Giggling Squid - Leamington Spa in Warwick

Nice atmosphere and good service. All the food was nice and tasty, however some dishes were definitely more stand out than others. Unfortunately the cocktails on the other hand were very disappointing, watery, weak and little flavour. If I am paying £10+ for a drink I expect it to match the quality of the food.

Excellent food and fantastic service. Alannah who looked after was really helpful and everyone in the restaurant were kind and very courteous.

Mid week dinner and we were the last ones there at 9.30, doesn't help the atmosphere. All the food was good although we had the feeling there were a lot of vegetables bulking out some of the dishes. Staff delightful.

Decent Thai food and service to match. Melting beef is my favourite dish. Thoroughly recommend.

We didn't book, but got a table for 2 on Saturday lunchtime (timed it just right) it got very busy shortly afterwards. The staff were friendly and professional. The food was delicious, highly recommend the cashew stir fry prawn, crispy chicken and the Thai salad. Also the Thai rose wine was so crisp and fruity. We'll be back!

limited menu - no soups ! expensive and disappointing

Food here is pretty nice but quite small portions for the hefty price. Worst part was a sneaky 8% service charge that is automatically placed on the bill which came to over £50 for us and we did t see this as no paper bill was supplied as the service was very slow so had to chase waiters for food then drinks then to pay. I will not be taking my business meal here again.

We came here for my dad’s 70th birthday, the food and service were fantastic which was even more impressive with how busy they were. My mum is in a wheelchair and they couldn’t have been more accommodating and welcoming. All the staff were just wonderful especially the manager (Ruby?). Thanks so much to the team for making it such a lovely evening for us!

Absolutely amazing Thai food. We came here for our anniversary as my wife always wanted to come here due to the lovely interior. The service was outstanding and the food so tasty! The panang curry was divine! Everything tasted very fresh and fragrant. We'll definitely be back for more!

10/08/24. Another visit and another fantastic meal and lovely customer service added more photos. 21/09/23 Booked a table in Leamington Giglging squid for mums 86th birthday. Could not be treated better, mum was very happy, host was very friendly and food was super tasty with a lot of flavours I never tried before in other Thai places. We had starters and mains. I took photos of starters but forgot to take pics of mains as it looked and tasted so good, that I forgot about my camera. It was a late lunch but place still was busy. We had doggy bags in very nice containers too. Highly recommend for family events and we will be back again and again. Had another perfect meal there again since my last review. Jasmin tea was amazing. Added more photo of food.

Wow. We came for a family meal with two kids and sat at a very well laid out and positioned table for 10. Stunning restaurant which I think used to be ToyTown where we went to get our toys as kids, the Super dry. Great spot on the corner outside the mall. The staff and service were absolutely wonderful. The food, wow. Very tasty dishes all around. One suggestion, don't get the mini dessert unless you are a child. Will definitely be back. I hope this business keeps growing and thriving.

Absolutely delicious food, a lovely restaurant with a great atmosphere. Staff are really friendly and helpful, always a pleasure to eat here.

I have only given 3 stars which is a shame. My reason being charged £1.85 for a shot of lime cordial and £1.85 for soda. So for a lime soda £3.70 extortionate and utterly spoilt my experience and because of this I will never return. Our waitress Angily at Leamington Spa was brilliant. Shame but I will not be ripped off!!!!

Nice food and relaxing environment

The best and most authentic Thai food I’ve had outside of Thailand ❤️ such a treat to find Som Tam and soft shell crab curry on the menu. Just amazing 🤩

Ribs were tender and tasty, very much recommend. Got the marinated steak dish with slow cooked beef and it was supposed to be served ‘pink’ and came out grey and chewy. Squid starter came out at the same time as the mains but was very nice, and the Picpoul wine was lovely. Jasmine rice was dry. Service from Lucy was friendly and fast. For £45 a head there are better places.

The food was ok, it wasn't like "Wow" the two dishes we had were very salty. Also, the dessert menu should say that they all contain coconut milk as an allergen. One staff member did not suggest an alternative, which most restaurants I have been to has.

Always wanted to try thai food, and not disappointed. Lovely restaurant and service. (Service charge included in bill). Really enjoyed the experience.

I've been to a couple of the giggling squid branches, first time to the Leamington one. I really enjoyed the paneang curry. Wouldn't recommend the thai-cini bite (didn't taste of much, and we only got two tiny bites for over £5...) our main waitress was pretty good however they were quite busy, one of the other staff didn't seem to be in a great mood - hope they are ok.

I absolutely love these restaurants, Leamington Spa might have been my favourite visit so far as we did try quite a few dishes including some of the new dishes. the Fishermans feast was unbelievably good. the only downside is that there isn't one close enough to us up north. Fa and Kay were very helpful and showed great knowledge of the menu

Horrible experience. Food was cold, saving up on microwave probably. Staff was bored and kept walking up and down by our table looking out the window, added service charge even they did not deserve. Food was blunt and cold, definitely not freshly cooked as they brought it 5 min after we placed the order, cold. I wouldn't be surprised to find out it's actually ready meal from a supermarket, just can't think of any supermarket that sells such tasteless Tai curry.

Tasty and different take on Thai dishes. Food was very good as was the decor of the room. Overall a very nice experience. Not at all cheap, we spent around £80 for 2 courses and a drink each, but nice as a treat.

My all time favourite place to visit 😍 my husband and I are obsessed with this place. We usually order the Golden Money Bags and Chicken Satay for starters and for mains, it’s the Giant Butterfly King Prawn Pad Thai and Salmon Paneang with coconut rice. Absolutely delicious 👌🏾 would also highly recommend the Strawberry cooler mocktail!

Best Thai food restaurant in Leamington Spa. Bit pricey but the food is excellent and very delicious! You can't stop saying "wow" "yum" in every bite" Lucy was accommodating and made the experience much more enjoyable!

Food was good, service was quick. Unfortunately the night we were there, a very noisy large group overtook half the restaurant so it was hard having a conversation. Not the restaurant's fault of course.

INCREDIBLE from start to finish First time here and so impressed. Venue is stunning, amazing atmosphere and really friendly greeting in arrival. Great drinks menu to choose from. We had pork belly, squid, prawn, chicken satay and wings to start and each dish was beautifully presented and tasted as good as it looked. I kept dipping my finger in the sauces when the food was gone it was so good. I had the jungle curry with jasmine rice for my main and that was one of the best things I've ever tasted. They had warned me it was spicy but it was so well put together that the spice was perfect, hot but full of delicious flavours. The green peppercorns were so good and really gave it that authentic taste. Everyone was really pleased with what they had. (Can't remember the names but it was steak and ribs.) The staff were very attentive and friendly. Overall we had a perfect night and would 100% recommend.

Lobe this place. We visited without reservation but still got the table. It was a special birthday for my husband and my daughter. We celebrated it with my other daughter who goes to uni there. Food is delicious as always. I've been to one in Cardiff.

Arrived without a reservation and the staff are amazingly welcoming. Ambiance is lovely, all low seating allowing for you to see throughout the restaurant. Ordered some prawn crackers, sticky chicken wings and crispy squid for starters, whilst not the biggest portion the food was incredible and to be fair, after the mains you are full. The squid is amazing! A couple of pad Thais for mains and the chicken massaman was superb! Staff excellent, food excellent, location excellent - I would recommend for sure.

fantastic food not cheap but well worth it

The best Thai restaurant there is - cannot recommend it enough! I've lost count how many times we've been here, it's our go to every time! The quality of the food is immense and the service is exceptional. Tapas menu is great when you want it all!

The atmosphere was good and the staff quite attentive. However, they did not come around to check if the food was ok and to be honest, it really wasn't. It was very bland and tasteless. I should have complained at the time, but my partner ate most of mine even though he didn't like any of the food either, h e was just hungry. Very disappointing, won't be going back

It's ok but it's not authentic Thai food.

First time at this chain, had been recommended & couldn't fault. We couldn't decide what to have so ordered & shared starters & mains between the four of us. The pork belly starter melts in your mouth & the garlic hake was one of the best fish dishes I've had for a while. The thai white one was lovely & refreshing. Highly recommend.

My experienced is always superb. The staff are all professional and go & beyond with there service. The food are excellent. Nothing to complain about. Enjoy the ambiance of the resto which is really finely decorated. A must resto not to miss when visiting Leamington Spa.

The service was excellent, but I can not to say the same about food. I ordered noodles with prawns and it was not fresh. Prawns was not cooked straight away. It was just reheated.

One of my absolute favourite restaurants ever! A definite family favourite, we eat here every time I am back at university. The staff are so lovely and recognise me every time I am there! The lunch menu is so great for value and tastes very very good!

The Thai cuisine at this place is absolutely fantastic, and the customer service is truly exceptional. They've got a fantastic variety of starters, and everything looks amazing. Just a heads up, the portions aren't huge, but the whole vibe is really great.

Just define the food, atmosphere and staff. It rare to find a place where you feel like you are going out for couple time for a nice classy meal. This is the place and they ha e a cook book. We have it for Christmas 🎄. Cannot wait to try it out.

First time going I really loved the place then me and my partner went again. We walked out before receiving our order because we caught a member of staff pointing at us laughing followed by the other member of staff turning around and joining in laughing while looking at us. I don’t know what they found funny. My guess is because we requested to eat in the corner of the room as my partner is anxious. Anxiety is no laughing matter. Im disgusted in their behaviour. Don’t go there.

I enjoyed the pad thai that I ordered and the service was good despite being very busy when I was there. The jasmine tea I had was also very fragrant.

Went yesterday and had a great date there. We really enjoyed the tapas as well as the Thai curry alongside the original ice cream flavours in our dessert. The team was very friendly and welcoming.
