Service shocking, over an hour and a half waiting for food. Missed items from our order rang to ask for missing items got told we would receive them within 10 minutes 30 minutes later still waiting our food order is now cold. I then received a phone call to say I never order the items which I know I did and then the call handler was rude and constantly inturputing me when i tried to speak when going through my order. SHOCKING !!!!!

Illegally try to charge you for using a card stay away

Don't order from here ive been going for years but went downhill 😕 and literally 2 days ago found a maggot in my food I took pictures and sent it to trading standards be careful about this place

Argument over a hard pitta when there own menu states what you should get on your order, mix kebab with no tikka chicken tastes like lemon. Under cooked burger. Let's say I was a regular customer NOT anymore. I'd rather put money in the bin than waste it at gills golden fry.

FOOD IS ABSOLUTELY ROTTEN TO THE CORE BATTER IS LIKE CHICKEN BALL BATTER DRIPPING WITH GREASE I MEAN DRIPPING SONS SAUSAGE SUPPER WAS SOAKED IN FAT ITS HORRIBLE IT SHOULDNT EVEN BE ALLOWED TO SERVE FOOD

Bought 2 fish and 1bag of chips omg they were disgusting. Fish was dry no taste and chips were scrag ends. Phoned shop and they said we can send another bag of chips out. No thanks wouldn’t risk it. This place used to be the best for fish n chips now they are the worst.

The past few times I've ordered from here it has been either cold or they've missed something out. This time they included my burger bun but no burger. And it clearly looks like a burger was in there at some point too. So someone put it in then took it out for some reason and delivered it like that.

Someone forgot to put the cheese on the pizzas.... the box would have tasted less dry

Great service and friendly also excellent value for money and a lot for your money aswell no complaints what so ever! I’d recommend them over any around that area and once again a lot more food for your money and cheap too . Chips were proper chip shop chips ( not oven chips!) kabab meat nice and (plenty of it !) also was the chilli and garlic and pizza was nice aswell . Me and my fiancé got 2 pizzas 2 kabab meats 2 lots of chips separate in boxes with chilli and garlic on and including delivery came to £12 . How many other places around silksworth can offer you that?

Spend over £30 again this week, we gave the the benefit of the doubt after last time but wahh it’s gone down hill badly, I’m so gutted as this was my favourite chippy. Sort the chop suey rolls out please! They were huge and tasty but now they are an overcooked tiny spring roll 3” long and 3cm wide, you could chip a tooth biting in to this tasteless thing! These used to be the best!! The tikka chicken kabab was so small I’m still starving (picture is the full amount of meat after being unwrapped and placed in the tray) and the pizza my husband and kids got was just ok and over priced for the quality.

Don’t get the chop suey roll, they used to be delicious from here and worth the £1.80 but now it’s a burned mini spring roll (around 0.7” thick and 2.5” long. Burned on the inside?? And could chip a tooth 😫 this is the 2nd time we ordered such as we gave the Benefit of the doubt and had previously voiced concerns. Pizza ok

I think this has to be the worst fish and chips ever the fish was still cold inside and chips where horrendous rock hard dryed up only the peas where ok never again they weren’t for me it was my husbands tea 😳don’t waste your money very bad

Mexican cheese garlic bread was amazing also the chilli and garlic sauce is the best around.

Absolute joke! Ordered food and they didn't even bother to make.my order but told.me.they had so waited 2 hours and still nothing then turn the phones off and close the shop discrase of a service will boycot this shambles of a shop

Asked for kebab meat, chips and garlic and crabsticks and instead they gave us curry, chips and crabsticks. Theyre useless, since they have been taken over they have always been money hungry and always getting orders wrong. Woman infront wanted a cheeseburger changing into a veggie burger and was demanded £5 for it. Will not be going again

Every time I've been here they've came up trumps. Foods ok, pizzas ok. Haven't been in a while so I thought I'd give it a bash.....wished I'd never, it's going or gone right down hill. Had to repeat about 4 times what I wanted to different people, then when I got home to eat it, or my God....the majority of the chips had black bits which were small & inedible. Sorry but not going here anymore.

Ordered a kebab, gave me all the ingredients seperate and the butty was no where near the size to fit even half of it in

2 and half hours wait for food, was told an hour half later food was out with driver, and hour later still no food.. poor customer service, always order from here and never had a problem but won't order again

Vile place, discusting food always drowned in garlic sauce... waste of money wouldn't reccomend.

I asked for 2 mince pies and chips. They got them out of the freezer and "cooked" them. When I got home, one pie was steak and the other mince. BOTH were still cold in the middle. Absolute charlatans.

Kebab meat and garlic sauce, meat was cold and not cooked, pubic hair in the garlic sauce...exchanged for a curry chip butty thumb print through the bun, cold scraggy chips...would recommend not using this establishment

Just went to get one of the lunch time specials and it has 3.70 for what I got on the menu then when I get it they say 4.30 as they charge extra for if that's the case put 4.30 on menu not 3.70 as that is what people expect to pay not to be told its extra for sauce it's ridiculous.

Ordered @5:50pm order said it would be here for 6:15 pm been on phone twice to be told 1st time it's going to be another half hour juat been back on phone @7pm to be told out with driver could be 10mins or more so asked for to call the driver which coming from this work back ground I know can be done to be told no can't do that so asked to speak with manager to be told he just this min stepped out how convenient I can't comment on the food as I still don't have it gets even better just phoned back up as I have received a email for a meal yo pay for what is not even my order joke then to be told they can't find my order then to be told its coming on the next delivery over a hour and a half disgusting service

Takeaway chippy is amazing for quality of food and price - we have used this place a few times and it’s always been fab - always get what u order and in time - love it x

Really disappointed with last night's meal , normally food is perfect but what came was slop ... all food was swimming in garlic sauce tried to contact them to come and get the food but no answer so all went in bin , £17 not well spent

Worst ever. Chips full of black bits and fish fritter tasteless. Never again and it took forever, even though I was told 15 minutes.

Huge portions, mixed kebab with chips and garlic. Meat decent kebab meat...chicken cooked on the flat hotplate when you order and the chicken tikka well marinated and all tasted great as usual...cheapest mixed kebab I've found at £6.50.

Messed up order, over an hour late and food was cold. Wouldn't recommend! There is a reason the food is so cheap...

Absolutely shocking they have really went downhill!!! 😤😤 We asked for kebab meat to be separate to a pizza and chips and they decided to put it on top😡😡. When I went back over and confronted them he didn’t give a real answer. This place has really gone downhill 📉📉 over the years and it’s getting worse and worse!! This place has gone right downhill went in yesterday 14/4/22 the staff were running about like headless chickens someone was on the phone complaint of something missing out of there order, I had to tell them 3 times what I wanted. When I got home part of my order was missing so had to drive back to the shop to pick 2 sausages up for the kids! Wish I hadn’t bothered the chips were all chip ends and tasted like they been sat all day, my partner ordered a kebab they didn’t even bother heating the pitta up which wasn’t too big a deal but the salad was literally hand picked out of a big bucket and flung on so had a bag of lettuce and half a cucumber on! No red cabbage nothing no care was taken they even charged me extra for the tiny chilli sauce since you only get 1 tiny sauce with the kebab. Wont be going back here was no organisation nothing and food was bleak ! Disappointed !

ordered a half and half pizza tonight, took 1.5 hours to arrive which tbf is quickest its been in a while. It arrived and was all one type of pizza. The chicken on it was over cooked so very dry then to top it off the delivery driver left my gate wide open so when i let the dog out she done a runner! Used to be great service and amazing food but its been a let down the last few times. Doubt ill bother again

What they actually charge YOU & what the menu says are 2 different prices & it doesn't turn out in your favour, it was our local for 15 years & we dont even live in Farra, NOT any more, 1 lost customer, do they not think a regular will know how much their order is 🤔 I think someones been reading the book "how to lose customers for dummys"

Absorlutley disgusted orded my hubby fish n chips, I wanted a batter bun with small slash of curry wanted to charge me £2.50 for the batter bun considering ya get batter for. Nowt bun aye 30p splash curry 10p half hubby chips were black ffs no more like be going elsewhere Ps staff mint management disgrace

they fish, kebabs and pizzas are lovely. If you order, pick it up as unfortunately they delivery service is not great long waiting times, cold food. Room for improvement in they customer service.

Nice food , poor staff over telephone , says it closes at 10 30 , that's Incorrect couldn't get a delivery at 9.50 PM....

I have been a regular at this shop for some time never have I experienced anything like today asked if I can pay by card yes but I need my mobile ok so webt back to car and got it there payment process is a txt msg click it enter your card details number etc so if this is a new card on the device it's gonna be asking address etc like with me as this card wasn't saved in my Google pay but the whole process took ten minutes and my food is on the counter getting cold it's holding the shop up keeping me in there longer than I want to be the 2mtr rule was out the window during this the card payment will COST YOU 0.50p and Maybe your health this at a time during a pandemic so a quick idea for just sausage and chips was a failure and keeping costs down I may as well have went to Macdonald's and waited in there que new owners are going to upset a lot of regular people from the local community I will be thinking of an alternative if I feel the need again

If I could have gave o stars tonight I would have. Used to use this takeaway a lot. Tonight it took ages for delivery. Then they missed a item rang up to be told the next delivery would be in my area bit food will be ate by then. They will get driver to drop it in. They.ll give us a bottle of pop next time just remind people when you phone up next time. Well if they dropping rest of order why can't they bring pop. Food was icy cold and left it all don't think will be ordering again shame because it used to be really nice

Tried to order off just eat and to begin with the order was confirmed. Over 30 minutes later the order was cancelled saying they were unable to deliver! Only gave 1 star as cant give none! I'll not be attempting to order from here again and i'll also tell others about the poor service! Unfortunately unable to leave feedback on just eat because they decided not to bother delivering.

First time order from gills golden fry lovely puzzas..but ordered at 6.40 for 8.00 was informed it was running late by 10 mins but had to phone at 8.25 as still had not received it.. chips missing when asked delivery driver was told I'm just the delivery driver....not a first good experience unfortunately

Not good tonight. Food arrived well over an hour after ordering and the food was barely warm and pizzas were tough. This has happened a few times recently. This takeaway was always lovely not sure what's changed.....

Went there today and when I got home I had half a bag of chips, the pitta bread hadn't been warmed through and I didn't get my large garlic sauce I paid for. I phoned up about not getting my garlic and I was asked if I could run back round for it? What whilst my tea was getting cold or after I'd finished eating my tea without my garlic?

Very nice only one bad experience of bad portion size on chips but have returned nevertheless

Ordered a pizza for collection, was told to come in 15 mins which I did. I was ignored by the staff for 10 mins at which point I walked out of the shop.

Ordered 3 7inch pizza’s, got home and they weren’t even cooked, rang up and was told to return as they didn’t believe me!!! Return when I have just drove home 10minutes away JOKE!! , instead driver came and took pizzas away to be told that I had eating a few slices from each pizza so the left overs only equals to one full pizza, total piss take when I told them that not all the pizza was affected only certain slices they said the affected food is only one pizza so will only refund 3.50 instead of the full price for all the pizza’s. I won’t be returning to this fish shop again...

just orderd chilli chip butty "with other things" and a large carton of chilli........ the chilli tastes like Jared mint sauce and the chips were under cooked....... totally awful ..... but have no idea what's going on with the chilli sauce like that has to be the worst ????? it's just mint

Ordered battered burger when I went in got ignored the girl behind the counter ordered it too but still no burger ended up with a sausage after waiting over half an hour for the order. Forgot the chilli sauce for the kebab meat and ordered 20 onion rings paid for 20 got home and only gave me 10 so all in all not a very good experience

We ordered the chicken kebab box when it came it was freezing cold with all the food including the garlic bread which we paid an extra £1.50 was all rammed into one pizza box we waited an hour and half for delivery. When I rang to complain the girl says she couldn't do any as her boss wasn't in so she would have to phone him. I said so can my kids eat a bit then she says no because then they wouldn't replace it. Plz don't eat in this disgusting place because once u have paid they don't wanna know if sum thing is wrong all the food went in bin I hated having to rate it a one star 😞

The £1.50 offer for pizzas at dinner time is really good however more chips would be better only seem to get about 7 chips
