Been coming here for two and a half years so it’s basically my local — as a uni student, drunk, sober, happy, stressed, they always look after me. The food is top-tier (chips always crispy, curry sauce is chefs kiss), but it’s the people that make it even better. They make me laugh no matter what state I’m in. Proper legends.

Bought a portion of chips and saw awful food cross contamination. The guy used tongs covered in chicken and all sorts of other food to fill the chip box. This is awful food hygiene.

Nice restaurant is a nice, light and fast restaurant. All orders are taken out. Excellent and quick treatment. The food is good in general, and of course quick and light meals, whether shawarma, a regular burger, or with cheese. Drinks are free with the order. I wish you a pleasant meal with your loved ones.

Kebab was un edible, attitude was shocking. Don’t deserve a business. Asked for extra cabbage and told me I had to pay more if I wanted more salad after giving me a table spoon sized portion only had red onion brown lettuce and cabbage. Don’t visit this place. Don’t waste your money

I am really disappointed with my recent experience at. Not only was the service slow and the food mediocre, but I was shocked and appalled by the racist remark made by one of the staff members. It's unacceptable for any establishment to tolerate such behavior. I will not be returning, and I strongly advise others to reconsider eating here.

Got out of bed for cheesy chips large, the portion was more like a regular and the amount of cheese they put on I might as well of just got normal chips because there was hardly any cheese on there!!!

Go here if you want spoilt food and have racist remarks hurled towards you if you complain and ask for a refund. Been going here for three years and had an absolutely horrible experience today. Ordered a regular kebab and received about 4 pieces of meat on it, asked staff about it and got a rude response, slammed food on counter and gave a snide remark. Also asked for garlic mayo and received something that definitely wasn't.

Amazing place highly recommended When I was ill and having issues eating food, Gidas really save me. Quick cheap and delicious, was really close with a nice atmosphere and amazing service I usually get a doner wrap with garlic and chill sauce.

You don't understand the amount of times Gidas has come in clutch on a night out or doing an all nighter

Please do not eat here!!! The Gida express Portsmouth I went in here after a night out on Saturday and I asked for an allergy menu. I was told by one member of staff they did not have one and to speak to the manager. I spoke to be manager and was also told by him they did not know about allergies. I went on to explain but your standing under a sign that says to ask about intolerances and allergies and by law you have to know this information. I was told that was not the case and I was just looking for a fight because I was asking this information and I could take a picture of him because he did not care. I was completely shocked by this as yes I had a drink, but I knew what I was doing, saying and acting and could not believe the treatment I received because of asking about allergies. Again I explained it is law to know this information especially as people have died from such reactions and once again I was told they did not need to abide by this and it goes without saying I did not buy anything from there. However, I would not wish for someone to go through the same thing as me, as it was distressing being laughed at by a group of men working there while I had this interaction and also with all the customers watching, even though I knew I was not in the wrong and had the right to ask for an allergy menu/info, so please do not risk any harm to yourselves by eating in here. I will be also contacting the council about this and taking it further.

absolutely abysmal. Shambolic m8. Stale kebab cooked in a toastie, and I dont know how but they failed to cook the chips correctly. How do you fail to cook chips bro? It's not looking good bruv. Need to know your health and safety, felt like I was eating the grill itself. No oil was on it

I’m not usually the person to badly review food places but I caught Norovirus here Saturday after a night out. Some chips and two 111 calls later and I can honestly say I will never be visiting here again. I’ve never been so extremely Ill in my life. Very poor food hygiene and I would give 0 stars if I could.

Mixed meat kebab wasn't bad, had a good portion of meat, salad a little sparse, would have been a higher star if a bit more salad.. The chili and garlic sauce combo was good, recommended by Hassan (nice guy, should get a pay rise). The wrap was ok, just a little dry.

Best doner kebab I've ever had! Meat was tasty and the salad was very fresh. Many kebabs I've had at other places are often greasy, making the pita soggy - But not here; the food is always of a high standard. I've been going to Gida regularly for the last 6 months and have never been disappointed by the quality of food or friendliness of staff - Highly recommended!

I ordered 3 kebabs. One was right. The second was almost right. The third (mine - typical) completely off. I ordered a chicken shish, lettuce, onion and ketchup. I received a stale pitta & 6 small pieces of chicken, drowned in Garlic mayo... Checked the app - I definitely ordered correctly. I checked bag, receipt says I also ordered correctly. I'll include pictures, as tried to call and rectify - they dont answer. Needless to say, I won't be using again.

Very poor quality. I ordered cheese curry chips with mix doner kebab. Let me tell you. Absolutely not worth 11 pounds! The chips didn't even look like chips anymore it was more of a potato mush mixed with cheese and curry. To the kebab i ordered salad. The amount of it i got was just funny. There was one piece of tomato and 2 slices of cucumber. The meat was so heavy and salty that it made my stomach wiggle. No fresh vegetables added.

Small tasteless and overpriced kebab, only reason for existence is to try to take advantage of the students. Avoid, there are so many better options about!

Tasty beef and chicken burgers..

When I ordered first they deliver good food, when I ordered regularly they started decreasing the quality and quantity.

I place a order last night through uber And they messed up my order, The wrap was freezing cold This Happened twice now, And the sauce in the Burgers was wrong

Approximately 2 am in the morning went to order the simplest thing on the menu, a Lamb doner at around 6 am i start getting intense stomach pain. I couldn’t fall to sleep at all and was rolling around in my own sweat all of morning. All the while projectile vomiting and diarrhoea every 20/30 minutes. It’s sad because the staff were very friendly and welcoming and didn’t have any problems with them at all.

Never again. The chicken in the kebab was greasy, leathery. iInedible. 👎

We just ordered my girlfriend food is amazing but I simple asked a Doner with chicken meat as I don't eat Lamb.They did deliver with lamb meat ...Also they didn't pick up the phone .

Ordered from Deliveroo, had amazing "reviews". Turns out the food is trash. Was not hot as well and extremely bland. They also put a lot of MSG preservative (Dp) and I was shocked as i'm pretty sure it's banned in the UK. The kebabs are extremely bland and just fat. I would not order, huge mistake.
