Needing to put its boast to the test, I was first surprised at the prices, then the range of treats on offer 😊 Flat white and a dark chocolate Tunnock’s Teacake. I cannot testify to other establishments in town, but this was the best coffee I have had in ages. If in the area, take the weight off your feet and rest awhile with a very tasty coffee.

I had the toasted tea cake with coffee and it was delicious. This was how I wish all Coffee Houses were like, it was highly pleasurable.

Just off the main street in a courtyard behind the shops we found this small café. The lady serving was very friendly and made two very good cups of hot chocolate at a very reasonable price, on this occasion we declined the cake, maybe next time.

Gerry's feels like home. It has a fragrance of toast, and is snug, and cozy. The art is appealing, and the music plays at the perfect level. The coffee is a delight - as is the service - and the cake amazing.

We found this great little cafe by chance last week. It's situated in an interesting, quiet little courtyard complete with a rather unusual brick-built 3-piece suite. The cafe has a shelf of art-books to read while you relax in the very comfortable leather chairs. It seems to be a community hub for local people and we felt completely at home in the surroundings. Excellent coffee and tea. Will be calling there again.

The waiter was really rude. He got angry because we moved to another table as some people were talking too loudly. He cleaned the table while my friend was having coffee. He asked us to leave as soon as she finished her coffee. He seems to dislike foreigners in his café. I recommend going to other cafés in the same street.

This little cafe is tucked away in a courtyard, but it is worth seeking out. Welcoming, good coffee and reasonably priced. Nice place to stop off for a snack away from the hustle and bustle.

We had an amazing hot chocolate and mocha which were very good value especially with the free extras they offer with the drinks. The food looks amazing also and they owners seem very friendly. Will definitely return next time I come to Ramsgate. A little difficult to find but definitely worth it once there.

We've been coming to Gerry's now, for at least 5 years, and have always enjoyed the time spent there. There's relaxing background music to accompany one of the best hot chocolate drinks I've ever tasted. Really friendly staff with the bonus of no one rushing you. Excellent quality of food, though it has to be said, it is limited, but there is a very reasonable variety of food, so please don't let that put you off. We would certainly recommend this place to anyone if asked where to eat at a reasonable price. Lots of 'regulars' so that in itself must say something. Hope this place stays for a Very Long Time to come, because it would be very hard to replace,

Despite living in Ramsgate for years this was the first time I'd visited Gerry's although I'd always thought it looked nice. There's art on the wall, it specialises in milkshakes and ice creams, and has a little toy area for kids. We went in after school on a quiet Monday with our children and ordered desserts and drinks. There were only another couple of tables full so not busy by any means. My son decided he wanted a drink so I gave him the money and sent him to the counter - just like he does everywhere else. Then my daughter decided she needed a cola so I did the same with her. They snapped at my son and told him to wait but happily served my daughter. When I realised what had happened I asked what the problem was and they said he wanted them to tell him what drinks they had - not really a big ask I would have thought in a cafe especially as he can't read. I gave him a hug and asked him what he'd like and he said he felt bad asking for a drink now so could he just have a water. Neither drink arrived and I had to go back up to the counter and ask, after which they reluctantly brought the cola and a glass. We waited again for my son's water which never surfaced so I had to go up with the empty glass and ask them to please fill it from the tap. My son is being assessed for ASD so I can only assume they just thought he was being difficult but we've not had any problems anywhere else and I sincerely hope this was not the case. What should have been a lovely treat for him turned into a situation where he felt different and unfairly treated. I would suggest a course in neuro diversity but to be honest Ramsgate is full of great, friendly cafes so we just won't be back.

A relaxed and peaceful coffee shop set away from the bustle of the town hidden behind other shops. Relaxing background music, local art on the walls. Food brought to table by relaxed and friendly staff. The prices are low but the food quality and drinks are excellent. I would hate this place to get too popular as it is such a lovely relaxing place - but I would hate it to close through lack of patronage as I would like to continue coming here for the foreseeable future.

We came across this coffee shop as we were exploring Ramsgate. It's hidden in a square away from the busy streets, having said that it was busy. It has outside seating which would be good in the summer.but no sun on the day we visited :( We enjoyed a light lunch and coffee in very pleasant surroundings. We will certainly we visiting again.

Limited menu, presumably due to limitations in facilities. However, everything is freshly made and always uncludes little touches and flourishes e.g grapes on the salad, fresh baked baguettes. The milk shakes at £3 are amazing.

This establishment is off the beaten track, tucked away in the old part of Ramsgate off York Street (near the Harbour Street end), but is well worth a visit. Great coffee and good selection of snacks, ice creams and cakes. There is always a warm welcome from Gerry and his wife. The premises are quirky, nice and clean, and there is access for wheelchairs. We enjoyed sitting at one of the tables outside. Good value prices for the quality of the food and beverages.

I visited Gerry's with my son and family for lunch. He couldn't do enough for us, for example, suggesting the two little girls shared a round of sandwiches as they were large. We returned later in the week for ice creams and coffee and he brought out "extras" for the girls. This is a little oasis away from the hurley burley of Ramsgate Harbour and seafront.

Popped in on a Saturday morning for coffee and a slice of cake. Have always wanted to give this café a try. It's in a lovely location in the old town. Cafe was not that busy, only four or five people. Unusual, quirky décor...........liked that as its different. Went in, sat down......didn't know if you waited to be served or had to go to counter. Man and woman serving. No welcome, hello, sit down & we'll come over etc etc. I ordered a coffee, which was more froth than liquid. I was starving so ordered a piece of coffee cake. WELL, when the cake arrived (five minutes after the coffee), it was so tiny...a mouse would still have been hungry. My partner had a warmed up scone and herbal tea, which was alright. I found the service slow and lacked friendliness and choice. It has good potential, and there were aspects which were good (clean, good location) however.......not the best....we wont go again. Sorry...........

Took 10 minutes to get a cup of coffee - and there was only one person in front of me. NOT dog friendly, or any other kind of friendly. Very loud man giving his opinion to all an sundry about local politics - not what you want when you want to relax. Cheap, but not of good quality and I prefer to remain silent about the art.

Found this unusual cafe in the old part of ramsgate, near the harbour. Good selection of homemade cakes and scones as well as teas and coffees etc. Very reasonable prices with friendless service. Seems to have an air about the place that the locals like. Seeing as I often walk into Ramsgate quite often I will be visiting again.

This cafe is tucked away off a side street, ideal for those days when it's a bit blustery on the front. The cafe serves a selection of breakfast goods including Gerry's porridge 'how you like it', available with a range of tasty additions. My partner had two soft boiled eggs with large soldiers, I had a baked potatoe with tuna, which came with a nice salad including walnuts. Plain and simple and good value for money. There is also a good selection of artwork to browse.
