family pack springs to mind). Should have been advertised as a Piccalilli sandwich, Coffee was fine.

I absolutely love being in this place and it has a beautifully calm feel. However I am totally astonished by the dolls-house size servings for lunch- at normal lunch prices. I almost asked them if they hadn’t accidentally given me a kiddie’s portion - for a cheaper price- as for over £9 I got two slices of delicious small rye toast, about 7 very small lettuce leaves, 4 olives and a small pot of delicious dip. All very tasty but absolutely not a main course. I know I these are locally sourced ingredients but this felt really wrong. I will definitely return for post lunch coffees but will make sure to eat somewhere else where I can fuel up for lunch before hand.
